L’AMORE SI MUOVEhas changed my daughter’s life, and consequently, also mine. With this piece she won the gold medal at the Italian Fisdir Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships.
She is a girl with Down Syndrome.
In 2017, however, in Rimini, a bronze medal with PER TE CI SARO’.
So her mother has attached the video of the bronze medal.

I found some news on this girl. Her name is Francesca Giovelli (for friends, Chicca). She is from Salerno and is a fan of IL VOLO, especially Piero.

I remember years ago, you were so young then. Sometimes, I can’t help but wish, that you were small again. I’ve ached when you’ve faced heartaches, and saw, that as you grew, nothing broke your Spirit, instead it strengthened you. I’m filled with mixed emotions, as I hold back all the tears and, with much pride remember, back so many years. When I first saw you if only I’d have known, the years would feel like moments, after you had grown. You aren’t a child, though in my eyes, I guess you’ll always be, that young boy who changed my life, and means the world to me.
I stumbled across this touching poem that made me think of watching Ignazio, Piero and Gianluca growing up before our very eyes, and of us, their devoted fans. So many of us have said how finding Il Volo has changed our lives for the better. Deepening our love of bel canto, discovering new friendships,traveling adventures to concerts and for some, to their beautiful Italy, and being witness to three genuine young men who are making the world a better place just by being themselves, have been but a few of the joys these boys have given us.
I wish someone had documented on film little Gianluca standing in the town square singing at the age of 3. Or the first time Piero’s Nonno heard him sing and asked who that was? Or Ignazio banging away on his drums in his bedroom at a tender young age.
I love going back and looking at footage of our boys at young ages as their talents were beginning to be recognized. Daniela sent me this first video of Ignazio , back in 2007, performing at Marsala Impero Theater in a re-adaptation of Gen Rosso’s musical, STREETLIGHT. I found the second video filmed during the same performance. Ignazio knew his way around the spot light way back then. This boy was meantto be on a stage!
The next video is of Piero singing with Nonno Pietro in what looks like the town piazza. Note how Piero is directing the children’s choir right behind him. How adorable!
And finally we have Gianluca with his younger version of Il MareCalmo Della Sera. His voice was so strong and powerful way back then. Note the sweet quick smile he breaks into when the audience applauds. I remember in an interview with his parents they stated he was so shy when he was young, he would look upwards the entire song or turn and face the wall, so as not to have to look at people while he sang. Here he actually sneaks a few glances at the camera.
Yes, Gianluca, Piero and Ignazio…you will always be…the young boys who changed our lives and mean the world to us.
After a long wait, yesterday came the evening of the Sanremo Festival where we could see the boys again.
They sang three songs, NESSUN DORMA, CANZONE PER TE, and LA VITA E’ ADESSO.
Beautiful in Armani, they immediately presented themselves with NESSUN DORMA.
Good as always.
They had a very long applause from the audience and a standing ovation.
The audience liked the show very much.
Soon after they paid homage to Sergio Endrigo, composer of CANZONE PER TE. They performed it together with Baglioni and in the original version.
Honestly I prefer when the guys sing it alone in their version.
Baglioni asks Piero, Ignazio and Gianluca, what an effect it has been returning here since 2015.
Ignazio replied that after three years, great emotion. We were born here in 2009 with TI LASCIO UNA CANZONE (was broadcast by Sanremo) as a trio. We won the Sanremo Festival in 2015 and meet again here after three years and be received with a great standing ovation is a great honor and pleasure.

Baglioni continues by saying that yesterday there was a tribute to a great composer, Luis Bacalov and tonight we would like to make another tribute as is the custom in this Sanremo for a great singer-songwriter and performer who has been missing for thirteen years, Segio Endrigo.

Then they left the stage and we all thought that their performance was over. We were also disappointed with just two songs.
After a long wait, towards the end of the show, they came back to sing LA VITA E ‘ADESSO, a beautiful song written by Baglioni.
They sang, IL VOLO and BAGLIONI, and it was fantastic, engaging, loose, sung well and involved the audience who gave many applause and another standing ovation.
After so much waiting, all over, beautiful memories remain and the certainty that the boys are always in good shape.
Here is the latest news: the Flight will pay tribute to Sergio Endrigo, so we think it can be CANZONE PER TE. It will not be the only song that they sing but for now is the only new clue.
In addition, the official Facebook of IL VOLO has asked us via email to do this thing that I consider very pretty.

In these days, the middle school was inaugurated in Naro, and Piero was present.
The school was already existing but was closed for several years due to restructuring.

When I was in elementary school, they told me that in the first year of middle school teacher NISI had the students sing, so this was the exam I had to overcome, and I could not wait to start middle school.
I found myself in the first desk and teacher Nisi says “Piero Barone, sing!” and I sang such UN AMORE COSI’ GRANDE as the first song.
The mayor indicates with his finger to Piero the teacher Nisi and Piero confirms, saying “yes she is here” – (applause)
So you guys are in good hands. Of course I do not hide that my favorite moment of the school day was the recreation for to eat the sandwich or lunch time. I did not like the gym because I was that chubby.
Today I see so many guys that I meet on the street and maybe many do not know them, but the heart is filled with joy to see many guys with musical instruments.
This is the message that I always try to send to children and especially parents, to give a musical instrument to their children. Today the majority of the time we spend in front of the phone and we waste a lot of time.
Congratulations really guys, because we see that there is so much effort, so much dedication. Congratulations to the teachers because it is not easy for you students “to play the musical canon” that is, each chasing a different time.
I trained at your age with the choir in Agrigento, but the message is addressed to you students, who can always try to play an instrument, to learn something about music, even in art and even in the gym with physical education , because it is from the small things that the great passions are born.
Congratulations to those who have done this wonderful job. I remember this school in which I spent a year, “a year or two years?” (asks confirmation to the teacher Nisi who confirms one year) then there was the restructuring.
