Before heading to Spain, I’d like to share this video with you—posted by Il Volo after their concert in Syracuse to thank their fans. Beautiful images!!
…….and also the wonderful birthday wishes given to Ercole on the evening of his birthday!!
And here we are on Spanish soil—specifically, in BARCELONA.
July 15 BARCELONA
The concert took place in the beautiful gardens of the Pedralbes Palace.
As you know, when the country hosting the concert changes, the setlist changes too; consequently, some songs will differ out of respect for audiences of different nationalities.

Les Nits posted these photos with these beautiful words:
“Three extraordinary voices that moved us and filled Les Nits Occidente with music, elegance, and unforgettable moments. 💙”
Photographer Enric Minguillon was at the concert and posted this photo with the following comment:
“Il Volo captivates the audience in Barcelona at the Les Nits Occident festival with their golden voices and an orchestra of master musicians producing a wonderful sound.”
Return to Italy!
July 17 CERNOBBIO, Lake Como (Northern Italy)
The concert took place in the former riding arena of the beautiful Villa Erba for the Lake Sound Park event.
Lake Sound Park shared the following words, along with videos and photos:
“Tonight, we get ready to welcome the three most beloved Italian voices on the international operatic pop scene: Il Volo 🎙️✨
There are evenings that possess a unique energy from the very first moment, and this is one of them. 🌅
From here on out, conversation blends with music, the sun gives way to stage lights, and summer takes the form of an evening meant for singing along and making memories ✨🎶”
As you’ve heard, a wide variety of songs were performed at the last two concerts. Admittedly, the schedule is grueling—a show every other day, a varied setlist, and stifling heat—making it a real *tour de force*. Yet, I believe these efforts are amply rewarded by the love every fan pours out during the shows—a palpable love that the guys surely appreciate.
Meo Arena posted these beautiful photos with this dedication.
Gianluca, Ignazio, and Piero (@ilvolomusic) closed out the weekend on a high note. A memorable evening at the MEO Arena, and with the promise of a return in the future!🎶
December 16th ATHENS

BG Sound Stage, which organized the Athens concert, posted this:
Dear friends,
We’re happy to share with you some special moments from Il Volo’s excellent concert yesterday, December 16, at the Teatro di Natale.
They managed to create a special, magical atmosphere in a literally sold-out venue and show their love to their Greek fans! 🥰 We hope to see you all again soon!
We wish you Happy Holidays! 🎄🌟🎄✨
This video of thanks to Athens published by Il Volo is also very beautiful.
IGNAZIO= All three of us are a fundamental part, so if one isn’t here, there’s no one!
GIANLUCA= The promise we’ve always made to each other is to know how to listen to each other, which is actually the most important thing. After all these years, it’s almost rare for groups to have such a long lifespan in music, but perhaps the secret is putting egos aside and knowing how to listen to others, understanding that unity truly is strength.
December 18th The last concert of the European tour: VALENCIA
The concert was at the Roig Arena.
HALLELUJAH
IL MONDO
CAPOLAVORO
The moment of the child’s performance from the audience!! 🥰
This concludes all the concerts on the European tour. Congratulations to the entire Il Volo staff for their professionalism and to Piero, Ignazio and Gianluca for their great effort in bringing music, passion, and love to all of Europe.
The fans adore you and look forward to seeing you again for the next concerts.
The next performance we’ll soon see them in is
CHRISTMAS ENCHANTMENT
their concert, recorded in Bulgaria and broadcast on Christmas Eve on Canale 5, which I’ll definitely feature in a post.
Meanwhile, from me, Pat, and the entire Flight Crew staff, I extend my warmest wishes for a
MERRY CHRISTMAS
may it bring much joy, love, and peace to the world!
Il Volo triumphs in Zurich: a memorable concert at the Hallenstadion and the announcement of their new 2026-2027 world tour.
The Hallenstadion provided the backdrop for an intense evening where the audience attentively followed a musical journey through opera, pop, and Italian and international songs, presented with elegance and stylistic coherence.
One of the evening’s highlights was the announcement of their new world tour, announced directly from the stage. Il Volo will return to Zurich on October 24, 2027, at 8:00 PM, again at the Hallenstadion, for a new date included in their 2027 tour. Tickets are not yet available, but Tuttoitalia, as official media partner, will provide timely updates on the opening of pre-sales.
The official photos of the performance, taken by our photographer Luca Greco, are available here in a dedicated gallery that documents the evening’s atmosphere in detail:
From their television origins to the international scene
The story of Il Volo began in 2009 during the program “Ti lascio una canzone,” where the three young artists stood out for their vocal quality and were subsequently professionally supported by manager Michele Torpedine. Their debut album, “Il Volo,” was well received in the United States and entered the Billboard Top Ten, launching a career studded with global tours, prestigious collaborations with artists such as Barbra Streisand and Placido Domingo, a triumph at the Sanremo Music Festival, and international recognition such as the Marcel Besançon Award at the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest.
