The Naples concert (Caserta) had been announced as the final date of the Italian outdoor tour, but a concert in Pordenone was subsequently added; that one, however, will certainly be different, as the President of the Italian Republic will be in attendance.
So, let’s turn to the Caserta concert—specifically:
September 8 Caserta
The concert took place in front of the magnificent Royal Palace of Caserta.

This is not the first time Il Volo has performed in front of this magnificent royal palace—here are a few historical facts about it.
The Royal Palace of Caserta is a royal residence located in Caserta that historically belonged to the House of Bourbon-Two Sicilies. Commissioned by Charles of Bourbon, the foundation stone—marking the start of construction—was laid on January 20, 1752, based on a design by Luigi Vanvitelli; he was later succeeded by his son Carlo and other architects. The palace was completed in 1845.

Francesco Boccia (songwriter of “Grande Amore”) also attended the concert; he posted this comment and video.
“Last night, I embraced my little brothers Gianluca, Ignazio, and Piero again after watching an extraordinary concert at the Royal Palace of Caserta. Il Volo is the answer to all my fears and doubts about the future of music in Italy. Talent still exists, great singers still exist, and beautiful songs still exist! In a dark and decadent time where ‘nothingness’ is so highly praised, #ilvolo is the light.
Thank you, guys, for all the emotions you’ve given me; I love you and always will. ❤️”
Caserta Web, an online newspaper, published this article:
Il Volo Thrills Caserta During the Royal Leg of a Global Success
The three young artists continued their summer tour by captivating audiences in Campania (Naples is in the Campania region) during an evening that celebrated the excellence of Italian *bel canto*.
Caserta was filled with music and atmosphere last night as the renowned trio Il Volo stopped in the city for a thrilling concert.
Part of the “Un’estate da Belvedere” series—conceived and directed by Massimo Vecchione—the event transformed the extraordinary setting of the Royal Palace of Caserta into a natural stage for one of the world’s most acclaimed vocal ensembles.
Piero Barone, Ignazio Boschetto, and Gianluca Ginoble treated the audience to a performance that spanned the various facets of their repertoire, demonstrating once again why—after an eighteen-year career—they continue to represent the excellence of Italian music on the international stage.
A success that transcends borders.
The figures speak for themselves: twenty-two million records sold, eleven years of television programs marking their rise, and a historic milestone as the first Italian artists signed by a major American record label. It is a track record rich in accolades—one that received exciting new confirmation last night on stage in Caserta.
The setlist skillfully balanced various phases of their artistic output, alternating between great classics of the Italian tradition and the operatic pieces that shaped their early training, right through to the famous songs that have defined their extraordinary career.
Italian tradition at the heart of the world.
What makes Il Volo’s offering unique is their ability to bridge the historical legacy of Italian song with the sensibilities of younger audiences. The three tenors do more than simply perform; they convey the essence of a musical tradition that has long served as a cultural ambassador for Italy across the globe.
Their extraordinary voices have moved diverse generations, demonstrating how Italian *bel canto* retains its power to speak to people’s hearts, regardless of age or cultural background. It is a message of universality that found its ideal setting last night within the magnificent Royal Palace of Caserta.
Upcoming Events
Il Volo’s summer is just getting started. Their upcoming engagements will see the trio perform in Mantua on September 24, 26, and 27, 2026, as the stars of the fourth edition of “TUTTI PER UNO” at the magnificent Palazzo Te—a venue that, given its extraordinary cultural and historical significance, provides the perfect setting for their performances.
With the next concert in Pordenone scheduled for September 20th, we all expected the guys to have a few days of well-deserved rest—especially since rehearsals for the Mantua show were looming—but that wasn’t the case; on September 11th, Il Volo appeared as guests at a private event—the high-profile wedding of a Brazilian tycoon’s daughter—held in Puglia at the beautiful and renowned Borgo Egnazia.

