A MAGICAL NIGHT OF IL VOLO IN BUENOS AIRES

The Italians paid tribute and called for peace during a show on their Latin American tour, which will now take them to Chile and Peru.
A magical evening was enjoyed by the Italian trio Il Volo, whose Tuesday evening recital at the Movistar Arena in Buenos Aires celebrated its members’ nearly 17-year career with jokes, tributes, and a call to action for peace.
As part of their “Live in Concert” world tour, which also includes stops in Chile and Peru, after their stop in Brazil, Piero Barone, Ignazio Boschetto, and Gianluca Ginoble delighted Argentine audiences with their unmistakable musical style, blending operatic technique with the freshness of contemporary pop in a varied and trilingual repertoire (Italian, Spanish, and English).
“Good evening, it’s a great pleasure to be here in Argentina; we’re finally here.
“We want to thank you because this year we’re celebrating almost 17 years together, and this can only be done thanks to your love and support,” Piero said in his first conversation with the packed audience, after opening the show with “Il Gladiatore,” “Grande Amore,” and “Opera.”
“You’ve seen us grow. The first time we sang here in Buenos Aires was in 2012, at the Lawn Tennis Club, then at the Gran Rex and Luna Park, and now it’s a joy to fill an arena with all of you after so many years of career,” added Gianluca.
“Your measurements are the same as always,” joked Ignazio, as if to show off his few centimeters larger than his teammates.
“It’s a pleasure to return to Buenos Aires. Our goal is to bring our Italian culture,” he emphasized.
After performing the famous “Granada,” Il Volo launched into another hit, “Who Wants to Life Forever,” a cover of the British band Queen included on the soundtrack to the film “Highlander.”
A series of solos followed, with Boschetto performing “Memory,” a song the trio performed in 2012 with Barbra Streisand, before giving way to Ginoble for “The Music of the Night” and Piero for “E Lucevan Le Stelle.”
The evening featured tributes to greats such as Ennio Morricone, who performed “The Ecstasy of Gold,” composed for the film “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly,” and the classic “Novo Cinema Paradiso,” featured in the repertoire of Giuseppe Tornatore’s Oscar-winning film for Best Foreign Language Film. Luciano Pavarotti was also honored.
Boschetto was the friendliest of the group (he cracked jokes and even imitated world soccer star Leo Messi with his “You look like a fool… go there!” and also recalled his time at the Sanremo Music Festival), but not the most thoughtful, as he prayed for those who are no longer with us, for peace, and reminded everyone that there are so many people who suffer, including those who experience war.
The members of Il Volo were very friendly and welcoming, and they also appreciated their fans, with whom they shared their good vibes, always expressing their gratitude for their support and for everything they were going through.
The show included a set dedicated to Latin music, such as “El Reloj” by Mexican Roberto Cantoral, made famous by greats such as Lucho Gatica, Armando Manzanero, and Luis Miguel, among many others, and “Historia de un amor,” another romantic classic composed by Panamanian Carlos Eleta Almarán.
The repertoire included Zucchero’s “Miserere,” Frank Sinatra’s classic “My Way,” and “Hallelujah.” These were then joined by “La Donna e Mobile,” the tenor’s famous aria from Giuseppe Verdi’s opera “Rigoletto,” and “Funiculíi Funiculá.” In just over two hours and accompanied by a solid orchestra, Il Volo closed the evening with a flourish with a performance of “O sole mio,” “Nessun Dorma,” and “Grande Amore,” eliciting a standing ovation from the audience, enthralled by their vocal virtuosity.
Il Volo bid farewell to Buenos Aires, where they announced their return in March 2026 with an unforgettable evening as part of their tour, which continues this Thursday in Chile and continues in Peru on the 18th, before returning to Europe, where they will perform in several cities.
And again, beautiful words published by the ENTRE NOTAS Y ACORDES agency which deals with music and was present at the concert.
“With their unmistakable blend of opera and pop, the Italian trio once again captivated their Buenos Aires audience with another unforgettable night at the Movistar Arena. Il Volo took the stage with that elegance that seems to defy time. Piero, Ignazio, and Gianluca opened with powerful songs, a supportive orchestra, and an expectant audience, which transformed from a murmur to a choral explosion. There were moments of intimacy—when the Italian songs floated over dimly lit silhouettes—and others of grandiloquence, with crescendos that raised goosebumps even among those who had expected mere entertainment. In the end, it wasn’t just an ovation, it was a sonorous gratitude: a shared song, radiant faces, and the feeling that what unites them—that promise of vocal beauty—had been fulfilled once again. Il Volo didn’t just sing: they made art beat. “
And Movistar Arena Argentina posted this:
“@ilvolomusic gave us a magical night
Three voices that thrilled every corner of the Arena
🥹 🎤
Thank you for bringing your art to our home
🫶🏻 See you next year 😉”
These three photos of Piero, Gianluca and Ignazio are truly beautiful!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
A very warm and affectionate welcome and great success in Venezuela, but we’re off to Chile right away.

