You wait for an event for so long, and then in an instant, everything seems to be over.
It happened again this time.
After a dreary autumn day, sported the day before, for the day of the big event, Verona has prepared a beautiful day, with a warm afternoon sun.
The meeting of the soundcheck was scheduled for 4:30pm and finally after an hour and a half of the queue, and endless beautiful meetings with so many fans that I know only via internet, we managed to enter.
Ignazio went wild in an imitation of Freddy Mercury, in “I WANT TO BREAK FREE”, too good and nice Ignazio.
Half an hour of song rehearsals, and the boys greeted us and left. There are two full hours before the concert starts and we can’t leave the Arena.
Slowly, the whole Arena fills up, the emotion is at its peak.
A pianist opens the evening and then IL VOLO, it all starts !!!
The stage is beautiful, full of lights, a large inscription IL VOLO stands tall.
It starts with “NESSUN DORMA”.

P = However I wanted to tell this event and now I’m leaving, as a brother, I’m leaving. (to the people) I will miss 3 minutes and then I come back, don’t cry. (applause, Gianluca approaches Ignazio)

I = We are passionate about Musicals, and this is why we decided to sing this song, it is part of one of the most famous American Musicals in the world, “WEST SIDE STORY” ….. (Ignazio jokes with the emotions of the public) … I seem to be Mega Mind: “MARIA”.

When “SMILE” starts, there is a nice surprise, Fabio Ingrassia, on stage, performs a beautiful drawing, which in the end is a portrait of Charlie Chaplin.
Very beautiful.
One of the most touching moments:
Ignazio sings “ANCORA TU NELL’UNIVERSO”, magnificent interpretation, Ignazio, how much emotion.
Same emotion for Piero with his solo “WHERE DO I BEGIN”, wonderful interpretation.
And what about the fantastic “BRIDGE OVER TROUBLED WATER” by Gianluca, emotion to the stars, another fabulous interpretation.
Every once in a while my eyes turned around, and it was a spectacle in the show, a flood of faces and hands that clapped, little lights that lit up, fantastic!!
And in the end, an explosion and a lot of colorful confetti, beautiful.
All really fantastic, the 27 songs performed with so much skill but also with much love, and what about the voices, the voices of Piero, Gianluca and Ignazio, are getting better and better, a charm that takes you from beginning to end.
And for those who want to see almost the whole concert from beginning to end, here is this video, it was taken up sideways and often frames the big screens, but you really don’t lose anything of the evening.

Yesterday I wanted to surprise my grandmother bringing her to the Il Volo concert. She did not expect me to come and I found myself in Verona waiting for her. She didn’t even know that we would have seen the concert from under the stage and she was ecstatic all evening holding my hand. The strongest moment when the boys sang “Caruso”, one of the few songs that makes me cry automatically. Before he died, when he was still well, I was at the table with my grandfather and in a transmission there was Lucio Dalla singing his masterpiece. This big man of almost two meters became small and moved. From that day “Caruso” became the song that reminds me of grandfather. And last night hand-in-hand we listened together with grandma. We went out at midnight with her repeating in a loop: “What a great gift”. Thanks also to Gianluca Ginoble who greeted her from the stage. It’s nice to make those you love happy.
If you have time, don’t waste your time and dedicate it as much as you can to the loved ones. ❤️
You guys were great, there are no right words to express emotions.
To understand, you need to be there, to see, and above all to feel, and then everything will seem so simple and beautiful to you, and a wonderful feeling will come into you and you would no longer want this beautiful feeling to go away.
But as always, everything ends and you already miss all of this, but other concerts are on the horizon. The emotions continue !!

Il Volo Fan Faire in Las Vegas? Some of you have written to me about the possibility. The last Fan Faire was held in the same hotel as they are using for the concert and for their own lodging this time – the Palms. up on the 52nd floor. The notice this time was a little shorter than last time but Jeannette and I are discussing this possible event. I have started talks with the Palms and I have been in contact with Barbara Vitali and other Il Volo management staff. We will get back on this site as soon as we know something for sure.
Thanks to all who put this photo show together . I heard from Jeannette last night that this Verona concert was, indeed, one of the best.
Myron, the Fan Faire is a great idea and will be much appreciated.

