CIAO BARBARA by Daniela

Unfortunately it’s all true, the terrible news is making the rounds on fan pages all over the world, Barbara Vitali has left us.
We still can’t get over the sad news, Barbara, the sweet tour manager who always followed Piero, Ignazio and Gianluca step by step since the first days has left us.
The announcement was made by Il Volo with these sad and poignant words:
Il Volo and Michele Torpedine
announce with deep sorrow the
premature death of their friend and
historic collaborator Barbara Vitali.

Barbara passed away last night
at the Sant’Orsola Hospital in Bologna
following the tragic accident in which she was involved in on Sunday 7 July.
Michele, Ignazio, Gianluca, Piero
together with Eliana Dalila Biondi,
Roberta Natali, Cristina Gelsi, Liliana
Torpedine and all the collaborators of
MT Opera&Blue’s management and the
family hug each other
all those who loved
Barbara and that they will continue to keep her
in a special place
in their heart.
A tragic car accident, Sunday evening near Bologna, it was 8:00 p.m.  Barbara was driving her Fiat 500 car. For reasons still under investigation, the car driven by a 49-year-old man and the car of Barbara, 54, had a head-on collision. The man died immediately, Barbara was transported by helicopter to the hospital in Bologna but she had very serious injuries, last night she finally left us.
The words of Ercole Ginoble are also moving:
Ciao Barbara, for 15 long years you were the lighthouse, the point of reference for our kids, always present and punctual, alongside Michele Torpedine, we shared the trips, the evenings, the concerts together, we shared together the joys that the guys with their great work and their great talent they gave us, the void you leave is unbridgeable, there will always be a special place for you in the hearts of all of us!
Thanks for everything, Barbarina, as we called you. ❤️❤️❤️
And those of Eleonora Ginoble:
@divileo15 Our dear Barbara left us suddenly leaving an unbridgeable void, 15 years with us, in the big family of Il Volo, you saw Piero, Ignazio and Gianluca grow up, always present, point of reference for everyone, many memories and life lived together it will be hard without you Barbari’💔 you will remain forever in our hearts.
Barbara’s birthday, June 13th.
She was always present with our boys, ready to listen to them, to follow them, to even act as their mother a little.
Sweet, sensitive, proud of the three of them, as if they were her children.

She was their “guardian angel” ❤️🙏
I dare not think of the pain of Piero, Ignazio and Gianluca and the profound sadness they will have in their hearts.
Now the news is reported by all the newspapers.
Tomorrow evening Il Volo is in concert in Catania.
For now there is no news of a possible canceled concert.
Rest in peace dear Barbara, you will always remain a sweet memory in our hearts! ❤️🙏❤️

    1. My sincere and heartfelt prayers for all of you and Il Volo for the loss of their Beloved Barbara.
I followed her. May her Memory Be a Blessing.
      Sincerely, Mary Dwork

  1. I’m watching the video of “Hallelujah” in Catania, and crying with the guys and the audience. What a tragic waste this was. And so hard for them with their schedule and so little time to mourn her.

      1. Dol, it’s been posted by several people on Instagram.
        But have a hanky ready.

      2. If you have not found it yet. It is posted in Il Volo American Fan Club We Are Love.

  2. Dear Daniela & Pat – thank you for sharing this tragic news with all of us ‘Down-under’ – I have just been discharged from the Hospital today – I will catch up with you & everyone at IL Volo Flightcrew family when I am feeling better – I miss you all – much love –

  3. R.I.P. Barbara
I know you will still be watching over the guys at each and every concert just like you always did in the past.🙏🏻

  4. Sincere condolences to ILL Volo and the wider ILL Volo family family on the tragic passing of Barbara, our thoughts and prayers are with you at this most difficult time.🙏🏻 From Australia

  5. I watched the video of Hallelujah being sung in Cantania. Your heart just broke from them; they were so emotionally upset and still in shock. How sad that they had to endure that. Clearly they and their whole crew were still hurting. My heartfelt condolences.

  6. I have written one condolence but I can’t find peace until I write another note again for my favorite group Il Volo, I wish I could reach out and hug you guys because my heart aches for you. It takes a little darkness for us to see the stars, and a lifetime to reach them, God is always in your corner at a time like this…..and so am I, with a heart to share and a friend who cares. I am Fortune from Hawaii.

  7. With the deepest condolacenes to Barbara’s family,I ragazzi Il Volo and to all that knew her. Death is a sadness and void in the heart that can’t be filled, but through music the heart slowly slowly finds a small way to sort of heal. In music we find happiness, sadness, loniness, and all things that sometimes can not be explained otherwise. RIP Barbara.

  8. My deepest sympathies go out to you Il Volo, the Il Volo family and Barbara’s Family. I watched the youtube video singing Hallelujah in Cantania and cried along with Piero, Ignazio and Gianluca through the whole video. I hope you find the strength to keep going, we all love your beautiful music. Always a fan, Marcia in Connecticut, USA

  10. Lamenting the loss of a member of the Il Volo team. Her job was well carried out integrating the wonderful singers with each other, with their families, with the musicians and the whole crew. It was a job well done. She remains in their hearts and in ours, too, with gratitude. Alex and Cecilia love all their concerts and their cute interactions. May God protect you all.

  11. So hard to imagine Il Volo without Barbara’s infectious and omnipresent energy! RIP, Barbarina, You will be TERRIBLY missed by all of us!

    1. I was so saddened by the news, I cried, even though I didn’t know her she was so young and full of life. It’s hard to believe someone that gave so much of her life is now gone. I will continue to keep il Volo and all of those that are involved with the boys. Michel for guidance. I will keep everyone in my prayers, so God can put a hedge of protection around all of those involved with the group. I love them they have made such a difference in my life. When I listen to them sing it gives me such peace. May God give them the peace and comfort they are seeking. God bless Sara Mendez.

      1. I agree with everything you said, Sara! I cried too for a couple days. 😭 The guys have made a difference in mine and so many others’ lives.
