TUTTI PER UNO (under the rain) by Daniela

May 1st, Arena di Verona, the first of two Il Volo concerts –  TUTTI PER UNO and I was there!!!

MAGNIFICENT! 💗💗💗

This single word encompasses everything and must make you understand in a moment my personal opinion on what I have seen, and even if we have seen a beautiful show under an incessant rain, it was wonderful, but now as usual I describe everything from the start.

Unfortunately the forecasts predicted rain and cold for the evening of the concert, but, as usual, we hoped it wasn’t like that.
Instead, all predictions have sadly came true.
The morning started with big clouds and some light rain but nothing special.
Some friends who were already in Verona wrote to me that it was cloudy but not raining and so I was very hopeful for the evening.
As the time to go to Verona approached, the clouds became more and more and it started to rain, a light but insistent drizzle.
We left for Verona, me, my husband, my son’s mother-in-law and Kirsten from Denmark, who came especially for the concert.
Shortly after the finish we entered the Arena and under the ancient vaults, sheltered, all the people put on rain ponchos, in short, we all seemed hooded but we all took our seats and waited for the beginning of the show, unfortunately the rain became more and more insistent.

I tell you right away that I took a few photos and a couple of short videos, because it was difficult under the rain and then I thought after that there would be a good TV shoot.
Piero, Ignazio and Gianluca entered the stage, and………. boy, what an entrance, what a fantastic scenography, all very well organised. They started right away with Granada, but not the usual song, or rather, the usual song but sung in three different ways, right away it was clear that Gianluca, Ignazio, and Piero wanted to demonstrate three different styles, three ways of singing the same song, in fact Piero interpreted in a classic way, then Gianluca in a more swing way and Ignazio in a more pop way, beautiful!! Their clothes were also different and respected these styles, Piero very elegant in a classic way. Gianluca with a full leather suit and Ignazio with a very baggy and soft suit that didn’t do him full justice.

I had prepared a pen and paper to write down the title of each song, and you will have understood that I could not do anything, but there were so many songs, three and a half hours of show without any interruptions and with our boys always present on the stage.
There were a lot of guests, but they didn’t take time away from our boys who duetted with each of them, Italian songs, many unknown to you, but it would be the same if they were new songs.
Some duets have been really fantastic, sweet and important and when there will be the television shooting I will explain better.
Knowing then that Ignazio, Gianluca and Piero believed a lot in this hard work, which was organized entirely by them, I felt particularly proud of the three of them.
Casual, beautiful, kind, and extremely good, they have shown so much talent, so much skill and to be able to range in different styles and not be relegated to performing pieces only for “mature people”, as the Italian audience often thinks, well done, well done !!!
Some parts touched the heart, for what was said and how some songs were sung, but, as promised I’ll explain better later, because some songs have really special lyrics and our boys especially felt this from the bottom of their hearts.
I am referring to Il Volo’s duet with IRAMA, a young Italian singer-songwriter. He presented his song dedicated to his missing grandmother in Sanremo, these words were also perfect for Ignazio and Piero, in fact all four performed the song.
“Wherever you are, wherever I am, in every gesture I will look for you. If you will not there, I will understand it and in silence I will listen to you”, these are the beautiful words of the refrain, which Ignazio sang placing his hand on his heart.❤
The choice of songs was varied, but also modern, all songs that have deep meanings and which I will explain well later.
Ignazio used his beautiful and very high voice to perform songs sung by women, women like Whitney Houston and in some moments he showed his rock side by performing songs by Loredana Bertè, accompanying himself on the guitar.

Piero duetted a splendid MISERERE with Mario Biondi, performed the Cavalleria Rusticana solo and the toast of Traviata in duet with the beautiful and talented Aida Garifullina.
Gianluca dedicated his voice to Elvis, but he also remembered the Beatles and amazed me with the duet with soprano Aida Garifullina singing a splendid Angels.
But these are just a few small examples, because the songs, the duets, the solos were very many and then Il Volo, united, also sang Grande Amore, A chi mi dice, Musica che resta, My way,  Ancora, Il Mondo, Caruso,  L’amore si muove, Ecstasy of Gold with the choir, in short, lots and lots of music quality.
It was a different concert, but let me tell you, a big step forward our young men have proven to be very good showmen, as well as excellent performers and their voices have always been in the foreground, even with the numerous guests. Even the presence of the Canale 5 presenter was not at all invasive of the time and the little monologue of the actor Edoardo Leo, well done.

