10 October, Hungary
The tour continues at a brisk pace . . .
. . . in the beautiful Budapest, in the MVM DOME arena, with a capacity of over 10,000 people.
The view at the beginning of the concert is truly impressive.
A short but effective and beautiful summary of some moments of the concert.

LIBIAM DE LIETI CALICI with the soprano Elina Netsajeva
CAPOLAVORO
MEMORY
Always nice to hear this beautiful song from Ignazio’s voice! ❤️
E LUCEVAN LE STELLE
Piero with his powerful lyrical voice, what a dream! ❤️
This video is really special and in its entirety, Gianluca singing THE MUSIC OF THE NIGHT wonderfully, rejoice!❤️
And what to say about this other single by Gianluca sung in Budapest: BRIDGE OVER TROUBLED WATERS❤️
I found this video and I left it for last because I find it really wonderful, finally we can listen to THE SOUND OF SILENCE in its entirety and at the beginning the voices of Il Volo are subdued, and then follow with all the strength, I like it very much !! ❤️
the final
Backstage with Il Volo, Cellist Jodok Vuille, the soprano Elina Netsajeva and Marcelito Pomoy, who went to see the concert.
Marcelito Pomoy is a very famous Filipino singer, he won Philippines Got’s Talent and participated in America’s Got Talent, his peculiarity is that he sings with both a baritone voice and a mezzo-soprano voice and therefore plays both in the same song roles for men and women!!!
October 12, Czech Republic: PRAGUE
The concert is held in the beautiful and largest arena in Prague, Arena 02.
Here too, great public participation, great warmth, great love!
02 Arena, after the concert published these words:
“A spectacular show full of Italian passion from Il Volo lit up the O2 arena just last night.”
I found this video of a fan filming her concert experience from outside the arena and then several songs.
It’s nice to hear so much applause for our dear young men. Our dear friend, Alicja, was kind enough to provide the translation/summary of the words of this Ukranian lady.
Summary:
Hello, I came to Prague alone, for concert of Italian pop opera trio. It is trio of 3 boys who sing pop opera. I could not attend concerts since 3 years, this time I bought ticket as well very late, I have my seat very high in the arena. Look behind it is O2 Arena, it is famous venue for concerts, hockey games and other shows. I think I will enjoy this evening. Look how many people are already in the queues and still coming from all directions. Concert is sold out. Here you see escalators, I will go up to my sector. Here you can buy snacks and drinks, even alcoholic drinks you can buy before event. Now I want to show you the view of entire Arena. I like such big venues, feel small here. I still have time so will walk a bit around Arena.
AFTER CONCERT: I’m so amazed, concert was incomparable to anything I saw before, fantastic performance, great young boys, great singers.
But how sweet is this child who wants to give flowers to his favorite… Piero takes the flowers, but the child has clear ideas, his favorite is Gianluca!!❤️😂😂😍
MISERERE
HERE’S TO YOU
Il Volo with maestro Martin Sanda who conducted the orchestra.
Only two days of break, incredible to think how Piero, Gianluca and Ignazio can move places in just two days, rehearse with a different orchestra and maybe with a few different songs and always be at the top. By the way, as some of you asked, they also manage to visit the cities where they hold concerts, as demonstrated by the photos that they themselves publish of the monuments or typical places of the various cities, and we are happy that they manage to do so.
14 October Spain: BARCELONA
The concert is held in AUDITORI FORUM.
The beginning of the concert:
NELLE TUE MANI from Il Gladiatore
WHO WANTS TO LIVE FOREVER
AD ASTRA
OPERA
GRANADA
GRANDE AMORE in Spanish, Italian and English 😂
CCIB (Barcelona International Convention Centre) published these words:
“🎶 Piero Barone, Ignazio Boschetto and Gianluca Ginoble, the renowned members of the Italian opera trio Il Volo were the protagonists of a memorable performance last night at the #CCIB Forum Auditorium, as part of the Festival della Croce d’Autunno Concerts Cruïlla. Thank you for giving Barcelona this special musical evening!”
