IGNAZIO AND THE FANS by Daniela

Really very nice was Ignazio, who wanted to have a contact via Instagram so the fans who could call him. A really kind and nice idea.

Here’s what was said.

At the beginning Ignazio does not understand well how the activation of the calls works and says that it is too difficult and repeatedly asks for HELP, then complains that he must choose who to talk to and he does not want to do it, but only in this way he can access someone, so he then he says that will choose randomly.

The first call is with a fan from Naples who immediately asks Ignazio how he is. He replies that he is fine and that as soon as this invasion ends (he means the virus) the concert programs will continue, he says they will make the Arena and then Milan and then Taormina. (Ignazio practically assumes that from August onwards their concert program will remain intact.)

The girl says she is from Castellamare di Stabia, near Pompeii and that she can’t wait to see them again.

Ignazio also greets her mother who tells him that they love him. The fan’s dad also greets Ignazio and asks him why he stayed in Bologna. Ignazio replies that he lives in Bologna, but, he had to come to Sicily, but for the virus he cannot move. A friend also arrives, happily says goodbye to Ignazio and tells him to come quickly to Naples to eat the sfogliatelle (typical Neapolitan sweets).

Final greetings.

Ignazio 01

Ignazio regrets having to choose, but at this point he contacts a fan from Brazil, he hopes that the fan speaks English because he does not speak Portuguese.

Instead the girl immediately says that she does not speak English, but speaks Italian and Ignazio is happy.

Her sister also intervenes and she also speaks Italian, they are happy and excited that they are online with Ignazio. The girls are from Rio de Janeiro and say they will come to the Verona concert .

Ignazio replies that then they will meet in August and says goodbye.

Ignazio 02

At this point Ignazio says he has a little surprise and contacts a girl named Arianna. She sent Ignazio a message, where she said that her grandfather passed away recently. He was an unknown singer-songwriter. Arianna sent the  to Ignazio of a grandfather song entitled “A Riva Mare” (By the Seashore).

Ignazio tries to sing it, Arianna has  a lot of emotion, almost in tears.

(I will translate the song – it’s in Neapolitan, I hope to understand right … I also asked Jo Ann Tischler for help and for this I thank her!)

“A Riva Mare” (By the Seashore)

By the seashore, it hurts more than any pain. Looking at the waves of the sea, which spoke of love.

Fly dove fly, carrying my love far away from me.

Come back, come to Ischia (island near Capri) with me.

Don’t make me suffer; don’t make me die.

A loud noise beats hard in my heart:  “It was a lie, a little jealousy, that you can’t understand.”

You can understand, loud noise [in my heart].  Cry with me if this love doesn’t come back here.

Come back, come back to Ischia, to me, because hope is the last to die.

……really nice words, very moving)

Arianna thanks Ignazio, sends him kisses and applauds him. She tells him that he is immense and that there should be more people like him in the world. ❤️ She says her grandpa would be delighted.

Ignazio says he has also made a video and will publish it soon. Arianna thanks him infinite times and tells him that he has given a little light in this dark period, and thanks him with all her heart. She says that with her there are grandmother and mother who thank him with all their heart.

Ignazio asks where in Naples that she lives and what work she does. Arianna replies that she is from San Giorgio, a municipality in Naples and that she is a photographer of newborn children. Ignazio says that, so she could take a picture of him, with the pacifier and the diaper!😁

Final greetings.

Ignazio is happy to have made the basis for this song. Arianna sent him the video of his grandfather singing acapella these beautiful words, and he slowly tried to insert some background music. He says that once more romantic words were written, compared to the songs of today.

Ignazio 03

A fan asks Ignazio if he will come to Marsala soon and he says yes, because he misses Marsala, also because he has all the friends he misses there.

Ignazio is no longer able to connect and then says that he disconnects the live broadcast and then turns it back on. It finally works.

The girl calls from Puerto Rico, asks Ignazio how he is and Ignazio says he is fine, closed in his home.

