As I told you, there is no rest for our three guys, we left them in Bucharest and immediately after they ran home to Italy, to Turin for a beautiful performance, among many other singers, in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele, as part of the feast of San Giovanni.
The participation of the public was incredible, as you can see from the photo below.
It’s a really hot Italian summer and these events in the square attract a lot of people, especially a lot of young people, so I’m very happy when Il Volo joins in on this type of performance, moreover the event was performed live on June 24th, but Mediaset, in particular Canale 5 broadcast it on June 29th.

I start by attaching the two videos from Canale 5, I hope that most of you can see them because they are of excellent quality. The presenter of the evening is Gerry Scotti who introduced Il Volo with beautiful words that I propose to you immediately.

They are much loved artists with crystalline talent. They are at home on Canale 5, also because they rarely see their real home because they are always around the world with their fantastic concerts, but tonight they are here with us, with you: Il Volo!

G.SCOTTI= We are about to listen to a timeless masterpiece of Italian opera, and the reason why in introducing you I literally defined you “the youngest ambassadors of Italian music in the world”.
By now you have the success you deserve and the applause of this square is yet another demonstration because I followed your shows on television and you already knew it.
PIERO= Thanks Gerry.

Towards the end of the evening, a young dancer, Francesco, also performed on stage, performing his dance to the music of WHO WANTS TO LIVE FOREVER sung by Il Volo, so that this song was also heard by the audience.

The newspapers talked about the Turin event. I’ll translate for you what they wrote about Il Volo in the DILEI newspaper.
Il Volo, Nessun Dorma, thrilling. Rating 9 They have toured the world with their voices, but seeing them on an Italian stage always has a special charm. The guys from Il Volo arrive in perfectly coordinated black suits, sobriety and class in every detail. They sing with pathos, passion, impeccable technique. They thrill and warm the soul, so much so that Gerry Scotti can’t resist and goes up on stage to join them. But the highlight is Nessun Dorma: a textbook performance, powerful, vibrant, that makes more than one person in the square’s legs tremble. Il Volo confirms itself as the perfect bridge between opera and pop, and on an evening like this they know how to be the absolute protagonists without overdoing it.
But there is still more to see, because on June 26 Il Volo participates in an event on Lake Como, and precisely at Villa d’Este. Nothing has leaked about the evening, Villa d’Este published this press release the following day:
“What can we say about last night? The anniversary of our 150 seasons of emotions deserved to be celebrated with such style and joy! Many thanks to ALL our Guests (not only those who joined yesterday’s celebrations) and to our wonderful staff who made this fairy tale come true.”

Instead our guys sent us these photos taken in the beautiful gardens of Villa d’Este.
But the month of June is not over yet and so from Lake Como, off to Naples on June 28th, and exactly in the beautiful gulf of Sorrento, to the luxurious and exclusive Maya Beach Experience for a private event, of which I can offer you these video fragments.
We had followed Il Volo, up to the concerts in Taormina, but since then there have been many events to talk about.
The World Meeting of Families at the Vatican and the beautiful meeting of Piero, Ignazio and Gianluca and their respective families, with the Pope, was really very beautiful and exciting, an event of which Susan spoke very well to you.
There was Piero’s birthday and everyone wrote their best wishes for him, even on our site the beautiful publication edited by Jana and Kelly, and Piero, while he was flying to Germany, made a short video of thanks to all the fans.
“Hello to all the fan clubs, I have received all your messages, wishes for my birthday, thank you again, you are always too kind. ❤
Now we are on the flight to Frankfurt, for the concert tonight, tomorrow night we’ll sing in Düsseldorf, we are waiting for you at all the concerts.”
Then, there were the first two concerts abroad, and exactly in:
June 25 in Frankfurt.
There was a lot of emotion, sold out. The audience was very warm.