This is a funny video where Gianluca has to start singing Aranjuez and doesn’t have a microphone!! 🤣😂

This was the last concert.
A special thank you from Il Volo to all their fans for the warm affection they once again showed by filling the arenas.
Il Volo has published these words and these beautiful summary images of this Latam tour!!
“Thank you, Latin America. ❤️
Every city, every face, every hug. Emotions we will carry with us forever.
An unforgettable tour.
And this isn’t the end. See you in 2026 with more shows!”
While in Brazil, Piero Ignazio and Gianluca were interviewed by RADIO RITMO ROMANTICA, a radio station broadcasting in Peru.
It was a pleasant interview, and I hope you can turn on the subtitles (I had a hard time). If not, please let me know and I’ll publish the full translation in my next post.

And so this Latam tour has come to an end. They’ve been incredible days, filled with love and numerous sold-out shows, almost every one of them!!
The affection these three guys manage to inspire with their fans, but also with people meeting them for the first time, is incredible.
An artist can be great, but charisma isn’t for everyone, and our guys are very charismatic, friendly, sincere, and down-to-earth… UNIQUE!
See you soon: Daniel🤗

CHILE MUSICA TOUR 41 by Daniela

Last stop on the Musica Tour / Latin tour, CHILE.

Since there have been riots and popular demonstrations in Chile, there is concern about the concert, but the boys immediately reassured the fans about their presence at the concert.

In an interview, a journalist asked Piero why they decided to keep the concert in Chile, despite the climate of popular unrest. The boys responded:

“It would have been easy to decide. We don’t go to Chile, we go back to Italy and finish the tour. But the reason we wanted to go, all three together, is because we don’t want to leave our fans alone.”

GRAN ARENA MONTICELLO  1 November

A mix of songs.

“HISTORIA DE UN AMOR”

“SOMOS NOVIOS / BRIDGE OVER TROUBLE WATER”

“LA NAVE DE L’ OLVIDO”

“VOLARE”

“MY WAY”

Read how nice this comment made by a Chilean guy who went to the concert. Thanks for your words.

“There is nothing better than listening to the music you love, the one that inspires you, feeds your soul and makes you happy. What you listen to over and over again and it is never synonymous with monotony, that’s why you need voices that are the perfect complement. Today I had the opportunity to meet and share with ideals of my generation, Gianluca Ginoble, Piero Barone and Ignazio Boschetto, representatives of lyric pop, already in their 10 years of artistic career, that I followed completely since 2009 when Gianluca won the show Ti lascio una canzone (“I leave you a song”). For me today is an unforgettable day and I feel full of gratitude for this great moment that is part of my dreams that become reality. For you, Gianluca, Piero and Ignazio, the greatest success of all time.”

Some photos of the evening.

During another interview, to the question of what they will do in 2020, the boys said this:

“In November there will be a special album to follow the celebration of the ten-year career. In 2020 we will continue with the second part of the tour of the United States and some other countries that we cannot yet reveal. Therefore, we have a very busy year.”