And the event organizer CONCERT CRUILLA wrote this:
“Last night @ilvolomusic transformed the @ccib_auditori into a refuge for lovers of opera, intergenerational hits and the Italian essence that only they can transport all over the world. 🐚
The sensitivity of this trio contrasted with their lyrical skill and a staging that won us over from the start!”
And so three more concerts have concluded and I would say in an impressive way as regards the participation of the fans and the professionalism of our beloved ones.
Even in Barcelona Il Volo was greeted with warm applause and affection.
Only two days after Spain and then there will be the next concert in Germany…….but do you think there will be a whole day of rest???
But not by chance, because on October 15th Il Volo returned to Italy, to Rome for a private event in the beautiful Palazzo Colonna, of which we can only give you this short video.
And then back to Germany for the next concert.
But there is still something new!
From the next concert in Germany there will be a regular guest in Il Volo concerts, her name is Cecille (Cecilia Sordoni), a good singer from the Marche region.
Here is the announcement made by ANSA CULTURE.
CLICK HERE to view the ANSA article
Il Volo, the singer Cecille will be the guest of all the European dates starting from tonight’s live show in Dusseldorf.
After London, Bratislava, Budapest, Prague and Barcelona, Il Volo continues the World Tour and announces that Cecille, a young singer from the Marche region, will be a regular guest on all the upcoming European dates starting from tonight’s live at the Mitsubishi Electric Halle in Düsseldorf until last show on November 6th at the Wizink Center in Madrid.
The meeting between Il Volo and Cecille was born by chance, when Piero Barone, Gianluca Ginoble and Ignazio Boschetto, always looking for new sounds and talents, came across some of her videos on Andrea Bocelli’s social media.
Impressed by her interpretation and voice, they decided to contact her and offer her the opportunity to perform with them on all the upcoming dates of the European tour.
“We all agreed that she was the perfect talent to accompany us on our concerts in Europe and we are happy that she immediately accepted our proposal with enthusiasm,” explains the trio who later discovered that Cecille is part of the Bocelli family. (in the sense that she often sang with Bocelli)
The singer has already conquered international audiences with extraordinary performances, including one at the White House in 2023, when she sang in front of First Lady Jill Biden interpreting Lucio Dalla’s Caruso.
While the 2024/2025 World Tour continues with European appointments until November, for Italian fans of Il Volo the appointment is set for January 2025 with Tutti per uno – ad Astra live in sports halls, the tour in the main Italian arenas produced by Friends & Partners. The World Tour will then continue in the USA, Canada and Latin America.
And now look at how cute this video is with Cecille breaking the news to Bocelli.
CECILLE= Hi Andrea, I came to say hello, I have a flight not to miss. (flight in Italian = Volo, she plays on the double meaning of the word).
BOCELLI= Do you have a flight not to miss? Where to?
PIERO= Andrea is coming to us, don’t worry.
IGNAZIO= Yes, in any case it was a misunderstanding, the flight (Il Volo) is us, not intended as an airline…
GIANLUCA= Andrea, Cecille will come with us on tour in Europe. Get ready to fly.
BOCELLI= In this case, how to say…..(he starts playing the song VOLARE on the piano). Good luck everyone!
CECILLE= Ciao!
And here are the words published by Cecille:
“Once again reality surpasses all my dreams, all my imaginations.
I can’t find the words to describe the emotion and honor of being part of this extraordinary journey with Il Volo for inviting me to join their European Tour.
Piero, Gianluca, Ignazio, the words ‘Thank you’ will never be enough.
All my gratitude to Andrea Bocelli whose music and support have always inspired me throughout my journey.
And now we get ready to fly…Düsseldorf we arrive!✈️🎶🌍✨❤️”
See you soon: Daniela 🤗

Their voices get more powerful on every tour. The just keep getting better and better!!!! Love them so. Loved the video from the lady in Prague. Enjoyed it so!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I agree with you Linda, their voices are always more beautiful and always amaze us! Yes, that video from Prague is beautiful and thanks to Alicja we were also able to understand the words! 😉
Absolutely fantastic, amazing! They keep on getting better even though it doesn’t seem possible!!!
