Il Volo was a guest on the television show Le Iene.
The notice of their participation was communicated to us by Piero, Gianluca and Ignazio themselves in this way:
IGNAZIO= Maybe you’ve gotten tired of Max (presenter of Le IENE), we’re here.
PIERO= You have the new hosts of Le Iene in front of you.
GIANLUCA= No, no, new no.
IGNAZIO= At 9.15pm tonight.
GIANLUCA= See you tonight.
But let me explain what the Le Iene program broadcast on Italia 1 consists of.
It is a program that offers investigations and journalistic services using an irreverent and satirical style.
The studio hosts who present the various journalistic services this year are Veronica Gentili and Max Angioni.
I’m sure you will have really liked our three boys in their black suits, white shirts and ties, but know that that is Le Iene’s usual dress.
I have to admit though that they were truly beautiful. 😍😍😍
The episode begins with Capolavoro and Max Angioni (the one with the black bob hair) together with two collaborators (two other Iene) they start singing in Gianluca’s place…….but then they arrive!!!! ❤️❤️❤️

VERONICA= How wonderful, or rather what a masterpiece, because this was Masterpiece and they are Il Volo! (applause)
Welcome guys, what an honor to have you here, I’m really mortified for these three scoundrels who every time someone arrives they have to get in the way……
IGNAZIO= Unfortunately we cannot say that they are a masterpiece….
VERONICA= You’re right, we can’t really say…
GIANLUCA= I would like to be Max.
MAX= Good.
VERONICA= And despite this, always in the middle… so Il Volo stays with us and in the meantime we begin this episode with Gaston Zama’s journalistic report.

MAX= Wait, please! Ready, let’s start with the news. (it’s real but ridiculous news)
Then: “Delta Airlines nightmare in flight (I play on the word flight) it rains worms on the passengers and the plane turns back, mostly due to the complaints of the animal rights activists who had asked for the vegan menu!!” 😂😂😂 (laughter) It makes you think!
GIANLUCA= “Lighthouse keeper wanted, 3000 euros per month, requirements:
do not suffer from vertigo,
don’t suffer loneliness,
don’t have the habit of turning off the light when he leaves the room” 🤣🤣🤣 (laughter)
MAX= Makes you laugh and makes you think. You can throw it if you want (the news) . Please. (to Ignazio)
IGNAZIO= “Rhianna (singer) performs for 1 and a half hours for the richest Indian for an absurd sum. The magnate comments: -I was convinced that she was Beyoncé, good anyway- 😂😂😂(laughter)
MAX= Insults…..(Piero starts reading his news) You’re welcome.
IGNAZIO= (to Piero) I swear that if it doesn’t make you laugh I’ll throw you out like a masterpiece!
(Piero naturally plays along from the beginning, seeming like the one who doesn’t wait for his moment to read)
PIERO= (finally he can read his news)
“A news agent for 36 years, he works every day.
36 years and a day ago, his wife told him:
– As soon as you get home we’ll do the math! -” 😂😂😂 (laughter)
I don’t understand!
MAX= Okay, it doesn’t matter.
PIERO= (He pretends to be angry) Give me a close-up (and throws his crumpled tissue paper)
MAX= And we close with:
“Cocaine in the air of Rome, the drug recorded by the control units (which measures the quality of the air) I believe that from tomorrow in the city it will be snorted with alternate nostrils.” 🤣🤣🤣 (it is a parody because when the control units register unhealthy air, citizens are obliged to circular with alternating car license plates)

Really funny, I dare say irreverent, but they were good, I liked them and also their elegance, reminded us of so much beauty, and perhaps also that these are the most alternative clothes compared to current fashion. 😉
But here is a roundup of photos from the evening.
Today was an unforgettable moment, not for the experience but for the intensity. The music is a masterpiece – with Il Volo in the Le Iene studios.
Meanwhile, the list of concerts both in Italy and abroad continues to increase. A concert in Switzerland has recently been added.
And then PARIS, and I think it’s the first time in Paris.
While in the Arena in Verona the fourth evening was added on May 13th and then in Rome at the prestigious Baths of Caracalla on June 8th. 🥰🥰
As many of you will know, in recent days our Piero also had time to register for the Bologna half marathon, here he is registering and handing over his bib.

PIERO= I now live here, 2/3 of Il Volo are here (Bologna). It’s a beautiful city.
The last marathon I did was in New York and then I took a bit of a break because I was on tour with the guys, and now we’re off to Japan again, so this is just pre-tour training.
I started just as a matter of breath, to increase resistance, then, when you are ambitious and set a goal, you always try to achieve it, and running is perhaps the most intimate moment for each of us, us with ourselves.

The news of the release of the new CD interested many newspapers.
And we hope that listening to the new songs will be positively received by critics.
Their performance at Le Iene was really funny but also elegant!!
Many congratulations to Piero for running the half marathon!!
There is excitement for the new CD, we don’t know what to expect but we trust in the taste of our beloved young men.

Yes Kirsten, a truly relaxing and cheerful presence for our Piero, Gianluca and Ignazio in the IENE version. It seems that Capolavoro is very popular, I hear it used more and more often in television programs and it is also playing regularly on the radio.
Thanks again for another great story! 😊😊 I love Capolavoro but just wish I could get it out of my head ALL DAY LONG! I’m not humming it, but it’s still there. Could be worse, could be a march, I suppose!
Hi Dolores, can you sing Capolavoro? I also have it in my head, but I can`t sing it. I have been singing in choirs for 50 years but I am not able to sing this song .The lyrics are alright, but not the melodie. That makes me sad.
I have the tune running constantly in my head, but don’t know the words. I really don’t think you’d want to hear this nearly 92 yr old lady sing, anyway!! 😝😝😝 Just love our young men, though. Hugs, Dol.

Hi Ursula! Yes, I downloaded the free DuoLingo app on my iPhone after my first IL VOLO concert in 2016. Now my local library system offers a really nice app called MANGO. I think it’s a bit better.
