And here I am with an update on the various events Il Volo participated in.
Let’s start with September 10th, when Fiorella Mannoia’s concert, held on June 3rd at the Baths of Caracalla, was broadcast on RAI1. I’ve already told you about this concert and attached the videos filmed at that moment, but now that it’s been broadcast on TV, I’m reposting the video of Fiorella and Il Volo’s moment.

On September 12th and 13th, the TIM MUSIC AWARDS took place live from the Verona Arena, where various awards are presented to outstanding singers.
On the evening of September 12th, Il Volo was also present, performing Cohen’s beautiful “Hallelujah” and then accepting the award for their “LIVE” worldwide tours. The event was broadcast live on RAI1.

The event was hosted by Carlo Conti and Vanessa Incontrada, and I’ll translate their words for you.
VANESSA= They’re always touring the world.
CONTI= They’re the most famous Italian trio, having captivated audiences on every continent for over 15 years, and tonight they’re giving us a song that’s primarily a hymn to peace.
By the way, I’m seeing a drone flying, transmitting images; those are the only drones we like to see (he’s referring to the incursion of five Russian drones into Polish territory, which were immediately shot down – applause).
And tonight their song is dedicated precisely to peace.
VANESSA = Exactly.
CONTI = And for you, it’s a chance to turn on all the lights on your phones.

VANESSA = So, you did a tour in the United States, some dates in Europe, and special concerts in Italy, right?
IGNAZIO = Yes, absolutely. Today was a bit of a demonstration of how music can be a bridge between different cultures, different ways of thinking, and the best thing about a tour is being able to meet different people, meet our fans, and still give people a feeling through music.
PIERO = This is a special evening because this is the first award Ignazio has received after becoming a dad. (applause)
VANESSA = It’s true! I didn’t want to pry into your private life, but… (as if to say he wanted to respect your privacy, but it’s great news)
CONTI = And you (Piero and Gianluca) are like uncles!!

What can I say? I don’t know if any of you had the chance to see the entire event, but 38 singers performed, receiving various awards, many rappers beloved by young people, often “over-the-top” figures heavily tattooed and sometimes scantily clad, and women performing in lingerie. In short, Piero, Ignazio and Gianluca always bring a touch of elegance and refinement in addition to their talent. With their song, they highlighted something precious: PEACE, and their voices rose majestically above a sea of “summer hits” that often disappear.
Once again, Il Volo stood out and was appreciated!

The dates for Italian arenas are published.
On September 13th, the 19th edition of GRACE FOR THE WORLD, conceived by Andrea Bocelli and Pharrell Williams, took place in St. Peter’s Square in the Vatican. The event was broadcast live on RETE4.
Among the various artists, Il Volo was also present (in addition to Bocelli, the only Italians).
It was a spectacular evening with St. Peter’s Square as a magnificent backdrop and a series of drones in the sky creating beautiful patterns.
During the evening, beautiful words of brotherhood and peace, testimonials and artists from all over the world, a magnificent choir and orchestra, and a truly unique atmosphere.
Piero Ignazio and Gianluca performed towards the end of the event with a splendid MAGNIFICAT, which we had already heard at the Jubilee of Youth, a truly solemn moment!
I also wanted to point out that before all the events I’ve just listed, Il Volo had two private events, one apparently in Greece and one in Milan.
We learned about the second one through a publication by the Franciacorta Orchestra, which follows Il Volo. They published this post, of which I’m translating a portion.

Last night we had the honor and pleasure of participating in a truly unique private event, hosted in the prestigious setting of Superstudio Events in Milan. A special, elegant, and refined occasion that allowed us to experience and share unforgettable moments.
On stage, joining us, were the talented Il Volo, who conveyed authentic emotions with their music and extraordinary voices. The magical encounter between an orchestra and three internationally renowned artists created a vibrant atmosphere, combining tradition, style, and contemporary energy.”
The update is over for now. It’s been a very intense few days of television, where we saw Ignazio, Piero, and Gianluca in top form. Now they’re back at the end of September for the memorial in honor of Pavarotti.

