UNO PER TUTTI: FIRST CONCERT by Daniela

On October 14th, the first “UNO PER TUTTI” concert, recorded in Mantua on September 26th, was broadcast on Canale 5.
I only attended the final concert on September 29th. Since then, many videos from both concerts have been circulating online; I chose not to watch them so as not to spoil the surprise, so for me, too, it’s as if I’m seeing them for the first time.
I’ve included two links to the full concert below. The first was recorded by my friend Carmen from “Il Volo En Clase”; it isn’t accessible from within Italy, but it can be viewed from abroad.
The second is a link from Canale 5; generally, it cannot be accessed outside of Italy, though it may be available in some other countries, depending on the viewing method.
This is the best I can do, I truly hope you’ll all be able to watch the concert. 🥰
Let’s share our thoughts once you’ve had a chance to see it!

What can I say, a truly wonderful concert, with stunning stage design and top-tier vocals for songs that are pure poetry. There were welcome Italian guests, and the whole event was marked by beauty, elegance, and great talent, in short, a well-conceived and well-organized production.
It all begins with a performance of the “Toreador” aria from Bizet’s *Carmen*, and I really loved seeing our guys backstage shaking hands, a ritual they perform before every concert.
Piero immediately explains that he has decided to also serve as the host for the first evening. Ignazio expresses some reservations.
The guys’ set begins with “IL MONDO”, a timeless song you could listen to thousands of times over.
In the audience is Amadeus, a well-known and talented Italian presenter, who is invited onto the stage to teach Piero the secrets of hosting a television show. Throughout the evening, there are several amusing bits centered on the art of hosting, and I must say, Piero did a great job keeping up with Amadeus! 😉😁
The first guest of the evening is Elisa, a highly talented Italian singer-songwriter with a beautiful voice. This is followed by a series of duets with our guys, featuring wonderful songs written by Elisa.
Next, there is a series of wonderful duets by our guys, featuring some truly magnificent songs.
VENT’ANNI, released in 1970 and made a hit by Massimo Ranieri!! THE IMPOSSIBLE DREAM, from 1971, made a hit by Elvis Presley. STELLA DI MARE, from 1979, made a hit by Lucio Dalla.
Next up is the inevitable, and always welcome, “O SOLE MIO.”
The evening’s second guest is arriving: Mahmood, an Italian singer who unexpectedly took first place at the 2019 Sanremo Music Festival, the same year Il Volo presented “MUSICA CHE RESTA ,” a song that faced significant boycotting.
Together, they sing the beautiful “CARUSO,” followed by a duet between Mahmood and Ignazio on “RAPIDE”, a song written by Mahmood, where, thanks to the parts sung by Ignazio, I can finally make out the lyrics!
Another welcome guest is the talented Fiorella Mannoia; she has sung with Il Volo on several occasions. Though she is 72 years old, she remains a truly gifted performer.
Together with Gianluca, she sings the beautiful “AMORE CHE VIENI AMORE CHE VAI” by Fabrizio De André.
And this time, we continue with the timeless “MY WAY” sung by Il Volo.
Another guest, whom you may have already seen in other concerts with our guys, is Riccardo Cocciante.
Together with Piero, he sings the beautiful “A MANO A MANO” by Rino Gaetano.
This is followed by a lovely song written by Cocciante himself, “MARGHERITA,” performed with great passion alongside Gianluca.
A fun little skit, with Amadeus having our guys perform short, varied snippets of songs over a beat provided by the audience!!
The evening continues with Il Volo singing their big hit, “GRANDE AMORE.”
Next, a choir of young children takes the stage, they’re from the town of Chiari, in the province of Brescia, not far from where I live! Together with Piero, they perform the lovely “BUONGIORNO A TE ,” famously sung by Pavarotti, a song that always brings so much joy!
Next came a touching moment in the evening: the beautiful “HALLELUJAH,” sung with great passion by our guys.