As I told you I have made very few videos, but I don’t want to spoil the surprise, there are already many videos on Facebook or YouTube, but wait and you will have the whole show perfectly filmed and explained by me.
I also want to tell you that on this particular evening I was able to notice, and surely Piero, Ignazio and Gianluca also understood it, the great love that the fans of Il Volo have for their favorites, because they resist for a total of 4 hours under an incessant rain and even cold, means to love them very much. And il Volo understood this message, because the following day they wrote:

Thank you Verona, that was wonderful!🙏🏻

Despite the rain that stayed with us for the whole show, you welcomed us and supported us from start to finish with incredible warmth.🤩

We are three very lucky guys and we love you!💗

We’ll see you tomorrow, Wednesday May 3rd for the second “Tutti Per Uno” show, here at the Verona Arena!

The only complaint, the rain, incessant. ☔ This made me very sorry, not only for the discomfort, but for the fact that the audience was unable to fully demonstrate its approval through applause and standing ovations, impossible to get up and the applause was there but under the poncho, really too bad about that!
And now I want to remove a small pebble, because before the concert, when the names of the guests were published, there were many, very many boring and insistent comments protesting for a concert where Il Volo would not have given its best due of the numerous guests, even some offended fans said they wouldn’t come or they would to selling the ticket, and that they was  sadness at feeling betrayed.
A good pull on the ears would be good for these people, because they didn’t believe in Il Volo, which has never betrayed us, which has never offered us bad things!!!!
Of course, as I said at the beginning, this is my personal opinion, and when there’s a television video, you’ll tell me yours too.
Another important aspect of the Il Volo concert is the possibility for me to meet Flight Crew friends who live far from Italy, but who have come to Italy for their concerts.
The rain prevented some of these meetings, but some happened all the same.
Kirsten from Denmark

Jolanta from Poland
Susan from the U.S.
And then our beautiful nonna Maura, even she, 93 years old, held out until the end of the concert.
I also met Judith from Canada, then Laura and Ugo from Trieste, but I wasn’t able to take a picture with them.
I’m sorry I didn’t meet Maija and her daughter from Minnesota, and our Chinese friend Keisyuu who lives in Rome.
Il Volo is also this, it unites friends from all over the world.
I’m closing like this, concert at the top and now there will be the second part, with lots of other songs, because the program won’t be the same.
Thank you Ignazio, Piero and Gianluca for your beautiful voices and for always being so good!!! 💗💗💗
Daniela 🤗😁

  1. Daniela, I had to drop everything and write to you. I only got as far as “Miserere.” My God! (Is it alright to say that?) I got chills that haven’t gone away.
Thank you so much for including this and for everything you do for us.

  3. Thank you so much Daniela for your beautiful telling of our beloved Il volo’s latest concert. I’m sure they put on a magnificent show Despite the rain they shine bright. 🌞🌞🌞 Their voices touch our hearts & souls ❤️❤️❤️

  4. OMG Daniela, what a show that was! It is one of my biggest regrets that I was not able to be there🥲. I never had a doubt that it would be so fantastic. (So sorry about the rain). I trust our boys and knew they would never let their fans down. To those “fans” who said they would not buy a ticket to see Il Volo with other performers, I say, eat your words. They were the best Italy has to offer. BTW, I did not care for Ignazio’s suit. I see that he changed it for the second concert, yay! Thank you to Pat for putting this labor of love together for us. Thank you to Daniela for everything. Ciao.

    1. Being a harden/devoted fan of these talented three, it’s frustrating not to be able to enjoy what appears to be an upcoming television special on our airways in the US. I anxiously wait for snippets on Instagram and your blog. Hopefully there will be a Public Television (PBS) special for us here in the US. I know it’s important to celebrate their heritage and be so loved and accepted by their own. But know we love them too.

      1. Birdie, don’t worry, as soon as it’s broadcast on Canale 5, a friend will make the version visible to you too and I’ll comment on it at length, also translating the speeches and beautiful songs. You just have to have a little patience

    2. RoseMarie, it was really too bad you weren’t here, the show deserved to be seen in person.
I was annoyed by those comments made before seeing, but I have already read the comments of the same people, after they have seen the concert and are enthusiastic….they are forgiven.

  5. I cannot believe that some fans got upset. From the beginning all three told everyone that it would be different and focused on their individual voices, and loves. Different is good for everyone.

