I had already told you that on the evening of the concert in Macerata, during the song Here’s to You where Piero, Ignazio and Gianluca perform as they get off the stage and go among the people, a nice meeting had happened.
In fact, in the audience there was Monica Carducci with her husband and their two sons Mattia and Giorgio.
For those who don’t remember and for new members, I remember that the first meeting between Mattia and Il Volo took place during the concert in Tagliacozzo, a town in Abruzzo, in 2022 of which I will attach some photos and a video that you will immediately recognize. 😍🥰❤️
So far the events of two years ago, exactly July 2022.
But then it happens that Il Volo will do two concerts in Macerata in 2024 and so Monica and her husband decide to go to the concert with Mattia and Giorgio.
They sit in the audience and at the moment of the song HERE’S TO YOU, when Ignazio, Gianluca and Piero come down from the stage to sing among people, something happens.
But here are Monica’s words:
“It is not at all easy to attract so much attention and involvement from world-famous artists like ‘Il Volo’, regardless of disability. Although they are three boys with very strong sensitivity, Mattia must be recognized for his great abilities, hard-earned with an enormous passion for the music and the stage, and with determination to spare! I saw him running with all his might through the crowd to reach Piero Barone…❤️”
And that’s right, I attach this video to the moment of the meeting between Piero and Mattia. Piero, having immediately recognized the child, called Ignazio who was nearby to show him.🥰
But that’s not all, Mattia and Giorgio are taken backstage after the concert and here’s what happens from Monica’s own words.
On 22 August 2022 Mattia’s first meeting with Il Volo!…. The beginning of a beautiful fairy tale that continues this very evening in Macerata! ….Mattia and Piero meet during the concert and Piero doesn’t hesitate not even a moment in recognizing him!
At the end of the concert Mattia and Giorgio experience further beautiful emotions in the dressing rooms of three very talented, humble and infinitely sensitive guys!
Three great artists with immense humanity, who did not back down to any of Mattia’s requests: with Mattia yesterday, backstage, they sang, video-called their families (and met those present, including girlfriends!😅) and told a lot about the their private (those who know Mattia know his requests!😅)
A wonderful evening and the gift is not only for Mattia, but also for Giorgio who turned ten right at midnight!😍….And the first to wish him a Happy Birthday were the Volo guys who gave him the pass! ❤️

A true fairy tale full of love
Today I want to tell you a fairy tale which is not invented but is true. It all starts on August 22, 2022 in the splendid Piazza dell’Obelisco in Tagliacozzo, where on the last evening of the International Midsummer Festival there was Il Volo in concert. That evening there was a magical meeting between Ignazio Boschetto, Piero Barone and Gianluca Ginoble with Mattia, a boy who loves music above all else and who even went on stage that evening and sang with them. For those who were present at the concert like me that evening it was truly an emotional moment, seeing these three world-famous artists duet with Mattia who, to say he was happy, doesn’t even give an idea.
After that concert Mattia continued to sing Il Volo songs at home and asked his mother Monica, as soon as possible, to come back to see them in concert.
The occasion took place last night in the splendid setting of the Sferisterio in Macerata, Mattia went to see Il Volo with his super brother Giorgio and his parents. During live performances Piero has the habit of getting off the stage and wandering around the audience. As soon as he saw Mattia he immediately recognized him and said “Tagliacozzo!” with a big smile. At the end of the concert, mother Monica and her two children approached the dressing rooms and, wonder of wonders, the three artists welcomed them with open arms, spending unforgettable moments with them. In all this, at midnight Giorgio had his birthday and, a little disconsolately, he confided to his mother that they would certainly give him little confidence. Instead, Gianluca, Ignazio and Piero, in addition to wishing him well, gave him a pass for the next concerts.
Describing the happiness of Mattia and Giorgio is almost impossible for me, demonstrating that there are artists who do not forget that they are people, who know how to give affection, attention, joy. A lesson of great humanity, towards a family that fights every day for many situations, but that does everything to give moments of happiness to Giorgio and Mattia.
Monica is a super mother, who is always on the front line for the good of others, who faces daily battles and who, if you read her on social media, always closes her posts like this “with all the love I can”. Dear Monica, this time, in addition to your love, you have also found that of Ignazio, Gianluca and Piero, music can reach and take you far.
Mattia will definitely become an artist, but today is Giorgio’s day. Best wishes and may it be a wonderful birthday!

From Japan to Abruzzo, here we are in Tagliacozzo for the closing of the Midsummer Festival. This concert was not included, in the Il Volo program, but it was added with great pleasure.
This is the beautiful Piazza Obelisco where Il Volo will perform. It is a pity not to be present, but a friend of mine, a good photographer, Giorgio Algherini, who managed to photograph Il Volo in St. Peter’s Square during the armored exhibition of Christmas 2020 (due to Covid), he’ll be there.

Giorgio: Impressive at first glance, almost everything ready, only the final touches and … here we are! The Midsummer festival in Tagliacozzo has always, every year, its charm and its great growth thanks to the dedication of fantastic people, including Chiara Nanni councilor for culture and entertainment, the Mayor of Tagliacozzo and the artistic direction of the master Jacopo Sipari Of Pescasseroli.
Giorgio: We are almost at the start !!
Giorgio and I spoke just before the concert began and he promised me that he would contact me the next day, instead at 11:30 pm immediately after the end of the concert, I received this nice comment from him that encompasses everything.
Pure magic, unique show, wonderfully good, stratospheric, even humanly speaking.

It was my first live Il Volo concert. I have always followed them on TV from the first appearances to “TI LASCIO UNA CANZONE”, now years ago.
Now that I’ve heard them in concert, I have a very strong and positive opinion of them.
I attended the soundcheck and their voices had already amazed me, but live they are wonderful.
The concert was of absolute professionalism in all its nuances, even in terms of acoustics, lights, orchestra, the whole organization, beautiful location. The conductor, Jacopo Sipari di Pescasseroli, besides being my friend, is a great professional.
Il Volo conducted the whole concert without any flaws, without holes (he means without pauses).
The audience was absolutely ecstatic, applause and … I won’t tell you when they went down to sing in the midst of everyone, the delirium …. each of the three, went down to different sectors in the audience and created panic, absolutely brilliant to share certain moments with the fans.
The audience has always acclaimed them in each of their songs and the moments of talk between one song and another.
Difficult to choose a better song for me, all to applause !! Surely their voice has matured a lot, the result of studies, I believe, in addition to their gift that nature has reserved for them. Surely those who believed in them are to be admired, then I know that at the beginning they were followed in America for almost two years, by many professionals.
They have absolutely all three voices very clean and beautiful deep, in my opinion Ignazio seems more incisive but the choice is very difficult.
In Italy, we have many excellences but …, I hear many people who ignore Il Volo, then however, when you attend their lives you understand that there are bad, incompetent and very envious people. I do not consider myself a great connoisseur of music but … here it is not difficult to understand what is in those voices.
Of the national press, which hardly ever writes about them, more than journalists, I consider them pennivendoli. (pens, sold)
I went to the concert with two fan friends, which are the seventh concert they attended, plus a friend who is almost always in Rai and was greatly admired, even though she already knew them very well.
Piero, Ignazio and Gianluca, are absolutely of a kindness unique . Personally, I was lucky enough last night to be close to them after the concert, 3 delightful guys, playful, easy-going, never over the top, absolutely humble.
Yesterday there was the whole family of Gianluca and his grandfather, very friendly.
During the concert, there was a very beautiful thing, a very, very meaningful photo. They brought a little boy down on stage, it was a beautiful moment, very touching and also to laugh at the shrewdness of this child who sang with them, really touching.❤