True Gwen, every time we think, they can’t do better than this and then they get even better, incredible!! 🥰
Thanks for all the information on their touring. May the guys stay healthy, energetic, and continue to spread the goodness in life through their music. Glad to hear that they do get to see some of the sites as they travel from city to city. Looking forward to more of the performances ahead.
Yes Barb, every time I see several photos personally published by them with various famous monuments or artists’ houses or restaurants, I believe that their work is not considered “a burden” for them and their friendship is strong, all these things make you overcome tiredness and enjoying the company of others. 😍
Dear Daniela, thank you for the beautiful summary of the guys’ other concerts. I would very much like to express my impressions from Prague, where I saw the guys for the first time at a sound check and then at a live concert. Although I’ve only been following them for six months (and you don’t know how sorry I am that I didn’t discover them earlier), I’ve definitely become a loyal fan and I brought my daughter to them as well. Which I also proved by buying tickets for the front row – two days before the concert, they happened to appear on the ticket portal. So I immediately grabbed them and only then started to figure out what to do with my original tickets somewhere in the middle of the hall. (And yes, I have already bought tickets to Vienna and I would really like to see one of their concerts in Italy). Just wondering – how long can a post in this thread be?
If you allow, I would very much like to share with you my impressions from my first live concert in beautiful Prague. I will not list here which songs and in which order they were sung, Daniela has already covered that. Rather, I will just add a few things from my point of view.
The boys arrived the day before the concert and in the evening visited one of the best Asian sushi restaurants in Prague, the wonderful “budha-bar Prague”. (Piero shared the photo). I assume that they devoted the next day to a tour of Prague, but unfortunately I did not meet them.
I had bought tickets for the concert right in the middle of the first row, and I had my daughter with me, who, unlike me, speaks perfect English, so she kept translating everything for me. (Unfortunately, this text is the work of an automatic translator, so please excuse any inaccuracies). Of course, we signed up for the sound check full of expectations. About 25 of us gathered in front of the side entrance of the O2 Arena. They checked our registration, our bags and then we waited for a while before they let us into the hall. It was interesting to watch the technicians and the boys and their interactions with each other for 3/4 hours. It was a bit more relaxed than a concert and there was a working atmosphere interspersed with banter between the guys. The daughter commented that they have a very nice friendly – or rather brotherly – dynamic between them, which is not always common among members of musical groups. I have to totally agree with her.
But what surprised me the most, almost shocked me (because I didn’t expect it) was the charisma that radiated from the boys right up to the stage, and which I strongly perceived. And when, after a short, relatively quiet discussion with the technician, one of them unexpectedly began to sing – the whole hall was suddenly filled with incredible energy, enhanced by the beauty and purity of their voices! (I’m getting chills again as I write this.) I don’t recall experiencing anything like this with any other singer. I couldn’t wait even more for the concert itself.
Unfortunately, I also have to condemn the incomprehensible behavior of one female fan who shouted at Ignazio if Michelle was here and where she was (despite the strong instructions we received from John upon entering to sit quietly and not disturb). Guys have holy patience! Ignazio answered politely, but then cut it off with “I’m working”. I hope this is an isolated thing, it would be a shame if the guys decided to cancel the fans’ participation in the sound check. I don’t know of any other group that allows something like this. They finally left the stage and then led us out to the front of the Arena. We already went to the concert through the main entrance like everyone else.
I’ll say right from the start that I’ve never experienced a concert from the front row. I don’t know how the listeners of the boys from the back rows feel, I can only compare with the concerts of other singers, when I sat in different places outside the spaces in front of the stage. But already at the sound check, I was absolutely sure that in the future I will not buy tickets for Il Volo other than the front rows. It’s a completely different experience, being able to watch the expressions on the guys’ faces up close and hear their amazing voices right in front of you. Yes, there are side screens in the vast majority of scenes, but they feel flat, plain, lifeless to me. I go to other concerts and will continue to go for the music, whereas I will go to Il Volo for the guys and their music. And I see a big difference in that. 🙂
I firmly believe that the guys were very pleasantly surprised by the reception of the audience in Prague (and I hope that Prague will also be on the tour schedule next year). People in the audience expressed incredible enthusiasm throughout the concert, applauded even in the middle of the songs and perhaps stood up after each song and expressed their admiration with long applause and waving. And all three could see that they were enjoying it. The entire O2 Arena has 18,000 seats for sports broadcasts on the entire surface, for concerts it is adjusted to about half, and the guys managed to fill it almost completely. During the concert, they went down from the auditorium only once and only to the left side, and were immediately surrounded by a crowd of fans who wanted to greet them, pat them, take pictures with them…and they managed everything while singing and smiling. I will admit that I admire the boys in this. But I personally can’t imagine that I would have to shove them between the seats like this so that I could literally reach for them. So I just stood there and watched.