  6. I have to add to my previous comment that I can’t wait to be able to hear Ignazio sing the whole song ” I Will Always Love You.” It takes courage to sing this the way the magnificent Whitney Houston did. I loved this little piece that you posted for us.

    1. Right, Gail!! I would love to hear the whole song in his magnificent voice. Dol

    2. i absolutely loved that song by Ignazio!! I only hope they will put that in their concerts !! It would be a dream come true to see and hear him sing that in person!!

  7. My dear Danelia. These concerts were absolutely phenomenal. Our three angels are so amazing and talented. I can’t express how proud I am of them. They took everything to the next level and beyond. I was so excited to hear some new music and certainly not disappointed. Thank you so much for sharing your experience and your beautiful words. ❤️❤️❤️

  8. Just WONDERFUL! Wish i could have been there and to meet nona Maura would have been the icing on the cake. Hugs, Dol

  9. Oh God! I been there all the way from Florida, Wednesday, no rain, still goose bumps just thinking back, what the concert it was!! In the middle, sky opened and we had full moon looking over us till end of the concert. My fifth live, the absolute best, sorry we did not have Aida Wednesday which I adore, but we had others, it looks our guys are zeroing on their future, Piero definitely has operatic plans, Gianluca more of Presley pop performer, and our favor Ignacio ???
    Love your writing,
    Irene

    1. Irene, I’m so glad you came and enjoyed it. Now I understand why when Gianluca came in with Aida he said: “Last week you sang with Piero, tonight you sing with me”. Evidently Aida was only there that evening, but there will be one duet for each evening on TV

    2. IJ really do hope Piero goes down the operatic path, he is far too good a tenor not to. The world is his oyster where opera is concerned. I know I am biased, I won’t deny it, but then opera is my first love, so I know talent when I hear it.

Piero’s voice was the one who really got to me. Granted I do like Gianluca, and more so Ignazio, but for me they have always played second fiddle, so to speak, compared to Piero.

Just in case Thordis reads this. Yes I have translated all three parts of the book. Ignazio had me in tears several times, as did Gianluca.

      1. Yes Roz, it was very nice to be able to hear Piero’s beautiful voice several times in new solos and duets, he has studied a lot and deserves this to be recognized.

I have finished translating Piero’s part, but, apart from the last two chapters, much was a repetition of the first book, instead Ignazio and Gianluca have only added new and very introspective things.

      2. Job’s an gud’un with the book. I’m sure you found the hours translating it very worthwhile. Tears? Unbelievable from someone living in Yorkshire. You must be getting soft in your old age.

At the risk of insulting your ears and personal taste, Gianluca is the best singer. Although he’s no Matt Monro.

  10. Thanks a million Daniela for a speedy – but firstly a brilliant review on this concert. I agree fully with each and every word you are writing. I feel exactly the same way in all aspects! You know: Great minds think alike” ;-). Honestly, you have said it all perfectly and exactly in the same way that I would have expressed it. So actually there is only very little I can add. Once again thank you for taking the time to do this – and for finding all these great videos – and thank you to you Pat for setting it all up so swiftly.

And once again Daniela – thank you from the bottom of my heart for the very warm welcome with which I was met by you and yours –I was overwhelmed with the warmth and love you showed me. You made my little trip to Italy an unique experience in all ways – and needless to say, it was a joy to experience our beloved guys together. Sharing a common passion. Well, we got soaking wet, but we had a fantastic time together at Arena di Verona and the show was brilliant! And IL VOLO can something special – bring people together from all corners of the world, hence it was a great pleasure to meet a number of other FlightCrew members and other fans, I have met on Facebook . Only sad that the rain did it impossible to walk around and find and greet more fans that no doubt were there as well. Next time..

I have to withdraw any disbelief I may have expressed as to the special concept of this concert – of course they delivered and much more! I had no idea that the show would last for 3½ hrs., but that meant that the guys had more than ample time to sing their “good old” beloved songs unitedly – just as usual – as well as a large number of individual soli. And as a value added “bonus” we were gifted with lovely songs/duets and appearances by local famous Italian artists giving the show an extra dimension. For IL VOLO it was likewise a great opportunity to show that they are so much more than “just” IL VOLO – that they are capable of singing a much broader range of musical genres than most people anticipate and that they fit into any musical situation. Add to that great showmen! So a big KUDOS to the guys for a well performed show! They did most certainly let nobody down – in the contrary! We need to have faith in them at all times.

