15 Year Anniversary

In days at the end of April, as you well know, there was the anniversary of the start of Il Volo’s career.
Searching on YouTube for something that documented their beginnings (I have been following them since 2015), I came across many videos with Piero, Ignazio and Gianluca who were really young, in their first interviews, what sweet treasures, they didn’t yet know how to speak English well, and it’s so nice to hear their answers, even though they were really young, their answers are mature and don’t deviate from what they say even now. It’s nice to hear their hesitation about the future and the hope that everything will go well for them. ❤️❤️❤️

What little treasures, they still struggled to understand well and respond in English, but what love!! ❤️❤️❤️

At the beginning of the next video, Ignazio, Piero and Gianluca talk about what their ideal women should be like! 🥰🥰🥰
In those years, Gianluca had a girlfriend, Jessica, who he also mentions in the video. Jessica Brando is an Italian singer, photo model, at that time they were very much in love.  😍😍

Piero, Ignazio and Gianluca have always said that they went to a school in the US. to learn the language, while they learned Spanish thanks to Humberto Gatica, who spoke Spanish with them.

In the next video, they talk about Il Volo: Tony Renis, Humberto Gatica and also Michele Torpedine.

These videos don’t need many comments, because they speak for themselves, they tell us about the beginnings of three boys who didn’t know each other. Three guys full of talent, but also of enormous values, well anchored to their roots and the education they received, guys with a head on their shoulders despite their young age.
Also full of dreams and paths that came true, but continually evolving, kids who didn’t give up at the first difficulties but made the most of them. They are Il Volo, they are Piero, Ignazio, Gianluca. ❤️❤️❤️

Il Volo, Myron's Music Notes

Hi Everyone! We have a new feature here on the blog!  Most of you know Myron, but for those that don’t, he is a voice teacher and recently took some of his students to see Il Volo perform in Chicago.  He has sometimes served as a regional judge for music competitions over the years, and has mentioned before that he loves to discuss the music.

We thought he would add a different aspect to our little home, and he will be talking about music: the boys’, performances, history, etc.  We hope everyone will find it interesting if you don’t know much about music, and will engage in discussion and share your opinions as well.  So, please enjoy his first piece!  Kelly

Review:

The guys were in fine and, may I say, well rested singing voices. We Il Volo fans have all become used to very high vocal standards, and this was no exception. Wonderful. If I were to be a little, tiny bit “picky”, I felt Piero had a really special and excellent day. Gianluca and Ignazio were superb but this song works well for Piero.

Backup:  I always wish for live orchestra – the Toinght Show does it, The Talk does not.

On this show the instrumental computer track was started a bit early as the group was just being announced. Thank goodness Gianluca (who starts the song) was on the ball and got it perfect. Having seen them live in Chicago to sing this exact song, I can tell you that the opening on the instrumental track is tricky. More proof of the high quality of musicians they are.

The entire segment ? I loved it. They were more relaxed and engaging than ever. They had fun with the ladies. My big thing about these talk shows is giving the guys more time to show their natural personality. This show has gotten better and better at doing that and today was warm and funny (Gianluca joking about Selena Gomez being his guest in Italy when she comes to take a cooking class and Ignazio joking about the eyes of one of the ladies) — one of the best Il Volo chat segments on network tv so far. I only wish Jay Leno would do that on the Tonight Show – have them over to the desk in the prior segment and chat with them and then have them sing in the next segment.

The TALK is always special because it was the very first American network show they ever did when they were 16 years old ! Back in fall of 2011.

Il Volo, In Case You Missed It

Hi Everyone,

1.)  Il Volo is performing today in Salerno at the “Valle dei Templi” as the guests of The Pooh,a popular Italian band. Hopefully we’ll be able to see some video later today.

2.)  It appears as if “The Boys” appearance on The Talk, Wednesday, 8/14 at 2pm on CBS is a go. They apparently pre-recorded it before threporter_aeroporto_megacityey left LA. Selena Gomez is also appearing.

3.)  There will be a repeat showing of Jay Leno with Il Volo as guests on 8/15.

4.)  There will also be a repeat telecast of Home and Family on the Hallmark Chanel, featuring Il Volo on 8/23 at 12pm. Try to catch it again, it was a wonderful showcase for “The Boys”.

5.)  Il Volo tweeted condolences for the death of Eydie Gorme. She was also remembered on Il Volo Mundial Facebook.

6.)  “The Boys” continue to wind down their vacations with beach days and time with their families and friends. As soon as we know, we’ll give you a date when they will return to The USA.