Many fans had prepared various gifts for their favorites that they wanted to give them. Although there were barriers in front of the stage and the organizers tried to guard access to the stage, they gave up over time and even helped some. What else was left for them, when in every gap between songs people rushed to the stage and tried to give the boys flowers, bags, boxes… There were a few funny moments, like the little boy already mentioned by Daniela, who insisted that Piero must return the flowers to him , because he wants to pass them on to Gian. Or when Gianluca thanked him for his drawn picture and the lady misled him that she was not giving it to him, but just wanted him to sign it and return it. An interesting moment was when they received beautiful big white roses, but only two and Ignazio was the unlucky one (which of course he immediately commented on).
In some cases, the boys literally performed acrobatics and had to hold each other as they tried to reach the presents through the boxes that were stacked in front of the stage.
As always, all three not only sang beautifully, but also entertained the audience. After Ignazio sang his solo, Gianluca praised him loudly: “Good job, you could be a singer, think about it!”
One of the funniest moments was provided by Ignazio (how else). He received a gift bag from one of the fans with a bottle and a wish for all three boys. Ignazio for the wedding, Piero for singing Ave María). It was probably written by hand, as Igna played perfect comedy trying to decipher the writing. Especially with Piero, when it was not clear whether it was written “he” Piero or “she” Piera and he developed a debate with Piero about it. All Gian had to do was tap his forehead when Ignazio literally wanted to prove that Piero was a man (yes, I have it on tape).
Although Ignazio got married, luckily, that playfulness and joking still remained in him. At the London concert, Piero said that “now that Igna is married, he has lost his partner in crime”. Well, I’d say Piero doesn’t think so now. 🙂
I would also like to mention one aspect, the much-discussed inclusion of Simon & Garfunkel songs. I really like these singers very much and it made me really happy. “Sound of silent” is my favorite. Some say that this song cannot be sung by another performer without losing the soul of the song. I don’t agree with that, to me they are two very different versions and I love them both. And Ignazio’s stronger voice fits Il Volo’s version really well. If he had sung more gently, I wouldn’t have found the emotion he added to “Court”. In Prague, they performed yet another composition in a solo velvet performance by Gianluca “Bridge over troubled Watter” (my second favorite from SG).
By the way, did you know that about a year ago Gianluca made a post where he was sailing a small boat down a river while singing “Sound of silence”? It can also be found on YouTube. Based on that, I would guess that it was he who suggested expanding their repertoire in this direction.
I took away one more knowledge from the concert. Next time I’ll just take a few photos and videos and that’s it. Although I now have very good documentation from Prague, I realize at the same time that I deprived myself of a large part of the experience. (Also, I took turns with my daughter). And there’s also the fact that over time I started to feel quite uncomfortable that the boys weren’t getting my full attention, which they undoubtedly deserved for their performance. (I don’t know how in the back rows, but in the front row, where the guys can see you directly, this feeling is definitely heightened).
The Prague concert was my first live encounter with Il Volo. And it certainly won’t be my last, because whoever hears them like this once needs to hear them again. 🙂
What a great article about everything that happened at concert. One of these days I’ll make one of their concerts. I saw different concert dates but nothing for USA. Guess I have to keep praying
Oh Iva! What a wonderful impressions of the Prague concert! I loved everything! I agree with you that there is nothing like sitting in the front row! I attended a Notte Magica concert in Chicago. It was a more formal setting. We were told not to use our cameras. I still snuck some photos and videos until the woman told me she would take my phone if I did not quit! How rude! I was holding my camera at my chest very close to my body. No one behind me could see it, I was not blocking anyone’s view. I just wanted a few pictures. Mostly I wanted to record some of the banter between the songs. But all was well when I went to the Meet & Greet. The guys were very sweet to everyone.
