This reminds me of a photo of an alien or robot! He has such a serious look on his face, yet I can’t imagine why?
I would love to know what he is thinking and why he actually posed this way.
I can only guess the guys were going just as stir crazy as we were…waiting…and waiting…for this awesome CD to finally be released.
I know the picture tied in with another one of him attempting to open the CD and we all know how challenging THAT can be as they are HERMETICALLY SEALED!
So…EARTH TO PIERO-BOT…we LOVE the new CD and will follow you to ANY planet you are inhabiting to hear YOUR OUT OF THIS WORLD VOICE!

Piero’s Frustration ~ Mary Bohling
Piero is so excited about the new release that he can’t wait to get it out of the packaging. He thinks maybe he can rip it open with his teeth….I’ve tried that, Piero, and it doesn’t work. All the biting you can muster is not going to loosen the shrink wrap some sadist invented. It takes a lot of patience to get at the treasure. Be very careful if you decide to try the sharp scissors route. That’s a dangerous approach, and should only be used as a last resort.

It’s also funny that you both submitted articles on the same pictures. Oh well, you know what they say, “Great minds…”
Piero, they are correct. We Love you without socks or ties or with a cd in your mouth or on your glasses. You see…even when you’re not singing we love you!

And here I thought I was the only one that had trouble opening the CD we had been waiting sooo long for. And yes, I even tried my teeth! ;Mary and Jane, you brightened up a morning that has otherwise been gray and cloudy and chilly.
Here is my method of opening CDs that rarely fails. Get a letter opener. Insert the point in at the corner on the narrow top where the shrink wrap is folded up. You should be able to push the point in somewhere along that little fold. Then just slide the opener across. Works like a charm! Of course, if they have then taped the CD shut you have to wrestle the tape off. But at least the shrink wrap is gone!
Good advice! Thanks! I usually go for a knife and hope I don’t slice myself in the process. Yes, the taped CD inside the cellophane can be just as tricky. Worth all the angst in the long run just to hear them sing!! 🙂

Penina! Better the letter opener than Pirate using her sword!! You ought to see that performance! A lot of arrrrghing and grumbling and the parrot is swearing and squawking!

God’s gift to the world! These guys are so very special. <3 Each song from them can increase feelings of happiness, sweetness,gladness, immensity, love,hope, beauty that belong only to those with the gift of greatest artist. Guys are marvelous singers !!! <3 They have magic songs and (also unbelievable) voices which run through the skin and you easily submit to their charms,they grab your heart,strongly hug it and you know that you are in love forever with their music and their awesome personalities. <3 <3 <3 Kissing with serenade of great love forever ! 🙂 (All day I was listening CD Grande Amore,so I'm in a poetic mood.)

Dear Il Volo Crew, Gianluca is still part of Il Volo, you can talk about him, at least from time to time. He has many fans as well.

Yes Josie Gianluca is very handsome & extremely caring & compassionate of others. I remember when they were being interviewed when they first started & as some interviewers are quite ignorant & overlook heavier people as Ignazio was at the time. Gianluca when he finished being interviewed said to the interview “ask Ignazio a question”. I could have crawled through the computer & given him a big hug. Even now he stills turns to the other guys for their response. I compliment him on how he has worked on his crooner skills to perfection & I can only say he is the BEST crooner on the planet.
Loretta well said. He is the best baritone on the world and a great human being. The subject most talked this week about Il Volo has been their meet with Francesca a little girl in Argentina. Everybody was touched by the emotion of the moment she saw Gianluca in front of her and Gianluca´s tears for have made her dream come true. This is the guy who is always putting the others ahead of himself, including his fellows of Il Volo, like what you said about his sensibility about Ignazio also be including in a interview. Maybe Piero putting a cd in his head or his clothes be more interesting……
Ditto Loretta !! GIanluca certainly has completely captured my heart with his sensitivity and tender loving heart. I just want to hug him and never let him go !!
Girls tht’s what I witnessed on the computer at an interview. I still have to say Ignazio is my hearthrob but I also see how Gianluca puts his hands on the others shoulders or arm when they are singing because I get the feeling he is truly grateful they are there with him singing & is happy they are sharing their success with him. Last year when I gave them a t-shirt with each one of their pictures on the front of it. He saw the shirt & it was a picture of him a little younger & he was happy for the earlier picture on the front ot it that I got such a firm & long hug from him. He was truly happy because he said to Ignazio he hadn’t seen that picture before.
These are just instants that I have seen on the computer & witnessed on stage as far crooning he is the best crooner in the world & his Anema e cora is breathtaking. Presley songs are passe I would rather hear the arabian song that starts with an (A) forget the name & he kneels down at the end, Very emotional. Anyway that’s my take on Gianluca

