The concerts were memorable, every person who was fortunately able to participate, still has in his eyes the beautiful images and in his ears, the lovely voices of Piero, Ignazio and Gianluca.
The web has been flooded with videos and photos that pass, step by step, every moment of our beloved boys.
There have been moments, however, that I consider exceptional, and have been stopped by a video and a series of photos that I now propose to you.

This is the moment before the start of the concert in Taormina.
This is a gesture, that the boys, always make before every concert ……… and it is simply WONDERFUL, this gesture expresses all the friendship, affection and harmony that exists between these guys.
Surely, having grown up together, away from home, has built in them a harmony that not all groups of singers have.
In this mini-tour, there were many small episodes, where the boys, they helped each other, had an altruistic support among themselves, a concrete help of VERYFRIENDS.
I get emotional, every time I see this gesture of theirs, confirming a deep friendship.

These shots, all performed in Taormina, show all the affection that IL VOLO has towards its fans, you look with how much love, they approach and do not deny a gesture, a photo, a kiss.
Surely these gestures will have sent into raptures these lucky fans, some of them with disabilities, managed to get closer thanks to the fact that, in Taormina there are no barriers before the stage.
Direct contact with Ignazio, Gianluca and Piero, who with great affection embrace the fans, take children in their arms, they come close for shots in the foreground.
But how much sweetness do these shots ??
These guys are certainly artists of great skill, their voices are magnificent, but in them there is also something else that we like, they love people, this affection that hardly they deny to others, and this makes them in our eyes, even more special.
They love people and people reciprocate
This is IL VOLO, these are GIANLUCA, PIERO and IGNAZIO.
Now I translate a part of what my friend Melina wrote and that, in my opinion, has precisely hit the target, to you then the comment.
“The guys in concert in the Greek Theater of Taormina seem to transform themselves, expand into a different and bigger dimension, both in singing and in jokes. They are safer, more passionate, more emotional, more joyful. I wondered: will it be the spirit of the ancient musicians and comedians, who still hovers in the theater and permeates the millennial stones to operate this miracle? To pervade, to seize and to transfigure those who know how to recognize and welcome? Memories, which are not lost but remain impalpable and wait for the right time and the right people to be affected? Who knows !! It is certain that only those who have the appropriate sensitivity can perceive this subtle malia, Piero, Ignazio andGianluca this sensitivity, they have it at will, but also those who follow them: you are “our” audience, our family, they have declared proud at the beginning of the concert. And true, the fans of Il Volo are different from all the others, they have a singular feeling and in addition to admire and esteem the boys artistically, they feel for them a deep sincere affection and a lot of tenderness, this means that the protagonists are not only those on stage, but that everything is a continuous exchange of emotions, emotion and happiness between those who perform and those who assist … indeed no, participate! And at the end when this exchange stops, it’s almost a pain and we start waiting for the next time!”

And finally the big day of MY concert of my guys arrived … yes because that’s how I feel this event, a concert, all for me, performed by my dear guys Piero, Ignazio and Gianluca.
First of all I tell you that it was a FANTASTIC concert !!!!!
The things I want to tell you are many, but let’s go in order.
We arrived in Marostica in the afternoon of a very hot day. The soundcheck was scheduled for 6 pm.
I had never seen Marostica before and I must tell you that it is a beautiful little fortified city, that is, crossed by the boundary walls that had to protect the city.
Now, these walls enclose the city center and the beautiful Piazza degli Scacchi where there will be the concert.
Piazza degli Scacchi is so called because it has the shape of a large chessboard, where every year there is a game, made with human chess.
At 18: all ready in front of the entrance, check the pass to us, there is an incredible heat, unfortunately we will wait outside for an hour, because the security was not yet present, the guys are already on stage, we see nothing but we hear them.

Someone had the nice idea to record at least the voices.
And while we waited for them to open their doors, look who I met? Wendy and Joanie who have just finished Naro’s tour with RoseMarie.
When they finally opened the gates, they told us that it was absolutely forbidden to make videos or photos. Only the people of the fan club could do it.

You could not get close to the boys who finished the rehearsals with the orchestra, and they greeted us.
And finally I take possession of my place.