My friend Albertine, from Netherlands, was in Düsseldorf, at her first Il Volo concert, that’s what she wrote to me.
“Hi Daniela, I am back in our hotel and I am very happy.
Their voices are amazing. It is a pity they did not come down from the stage as in Frankfurt. But any how I am very happy.
I cannot express in words. They are fantastic.
It was more than what I have imagined.
Their voices are really so good. Imagine, I took the train from Holland and my friend Marie-Jeanne Jans from Belgium, to Düsseldorf.
We haven’t met and for the first time met in the hotel in Düsseldorf, because of IL Volo. We are best friends now. Two old ladies that long to see and hear IL Volo.
That was an evening that we will never forget. In our hotel, we met a lot of people who came from Holland to be in the concert of IL Volo. The next morning we met and talk about the concert. After seen them in concert makes me more love them and respect them. I hope one day I can meet them personally and able to hug each one of them. ❤❤❤ 🌹🌹🌹 Send them my love, please. I wish I could speak Italian then I can understand all what they are talking. But I have enjoyed the concert very much. Next time, I hope to be in Taormina.”

………. but it is not so, Il Volo stopped at the beautiful Villa D’Este on Lake Como, for a private event, the celebrations of the 150th anniversary of Villa D’Este.
Villa D’Este is a beautiful villa in Cernobbio, on Lake Como. It is considered one of the most beautiful works of architectural art of the sixteenth century, it is surrounded by a 10-hectare (24.71 acres) park with centenary plants, and in its halls you can admire fascinating works of art.

Many of you have asked what the event was that the guys participated in at Villa d’Este.
This past week, Villa d’Este celebrated their 150th Anniversary or as they called it, “One Hundred and Fifty Seasons of Emotions.”
Known for its Elegance, Murder and Intrigue, Villa d’Este overlooks one of the most romantic lakes in the world, Lake Como. Every window and terrace has an exceptional view of the lake. In the evening, you can watch the boats quietly return to shore. It’s as if time has stood still in this little corner of Italy.
Villa d’Este is a place where dream scenarios are created. If you’re ever in Lake Como visit Villa d’Este to immerse yourself in one of the most luxurious hotels in the world but, be sure to bring the Black Card because the price tag is quite high $$$$! It is a luxury Five-Star Hotel. The most beautiful hotel in Italy and many say in the world.
Once a Jesuit center for spiritual exercises, in 1784, the property passed to the Milanese Calderari family, who undertook a major restoration project and created a new park all’Italiana, with an impressive nymphaeum and a temple displaying a 17th century statue of Hercules hurling Lichas into the sea.
After the death of the Marquis Calderari, his wife Vittoria Peluso, a former ballerina at La Scala and known as la Pelusina, married a Napoleonic general, Count Domenico Pino, and a mock fortress was erected in the park in his honor.
In 1815, it became the residence of Caroline of Brunswick, estranged wife of future King George IV. In a diary, Caroline wrote, “It’s Garden seems almost suspended in the air and it forms a scene of complete enchantment.” She gave it the name Nuova Villa d’Este and had the park landscaped in the English style.
The original building was converted into a deluxe hotel for the nobility and the high bourgeoisie in 1873 and kept the name Villa d’Este to take advantage of the apparent link with the famous Villa d’Este in Tivoli, near Rome.
A gala dinner held at the Villa d’Este in 1948 was the scene of the celebrated murder of wealthy silk merchant Carlo Sacchi. His lover Countess Pia Bellentani shot Sacchi dead with her husband’s automatic pistol.
Countless famous couples have lived their great love stories at Villa d’Este. Among them are Elizabeth Taylor and Nicky Hilton, Rita Hayworth and Orson Welles, Clark Gable and Carol Lombard, Ava Gardner and Frank Sinatra, Aristotle Onassis and Maria Callas and Woody Allen and Mia Farrow.

The guys arrived at Villa d’Este straight from their concert in Dusseldorf, Germany. They had a bit of a break. They walked around the property and took some videos and then they enjoyed the rest of the day before the event of June 29th.
Well, I’ve looked high and low and the only other video I could find besides “My Way,” was the video below which someone took bits and pieces of video clips and put them together in a video. In the end I am grateful for it because there are no other videos.