I am so glad you had a wonderful time and I agree that once you hear them live you must do it again! When they come to the US I will try to go to two concerts. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us! 😘
Thank you very much! I am grateful for all the information on this site and so glad I could contribute a little. Actually, I remembered two more things that I wanted to share. And somehow it fell out of the text.
The first is related to Ignazio. It was beautiful to see that he is still in euphoria about his wedding (of course, and probably will be for a long time) and he likes to show it to everyone with a cheerful smile. Especially with the little gestures he gives to the ring on his finger! 🙂 As a guest, they chose the Estonian soprano Elina Nechayeva, with whom they sang Ad Astra and Libiam (Elina represented Estonia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2018).
In the middle of the song, Ignazio very cutely turned down Elina’s dance with a telltale tap on the ring. So Elina turned to Piero and Ignazio performed an elegant couple dance with Gian. And I’m not even talking about Ignazio’s fascination with Elina’s pregnant belly! 🙂 But what got me was the beautiful gesture he made while reading a fan’s wedding wish. Thank you with glowing eyes and then a small kiss to the ring on his hand. Oh the love…
And as for Gianluca, I got the feeling he benefited greatly from the holidays, a new relationship, or probably both. Because he seemed very relaxed on stage, he laughed and joked with the guys a lot more than usual.
Dear Iva, what a wonderful comment you made about the Prague concert. I can give you the information, which I take from what I see published in various videos or news, but having your direct impressions is priceless. I’m so happy that you went to your first concert and yes, you really only know them for a short time but they have already entered your heart. I agree with you that if you succeed you have to be in the front rows, you can really have the clear sensation of the looks of understanding between them and the gratitude towards their fans. Good that you brought your daughter and that she knew English well to help you understand their speeches. Congratulations also for how you wrote everything and I agree with you, I love THE SOUND OF SILENCE both in the first version and in the fantastic version of Il Volo. We look forward to more of your impressions in the future.🥰
Thank you so much Daniela! It is exactly as you say. Once you hear them, they stay in your heart. Now I am gradually expanding the ranks of their fans among my friends. My daughter is already in the Fanclub and I already have tickets to Vienna 2025 together with two friends 🙂
I would like to see another concert directly in Italy during my vacation. I don’t know when it will be, but I’m already starting to learn Italian 🙂
Thank you for your reaction to being in the front row -how exciting! It would be my greatest wish to experience this myself! I am waiting to hopefully see them in Canada!
I see a change in Gianluca – he seems more relaxed, more confident and his singing is more pure, emotional and loving and mature than before- and I was sure he was perfect before! He brings out the personality in Piero and it is great to see! Of course Igna doesn’t need help with his personality so together they are a wonderful group enjoying their fans and each other! Again a huge thank you for sharing your reactions to what was another amazing concert of il volo ❤️❤️❤️
Wow!! – what an outstanding report on the Prague Concert Iva – very newsy – very nice – thank you.
Wow, Iva I am impressed
That at your first concert you sat in the center of the first row, mine was about 20 row behind on an aisle so the best part of the show was when sang “Here’s To You” Gian came down my aisle and I came close to being able to touch his jacket…but the guards got in my way!! My next US show will be front row! They are amazing and lovely and you just can’t help falling in love every time they sing! I also feel Gian has relaxed or just come into own (he’s always was shy)! Could be Claudia or just him feeling more confident.
Another new friend from the US (Florida & Connecticut)!
Looking forward to hearing about your next ILVOLO concert!
Sending Hugs, Carol 💖💖💖🎵🎤🎼🎶🤗🙏🏻☮️🇺🇸
Dear Daniela and Pat, thank you once again for a pleasant Sunday read! I’m always puzzled by how they always seem to be getting better and better…I suppose maturity could be part of it but I also think that they all feel sooo at home wherever they go once they look at the masses of fans waiting to hear what they have to offer! I love that they called Andrea to make sure he knew they were “borrowing “ one of “his singers”, love that! Their not only respectful of other artist but they don’t forget the ones who were important when they were coming up.