The square is bordered by houses of at least 3 floors, the house that is on the right of the stage, has a large balcony on the first floor, and that balcony is full of people watching the concert.
Ignazio starts by telling Piero that he is studying to become a surveyor, and so he will raise the walls, so there will be no more evaders …… because these people are watching the concert without paying the ticket. Everyone laughs.
Piero then says that these people have bought houses, so they are in their homes and can watch the concert.
Ignazio says to Piero: “what’s the reasoning?” So I buy a house inside the football stadium, so I can watch all the games for free “.

Ignazio asks Wendy and Joanie to get up and then adds “in practice, they, their retirement, instead of going to the casino, come to our concerts”.
Ignazio adds a sentence in Sicilian dialect and Gianluca says: “Ignazio was born in Bologna”

What do you want me to tell you …… it was a FANTASTIC, WONDERFUL, UNIQUE concert.
They are exceptional professionals, good, nice, beautiful, we say “beautiful outside and inside”.
I tried not to lose any detail, only to be able to tell it to you.
Too bad not to have been able to approach them.
But it does not matter, there will be a next time and maybe I will be more fortunate ….. but what I say, I was already lucky, I saw a beautiful concert performed by our treasures, IGNAZIO, PIERO and GIANLUCA, our beloved IL VOLO .
This post is dedicated to all those who have not followed IL VOLO from the beginning (including me), but certainly will be a welcome review for those, however, followed Piero, Ignazio and Gianluca since 2009.
Mamma Mia!!! They were really small, almost do not know each other, how much sweetness, three children.
In this video we are in December 2010, a Sunday television program called “Domenica In”.
I had never really seen this, a participation in the PEQUENOSGIGANTES program, in Mexico.
Really sweet with these little children.
Same year 2011 but Italy, still guests at “DOMENICA IN”, tribute to Ennio Morricone.
Year 2012, our little treasures, are growing, notable transformation of Ignazio.
Here they are in Pietralcina, at the charity event UNA VOCE PER PADREPIO.
Same year 2012 still a charity event, this time in France: TELETHON.
Year 2013, for the 40th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards.
Year 2014 in Moscow, in concert with Toto Cutugno.
Same year 2014 Arena di Verona, in duet with Anastacia.
We have reached the year 2015, Sanremo and the victory, and immediately after the Italian tour. This video was filmed in Naples during the rehearsals of the concert in Piazza Plebiscito. Impressive to see the people present at the rehearsals and who will remain until evening under a scorching sun.
The boys almost can not try, but the affection of the public is really beautiful,an incredible chorus of voices.
Of course they have come a long way in singing, in life and in our hearts!

I will be honest and say, I don’t usually have time to read everything, but Jane sent this to me in hopes I had time to do it. Unfortunately, I didn’t quite make it and sent it back to her. OMG!! I seriously have tears in my eyes, so much so, that I can barely see straight enough to type! Those words from Ignazio, so honest, true, passionate. I just want to give him the biggest, greatest hug and kiss ever!! Ok, the tears are now running down my cheek…
It is true, he has suffered much for his young age. To think that people tell him he is a “fool?” I think, and hope, the better translation though is “the funny one?” 😊 I really hope the Americans don’t call him a fool? I always knew I liked him the best and the more I read about him and the beautiful words he says, the more sure I am. I know when I see him, I always say he is my favorite and I do think he really cares when he says “aww….” 😊 It is so sad though, we get such little time to talk to them at the meet/greets – we don’t have time to tell them how we really feel sometimes. He always seems to comment that people don’t get to “know him” for who he is. I’m sure there are MANY fans that would do anything to get to know him personally! I know I would!
Every time I’m feeling down in the dumps about the site, or the guys, or my life in its current state, I read something like this and the passion is once again renewed. I can’t fight the tears and emotions that are expressed. His honesty is so raw, so innocent and touches me right through the heart! Not sure about the other two, but I think he really expresses the humility the group always professes. He still doesn’t realize how awesome he really is. Maybe that is why he sings with such passion and vulnerability? I so feel him…. Here come the tears again! Maybe we really were connected in another lifetime?