Even the girl confirms that she is also in quarantine but that it is difficult. Ignazio advises her to be a good girl and not to leave the house. The girl says she is studying and Ignazio tells her that she hasn’t studied all year and is now recovering 😁.

Then the girl says the names of some of her friends, all Volovers, and asks Ignazio to greet them. Ignazio greets them and then sends a kiss.

Ignazio 04

The next call is from Argentina, it is a grandmother and granddaughter, the grandmother is Italian.

Ignazio says that now he has been vegan since late November, after seeing a documentary. Even the girl says she tries to be vegan and Ignazio says it’s hard to be vegan in Argentina.

The girl says that in October, Il Volo came to Argentina, to Luna Park, and her grandmother wanted to see them, give them a kiss, but she couldn’t. The grandmother is from Salerno and went to Argentina at the age of 14.

The grandmother asks how Piero and Gianluca are and Ignazio says what they are doing and says they are fine, all in their quarantined houses, that it is becoming a double quarantine!

Grandma confirms that they too are in quarantine, eat, drink and sleep. The granddaughter says that in her grandmother’s house, she has a photo of her grandchildren on the bedside table and nearby is the photo of Il Volo. Grandma confirms that every night, when she goes to sleep, she looks at them and says that she loves them very much. ❤️

Ignazio thanks, sends them a kiss and says goodbye.

Ignazio 05

Ignazio complains that he doesn’t like to choose, because he doesn’t want to offend anyone and says he is in trouble.

The name of a girl is Ginoble and then Ignazio says to call Gianluca.😁

The connection is with a laughing girl, because she was having dinner. She calls from Ukraine, from Kiev, Ignazio asks her why she speaks Italian and she replies that she is an Italian teacher.

The girl also confirms that she is in quarantine.

She was at the Kiev concert last year, and it was beautiful, her name is Anna.

Ignazio says he spends his days watching TV series, or playing and then confirms that for now the total closure, by decree, is up to April 13 (here in Italy), but he thinks that it will go further, at least until May-June.

Anna confirms June-July for her.

Final greetings.

Ignazio 06

The Internet is blocked again, but time is almost over and Ignazio is happy to have had this experience.

He reads some contacts:
Monterey
Matera
Mexico
Peru

Ignazio apologizes because he can no longer connect and then decides to sing a song, takes the guitar and says that he is self-taught, has never studied guitar, then asks to apologize for the mistakes.

Then he performs a refrain of songs and then ends with “Tirichitolla”.😁

Ignazio greets everyone, sends a kiss and ensures that he will make other connections like this. ❤️

Ignazio 07

And this is the video that Ignazio promised to Arianna. A truly beautiful gesture, good Ignazio.

I have translated the words of Ignazio.

“Wandering on Instagram I read the message of a girl, who spoke of her grandfather who died a short time ago, told me that he was a songwriter, writer, who had never been lucky, was not known. She sent me the video of his grandfather singing this song, of which he had written only the lyrics and the melody, and none had ever written the music.

I took this thing to heart and gave myself a gift, to be honored to be able to remember this man, Mr. Vincenzo.

Enjoy!”

(in the video Mr. Vincenzo)
Arianna = For you in a special exhibition, Vincenzo.
Vincenzo =  A RIVE MARE (At the seaside) Unpublished.

By publishing the video, Ignazio wrote these words:
Grandparents are only the most beautiful thing in the world .. will be that my grandparents are all up there, looking at us from the sky, but it was the least I could do for grandpa Vincenzo …

Ignazio 08

Ignazio, what can I say, you have a huge heart and a good soul.

Thanks for what you are and what you do.

You are a treasure.

MUSIC THAT UNITES US by Daniela

In these days, Ignazio, Piero and Gianluca, do not make their absence felt. They put online many moments of dialogue, and also of singing, which make us a little forget a little the sad moments we are experiencing.

Just the moments of singing I want to bring together today, starting from their participation, Sunday March 31, at an online concert “MUSICA CHE UNISCE”, of many Italian singers, to raise funds for Civil Protection.