But that’s not all: immediately after the wedding event, Il Volo left for Orlando, Florida, for another event—the National Dance Championships. They sang “Nessun Dorma,” receiving a standing ovation. 👏👏👏

Joining them is Edo Ferragamo , who posted this comment and these photos:
Orlando, what a night.
Proud to have served as Musical Director for USDC 2026, bringing together an incredible lineup of talent, including the amazing Il Volo for a night I won’t forget.
Months of work behind the scenes, then finally getting to watch it all come to life.
Grateful to everyone who made it happen and congrats to the best dancers in the world.
Once again, our guys have amazed us with their hard work and energy… they are tireless… now they have to rush home—there’s the Pordenone concert, and right after that, preparations for Mantua!!!
By the way, what do you think of Gianluca’s new look?
Honestly, I’m not too crazy about it!! Let me know what you think.
See you soon: Daniela 🤗

I’m with you Danielle. Not as becoming as his previous hair style. I like him with a very slight facial hair and his wavy hair. Just my opinion. Going to the concert in November at the Hard Rock Casino. Since it’s my last M/G and probably my last concert, I’m doing the ultra M/G where I get to be in their private suite with them. Will let you know if it was worth the extra money charge.
Can’t wait to see the report on the private M. & G. Gian when something is perfect – why change it? Not my favorite look for sure! The curls were awesome!
When I went to a M & G I was clearly told the people who run the M&G make the money on it, not IlVolo or the concert venue!
Joanne, naturally you understood that my question was just to get an idea of the readers’ tastes—obviously, it takes nothing away from Gianluca’s charm and talent!!
Why do you say “last” for everything? You never know what life holds…😉
I’m 79 years old and I don’t like driving anymore so therefore , it will be my last concert. Gian has the right to wear his hair anyway he feels like it. I wasn’t questioning your choice of words.
His hair, his choice.
I totally agree with you, dreamly 🥰
Ik vind GG zijn haar niet leuk ,maar wat je weer heb geschreven Danielle fantastisch
Danke Andrea, das weiß ich sehr zu schätzen! 🥰
.
Thanks Andrea, I really appreciate it! 🥰
I’m with you Daniela—I don’t think it is an improvement!
Yes, Penina, but we like them anyway, regardless of the look they’re sporting. 😍
of course!
Barbara Streisand advised Il Volo to stay humble, advice which they have followed IMO. But the comments by Francesco Boccia must have made them feel special.
As always, thank you Daniela and Pat.
You’re very welcome, whtoak5! 😊 I also think they have stayed humble.
Indeed, the three of them have remained completely humble.
Francesco Boccia’s words come straight from the heart for three people who are always friendly and likable, as well as highly talented and respected singers. 😘
I agree with you. I loved his curly hair too. But it is his hair. Great pictures of them and article too. Will their tutti per uno be on Canale 5 or YouTube. I love them forever
🌹🌹👍👍❤️❤️🇺🇸🇮🇹💕💕💕🌹🌹
Linda, “TUTTI PER UNO” will be broadcast on Canale 5, and I hope it also gets authorized for YouTube; in any case, there will always be someone who manages to copy it so I can post it for you! 🥰
Don’t like it at all!