Not to bring any further spoilers for those of you who has the opportunity to watch the two upcoming TV-shows on Canale 5 end this month – I shall likewise limit myself in not revealing too much and let it up to you to make up your own opinions – but I should like to put emphasis on just a few of the songs that got to my heart. Namely Gianluca singing a duet with the Russian opera singer Aida – “Guarding Angels” and likewise Piero doing a bit of “La Traviata” with her. Both stunningly performances and beautiful in all aspects. Aida sings fantastically and was a perfect match for our guys plus looking extremely beautiful in a breathtaking pink dress. These two performances were highlights in the show. Ignazio surprised us with yet a unique personal interpretation of a song by a huge female singer – none the less than one of Whitney Houston’s enormous hits. And he nailed it! OMG who would ever dare take on one of her songs…. Well, our Ignazio and wow! Piero proved once again that his opera studies most definitely have not been in vain – he is probably the one of the guys who has evolved the most as to his voice – and did he ever sing some new beautiful arieas! Finally, Gianluca took us back in time once again – to the 60th/70th – daring a Beatles medley. Of course he did it superbly – so you have something to look forward to hearing/seeing.

Well, I wasn’t going to write anything – LOL he he – but once I get started I just cannot stop myself as there is so much I would like to share with you. So please bear with me.

Love and greetings – Kirsten, Denmark

    1. Dear Kirsten, It was so nice to be able to share those days and a beautiful concert together. We walked for a long time, we laughed, we got wet to the core, but everything was beautiful and fun too!!

    2. You are most welcome, Kirsten. I’m glad you had a good time despite the rain!

  11. Thank you Daniela for the review of the concert. Obviously I cannot comment on everything as I didn’t see it, but what I have seen has been a bit hit and miss for me.

I adored the three pieces I heard Piero sing, including the two duets. Aida has a very pleasant voice, which says a lot as it is rare that a soprano can come within a million miles of Valerie Masterson and Lesley Garrett.

Not sure about the solo from Ignazio with the guitar, the jury is still out on that one. But oh dear, Gian…………. no, Not Crazy Little Thing Called Love. Stick to Elvis Presley, but please do not try and emulate Freddie Mercury. Sorry if my comments upset anyone, but having been one of Freddie’s greatest fans, I feel I have to.

    1. Roz you’re talking to me who was a huge fan of Freddie but he’s gone and I’ve seen countless impersonations done very badly but songs are meant to be sung and if they’re sung well it’s so much better, moreover Gianluca doesn’t have to be Elvis or Freddie, he has to be Gianluca!! Ignazio loves to be pop but also soul and rock, he is perhaps the most versatile and Piero has highlighted all studies for opera. Congratulations to all.

      1. Indeed Roz, that’s why I advise you to wait for the TV shoot and I hope it does full justice to our boys.

  12. Daniela, your commentary. and explanations are so wonderful and complete for a fan who didn’t get to see and hear this concert live. Happy for all those fans who did.

    1. Thanks Mark, I tried to summarize, but there is so much to say and I will be in more detail in the description as soon as the full video is available. See you soon.

  13. Your commentary is wonderful. You all look like a good time despite the rain. We are waiting our turn to see the boys, we love them.

    1. Janice, you will love them even more with the full video, and certainly there will be those who will object to what they have done, but the comparison is always constructive, but my opinion is that Piero, Ignazio and Gianluca are trying to demonstrate their full value and for me they succeeded.

  14. Thank you Daniela and Pat for this beautiful post, really speedy, your cooperation is awsome. Yes it was an unforgetable, incredibly beautiful concert. I already forgot how wet I was, but the beautiful impressions will remain. I really don’t understand these offended “fans”. How can they say they have been deceived. How much hard work our boys have to put into preparing such incredibly beautiful over three hours performances. They work so hard for us and never let us down. Thank Daniela for everything, it was a great pleasure to meet you in person and spend a wonderful day with you and Kirsten, really unforgetable night with Il Volo and day with you. GRAZIE MILLE😍

    1. You’re very welcome, Jolanta! I wish I could have been there to meet you, Kirsten, Daniela, Maura and all the others. I don’t know if you know this but I am mostly Polish….40+ percent! My mother was 100% Polish. Her parents came to this country in 1901 and 1902. I have been trying to do genealogy research about them.

      1. My advice, Pat, re genealogy is get started as soon as possible! I spent 30 years researching my extended family and having it self-published to give to all and sundry of the family who really appreciated the effort. Hugs, Dol.