Cada presentacion es el pálido reflejo de su gloria. Lo logran todo por esa manera hermosa armónica y profesional de enfocar su profesión. Tanto sus canciones tradicionales sus covers magistralmente interpretados como esas ,sus Inéditas que son ya éxitos imborrables ,gravados en cada Corazón de sus millones de seguidores ,que cada vez se multiplican.
Agregado a esto cada uno suma su performance, cada uno suma su personalidad ,cada uno suma su manera de enfocar la vida y con estos aportes particulares se aumenta la magia , por que ….. La Sobria imagen de Piero ,esa seguridad inspiradora, esa ternura arrolladora y su fuerza interpretativa ,esa voz profunda ,esa voz lírica profesional trabajada aporta la parte fuerte segura y tierna del grupo conformando un primer pilar indestructible y primer cimiento .
Ahora la belleza interpretativa ,los alcances tonales de esa voz de Ignazio esos rangos tan altos de su voz ,más su juguetona y extrovertida forma de ser,lo hace una cadena de cohesión invisible entre ellos, pero a la vez de alguna manera su toquesito acerbo le da un punto indecifrable y por lo tanto atractivo a esta relación, ojalá indisoluble por todo el tiempo que Dios le regale al grupo y conforma el segundo pilar inamovible ese cimiento que los hace poderosos .
Y por último y absolutamente importante el aporte Exclusivo, Puro , Encantador y pleno de belleza de Gianluca, su profundidad espiritual,su deseo de perfección, su inmensa entrega a cultivar el alma de el enn primer lugar y su deseo de influenciar a tantas y tantas personas ,incluyendo a sus compañeros, ese deseo de ser mejor de abrazar con su ternura, de ser único ,de amar todo lo que sea amor ,por que eso es un soñador , le confiera al grupo ese toque de nostalgia de inocencia de pícara contravía que se atraviesa juguetona pero directa en la fuerte relación , en la Unión Fraterna en la maravillosa hermandad de los tres, moviendo un poco la sinergia del grupo. Acompaña a esto su voz sinónimo de nostalgia , sus Giros vocales que nos dan esas interpretaciones tan sentidas , esa su voz hermosa consigue que sea el complemento perfecto el broche de oro y obvio el tercer pilar y cimiento extraordinario que sostiene de manera complementaria y poderosa esa estructura maravillosa del mejor grupo Italiano ,del grupo que nos enamoro desde ya hace tantos años y que llevamos gravado en el alma .
La combinación perfecta se hace mucho más fuerte ,más que eso única, con la cereza del pastel : !!! esa Empatía que derraman ,esa simpatía inmensa ,natural que brota sincera y arrolladora hacia sus seguidores, logran en cada uno ese efecto raro magnético que nos estremece de tal forma que ya es imposible dejar de seguirlos de admirarlos y quererlos por siempre. ….. Y no se puede ignorar por que es su esencia el aporte maravilloso de sus familias ,de su sabio Manager ,de su fiel banda liderada por ese director musical que le da a cada uno su mejor lugar en el conjunto, Musicalmente hablando, y en especial esa luz poderosa protectora y formadora de su Angel Hermoso llamado Barbara.

I’ve never been short of words, however the drone display took my breath away! Seeing the men sing with such passion, commitment, love and dignity makes me love them more each day (as if that’s possible).
We are living in troubled times and each day brings more challenges, twists and turmoil, if we could all have 24 hours and give PEACE a chance, treat everyone we know or don’t know with dignity and respect, maybe we could help each other feel better even if only for an hour! Wear a smile instead of a frown, say hello to people as you pass them by, together just try a little harder to share love and not hate!

Sorry for not having been around for a while. I have been exploring Italy on a 3 weeks holiday with very little possibility or time to follow any news of any kind nor to post here, sorry. But now I am all well back home and I should like to thank you Daniela and Pat for keeping us updated with these latest activities of our beloved guys.
As said I have been away and only swiftly been aware of the special appearances and awards received. So much appreciated to get all the details here. I am so proud of the guys now so rightly being recognized more and more and not the least to note that they are the obvious choice when top Italian artists are to be chosen for an event. Wonderful news . To see them singing in front of thousands of people in the Sct. Peter’s Square gives me goose bubbles – they must have loved and appreciated each single moment. And as many of you have pointed out – we can always rest assured that their presence will be elegant and graceful upgrading the event. And oh am I glad to see them nominated and honored with a price at the TIM-awards. Yes, their live shows are indeed unique and something Italy can be proud of. Kudos guys!
