We had followed Il Volo, up to the concerts in Taormina, but since then there have been many events to talk about.
The World Meeting of Families at the Vatican and the beautiful meeting of Piero, Ignazio and Gianluca and their respective families, with the Pope, was really very beautiful and exciting, an event of which Susan spoke very well to you.
There was Piero’s birthday and everyone wrote their best wishes for him, even on our site the beautiful publication edited by Jana and Kelly, and Piero, while he was flying to Germany, made a short video of thanks to all the fans.
“Hello to all the fan clubs, I have received all your messages, wishes for my birthday, thank you again, you are always too kind. ❤
Now we are on the flight to Frankfurt, for the concert tonight, tomorrow night we’ll sing in Düsseldorf, we are waiting for you at all the concerts.”
Then, there were the first two concerts abroad, and exactly in:
June 25 in Frankfurt.
There was a lot of emotion, sold out. The audience was very warm.

My friend Albertine, from Netherlands, was in Düsseldorf, at her first Il Volo concert, that’s what she wrote to me.
“Hi Daniela, I am back in our hotel and I am very happy.
Their voices are amazing. It is a pity they did not come down from the stage as in Frankfurt. But any how I am very happy.
I cannot express in words. They are fantastic.
It was more than what I have imagined.
Their voices are really so good. Imagine, I took the train from Holland and my friend Marie-Jeanne Jans from Belgium, to Düsseldorf.
We haven’t met and for the first time met in the hotel in Düsseldorf, because of IL Volo. We are best friends now. Two old ladies that long to see and hear IL Volo.
That was an evening that we will never forget. In our hotel, we met a lot of people who came from Holland to be in the concert of IL Volo. The next morning we met and talk about the concert. After seen them in concert makes me more love them and respect them. I hope one day I can meet them personally and able to hug each one of them. ❤❤❤ 🌹🌹🌹 Send them my love, please. I wish I could speak Italian then I can understand all what they are talking. But I have enjoyed the concert very much. Next time, I hope to be in Taormina.”

………. but it is not so, Il Volo stopped at the beautiful Villa D’Este on Lake Como, for a private event, the celebrations of the 150th anniversary of Villa D’Este.
Villa D’Este is a beautiful villa in Cernobbio, on Lake Como.
It is considered one of the most beautiful works of architectural art of the sixteenth century, it is surrounded by a 10-hectare (24.71 acres) park with centenary plants, and in its halls you can admire fascinating works of art.

I went with my sister to Verona al the way from the Netherlands for the concert on june the 3. It was awesome so beautiful. I stil enjoy when i thinking back of the concert. I wish Piero, Gianluca and Ignazio good luck with the tour and hope they stay safe so all the Il Volo fans can enjoy the concerts 🍀🍀🍀🇾🇪

Joyce, we fans can’t get enough of seeing Il Volo. Here in Italy, last Saturday in the evening they re-viewed the Verona concert of a year ago, and even though it was the third time they showed it on TV, it had the maximum of television ratings. Then, yesterday, which was Sunday, RAI broadcast two TV shows in which Il Volo was there, in short, two beautiful days in their company !!

It is so good to see them back on the stage and sharing their beautiful voices with their fans in person. Recently Daniela published some of my thoughts about the concerts in Taormina. Now I have remembered a few things about those 2 days that you might find interesting and would like to add them here. Pardon the longish post.
On June 11 we were entering the walkway to the main floor of the theater which takes you kind of back stage , then around the stage into the seats. It was 1/2 hour before the show was to start . Suddenly one of the staff loudly asked us and others to move aside and motioning us to one side. We did this and looked around to see what was happening and here comes Gian hurrying along holding the hand of his girlfriend, Eleanora. He was dressed in street clothes but she was all dressed up in pretty strapless dress of a goldish color. They passed us by and hurried to the dressing rooms. He had missed the sound check and had not even changed into concert clothes yet. But 1/2 hour later he appeared on stage looking great in his concert clothes. Cutting it close that night. That same evening about 10 minutes before the concert started Piero’s mom and sister enter the theater and were seated right across the aisle from us. They were in there only a few minutes when groups of people, mostly young women approached Mariagrazia. They did not seem to know her as there were no looks of recognition on her part. They wanted a selfie with her and she graciously posed smiling with her fans. She was so kind to everyone who approached her to say hello. She and her mom were smiling proudly and applauding throughout the whole show. AT the end when the guys were introducing the band and touching hands of the fans around the stage, Mr Barone appeared from the back , went to his wife’s seat, took her hand and they made a slow exit toward the back . Mrs Barone occasionally looking over her shoulder to see what they guys were doing on the stage. He had probably been back stage during the show, and they wanted to make an exit before the crush of the crowd leaving the theater.
The next day we came around a corner after doing some sightseeing, and who should be standing in the street but Mr Ginoble holding Luna on a leash. I think Mrs Ginoble was in a store and he was patiently waiting for her to come out. We had the opportunity to say hello to both Mr. Ginoble and to Luna. it was fun to see all these people whom I recognize from social media now in person.

This a little late but 2 of the 3 Eleonora were sitting behind me and my son at the first Taormina concert. His mom Eleonora and girfriend, Eleonora. She was wearing a spectacular glittery dress. During the concert GG came down off of the stage and put a jacket on her shoulders because it was a little breezy that night. GG is definitely smitten.with the young lady. It was so good to see Piero’s mom, the 3rd Eleonora at the concert too.
Thanks RoseMarie, you remembered things that we could not have seen, and also thanks for confirming in such a kind way that Gianluca is really in love with Eleonora.
We all know that Piero’s mother is very reserved, but discovering that while she was leaving the theater she turned to see the last moments of the concert, shows her great pride as a mother.
Thank you so much. With every story you bring us, my anticipation grows for my first concert in September! Im actually delerious with joy and love waiting my chance to see them in person. Never in my 89 years have I wanted so much to experience anyone as I do these three beautiful people.
