Greetings from Zdena
February and March were so busy for our site that I had to hold some nice articles back. Here’s one.
I am not editing this very much. I only wish I had as fine a command of a second language. It’s perfect the way it is.

Hi friends, maybe you have some have heard of the BAMBINO DI PRAGA or JESULUS PRAGENSIS or INFANT JESUS OF PRAGUE. Original 48 cm statue is located in Czech Republic in Prague at the Church of Virgin Mary the Victorious. Architect of the temple was probably Giovanni Marie Filippi – Italian by birth. Copies of the statues are found in all parts of the world. Statuette comes from Spain and according to legend, it gave St TERESA of JESUS – the founder of the Discalced Carmelitas – but it is a long history…
Carmelite sisters regularly Bambino dress – Catholics still bring a new dress – Bambino has more than 100 different outfits. Visit the church every year about 2 million faithful who come to pray and give thanks for being heards pleas. Pope Benedict XVI visited Prague September 26, 2009 year and gave Infant golden crown. Jesu now has three different crowns.
My personal plea to Infant Jesus is that all friends which you go on a long journey to be able to spend a few moments with our beloved boys returned health and well in their homes!
All together ask weirs to protect G+I+P on their travels supplied them with strength, energy, health and so on. Of course for their families and all the great people around them who prepared them and ensures great career. And if any of you visited Prague do not forget to visit also our BAMBINO.
JESU can have had to do miracles and meet request cordially greets!

More New Year’s Wishes

(Earlier I asked Zdena if everyone in her country learned English. Here is her answer ~M)
It is the end of the year and I send the promised song. To your question about English today only briefly: until 1945 /end WW 2/IT was compulsory in schools and German. Until 1989 was compulsory Russian. English well spoken by very few people. I speak Russian,German and English poorly. I had to stop teaching but they are sad memories. Now I´m trying but learning is slower and harder. Since 1989 the school teaches English as well as in Slovak.
Now a few words to the song promised : ANCORA is also my favorite but the text is complicated and so only a brief synopsis how I did it.
At Christmas at the cottage girl sitting by the fireplace looking into the fire and remembering the good times with her lover from the first acquaintance when he was 15 years util last meeting. I chose the photos that I like best.
IN THE NEW YEAR 2016 I WISH YOU TO BE THE HAPPIEST IN ALL YOUR LIFE.
SINCERELY YOURS ZDENA.

(I have to add this…Being around when a flashmob breaks out is on my bucket list! ~Marie)
Start the New Year enjoying music and smiles viewing an Italian Flash Concert below. The concert start fairly slow and continues with rousing music and appreciation by the audience!☺ Italians really show their enthusiasm for the music.

WHAT? A FEW MORE DAYS! NOoooo!
YEP, a very few; and I have a feeling that some of you may be stuck right here!
Of course, the ultimate goal is here instead right?
So……here are some suggestions that could help. Great for the night before “THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS” eve. Huh? Whenever is good too! #1 A warm cup of tea, cocoa, cider, or your choice, hummm! #2 Pull on some warm footies. #3 Grab a fuzzy lap blanket, a comfy chair or sofa, and sit yourself down! (Preferably in front of a fire, but on a sofa will do nicely as well). Good, now just take a deep breath,… or several. NICE!
Next, since you can’t frown and smile at the same time, I don’t think, here are a couple of cute things to bring on that smile, and begin to address the stress. (Hey, it rhymes.)
Now, I found this video. It’s very informative, and entertaining. Christmas Traditions elsewhere, including Italy, (of course).
Okay, it’s time for music! A little nostalgia for Christmas? Enjoy!
Now our guys. A little while back, but beautiful. Watch each of them closely. This is one of my favorites because of their intensity, and the very apparent inner respect with which they regard each other.
Hope this has allowed the beauty of what Christmas is meant to be, to shine bright, and bring you peace. Now it’s time to wish you a very joyous, yet thoughtful……
MERRY CHRISTMAS AND BUON NATALIE!
I do have one more thing to share. I wrote this in December 1970. It is one of my very first attempts at writing poetry. Hope you like it.
CHRISTMAS WISHES
A Christmas card felt sad the day that she was picked to bring,
her Christmas greeting, warm and true, fore she wished that she could sing.
Just like a dove in early morn, a song so sweet and clear,
announcing to a waking world, a bright new day is here.
She wished she could express the thoughts, behind her printed words,
and feel the gratefulness that’s felt, but of course, that was absured!
No, she would simply have to make the best of what she had,
for after all, to bring some joy, was certainly not bad.
She knows the one receiving it, will feel within their heart,
the glowing warmth, her message has endeavored to impart.
And even though it’s Christmas, a time so very dear,
her wishes are sincerely wished, each day throughout the year.