He has such a tender heart and expresses it through his
music with perfection……I listen to Il Volo’s music every
day and try to catch all the interviews I can but don’t yet
have the hang of Facebook….. Maybe one of these days
I will catch on…..If I can’t go to sleep after about an
hour, I get up and listen to Gianluca sing “Love Me
Tender.” or Il Volo sing Eternally, This Day is the
Best Day of My Life, or Beautiful That Way…..Last
night I couldn’t sleep so I listened to them sing at
“Miss Italy Contest” and “The Nobel Peace Prize
Concert”…..Very good performances. About
opening those CD’s, I get the girl at Barnes and
Noble to open it for me before I leave the store. She
very willingly opens it for me and makes it ready to
pop in the player in my car to listen to on my way
back home…..Sweet, sweet Gianluca, I love him and
his music but I love all three, especially for Ignazio
and Piero’s humor, and their way with little children.
I, too, think they will make great husbands and
dad’s. (with the right young lady.)
Loretta, I couldn’t agree with you more. My 89 year old Mother was dumfounded when she heard Gianluca sing for the first time. Then she listened to all three and has been hooked ever since. She said in her 89 years she has never ever seen the likes of them, looks and voices! She wishes she’d be around another 89 years to see where they go in their careers!! I have been an Elvis fan forever, but Gianluca takes his (Elvis’s) music to a whole new level!!! I love them all equally as they are all so individually talented in their own special ways!!!
I agree Jane & Gale I love all three because of their individual talents & sense of humour & just plain humbleness & goodness. And as far as husbands the girls that win their love better be extra specially humble & amazing women themselves. I would hate to see how devastated these guys would be if a woman they loved betrayed them.
I love opening the computer first thing in the morning & listening to a song from the guys that puts me in a good mood for the rest of the day. My consolation for knowing I won’t be here to see how their careers or life goes is I expect to go to heaven & I will have a first class seat in the first row.& if Ignazio is sad I can come to him in his sleep & sooth his sorrows. Now hat is wishful thinking
Yes Josie, Gianluca is the very best baritone in today’s music world. The very first time I saw these three boys, I fell in love immediately. However, Gianluca stole my heart with his soothing voice, the handsome face and his sensitive, shy persona. I have, throughout the years of watching them perform, noticed how gianluca does put his arm around piero and Ignazio alot. The latest about the little girl singing first with her father, then the boys coming out, her reaction and Gianluca’s tears and kisses for her was so moving. I love these guys so much. My day can’t start before I listen to IL VOLO’S beautiful rendition of L’IMMENSITA’ and Canzone Per Te. They love each other as if they were blood related and defend each other always. Gianluca, being the youngest, get alot of heckling from the other two. So much fun to watch, but Gian also gets his digs in there. What more is there to say other than we are all in the same boat when it comes to these three incredible human beings. We are all hopelessly in amored with them.
I open the shrink wrap on cd’s using a sewing needle to pierce and then push along to make a bigger hole and then get my finger to do the rest. x x x hope this helps. x x x
Thanks for this fun article. I got such a laugh when I saw the video of Piero placing the album by his head and resting it on his glasses. He was able to stay so still and keep it there. It was so funny because Gianluca went on talking to the host and just ignored him. I’m sure Ignazio probably felt like laughing but didn’t pay much attention either. Piero is very good at promoting their music etc.
I too agree that Gianluca has such a beautiful voice and love how he starts and finishes most songs. He is such a sensitive and sweet young man and obviously feels things so deeply. After singing Grande Amore the first time at SanRemo, he was so moved, it brought him to tears. He has also mentioned how he started crying when he first met Barbra Sreisand. And seeing him recently with little Francesca and singing with her was just amazing. He was so touched by her happiness. I also sense that there are times he is a peacemaker when Piero or Ignazio may be upset and he tries to keep things calm.