      2. Great, we have something in common besides love to Il Volo and their music. Would be great to meet, maybe next time🥰 at the concert. Have a nice day🤗

      3. Dolores, I have been researching for almost 20 years and have a lot information in my family tree, but my Polish side is more difficult as you can imagine. I have made some progress there. I wish I would have asked both of my parents about what they remembered before they passed.

  15. I was at both concerts and both were amazing. My only disappointment wss not being able to meet Daniela after the 1st concert, but the rain and wet ponchos made that too messy. Perhps another year. The two concerts were completely different, but both showcased the guys versatility and each of their different musical preferences. I can’t even pick a favorite song, they were all good. My daughter and I enjoyed the different styles, the outstanding orchestra and choir, the light shows, and the whole arena joining in singing along with many songs – wow! We’re in southern Italy now for a week, but those concerts were the reason we came to Italy and they were definitely worth it!

    1. Majia I’m so glad you enjoyed the concerts, really a big shame I didn’t see you, but with that rain it was impossible to stop.
There will be a next occasion!

  16. Thank you SO much Daniela. I would love to have been there but the next best thing is hearing all the wonderful details from you and I’m now looking forward to seeing your videos. I will be 80 in a few weeks and desperately hoping the boys might come back to the UK sometime soon before time runs out for me.

    1. Thanks for the compliments, Mrs.June, there will be a lot to read later. I always hope they come to the UK for a date, but I think there must be demand from the concert organisers. I think that concerts like these just done also have this purpose, to arouse interest. As you see with Grandma Maura, age is just a number!

  17. Daniela, Thank you for another great job of
covering a really amazing concert. Lots of surprises!
I am looking forward the TV version.
You are the “United Nations” branch of the Flight Crew
the way you bring such a diverse group of fans
    together. Love your smiling faces!
Pat, as always, thanks for your dedication.

    1. Martha, you gave me beautiful compliments, thank you!! OMG even the “United Nations” branch of Flight Crew….exaggerated!!

  18. Thank you Daniela. After these two concerts I don’t know how anyone could say Ignazio, Piero and Gianluca are not the ultimate performers. They can not only sing together as a group, sing a solo and do duets with other singers but they do it beautifully. I did not think anyone could sing Whitney Houston’s song better than her. But the little you shared of Ignazio was incredible. And I don’t think it will be long before Piero stars in his first opera. I had not heard the other Italian singers other than Mario Biondi but I enjoyed listening to them. I can’t wait to see more and read your comments.

    1. Cathy, you are absolutely right, each of the three has highlighted their singing skills, they have worked hard for this and they are also trying to awaken interest in young people, tackling more current music, but we always talk about excellent songs.

  19. Daniela-san, thank you for your prompt report.
As I can see from the images posted on Facebook, I suppose it was hard to listen to the concert while it was raining continuously.
However, despite the rain, our Il Volo performed a passionate song, and the audience was very satisfied.
I heard it will be aired on CANEL5 on the 21st and 28th of this month, and I am trying to somehow see it in Japan.
I’m waiting for Daniel’s detailed report after this airing.

    1. Dear Yukio, it was raining really hard, we were all wet, at first we tried to clap by letting our hands come out of the poncho, but then it was impossible because every time water seeped under the poncho!! Too bad for the guys who deserve thunderous applause. The dates for Canale 5 are not yet confirmed, I will let you know for sure. For the video, a friend will put it on Daily Motion, I think that way it will be visible to all, or at least I hope so!

      1. Thank you for your wonderful reports of the concert. I am an obsessed Il Volo fan from England and my only way of seeing them is on social media. Hopefully I will get to see this video on Canale 5

      2. Daniela san,
I understand how hard it was in the rain! It must have been a great memory (X_o)!.
I will check it on Daily Motion. Thank you for your infomation.

      3. Cristina, as I said, I’d really like them to return to the UK, but you have to apply to whoever organizes the concerts, if there’s a request, the organizers apply to Il Volo, and they come.
However, the video of the concert I will also attach here with my explanations. A few more days of patience.

  20. Oh Daniella .. This is lovely .. I too was so excited with every aspect of this concert .. I deplore those negative people … I just knew it would be different & brill.. I for one would love to see a concert like this performed each year to give the boys a chance to showcase their hidden talents & tastes .. it would keep them & fans interested constantly

    1. Trudy, I was so angry at people posting negative comments that, as you noted, I didn’t post anything for a week because I was too sorry about it. I think the same thing, they are trying to keep the interest alive and maybe, capture the attention of the fans of the other guests who are very impressed with them.