I recall that the funeral of his grandfather, Ernesto, took place on the morning of September 26th, and that same evening, the first concert in Mantua was held; Gianluca, showing true professionalism, made sure to be there. 🙏❤️
Following the song, there was a long, standing ovation, and it was truly moving to see our three guys take a moment for quiet reflection.
Gianluca’s words:
“Guys, just a quick thing, may I dedicate this song to my grandfather, Ernesto? I’d like to take this moment so that this applause might reach him.”
This was followed by an affectionate embrace with Piero and Ignazio.
As you can see in the video, a small note, handed over by Piero, was passed to Gianluca. I was told that the message on that note was actually read aloud during the evening, though, unfortunately, that part was cut from the footage.
Another guest is arriving: Italian singer-songwriter Alex Britti. In his first performance, he plays the guitar and joins Piero for a beautiful duet of “BRUCIA LA TERRA”, sung in Sicilian, the lovely song featured in the film *The Godfather*.
This is followed by an Alex Britti song, “OGGI SONO IO,” also performed as a duet with Piero.
There’s a solo; Ignazio sings the beautiful song by Celentano and Mina, “L’EMOZIONE NON HA VOCE.”
At one point, the lyrics to this song say:
“You will sleep peacefully in my arms, it’s important for us to truly be ourselves, and you will give me another life, one I don’t yet know; you will be my partner for as long as you wish.”
Who knows if these words were a premonition of something, because, according to the gossip circulating, it seems Michelle is expecting another baby!!! 😍
Amadeus jokes that the guys are relaxed backstage, and the most relaxed of all is Ignazio, who is busy eating bread, calm.
He then recounts that when he was the director and host of Sanremo in 2024, Il Volo played three songs for him, and without hesitation, he chose the beautiful “CAPOLAVORO.”
Next is a tribute to Gino Paoli, a brilliant Italian singer-songwriter who recently passed away and was truly a poet of music, Gianluca  featuring a passionate rendition of the mix of his  songs “UNA LUNGA STORIA D’AMORE – CHE COSA C’E’ – IL CIELO IN UNA STANZA  “ .
Let’s return briefly to opera: now Il Volo performs the powerful aria “DI QUELLA PIRA” from Giuseppe Verdi’s *Il Trovatore*.
Amadeus’s introduction—delivered in a rap style—was a nice touch as he presented the piece by “Joseph Green” [Giuseppe Verdi]. 😁😁😁
Next up is a lovely presentation of a song by Pino Daniele, “ALLERIA,” performed by Ignazio together with the talented Roberto Colella.
A solo by Gianluca, the beautiful “IO CHE AMO SOLO TE” by Sergio Endrigo.
Il Volo reunites to perform the stunning “NELLE TUE MANI,” taken from *Gladiator*.
We’re nearing the end, but there’s still time for a beautiful Neapolitan song: TORNA A SURRIENTO.
After the song, Amadeus says goodbye and expresses his thanks, offering high praise and hugs.
The final song, taken from their latest CD, the beautiful AD ASTRA.
The concert was watched by a great many people, and I’ve read countless enthusiastic comments; the only drawback was that the broadcast didn’t begin until nearly 10:00 PM.
I really appreciated the selection of songs, true poems that have, unfortunately, been all but forgotten amidst today’s trends, and I believe that this revival, performed by the voices of Ignazio, Gianluca, and Piero, is a real tonic for the Italian music scene of today.
Everything was beautifully put together and polished, the set design, the orchestra, the choir, and the three of them were magnificent.
In the early afternoon of October 14th, our guys were interviewed by the Canale 5 news program.
Here is the video.
W = Joining us are Il Volo, who were just discussing some football news.
Gianluca = As a Roma fan, let’s see what happens tonight.
W = Il Volo. Il Volo returns to Canale 5 tonight with *Uno per tutti*—three new event specials filmed at Palazzo Te in Mantua. But there’s something new—a great new development: you’ll also be serving as hosts. I believe Piero is the one starting things off?