Of course, they sang, each from their homes, GRANDE AMORE. ❤️

I would say that the song went very well, the voices are there and powerful!

In these videos, you understand that the power of the voices is true and not amplified by technical instruments. Here everyone has been able to feel the strength of their individual voices !!

BRAVI! ❤️❤️❤️

And what about this acapella (voice only) execution of IL MONDO, made by Piero during an interview via Skype?
Gorgeous 😘

(Thank you to Viviana Viv for the video.)

But how much sweetness there is in this piece by Lewis Capaldi performed by Gianluca.

Gian your voice is caressing, but also very powerful. Your performances on the piano have improved a lot.

Very good 😘

I was so amazed at this splendid duet by Ignazio and Lidia Schillaci.

Magnificent, their voices are very well united, they blend very well.

Really excellent duet, both very good 😘😘

But I believe that not all of you know Lidia Schillaci. She is a Sicilian singer, exactly from Palermo. She is 36 years old,

In my opinion, she has a beautiful voice, yet, I didn’t even know who she was, it seems incredible, but here in Italy there are many talents who do not have the success due. It’s true, I read that she is in great demand, but certainly not known by most of the Italian audience.

Many compliments Lidia! 😊

Unites 01

This other duet is also fantastic, where Ignazio and Lidia sing “Shallow”. ❤️❤️

Wonderful, I would listen to them endlessly and nice also Ignazio’s comment:
“Well I only miss blue eyes! 📷📷
Besides, I have my Lady Gaga !!” 😁

And here is another video that amazed me: there are three of them: Ignazio, Lidia Schillaci and Nico Arezzo.

The song is the beautiful “That’s What Friends Are For.”

I like all three very, very well. 🤗

Now that we’ve met Lidia, we know the guy with the guitar. He is Nico Arezzo (Domenico Arezzo) is 18 years old and is Sicilian, from Modica.

Maybe not everyone knows that this guy is followed by Ignazio, because before leaving for the American tour, Ignazio opened his own record label, Floki Production, and the first artist that follows is Nico Arezzo, always under the final supervision of Torpedine .

We wish Nico and also Ignazio a deserved success.

Unites 02

This song has just been published on Instagram by Gianluca, really beautiful.

How much sweetness and how much feeling. Bravo Gian! ❤️

Well, I would say that the boys kept us company this time too.

I want to know your opinion on each of these performances.

Also I have a question to ask you, a question that was suggested to me by Regina:
“If Il Volo were to do a duet with another singer (male or female) who would you like to hear with them?”

I await all your opinions.

Daniela

IL VOLO to LA VITA IN DIRETTA by Daniela

Once again Il Volo was a guest of RAI1 on the LA VITA IN DIRETTA (LIVE LIFE) program.

Their testimony is beautiful, here’s what they said.

Lorella Cuccarini, the presenter of the program, announces in connection from their homes, Ignazio, Gianluca and Piero: Il Volo.

Ignazio immediately shows a sheet with the words “Lorella, you are beautiful.”

Lorella immediately says that Il Volo was on tour in the US and they returned, immediately putting themselves in quarantine, so she asks them how they are living these days.

Piero says that the first thing they did on their return, was the self-denunciation to put themselves in voluntary isolation, they are behaving responsibly, because it is the wisest thing to do. The message they have to send is to stay home.
Fortunately, quarantine stimulates their creativity and thanks to social media and technology, they are not so far away.

La Vita 01

Lorella recalls that they participated in a charity event, together with many other Italian singers, in support of an Italy torn by events, and asks what it represented for them.

Ignazio replies that all the artists are making their contribution towards the people who follow them and, beyond their discography, it is nice to be united and be able to sing freely for their fans and all the people who cannot see them now in concert.

La Vita 02

Lorella asks Gianluca how much was missing at the end of their American tour and Gianluca confirms that a week was missing and they had to cancel three concerts.

When they returned home they found a deserted Italy, a truly painful moment and people in these moments need hope.