The nice words of thanks of the boys:

Piero:

This first part of the world tour ends. South America has given us so much and all this energy received gives us strength and reminds us every day that we are on the right path, our road. Now we have all the charge and adrenaline for the next projects: the promotion of the new album “The Best of 10 Years”

Ignazio:

And this tour is over too! Now we return to Italy for the “The Best of 10 Years” release. Thanks to all the Latin America for the affection and love that it has transmitted to us this month! ❤️

Gianluca:

Gracias a todos! My life is a dream!!! It’s been an amazing tour! See you in February in the US! 😘

Guys, the Latin Tour was a great and deserved success.

But now it’s time to go home. Italy is waiting for you, a little rest and then off,  immediately in promotion for the new CD.

Hasta la vista!!

Notte Magica – Adios South America! Santiago, Chile – September 30, 2017

To quote the song, “My Way…”  “And now…. the end is near… and so we face, the final curtain….”  I’m sure the guys are feeling this right now – maybe even a little bit of bittersweet, perhaps?  Just a few more concerts in Kiev and Japan and a few more special appearances in Australia and the cruise ship, and it’s over.  I can only imagine what they are thinking.  We all know they are excitedly starting to work on their new project with Emilio, quickly leaving Notte Magica behind – at least for a little while.

Daniela found the following pictures for me and there were a few short videos, but somehow they cut off in the middle of them.  I’m sure they are out there, but I did not find too many videos from Chile, but it’s about all the same from the last concerts…

So, enjoy the pictures and meet/greet photos!

I may even have to come up with a new sign/logo after this tour is over!!  Hmmm…???  🙂

Hi Everyone,

The concert Sunday at the Coliceo in San Juan was spectacular. Il Volo was at their best and the audience was on fire!

The concert tonight is in Santiago, Chile.

Santiago (Spanish pronunciation: [san̪ˈtja.ɣo]), also Santiago de Chile [san̪ˈtja.ɣo ðe ˈtʃi.le] ( listen), is the capital of Chile and the center of its largest conurbation. It is located in the country’s central valley, at an elevation of 520 m (1,706.04 ft) above mean sea level.

Founded in 1541, Santiago has been the capital city since colonial times. The city has a downtown core of 19th century neoclassical architecture and winding side-streets, dotted by art deco, neo-gothic, and other styles. Santiago’s cityscape is shaped by several stand-alone hills and the fast-flowing Mapocho River, lined by parks such as Parque Forestal. Mountains of the Andes chain can be seen from most points in the city. These mountains contribute to a considerable smog problem, particularly during winter. The city outskirts are surrounded by vineyards, and Santiago is within a few hours of both the mountains and the Pacific Ocean.

Santiago’s steady economic growth over the past few decades has transformed it into a modern metropolis. The city is now home to growing theater and restaurant scenes, extensive suburban development, dozens of shopping centers, and a rising skyline, including the tallest building in Latin America, the Gran Torre Santiago. It includes several major universities, and has developed a modern transportation infrastructure, including a free flow toll-based, partly underground urban freeway system and the Metro de Santiago, South America’s most extensive subway system. Santiago is the cultural, political and financial center of Chile and is home to the regional headquarters of many multinational corporations. The Chilean executive and judicial powers are located in Santiago, but Congress meets in nearby Valparaíso.

Santiago is named after the biblical figure James, son of Zebedee (Sant Iago = Saint Iacob = Saint.

Twitters, Tweets and Keeks:

Gianluca tweeted: ” Greetings from Santiago, Chile.” He later tweeted “Another airplane, another sunny place. I’m lucky I know, but I wanna go home, I miss you know.” Home sickness! Who can blame him? This has been a long tour and they still have a ways to go!!

Piero tweeted: “Santiago de Chile :)” He tweeted later, #limousine #Hummer #redglasses #fun #tour #concert.”

Ignazio tweeted: Los Angeles excisten y dios me dio confirma hoy” Loosely translated ” Angels exist and God gave to me” Remember I said LOOSELY translated!!
