Costumes of Venice

LynnK sent me a postcard she picked up while in Venice, Italy in October. The front was a photo of costumes worn at the Carnevale di Venezia (Carnival of Venice). I was so enamored by the costumes that Lynn sent me another post card and followed that by emailing this awesome video. What wonderful Italian Art!

Lynn said, “I thought maybe the Crew might be a attracted to the visual gorgeousness the way I was. It must be an amazing experience to see all these costumes in action!”costume 1

Have you ever seen anything like that in your life?  In my next life I’ll be born knowing everything about my new country, Italy.

P.S. I also have a sneaky suspicion that our LynnK might have some of her own “random” posts now and then.

  1. How wonderfully exotic. Thank you Marie for the for the information & beautiful pictures. I read everything line. The more we learn of Italy the ore |I want to go there. Too bad we can’t live for a year or so there when all these interesting experiences are happening. Just to see them in person would be amazingly spellbinding, at least to me.

  2. Mardi Gras is fun no matter which country. We saw several while stationed in Germany. Italy’s costumes probably are the most artistic and grand.
    Thank for the post.

6:30 – Il Volo: Buon Natale
8:00 – Frank Sinatra: Voice of Our Time
9:30 – Giada Valenti: From Venice with Love
    11:00 – Andrea Bocelli: Cinema

  4. HEADS UP DONNA FRANCOIS just discovered IL VOLO is NOT PLAYING at the Budweiser in London Canada October 15TH it is IL DIVO. I just asked my son to go with me in London & he went on line & found out it is Il Divo NOT Il Volo. I asked the girl at the theatre yesterday she said Il Volo because I asked her if Il Volo was going to be there on October 15th & she said yes. SSOO she wasn’t paying attention to who I asked for. SSOO am I ever glad I didn’t buy a ticket. So anyone else in Canada expecting Il Volo in London it is Il Divo instead & THEY are going to the Fox theatre in Detroit for Ocrtober 16th 2016, To make sure I just called Budweiser Theatre in London Ontario & again & asked the maN WHO ANSWERED IF IT WAS iL vOLO OR IL DIVO & HE SAID IL DIVO

  5. Darn! I’m still a bit leery though because I also found it on a website along with the new Oct. Date for Detroit. So Il Divo is coming to Detroit.I hope they don’t keep mixing up their names.SORRY, sorry.Thank you for checking.
