After you pull yourself away from their looks.
When you can stop admiring their upbringing.
If you pause from thanking God for their being.

After the lines and the crowds

and the waiting and the anticipation.

Way after your heart has filled to capacity.

Later, when you’ve reveled in the feelings of love,

happiness

and devotion.
When you take away the endless playfulness that is Ignazio,
the gleam in Gianluca’s eyes,
the smile on the perfect lips of Piero.

After you wipe that smile off your own face.
There’s still the music.
~Marie
Thank you, Marie, for that video. As handsome and charming, and admirable, etc. as these guys are today, nothing tugs at the heartstrings like seeing them as they were then. I miss Ignazio’s apple cheeks, which go so well with that sweet smile, and Piero’s tousled hair covering the “not done yet” ears, and GG’s curly hair (why can’t he get that back?) and he looking like he’s still in elementary school. So precious….what sweet memory.
Yes, Mary, we will always hold their younger days and looks dear to us. Marie, thank you for such a great post and pictures. We have been very fortunate to have seen them at the beginning and now, the sky is the limit for our darling ‘boys’..cannot stop myself..they still seems like boys to me…but I know better..haha Love to all!!!
That was beautiful. 🙂
Dear Marie I love that video of the boys back then how adorable they were and how amazing did they sound even back then but I think they are growing up just fine they all look amazing right now it’s fun to see them grow up into the wonderful men they are now and their voices I think are getting even better. Like I always say they are just amazing.
Marie, thank you for those kind words of praise for Il Volo. You hit every
high point. I only wish I could put it in words like you do. You do
realize you’ve have a gift from God don’t you? And you are right, after
all of their precious qualities, there is stil their music. So much talent,
passion, emotion, love, and dedication is wrapped up in those three
handsome young men. From day one, I have admired the love they
have for their families that they show with their hugs, smiles and kisses
publicly. They have so much respect for their grandparents and it
shows. What an example for our young people.
I love Ignazio’s antics, even in Italian, he is funny. And the love and
admiration he shows for chidren on through seniors is outstanding.
I read last night that Sony is now planning world tours for Il Volo for
2015 which is great news. I am sure that will include the USA so
am anxious to see the locations.
Thanks for sending this message. Graciou

Where did you read about Sony planning a world tour for “Our Guys”?
I typed in Sony Records Il Volo

Michele Torpedine, a world tour and a fiction
about Il Volo in 2015
The article is rather long but is very interesting about
Il Volo’s manager Michele Torpedine. Some of the
expressions are different but you get the general idea.
The information about the tour is in the last two or
three paragraphs.
Good reading
Oops, didn’t mean to send it twice
Fixed it Gale, although it was just fine to say twice. And thank you.
Thanks, Marie..you said it all. I still can’t wrap my mind around what it is that has drawn so many of us to these guys!! I look at other groups, thinking I should deversify, but it just doesn’t work!! What is that old song…It’s Magic!! They have certainly cast their spell..in triplicate!!!
Hello Dorothy,
It is magical, truly it is, how we have all been drawn together by 3 Italian ‘boys’. A true blessing to be cherished and thankful for every day. Happy Thanksgiving!!
Whew!
Hasta El Final…
The sentiments, the harmony, the sweet amazing newness and innocence of our Guys. Now I can dive into a glorious day!
Thank you so much, Marie! It’s allllll true!
Thank you so much, Gianluca, Ignazio, and Piero! May you have some glimpse of how gloriously you transform and uplift our lives!
Love and gratitude,
~ Jeanine, Compassion’s Doorway
Wish I’d said that, Marie!
Marie, you have the knack of always putting the right words at the right time. Of course, when IL VOLO is the subject, only praises apply. Where did the years go? We have watched these boys grow into such wonderful men. Their compassion to other human beings. Their sweetness. Still, they stay humble. They have become more handsome than words can say. I love these men. Hoping for a new album, new songs, old songs and new USA tour now that they are with SONY. THANK YOU MARI FOR ALL YOU DO.
I love Il Volo!
Gale wonderful to see there is going to be a world tour. I am so waiting to see them again.
Marie I am adding Ignazio’s smiles & hugs & the rest you nailed. So love that video & another of my favourite songs. The smiles always return to my face when I see their faces |& smiles & listen to their songs & watching Ignazio while Barry is singing is sheer heaven.
Your talent isn’t only poetry Marie you always come up with the right comment at the right time I look forward to your next one.
Wow I hope Canada is included in that tour if not I’ll go to the ends of the earth to see them.
Hi Marie: You are sooo creative! You’ve said it ALL! The boys are totally marvelous and not to mention adorable! I can’t wait to go to Italy and Sicily in May to see their birthplaces!
I am so jealous. I would love to go back and see everything I didn’t get to see in July. Since I took my grandson when he graduated high school, my granddaughter now wants me to take her to Italy when she graduates in 4 years. I don’t know if I can wait that long before I go back.
Dear Sony: I would like to turn on my TV, check the Charter Guide and find Il Volo listed. Make my dream come true!
Maria–You are always able to express just how we all feel with loving words and photos. I have nothing left to say as everyone has beautifully expressed what is in my heart so I will just continue to sit here with tears rolling down my cheeks !!
Oops-I think I still know your name MARIE !!
Thank you Joanie. That was so sweet!
Thank you everyone. THEY make it pretty easy.
Marie you have done it again. You have managed once more to brighten my day even more with your words and pictures. The video was definitely a walk down memory lane. I go on YouTube a lot to watch their old videos. It is truly amazing how they have grown into such fine young gentlemen right before our eyes. If we all feel as proud of them as we are, can you imagine how their families feel .
FYI–Our Guys have fallen behind by 4,000. A few days ago they were up by 65,000+.
Did anyone notice Gianluca’s last picture? He looks so tall like he grew a few inches. So adorable!!!
Wow, how is it I have missed Hasta El Final??? Until tonight I have never seen that video and I do not remember ever hearing it . Wow and double wow. Thanks Marie, yes its still the music.
Hi, Connie!
I discovered Hasta El Final early on and fell in love with the lyrics. Worth looking up translation.
Gotta have an IL VOLO sing-along party one of these days! (Have to sing along quietly enough to hear the Guys, though! 😉
Looking forward to checking out ATIV after the weekend activities are over. Thanks, folks, for sharing!
Ciao!

If you’re up to it, we have yet another voting opportunity to support one of our guys. Ignazio’s new composition, PAURA D’AMORE, is competing for Best Unpublished Song. Once again, you may vote many times! See ALL ABOUT IL VOLO for info and link.
Sorry, it is for, FAVORITE UNRELEASTED SONG.
Just finished watching the full video of the recent Porta a Porta show on Rai Tv. I have asways enjoyed these shows, but I have to say this is probably the best one yet. Even though you can’t understand a word being said, you don’t care because it’s not too hard to follow by watching our guys. Wonderful as always, and certainly fill in our missing them recently. You must watch, it’s full of surprizes. How about Gianluca singing “LOVE ME TENDER”, for one. Also special guest! Link is on All Things Il Volo. Enjoy!!!
Kitty, link is right here! Enjoy!
I had listed “Love Me Tender” as one of the songs to be
on the next album and Gianluca did outstanding on Rai
TV. Thanks for the link. The host Bruno Vespa has
been very kind to our singers on other Porta a Porta
shows he hosts. You can tell he loves “Il Volo” maybe
as much as we do. I love all the songs they sing,
whatever language they use, however, I understand
the English ones the best. I had read a tweet that
Gianuca was letting his hair get long and it looked
really good. I could go on and on, I love them all.