  21. Thank you Daniella for the report on the concert ,i have seen some videos not sure about two of the boys suits but thats me ,glad it went well for the boys they must have worked hard to get it all organised ,sorry about the rain you had but you all stuck it out ,well done ,Daniella i dont suppose it will be on tv in the UK so will look forward to see more videos on you tube ,i have tickets for Bulgaria i cant wait to see them live ,regards

    1. Pamela, how nice, you will go to Bulgaria to see them, congratulations. As I said, I hope they come to the UK soon.
Yes, they worked hard for these two concerts and the results showed.

  22. Couldn’t believe how fast you got this together, thanks to both of you for another well done article. I said before I saw any of the videos and when I heard about some of the negativity that anything IlVolo is participating in would be great and happy to say that I was 100% right. Would love to have been there but still hoping at age 80 that I will see them again in Florida. I did just read that they will not be coming in2023, disappointed yes but understand that they are so in demand. I thought what I saw was awesome and had tears and goosebumps when they performed. Thought the show was fantastic and appreciate all the hard work these wonderful guys put in for our entertainment, love these three so much and love you guys for all your hard work.

  23. Actually, Beverley, I was delayed a day, because I had friends here from Denmark and Poland and I wanted to show them my Brescia and it was fun. Then I dedicated myself to writing, but as I told you, there will be a lot to read, because there is so much to say about these two concerts.

  24. Dear Daniela,
First, thank you for all your hard work, especially translating for us English speaking fans. The way you tell a story brings it all to life for us!
And, about those pre concert complaints…. Everyone should have known that our boys would never disappoint their fans! Besides, I’d go see them if they were sharing the stage with Donald Duck and Micky Mouse! And as a plus, the boys always stayed visible for the most part, even when one of them was doing a duet or solo!! It was a stupendous effort and accomplishment on their part to put on such a brilliant show!!

    1. Indeed Nina, you are right about the negative comments before the concert, I understand that the news of the numerous guests has disoriented people, but Il Volo has never let us down and criticizing before seeing and hearing, was not very fair. Then everyone can have their own idea, even if negative if necessary, but not yet before seeing.

  25. Thank you Daniela and Pat, this program in Verona really showed the talent that our guys have and not only the voices but the ability to produce a spectacular program for 2 days. As usual your descriptions are so personal to us Il Volovers who have enjoyed their voices for all these years. This was a very special presentation.

    1. True Kay, it was spectacular, and I think this will give a twist to future Il Volo concerts, which will always draw on the past, but looking to the future and to me, from what I’ve seen and heard it seems really well done. They were wonderful and great hosts too.

  26. Dear Daniela,
Incredile to see 20 thousands people watching a show in rain four hours!!! Right??
IL VOLO is the phenomen who did that!!!!
I am a devoted Fan too!!!

I ll be traveling from Israel to Bucharest on Oct 4th to watch them, as they dont perform in Israel !!
Love they performance, their repertoire, their voices…love them.

Shall I meet youon October 4th..!!!!???

    Lea from Israel

    1. Wow Lea, you are going from Israel to Bucharest, what a long journey, how many things these guys make us do!!
How much love there is around them.

  27. Thank you Daniela and Pat for the wonderful photos and videos! Sorry everyone was soaked from incessant rain…..but we all know the show must go on!! These stories about the concerts are so exciting and help those of us who cannot attend to “be there”. I love everything the guys do…this was a bit different but they pulled it off as always! They really showed the extent of their abilities and their personalities to different music. I enjoyed Gian’s more modern music and his duets, especially Elvis! But I missed his sexy, soulful renditions of old love songs, he’s such a wonderful crooner of love songs! Igna is quite a mix of comedy, sad songs, blues, soul and rock…..and always Italian Melodies. Piero, we’re all certain will end up on an opera stage with that beautiful voice! He also branched out a bit with a little bit of rock!
They all showed such versatility with their gorgeous voices and selves!
I cannot wait to see them again and hope it will be soon in the US. Italy will have to wait …..maybe next year to celebrate my 80th birthday!

    1. Yes Carol I confirm, the show continued until the end and most of the fans resisted until the end. I think it’s a practical demonstration of the fans’ affection for Il Volo!!
It was great to be able to see them and hear them in the songs most congenial to them and believe me, it was a fantastic concert.