Gian says that he appreciated the Pope’s words very much and it was heartbreaking to see him in an empty St. Peter’s Square. In addition, Gian also recalls that today April 2 is 15 years since the death of Pope John Paul II, one of the most charismatic popes.

He goes on to say that, we are experiencing a tragic period all over the world, even in America the situation is deteriorating.

Gian recommends attention to guys of their age, says that nobody is omnipotent, nobody is immune, so you have to be responsible.

Gian tells Lorella that the three of them must be an example for the boys of their age, therefore responsibly, for the good of all, one must stay at home. Particularly for older people, and Gian says that he himself has not yet seen his grandfather, who lives near his home.

La Vita 03

The presenter says that Piero, Gianluca and Ignazio are in their cities (one in the south, one in the center and one in the north) and practically represent the whole of Italy, with great differences depending on the area, and therefore asks everyone, how is the situation from them.

Piero says that in Sicily, health facilities are not able to face the difficulties due to the virus, confirms that he and some Sicilian artists have started a fundraiser.

People understood the gravity of the moment. He says that after the fifteen days of isolation are over, he went out to do the swab and found that the streets were empty, so he is proud to have seen that the Italians are responsible people.

La Vita 04

Ignazio says he doesn’t know what the situation is like, because he has always been at home since he returned.

He confirms, as Gian has already said, that we must be responsible and also think of others, stay at home, we do it, also for others, because it takes very little to infect.

Ignazio says he is always at home, he goes to the studio (he made a small recording corner for the music), the dining room, then again to the studio and then to bed.

He says that you have to take advantage of these moments to enjoy the family. He says that he spends more time with his parents, who instead he usually sees little and also advises all young people to do this, because taken from the rhythm of life, many members of the families don’t know each other well.

La Vita 05

Gianluca says that they are privileged, but there are people who are suffering so much and are not even able to shop for food. He would like to be close to all those people and help them, because he reads about people who really need help. He saw that in some places people have organized baskets with food and signs that say “Those who can, put food.” – “Those who cannot, take food.”

The presenters thank Piero, Gianluca and Ignazio very much for the nice words, the beautiful examples they are giving and greet them with affection and admiration.

La Vita 06

Piero, Ignazio and Gianluca, once again, thank you for being as you are. ❤️

Giovanna in Taormina & Lecce 2019!

Finalmente il Primo (e il Secondo) Concerto (Finally, the First and Second Live Concert)

By Giovanna

After Italy and our planet recover from the current viral onslaught, the world may be different.  As Gianluca said in his live videocast last week, when this is over, it may be hard for many people and many things to go back to the way they were.  But we can still look forward to the fact that music and laughter are universal and unstoppable.

In my last submittal, I promised to describe my first Il Volo concert(s) from 2019.  But first, I wanted to recount a funny story from my 2018 trip to Sicily.   That was my fourth hiking or cycling trip in Italy. Due to the travel dates, I knew I would not be able to hear any Il Volo concerts.  I spent the time becoming addicted to the Mediterranean and Ionian coasts of Sicily.

When we first arrived a few days before the start of our hike, I had trouble calling our bed-and-breakfast host near the Palermo Vucceria.  So I ended up pressing the citofono and climbing stairs looking for his suite.  A middle-aged guy in the street, who was a friend of his, called him on the telefonino (cell phone).  While on the phone this buddy was ribbing me in Sicilian, telling Claudio that he better come down quick, because his guests “si stanno impazzendo” (are going crazy) and every other tease he could think of, winking the whole time.  My helper was a typical Sicilian – extraordinarily courteous and kind on the one hand, and ‘nu sperto (smart aleck) on the other.  Then he hugs us and tells us his name is Piero.  I burst out laughing.  Of course, it is.  What else would it be?  (But it’s a common name, right?)

Even wilder was the historian/guide at Segesta a few days later.  He was a little bantam rooster of an athlete in his 20’s.   Black jeans, dark curls, trim beard, soft eyes, deep dark voice, movie actor face.  He announced his name was Gianluca.

