“I’m beside myself with joy and I want to try right away to share it with you and with the other IL VOLO’s fans.
Well, this afternoon the most important Sunday’s RAI broadcast interviewed at length Placido Domingo and he said that after that he, Carrera and Pavarotti had formed the “THREE TENORS” many imitators were born as “THE THREE BARITONES” the “THREE BASSO” etc. but almost all have been unsuccessful.
Instead there are currently three guys who deserve to collect their inheritance. These three guys are “IL VOLO”. He said they’are fantastic and that he was very happy to have recorded a song with them.
He also said that all his grandchildren adore IL VOLO, go to their concerts and have made friends with them. IL VOLO has a new and important Ambassador.

Maria, I was so curious to see (or was it hear?) the actual interview that I went rummaging around yesterday. I did a search on RAI Replay and on YouTube and Mundial. Nothing yet. Do you think it will be accessible as a recording to review at some time? If so, any ideas where we could view or hear it?

Jeanine, there was a video on Il Volo Mundial Facebook yesterday and this morning of the interview. It was, of course, all rapidly spoken Italian, which made it quite difficult to understand since I am not a native Italian speaker. Maria’s explanation greatly clarified what was said – and indeed this is wonderful news! The joy certainly is contagious…
and the acclaim for Our Guys is well deserved! Gianluca, Piero, Ignazio – fly ever higher! We’ll be with you all the way!

I am thrilled for the boys. I’ve always enjoyed Placido Domingo and how wonderful to express his beautiful compliments to Il Volo boys. I am trying to listen to the St. Frances Assisi concert again, but cannot retrieve it on Rai as I did last week?? Yes, we are ALL in trouble because I, for one, am in love with the boys for a long time now.. Thank you for all the updates…love you. ♥

Last night I wanted to listen to a program (something else), so I put the Saint Francis of Assisi concert on silent and simply watched the beautiful heartfelt, smiling faces, glorious architecture, and delighted audience. And in the process, I saw an incredible moment where Gianluca had his eyes closed and seemed to be transported by Piero’s beautiful, powerful note. I’ve seen Gianluca do this before. It was priceless!

On the subject of this post, HELP?…
I have *tried* to view and listen to the interview of Placido Domingo more than 20 times. I’ve also tried 2 different browsers and installing SilverLight, restarting the browsers, clearing the cache, resetting the browser, refreshing the page, restarting my machine, “zapping the PRAM”, and trying different times of day. Every time the player freezes or flips me back to the beginning. I’ve tried letting the show play through. I’ve tried scooting it a bit forward at a time, allowing the buffering. I’ve never been able to get past the 2nd interview. I’m guessing Maestro Domingo’s interview is last of the 4. Has anyone had luck viewing, and if so, what browser and any other tips??

Jeanine, I have no problem using IE and Firefox. The interview with Domingo starts at 01:09:10. Watch it quick – Rai may move the show to a new link that will take us some time to locate.
Thanks so much, Michele! It really helps to know what time Maestro Domingo’s interview starts. I tried Safari, Firefox, and now Chrome. I have the distinct feeling I’m not meant to watch it.

Lijoy, I just watched O Holy Night again. What an incredibly precious moment when Piero sustains those notes and Gian is totally transported, perhaps in utter awe or simply filled with the glorious moment. Wow. To watch and listen, Time Stops.

And I tried scooting the RAI play slider right to 1:09:10. It worked for a while tonight! I discovered that when the counter went to 00, sometime if I waited, it would scoot back to where I was viewing. I got to see Domingo’s wonderful smile when speaking about Maestro Pavarotti, as well as about IL VOLO. To tell you the truth, Michele, last night I had given up on getting to view it, and today I wanted so much to see it, most of all to make all your efforts worthwhile. Your generosity overflows! Thank you!