A beautiful told story Daniela. I had planned to go to the event in Chicago on 2/15/2020, but circumstances changed and so I am not attending. I love IL Volo, I think the guys are sexy, talented, and give an outstanding performance. I would have loved to meet them, my love is that of grandma for her grandchildren… I would love to just give them a hug. So perfect they are. I will watch all that I can, never tire of them. America will be richer in culture when they are here sharing their talents. God Bless Gianluca, Ignazio, Piero… you have a fan for life. Glad everyone that went to the concert had a great time. Verona concerts always seem to inject special energy in the boys. My daughter searched and found some code to order tickets to the Dallas concert in 2020. The Winspear Opera House sitting is different from the other concerts I attended so hope we got seats we will see well.

Thank you for uploading the video, pictures and articles. Il Volo is fantastic. Beautiful show and singing. I just wondered if they changed the playlist because the tour is now 10 years IL Volo instead of the Musica Tour. I just wish they would sing Voce de Silencio, one of my favorites in their newest album. I’m planning to go to their concert in Maryland/ DC. Not far from me but have to take someone along.
P.s thank you so much for the almost full concert. The audio is great. I watched the same video in one of the IL Volo Facebook and the audio was horrible.it changed the voices of the guys.
Sonia, they are constantly changing the ladder. I can say that if you go to two concerts, you often don’t hear the same songs. In Verona they sang as many as 27 songs, and they were all magnificent.
I hope you can hear the songs you want.

As for the meetings, I didn’t say anything because I want to make a whole post dedicated to this.
My husband and I have just returned home from Italy and the Verona concert. This was my 6th, 4 in the US and one other in Verona, and this one was by far the most exciting and emotionally packed that i have seen. You could tell that not only was the audience of 30000 excited but the guys were also clearly excited and happy to be performing in the Arena. There was the gorgeous singing and funny exchanges between the guys. but also Piero racing up the steps of one side of the arena from the stage to greet and shake hands with fans, then back down to the stage and racing up the steps on the other side singing to fans up there . Then bouncing down the steps like a bunny rabbit. Igna was often bouncing up and down on his toes in excitement. and Gian raced up to where Michele, Ercole, Barbara and others were sitting on the side seats and greeting them. Piero even went to Michele , sat on his lap while he sang a couple of lines of the song. so joyful. But the most memorable moment of the night was Igna’s solo Ancora Tu Nell’universo. You can see from the video how beautifully he sang, starting soft and increasing in intensity as the song went on. It was so beautiful that even before the song was finished the fans at least in the orchestra section were on their feet applauding. you can see on the video that Igna had to take a few seconds both to wait for the applauding to calm down , but also I am sure to compose himself. He was overwhelmed by the crowd reaction and finally finished the last notes of the song. His parents were sitting a few rows in front of us and I cannot imagine how they must have felt watching their their son perform with such passion and be rewarded by the fans with so much love. The night was magic, the guys were on fire and I will remember this concert for a long time to come. Usually after a concert I want more, but this time oddly it was so complete and emotionally fulfilling that I felt satisfied as after a great meal when you are filled up. We have tickets to a couple of concerts in the US . I am sure they will be great, but it will be hard to top this one, the guys performing in front of their beloved Italian and world fans.
Completely agree with you Janet. The concert was fabulous and the emotion and happiness of the boys, and the love of the public, was palpable and created a perfect atmosphere.

Hello all, you said everything what I wanted to say 😁 the concert… the best of the best. Ignazio with Almeno tu nell universo – masterpiece, the best performance of the evening and longest standing ovations. I was many times on my feet, especialy after solos of our beautiful men. You should see their faces when they see standing people, pure happiness and love. Ignazio’s smile after Memory… I think only I stood up from the front raws so he smiled to me like an angel 🥰 and say THANK YOU. Me and my friend had scarf with Polish flag and already during sound check we ware noticed by the guys… we ware loud too 😂 We got special greetings at the sound check and few nice words from Piero during concert. You can see me on the pic taken with audiance at the end of the concert. Im on the left and my friend just above boys heads 😁 M&G was great too, many people but we managed to steal few more minutes 😁 Ignazio, Gian and Piero ware very happy they have so “active” fans from Poland . They liked our gifts, we ware hugged and kissed many times 😍😍😍 Im still so HAPPY 😁😁😁