I was in tears laughing at this point, and just had to ask him if he sang tenor or baritone.   He pulled me aside and we promptly got into an argument (‘na schariatina) in Sicilian.  Two Sicilians arguing – what else is new?  He insisted that our driver, Maurizio, lied when he said we were Americans.  As short as I am, and with my left hand in the air for every other word, I had to be Italian.  I also learned that this particular Gianluca refers to himself as “Sicilianissimo” (ultimate Sicilian) and considers himself an expert in recognizing his own kind.

I’ve had this happen in a number of places in Italy over the years, where Italians sometimes confuse me for an Italian, not an American.  A few examples:

Near Catania: “Si pare dalla faccia” (It shows on your face).

Rome: “L’accento si senti”  (I hear your accent).

Giardini, Sicily after two days of swimming in the Ionian Sea: “Una verissima Siciliana – nera, nera come ‘na magrebina” (A real Sicilian – dark as the rest of us Mediterraneans.)

Storekeeper in a negozio in Florence:  “You remind me of my mother in Calabria.  I’ll take off 40 euros if you come in the back with me for an espresso e una chiacchierata” (some conversation).”  I told him the last thing I wanted to hear from a handsome young Italian is that I looked like his mother.

Our driver outside Cefalu: “How long since you emigrated from here to the States?”  My answer, “Non ho mai messo piede qua!” (I’ve never set foot here!).

Near Milano:  If you’re a ciclista, you’ll know who the great designer Ernesto Colnago is.  He refused to make me a custom road racing frame years ago.  “Sei Italiana, ma sei troppo bassa. La bici uscira brutta!” (You’re Italian but you’re too short.  The bicycle will come out ugly.)

Eventually I gave up arguing.

I didn’t meet any Ignazios in 2018, but I didn’t need to.  I have two Sicilian-American cousins called Ignazio.  One’s tall, one’s funny.

Despite following Il Volo for years, and even going back and forth to Italy, I never attended a live concert until 2019.  As I mentioned, I returned to Italia to hear them on their home turf in Taormina, Sicily and Lecce, Puglia, both shows in July.  It gave me an excuse to be around the beaches, the white marble architecture, the restored synagogues, and the marketplaces of eastern Sicily and southern Italy for a month.  Americans haven’t discovered these areas, but the northern Italians flock there for vacanze and ferragosto.  I was delighted not to hear a word of English for a month.  Siracusa and Ortigia, with exotic fruit, baking hot sunshine, blinding white marble, noisy markets, singing in the stalls, street signs in Greek and Hebrew, the sparkling Adriatic visible at every turn, make me ubriaca di gioia (drunk with pleasure).  I finally found a place I feel really at home.

Besides, there’s nothing like Sicilian pasta al salmone, and the Pugliese really know how to roll their dark bread dough in black sesame seeds.   And where else do the vending machines along the beach have bottles of Inzolia Sicilian white and Nero d’Avola red instead of Coca Cola?  Antonio, one my limo drivers, told me that Italians have a name for a meal without wine.  They call it colazione (breakfast). E magari, a volte… (Even then, sometimes, too).  Using wine all day is not the case for every Italian since, for example, Piero Barone, and even my landlord in Giardini, sono astemi (don’t drink at all).

Ora Arriviamo al Dunque (Now We Get to the Point)

Jana, Daniela, Pat and others in the Flight Crew reviewed last year’s concerts as they occurred.  I wanted to tell you about some things that didn’t make the web pages or the blogs.  These things will not change, even if the Meet and Greets, Wine and Dines, and whatever else they’re called, come to an end.  I’ve never been to any of those things, anyway.