An ever-evolving musical identity
Over the years, the trio has developed an artistic vision that blends Italian opera tradition with elements of contemporary pop. From projects dedicated to the Three Tenors to tributes to Ennio Morricone, to more recent productions such as Ad Astra International Edition and the single “Tra le onde,” Il Volo continues to evolve without straying from its distinctive style.
The new world tour and the return to Zurich
Yesterday’s concert offered a preview of the atmosphere and artistic direction of the announced tour. The date of October 24, 2027 in Zurich will be the next official date with the Swiss public and is part of a particularly extensive tour spanning Europe, the United States, and Latin America.
At the Zurich concert there was also a very special fan, little Gabriele with his mother Michelle, who came to see his father Ignazio for the first time.❤️💙
In this video during rehearsals, Gabriele is in Ignazio’s arms and with his uncles Piero who compliments him and Gianluca who records everything on video!! 😍😍😍
How sweet, but you will feel even more tender seeing these beautiful photos of Gabriele, mom and dad. 💙❤️❤️
Congratulations to Ignazio and Michelle for this beautiful “masterpiece,” and congratulations to Il Volo for this wonderful tour that’s stopping in many European cities.
December 14 Lisbon
The concert was held at the Meo Arena.
But the next concert is in Portugal, so from Spain to Switzerland and then back through Portugal, then Greece and back to Spain. How do they do it???? In fact, they themselves posted a photo showing them flying on a small private plane.
In the meantime, 15 outdoor concerts have been announced in Italy this summer and my Brescia has also been confirmed and of course I already have the ticket, second row!!
More European concert dates have been announced for 2027……wow guys, what a tour de force you’re in for!!
Another piece of news is that on December 13th here in Italy on Canale 5 the first concert of Mantua 2025 was re-broadcast and for the next two Saturdays we will see the second and third TUTTI PER UNO concerts held in Mantua this year, so a good television binge of Il Volo!!
But the beauty is that wherever you go, you’re eagerly awaited and cheered, and this fills all of us who’ve always followed you with pride, as well as the new fans just getting to know you.
Full steam ahead!!
See you soon for the final three concerts and best wishes for Christmas!
The organizers of MARENOSTRUM have published several short videos with these beautiful comments:
“Under the stars, music takes on another dimension. And with Il Volo it becomes something eternal.
The elegance of music in its purest form. Il Volo, live from Marenostrum Fuengirola, with an incredible repertoire in a night to be transported.
Fuengirola sounds different tonight. The starry sky, the illuminated castle… And three voices that are filling every corner with beauty.
Il Volo is not singing. It is touching the soul of everyone present.
The air is cut with emotion. No one bats an eyelid. No one wants it to end. Il Volo is making magic live.
The sound of thousands of hearts beating to the same rhythm. It’s Il Volo live. It’s time. It’s unique.
One night. Three voices. A thousand emotions. This is how Il Volo sounded on the Unicaja stage of Marenostrum Fuengirola.
A concert that touched the soul and left a mark in every corner of the castle.
Final concert and standing audience. Applause that never ends, emotion that doesn’t enter the chest. This was not a concert. It was a gift. THANK YOU ❤️”
Since the day after the concert is Piero’s birthday, people took the opportunity to wish him a happy birthday and give him lots of presents.🎉🎂🎊❤️ TANTI AUGURI PIERO!! 😍
How difficult it can be to present a song when so many people want to express their sincere affection.
I think Piero was touched by so much love.❤️😂
PIERO= The song we just sang and the next one we will sing were written by an Italian composer (a woman hands Piero a rose) …. “Hello, madam, thank you very much, thank you…..it’s Christmas today! (because a line of women has started to hand out flowers and gifts)….thank you madam”.
WOMAN= It’s your birthday!
PIERO= Ah, tomorrow is my birthday and so…. (applause)….that’s why all these gifts. (in the meantime Gianluca and Ignazio also help to get the gifts). Thank you, but you should know that tomorrow is my birthday but in a few days Ignazio will become a father (applause – Ignazio makes a sign to Piero as if to say that it is not in a few days), but yes, a few days, a month, two months, whatever… months are like days, there are a few left…… (Piero tries to resume the presentation of the song)… so we were saying that the next melody we will sing was written by a composer…. (Gianluca interrupts starting the Happy XMas song, laughter.)
What direction is this evening taking?
IGNAZIO= (In the meantime Ignazio also receives some gifts, a onesie for little Gabriele) This is for the gym (laughter).
PIERO= (still tries to resume the presentation of the song, but the gifts continue to arrive) Ok, the melody……thank you ma’am….
IGNAZIO= Surely there is a flower shop outside! Thank you. (laughter)
PIERO= (tries to resume the presentation) OK, the melody…this is the last time I repeat it (laughter), the melody that we sang and the next one was also written by the Italian composer Ennio Morricone (applause)…..thank you ma’am….Ennio Morricone. Ladies and gentlemen, the next song is called “Nuovo Cinema Paradiso” (SE).