Yes, our Ignazio Boschetto received the SHAKESPEARE THEATER AWARD 2018 award.
The event was not at all publicized because it was reserved only for students of the theatrical academy of Palermo. An event that took place in a very informal way and where Ignazio was able to meet and give advice to young students.
These are some statements made by Ignazio.
“My goal is to make my art known, I want to get there in a healthy way, it’s all about consistency, there’s no right or wrong, then it’s important to enjoy what you have, but never be satisfied.
Sacrifices, I have made them and I will do it, but if you want something, if you choose it, you do it.”
“I still remember my first time on a stage, a country bullfight, I was excited because the audience had more than 250 people and – says Ignazio – I forgot the words of the song that I had to sing, I watched the floor all the time.
Now, I face the stage in a different way, I’m afraid afterwards, my hands and legs tremble at the finished show.”
“We are establishing a label of our own, we – continued Ignazio – we were lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time, I owe a lot to my parents who always believed in me, but never forced me to a life that maybe I did not want .
To be able to feel good, you must always treasure the people who love you.”
The afternoon with the students of the Shakespeare Theater Academy in Palermo was very pleasant, alternating with questions to which Ignazio always answered with sincerity and simplicity. There were musical moments, especially duets and choral moments.
In this video, Ignazio gives advice to emerging artistic talents.
“We are in Sicily, in Palermo, and I wanted to send a message to all the Sicilians in particular to the guys like me, who are chasing their dream, in all fields, singing, acting, dancing, even in the working career.
We live in a land that is Sicily, one of the most beautiful lands in the world, a very rich territory, unfortunately maybe the management is not the best, but we can make this country with our art, something beautiful.
I, in my small (way), with Piero, my travel companion, we are trying with our art, and I want to entice everyone to produce, do a lot for this land and above all give a smile and maybe a better day to those who listen, or who sees you.
So a big hug and hope to see you soon in some concert.”
In this other video, Ignazio talks about his physical appearance.
“I was 120 kg. in practice I was an arancino al ragù, with meat, now I’m with pistachio, with the tip (the arancini with meat sauce are round, those with pistachio, pointy).
Not everyone is lucky enough to be thin (and he jokes with the boy at the piano).
I know people, but also I personally, there was a period that I did not accept myself, let’s say you’re in the eye of the storm, they see you all, so to feel better, you look in the mirror, and then I’m always been very self-critical, and so many times I have suffered from this. The best was when we had to go get some clothes, and then, we went toArmani’s shop and the clothes were too small, we looked in the big sizes and those were too big.
So in practice I was almost alone in my underwear and socks. But then all started from a fever, I began to lose weight, I liked it, and then lost 35 kg all at once.
However, in 2018 women like a little bacon, so I do not have to lose weight anymore, I’m joking.
Even today, however, I do not like myself, because we are a bit ‘all like that, we never like each other, but this is a stimulus to do something, like the gym, which in a year I went at least 5 times. (everyone laughs)
They (referring to the public) did not understand one thing in training, it is important to rest, to me, like to rest the muscles, and then be more active. (laughs)

You can not describe a person on television because you do not know him.
Speaking of Gianluca, which may be the one for which the girls are more crazy, he is handsome. During interviews, it may seem like the most haughty one, the one that attracts the most attention,
He may seem the most haughty, the one who keeps his distance, but it is not always easy to be yourself in front of the camera.
However he really is the best person in the world, and I would like a 10 percent of his determination, because when he wants to do something and thinks it’s the best thing for him, he’s determined, very determined.
Piero, on the other hand, is fiscal (physical), he is very strict with himself, he has a passion for opera, he is studying to improve his lyrical technique, and he goes back and forth from Bologna because there, we have the teacher. He too is very determined and knows what he wants to do, he wants to do the classic opera and I often tell him that I can one day be in the front row listening to an entire opera where you play the tenor part.
And then there’s me, I’m the fool (the funny one) of the situation, and I tell you the truth, sometimes I suffered from this.
It’s bad when at the end of the concerts, they come to greet you and say: you are the onewith the lyric voice (to Piero), you are the one with the romantic voice (to Gianluca) and you are the fool. At the beginning I suffered a bit of this, but I have always tried to give my best, and in the end I managed to change a bit, the idea to people.
I am a person who has no filters, for me cameras or not, I am always the same.
(intervenes Tony Colapinto) Not only cameras or not, but that there are 5000 people in the theater or three at home, for him it is the same.
I was in Taormina during a concert, there were many foreigners, very many, from anywhere in the world, from Australia, from Russia, from Brazil, from America, people who laughed, even if they did not understand, what he had said, or at least I suppose.
Ignazio = Then to me, I do not like to talk about myself, in the end, I let people judge and that’s it, I do not talk anymore.