PIERO = Yes, we’ve changed the format a bit this year; it’s three evenings on Canale 5, and each of us will take a turn as the host.
IGNAZIO = This is the first step toward eventually anchoring the TG5 news broadcast.
PIERO = Exactly, anchoring the news! (laughs)
W = And you’ll be joined by…
PIERO = Tonight, I’ll be joined by Amadeus; I have to say, it went really well.
W = Perfect. And each of you will host one of the upcoming evenings. You also have plenty of guests, right?
GIANLUCA = Yes, there will be many guests, Elisa, Riccardo Cocciante, Mahmood, Alex Britti, Fiorella Mannoia, and so many other friends coming to visit us. Plus, we’ll be performing songs from our repertoire, though it’s a fresh selection, as we’re adding new tracks. It’s an entirely new program, and it’s wonderful to bring a bit of lightness through music, especially these days when it’s so needed.
W= And it won’t just be individual performances, if I understand correctly, is that right?
IGNAZIO = Naturally, we’ll be performing our classics, songs that simply have to be included, like “Grande Amore,” “Il Mondo,” and “Capolavoro.”
We’ll have duets among ourselves, as well as songs that we’ll sing solo. The program was designed to fully express our three distinct personalities and to offer a broader, more dynamic show.
W = There will also be an intersection of different musical worlds, is that an important aspect for you as well?
PIERO = That’s, in a sense, our challenge, and it’s also the power of music: bringing together two worlds that might seem difficult to combine, like for instance, imagining a rock artist performing a duet with us. But that is the power of music, and it’s exactly what we strive to do on stage.
W = Quite an interesting challenge.
PIERO = We’d also like to thank all the guests who came to this event.
W = And what are you preparing for Christmas?
GIANLUCA = A new album featuring Christmas songs is coming out, including our own version of Wham!’s “Last Christmas”, and, of course, all the great Christmas classics will be there too. We’re also working on a concert tour that will visit arenas across Italy, Rome, Turin, Bologna, Milan, and Florence, so we can’t wait to meet all our fans and the audience.
PIERO = You’re officially invited.
GIANLUCA = Naturally.
W = Thanks, everyone? The whole *TG5* team?
PIERO = Of course.
W = Perfect, I’ll pass on the good news to everyone. When does the tour begin?
GIANLUCA = It starts on…
PIERO = December 7th…
GIANLUCA = December 7th at the Forum in Assago (Milan). Other dates will follow, but before that, in November, we’ll be heading back to the United States for a couple of weeks for our tour there.
W = Sounds great. Thanks for being our guests, and best of luck with these three evenings.
GIANLUCA = Bye, everyone!
PIERO = See you tonight on Canale 5.
IGNAZIO = (waves)
This, on the other hand, is the post from CheDonna.it, which I am translating for you.

❤️ IL VOLO ENCHANTS CANALE 5: THREE EXTRAORDINARY VOICES THAT MAKE ITALY PROUD!

Elegance, talent, passion, and three voices capable of moving the audience from the very first notes. Il Volo returns to the spotlight on Canale 5 with *Uno per tutti*, treating viewers to moments of magnificent music and proving once again why they are one of Italy’s most highly regarded groups.
Piero Barone, Ignazio Boschetto, and Gianluca Ginoble are a prime example of how talent, dedication, and sacrifice can lead to an extraordinary career. Three distinct personalities, three recognizable vocal timbres, and an artistic rapport that has, over the years, become their greatest strength.
What is striking about the trio is not only their ability to perform demanding musical pieces, but also their deep respect for the Italian musical tradition, a tradition they have helped to promote and share far beyond Italy’s borders.
And finally, these videos featuring comments from various guests, recorded on the evening of the concert, includes a translation provided by the Il Volo American Fan Group. We Are Love.