Il Volo also answered questions in an interview.
For those who want to see the whole concert, here is the video.
BG Sound, who organized the concert, wrote these words and published these beautiful photos.
“Emotion. Tears. Laughing out loud. Messages from the soul sent in 3 voices: Piero, Ignazio and Gianluca!
Il Volo made the Palace Hall ring on a summer evening. Il Volo got the audience on their feet, not just the encore. 2 hours of music that transcends time, and takes emotion to another level!
👏 We thank the audience in Bucharest for the sensational evening!”
I would say two more concerts that were successful.
I can say that the atmosphere in Bucharest was really strange, even our guys were very relaxed, almost like a performance among friends, maybe the very informal attitude of the people and I must also say the great heat, influenced a performance with a less perfect tone but very familiar.
But as always there is no time to rest, immediately back to Italy with a stop in Turin for an evening in the square, but we’ll talk about it in the next post!!
Daniela🤗
And finally, here is a prayer composed by our dear friend, Sheila Kilpatrick, for our beloved guys of IL VOLO and fans.
LORD,
In this world, there is a Masterpiece (Capolavoro) Among the waves (Tra le ondé).
Bless the trio of men who show Great Love (Grande Amore) to The World (Il Mondo).
They take Flight (Il Volo), and are so out of sight (Lontano dogli occhi) .
They are very close (Vicinissimo ) to you Again (Ancora).
We ask your love (Your Love) and Call Me Again Love (Chiamami Ancora Amore).
Shower all your blessings on their beloved, if not somewhat crazy fans!
HALLELUJAH
Sheila noted that “Hallelujah” is one of her many favorite songs and was written by a fellow Canadian, Leonard Cohen.
After the break of the Mantua concerts, here we are at the beginning of the summer concerts of the World Tour.
There were also some personal events in our guys’ families, but we’ll talk about that at the end of the post.
JUNE 18
The first of these summer concerts is on the beautiful island of Palma De Mallorca in Spain, at the Estadi Son Moix.
This is the first time that Il Volo has performed in Mallorca, they had already performed there at the beginning of their career but not in a full concert.
As always, I propose to you some short videos.
Surely you will notice a change in Ignazio’s appearance, first of all he seems to have lost weight, he has cut his goatee and also his hair, tell me your opinion, I’ll tell you right away that I’m not satisfied with the haircut. 🤔
Il Volo thrills 3,000 people at Son Moix with their pop lyrics
The Italian trio’s performance on Wednesday was the second event in the ‘Mallorca Concert Series’ organised by Grup Trui.
An unforgettable evening for lovers of Italian music and the great voices of lyrical pop. This was the event held this Wednesday at the Estadi Son Moix in Palma, the traditional stronghold of Real Mallorca, which was transformed into a stage of elegance and emotion with the presence of Il Volo, the acclaimed vocal trio made up of Piero Barone, Ignazio Boschetto and Gianluca Ginoble. This recital marked the second performance of the Mallorca Concert Series, organised by Grup Trui, and brought together around 3,000 people in a unique atmosphere.
From the first moment, Il Volo won over the audience with their innate charisma and impeccable stage presence. With absolute domination of the stage and an evident chemistry between them, the trio offered a performance that combined the sobriety of bel canto with the familiarity of pop, a formula that has become their unmistakable signature. The complicity between the three artists was palpable both during the performances and in the breaks between songs, where they joked with each other and with the audience, adding a touch of humor and warmth to a special evening.
During the concert, some of their most famous hits were performed, sparking applause from the audience. Songs that have crossed national borders, conquering a privileged place on the international music scene, were intertwined with classical arrangements and emotional versions. The vocal quality of Il Volo, already recognized worldwide since their debut, shone once again.
The Estadi Son Moix, accustomed to the goals and adrenaline of football, this time vibrated with a different emotion, one that only live music can generate, combined with the beauty of well-tuned voices and respect for the repertoire performed by the group.
This concert reaffirmed the popularity of Il Volo and the consolidation of the Mallorca Concert Series as a high-level cultural event on the island. With a varied program and internationally renowned artists, this series turns the Mallorca stadium into a meeting point for those seeking unforgettable musical experiences. It kicked off at the beginning of the month with Joaquín Sabina, who was sold out, and will continue on Saturday 28th with the Mallorcan artist Rels B (the most listened to Spanish artist on Spotify in 2024). Finally, on July 5th, the successful singer Manuel Carrasco will close the series.
JUNE 20
The concert will always be in Spain but in Merida, a city rich in ancient Roman monuments. The place where Il Volo will hold the concert is beautiful.
The concert is part of the STONE & MUSIC FESTIVAL which is the most important musical event in the southwest of Spain. An event that combines music with archaeological heritage.