Aside from their voices and their stage presence, in the short time I was around the Il Volo concert setting, I was most impressed with the humanity and grace of these young men, and what veri gentiluomini (real gentlemen) they can be, when they choose to.  Non fraintendermi!  Don’t get me wrong!  I raised an Italian Jewish son exactly their age.  With young guys, including mine, sometimes they are delightfully charming, and other times “it gets real.”  I suppose these three guys are the same as mine.  Here are some examples of what they can be:

First, my all-time favorite, and Sicily’s greatest mystery writer, Andrea Camilleri, died the Thursday before the Il Volo Taormina concert.  If you’ve ever read Il Commissario Montalbano Mysteries or watched them on TV (starring Luca Zingaretti, Cesare Bocci and Peppino Mazzotta), you know who Camilleri is.   I didn’t hear the news until I went up to Taormina that Friday to buy some paperbacks in the tabbacheria and catch the local gossip in the cafés on Corso Umberto.  Those of us who are Sicilians were still lamenting his death a few nights later at the Il Volo concert.  (Sicilians are really good at that).   During the concert, Piero and Ignazio, Sicilians both, had the extraordinary sensitivity to ask for a few minutes to honor the memory of our Sicilian hero with a farewell aria in the middle of the show.  Lots of hugging and swaying in the audience – but well deserved.

Second, some of you may have seen the 2019 Taormina concert photo of Piero holding a teenaged girl at the left side of the stage, late in the show.  I think I even saw the picture on the Flight Crew page.  What wasn’t obvious is that this very disabled young lady, in her prettiest summer dress and barely able to walk on her brace supports, spent the length of two songs being held by Piero, while he sang his parts.  To take care of this young lady who had trouble standing, Piero had to crouch and sit at the edge of the stage to hold her so she wouldn’t fall, as her caregivers temporarily took her walking equipment away, and he stayed that way a long time.  This brave young lady didn’t want any crutches in her arms; she wanted Piero in her arms, and he obliged her.  I was really touched by the look on his face afterwards, as he sighed with compassion, moved by what this young girl went through to get near him, and watching her struggle on her supports as she left him with her helpers around her.  I didn’t expect a young star to be that human.  In Yiddish we would say What a mentsh! and in Italian Che persona! (What a person he is!)  But of course, if he’s like his coetani (guys his age) there are probably other sides to him.

These are Flashes of Memory and a Few Things to Look Forward to When Italy Recovers

 Snapshots from Taormina Concert

  • Ignazio teasing that every time Gianluca tries to speak Sicilian, he growls like a Mafiusu.

  • Ignazio doing a fake Italian TV commercial with a dial-in phone number to raise money to save Piero’s home village of Naro. Every time the other two interrupt him, he starts the “tape” over.

  • Piero charging up the center aisle to sing at the back of the amphitheater, then unable to get back to the stage because he’s nearly covered in girls.

  • Gianluca completely cranked up, running victory laps back and forth at the front of the stage hand-slapping all the young kids, while everyone in the audience is standing and singing “Volare.”

  • Late night after the concert, people singing Il Volo songs up and down Corso Umberto, even those who didn’t go to the show.

Snapshots from Lecce Concert

  • After centuries of never having public entertainment in the Piazza del Duomo, watching as the stage was being built up each day across from the archbishop’s palace – for Il Volo,

  • Gianluca accidently delaying the show because he left his stage clothes at the hotel. Ignazio joking that they decided to wait for Gianluca’s clothes because it didn’t seem right to make him do an entire concert in front of the Archbishop of Lecce in mutande (in his underwear).

  • Gianluca personally thanking Archbishop Michele Seccia “chi mi ha dato la crisma” (who gave him the oil of anointing at his confirmation 12 years ago), because look what happened to his life since then.

  • Folks watching the show for free from the roof of their apartment building above the piazza teasing Ignazio. Ignazio, always in fine form, yelling at them to go buy a ticket.

  • Gianluca doing a goofy American accent to make fun of how badly Americans pronounce “Arriverderci Roma.”

  • People in front of me betting on whether Gianluca could make it to the end of the show without climbing off the stage to play with a small boy down front. (He didn’t make it to the end).