Your article as always is full of excitement, songs and photos of our boys but Iva’s comments were very enlightening and entertaining and only added to the story!
Just really cannot wait for them to return to the US!! It’s been two very long, dry years!!!
Thank you again…sending you both hugs and affection,
Carol💖💖💖🎼🎤❤️😘🤗🙏☮️
You’re most welcome, Carol! The guys sure have gotten better and better. 😃 Yes, I also cannot wait for them to come back to the US. My first and only show was Notte Magica in Chicago in 2017. I didn’t get to see them in 2020 (they cancelled the last three shows) or 2022 (my back surgery) so I am more than ready to hear them sing live! 😍 Love and hugs to you, Carol! 😘🤗
I saw them for the first time at Radio city music hall in Ny in 2022! I was so excited I could hardly contain myself and they never did disappoint me! I actually went with Susan DeBartoli, we met at the site but we had different seats and I didn’t understand about meet & greet…so I missed that, won’t let that happen again!
I’m really hoping we can meet at one of the concerts!
Carol’s impressions from someone who was present at the concert are priceless and always add a touch of extra emotion and Iva was good at making us understand all her feelings about it. It’s nice to read how much positive impact Ignazio, Piero and Gianluca had on a new fan.
Wonderful coverage of the concerts as usual. They seem to be so happy and it is great to see Gianluca smiling so much more than he did before, so happy for the three of them. I agree about front row seats, first concert I was in the second row which was great, second concert with friends and we were too far back and I said never again, first row only if I can get lucky and get a front row seat hopefully for the Florida concert, can’t wait, really missed seeing them this year. By the way love them singing Sounds of Silence, excellent job by all three.
I agree One of these days I will see them in USA. I keep looking at tour schedules but I don’t see anything for Pittsburgh or Pa
Beverley, I really agree with you Gianluca smiles a lot more, he’s obviously happy and seeing him happy makes us fans happy too.
What can I say, being in the front row is certainly a great privilege, in Brescia I was one meter from the stage, priceless!!
Thank you for the post on their concert ,i saw them in London and we were told not to use phones to take photos ,they were brilliant ,i still think the tour is too long ,i bet they dont know what time of day it is or where they are ,also their voices must take alot of looking after ,they are amazing at what they do and i am glad to see Ignazio is the one who brings fun to the show ,Pieros voice when he sings Opera is out of this world regards
Yes I love opera too and everything they sing. One of these days I’ll see them live. Still praying for USA tour
Pamela, how nice to know that you were in London and thanks for adding details about the concert. We are all a little worried about the tour de force to which Piero, Ignazio and Gianluca are subjected, but I firmly believe that they are not naive and it is within their capabilities. 😉
You are right Ina. Now I basically realized that we only officially know the dates of the concerts in advance. So if we see a gap between dates, we say: ok, it’s good that they have a break to rest! 🙂 And only then will we find out in reality that the “break” was not a break at all. That the guys had to fly out to perform at an event in Rome, participate in a TV shoot, interview with journalists… so they ended up with only three hours of sleep. Great admiration for them, that even then they can give such an amazing performance at the concert! But still, I believe that out of their own instinct of self-preservation, they sometimes treat themselves to a real rest break. 🙂
Don’t know what happened, but my comment didn’t go through. Too bad, because I can’t remember what I wrote!
Dol.
I checked in the spam folder for this blog site and I didn’t see your comment. What I do sometimes when I want to make a long comment is open WordPad or a Word document and type it there. When I’m done I copy and paste it into where ever I want it to go. Then I either save the document or wait until I make sure my comment has gone through before I get rid if it. On a phone you could type it into some kind of notes app (I have Notes on my iPhone) and then copy it from there.
Just commented how great the write-up was and that I had an aisle seat in the seventh row in Toronto. Igna sat on the knee of the woman directly behind me, while singing. What a powerful voice and such a treat to see him up close!
Also, I said it would be very crowded in the First Row, if everyone bought tickets for that row, only!!! 😄😄 Dol.