Dear Luz, reading your wonderful comments is always a pleasure; you really ought to start a blog or a page dedicated to Il Volo.
It is true: the emotions stirred by the songs our three guys sing with such passion and skill always evoke a deep sense of affection and peace.
Their wonderful personalities—always mindful of the less fortunate—make us love them even more, and their devotion to their families is truly moving. It is a joy to be a fan of theirs. 🥰
Gianluca has fabulous naturally curly hair and I love it, but this is a common look now in young men in the US – lots of curls combed on to the forehead. Looks OK, but I prefer the previous look. Thank you for this report. I’m looking forward to seeing them in Philadelphia in November – with whatever hairdos they may have- I love them all!
I also prefer his natural, full look, Maija, rather than that fringe covering his forehead; in any case, our Gianluca’s talent is absolutely unaffected by it. 🥰
Loved Francesco’s words and the Caserta review!
Gianluca looks to me like the model for Michelangelo’s David, and is always handsome no matter the hair or clothes.
Once again thanks a million for the up-date on the latests Il Volo concerts/events. And no, these guys have most certainly not sit bacck relaxing following the Naples concert as anticipated – in the contrary. Oh boy, how do they manage? Albeit apparently using a private jet for the fling to the US, they must be sooooo exhausted! I was in Montepagano on September the 9th and caught a glimpse of Gianluca when he returned home from Naples – back already at 10:30 am after a 2-3 hrs. long joyrney, I anticipated he would go straight to bed for a long nap or something – but apparently he has been busy as a bee managing both a visit with his hairdresser, a session in the fitness center and finally a dip in the ocean at Roseto Beach – all in the same afternoon! Those guys must be made of some special material!
It seeems that the concert in Naples was once again a great success in all aspects. I truly loved – and appreciate – learning the words written by Franccesco Boccia. What an acknowledgement! Kudos! By the way – I have some aquaintances – a Danish couple now living and enjoying the Italian life in Molise – that drove across to Naples for their very first concert with Il Volo based on my recommendations, I cannot wait to learn of their thoughts. Hopefully, they have been just as captured as my husband and I and now become new fans.
What a great surprise to see/hear the guys performing at the USDC 2026! I hadn¨t seen that come…. – but what an awesome idea! Being a former ballroom competition dancer myself I do still love that environment very much and would have loved to dance to the voices of Il Volo – WOW! Yet again, the few sniplets I have heard and seen here on the internet makes me think that the guys have been singing to “show dances” rather than the competition itself as very firm rules as to tempi etc. must be adherred to by the accompanying orchestra at international competitions and it seems to me that the dancers were rather dancing to Il Volo than the other way around. But wonderful to see/hear :-).
Warmest regards – Kirsten, Denmark.
Of – I forgot Daniela’s question as to Gianluca’s new look. Gianluca will always look handsome – no matter what – he is a very attractive young man. Having said that I must agree with Daniela that the new hair do doesn’t do him any good – in the countrarary. He looks like a little boy (exactly as a very famous Danish child actor back from the 50th, named “Lille Per” from the family series “Far til fire” – resembling a 6 year old little boy and always weaaring a tiny round knitted hat) – or if I shall be very polite like the statues of ancient men from Rome… I do most certainly prefer him with a somewhat longer and looser natural curly hairdo brushed backwards from his forehead as he has been sporting the last couple of years (and no signature curl in the foreheard either). As we have come to know Gianluca, however, he likes to adapt to the latest in fashion and likes to change his looks frequently, so I guess we shall just have to get used to this new look. Hopefully, he will soon be fascinated by other trends – or someone close to him tell him the truth albeit I believe he doesn’t care what other people think in this respect. My two cents.
Hi
I think it’s just a matter of everyone getting used to the changes.
Gianluca looks good in any style for me.
He could be a model.
Yes he has lovely curly hair but fashion changes and maybe he just wants to be different.
I’m sure in time he will change his hair again.
And really it’s not for us to question it, but I know everyone has their opinions. And are free to do that.
I’m sure he will know what fans think, does he really care, I don’t think so.
But at the end of the day it’s his voice and entertainment that counts.
I remember a while back Ignazio changed his hair and most fans didn’t approve, but now he has gone back to
His original hairstyle.
All three guys are lovely whatever for me.
Hope you don’t mind me saying what I think.
Have a good Sunday.
Regards
Fenella x💕
NOT EVERYONE FALLS IN LOVE WITH IL VOLO…
Me again. I just heard from my Danish friends in Molise to whom I have suggested IL VOLO and who have just returned from their first live concert with the guys – the above one in Naples. To my big surprise – they were not impressed! They were dissapointed with the venue and the sound and report that the guys didn’t manage to come across the edge of the stage. The experience didn’t live up to expectations. This is the very first time I have experienced people fond of good music not being captured by the guys when going live…. As to the venue they told that the stage was placed so that the audience were having their backs to the Royal Castle and as such it didn’t function as the background. They felt that they could have been seated on the lawn of about anywhere and didn’t feel the wings of history. Further, they found the sound not working satisfactorily, so as said, they were not blown backwards but, of course, they did have an good evening. They didn’t mention a word about any of the songs nor anything relating to the guys performances…. – I don’t like to ask any further albeit it truly puzzels me that they weren’t taken in by the guys. Guess we are used to everyone loving and appreciating them the same way as we hardcore fans – so we anticipate great praise from everyone else. Maybe this is a healthy “wake-up call” to all of us, that is, to be a bit critical as well and dare telling it… I was sad to learn though as their trip to Naples was entirely based on my recommendations.
Warmest regards – Kirsten, Denmark