  • Piero describing how ten years ago they were so young that they were this short . . . except Ignazio, who was this wide . . .

Che Dio vi benedica tutti voi, e anche i ragazzi e le loro famiglie.

May God bless you all, and the guys and their families, too, during this time.

IL VOLO to Storie Italiane by Daniela

Ignazio, Gianluca and Piero, are once again guests online, I translate briefly.

Eleonora Daniele, leads the program on RAI 1, Storie Italiane (Italian Stories), announces the arrival of Il Volo online, with these words:

“Italian artists, known all over the world, are three young, very young, who started from RAI 1.

They represent the new generation of great artists, but not only that, they have made very important appeals for the cities where they live. They are three and only Il Volo: Gianluca, Piero and Ignazio.”

After the greetings, Eleonora asks the boys, how they are experiencing this moment and what message they want to give people.

Gianluca replies that it is a difficult moment for everyone, something that has never been seen, and they try to be an example for young people by giving this message on their social profiles: to be strong, to stay at home, to be responsible, because nobody is immune. There are many people who are suffering not only in Italy, but all over the world.

They also had to cancel concerts and return ten days earlier to stay at home with their families.

So you all have to be responsible, respect above all for many people who are suffering, but also for doctors, nurses, who are saving lives and risking theirs.

Piero says that every morning we wake up looking for good news and this morning we start to glimpse a small light at the end of the tunnel.

This is thanks to our doctors, to the people who are helping us, but also to all of us, in the commitment that we are putting into all this.

The commitment of us artists, thanks to the notoriety, is to spread the messages like that of staying at home.

Piero confirms that Sicily is not well equipped in his hospitals, therefore he has proposed this fundraiser with other artists in order to purchase what is needed.

Ignazio says it is a moment of solidarity.

A great praise to all the doctors and nurses who are helping, they are showing great love, helping many people not knowing them, because they love their job and love their neighbor.

Italy is now more unique than ever, we have to be careful, stay at home, not just think about ourselves, but also about others, altruism is the key in these times.

Eleonora plays the song Hallelujah sung by Ignazio.

I FATTI 01

Then she asks the boys to perform a small song sung by them, and although there are small differences in connection times, the boys sing a verse of Grande Amore.

Ignazio wishes Eleonora well (she is going to have a baby) and she says that she will be a fan of Il Volo, as Mum is already.

Below is the photo of the victory of Sanremo 2015.

A big success.

Piero says that their way of exulting (jumping) is exaggerated and they laugh at this.

Ignazio remembers that at the Billboards, Gianluca was a grasshopper that kept jumping.

Gianluca says it is difficult to control emotions.

In the interview is shown the video of the victory of Sanremo and Eleonora says that they made Italy’s dream come true at that moment.

I FATTI 02

Piero says that they owe everything to the Italian cultural and musical heritage.

Eleonora introduces the video of Sanremo 2019, MUSICA CHE RESTA.

I FATTI 03

So she shows the videos of the American tour.

IL VOLO San Diego

After the video, Eleonora asks if any of the three found love.
Piero asks if she has another question …..
Ignazio says it’s nice to go around and sing …..
Gianluca does not speak, only a small smile. 😁

Last message from Piero, who publicly asks all people who arrive in Sicily, to communicate to the authorities their presence and to undergo quarantine (15 days) in isolation. This is very important and they also did it when they came back from America, and it is a fundamental thing.

Eleonora thanks Piero for remembering this, then thanks and affectionately greets Piero, Gianluca and Ignazio. She then announces the event that will be tonight, a concert with the online presence of many singers including IL VOLO.

….. and what about this beautiful Ave Maria that Piero gave us yesterday?

Thanks Piero. ❤️

And what about this video posted today by Ignazio?

“I wish that together we would remember, but above all we would not forget, who will not be able to see the end. It is only a minute and a half to pray together with you, in the way I prefer.”

Soon it will end….and a hug, a caress, a kiss will be the most PRECIOUS that life gave us.

Simply ….. you are UNIQUE !!!
