Notte Magica – Brasilia! Curitiba/Sao Paolo – Sep 19 – 24, 2017

The guys are quickly making their way now through South America with just 3 more concerts to go.  It is hard to believe and what events they have been through so far, earthquakes, just missing hurricanes, etc.  Things seemed to have settled down a bit, weather-wise since they actually got to South America.  We are certainly glad of that!

ercole sao paolo planeThe Latin crowd seems to be getting an all-around concert, kind of what I’d hoped for in the US – a little of this, a little of that, but as we all say, it doesn’t matter what they sing, it is awesome and never long enough!  However, they are getting to hear Volare, Canzone per Te, Il Mundo, Mas Que Amor, and maybe even a few others people haven’t shared.  Through these last few video clips, I think the guys are finally having fun again.  The clip from Il Mundo, reminds me of “old” Igna, where he was bouncing on his toes during the refrain.  Their voices just keep getting richer and richer.  Their tones continuously awesome.  Adding nuances here and there, just to keep it interesting!

Very special thanks to the AAIV group, who appeared to attend all of the concerts inercole audience sao paolo Brazil and uploading their clips to Instagram.  Also thanks to all owners of the videos and pictures and of course Ercole, Piero, and Gianluca, for always keeping us entertained.  🙂

From a photo from Piero in the plane, they landed safely in Quito and were greeted by adoring fans!  They have been pretty lucky so far escaping the earthquakes and hurricanes. Prayers again to Mexico and Puerto Rico.  I think it helped last time, let’s do it again!

ILVOLO PRESENT ‘TRIBUTE TO THE THREE TENORES’, IN QUITO
On Saturday, September 16, 2017, in the evening they gave a private concert in Puerto Rico. Yesterday (September 17, 2017) Il Volo arrived in Quito in the morning and at 6:00 p.m., dressed in black suits and white shirts, arrived on stage of the theater of the House of Ecuadorian Culture to pay homage to Luciano Pavarotti, José Carreras and Plácido Domingo, The Three Tenors. Il Volo, a trio of young Italians made up of Gianluca Ginoble (baritone), Ignazio Boschetto (tenor) and Piero Barone (tenor), have been closely watched by The Three Tenors since April 25, 2009, when they performed Sole Mio. From that day the Italian public nicknamed them ‘The little tenors’. Since that presentation that was part of Ti lascio una canzione, an Italian Rai 1 reality show, eight years have gone by, four studio albums, five live shows, two Eps and 12 international tours including ‘Noche mágica’, a tribute to The Three Tenors, with whose music they came to the country to show two things: their talent in lyric singing and their ability to interact with the public.
From the shows of The Three Tenors, all you have to do is go to YouTube and see one of their performances. The lyrical singing concerts are no longer solemnity, and that is what Ginoble, Boschetto and Barone showed from the first song on Sunday night which was Nessun dorma until Grande Amore, one of the current lyric pop hits played in the team’s jersey and hundreds of fans stuck to the stage taking photographs. In the first part of this sound journey, which lasted two hours, Il Volo performed songs like Grenada, A Stealthy Tear, The Dance, E luceva le stelle, Torna a surriento and Ave Maria Mater. The first part ended with The Prelude of the Carmen interpreted by the orchestra, of 40 musicians, directed by the teacher Larry Salgado, that narrowed the hands of the musicians in several occasions.
The tenacity and vocal extension of the members of Il Volo reached their best levels in the performances of Maria, My Way, Tonight, Cielito lindo and En Aranjuez with your love. Boschetto, the member of the trio who has changed the most in these eight years, was responsible for fostering interaction with the public, which included jokes with his handling of Spanish and with his fans. The final part of his presentation was marked by the interpretation of Italian popular music classics such as Sole mio, Libiamo ne ‘lieti calici and Volare, the most international of the Italian pieces and songs from his repertoire such as Mas que amor, Si me missing your look and Grande amore, with which they won the Song Festival of San Remo, in 2015.

Santo Domingo & Panama September 2017!

The guys made it safely out of Mexico, swiftly navigating both hurricanes and earthquakes to arrive in Santo Domingo on Sep 13 and Panama on Sep 15.  They met with the usual amount of screaming and adoring fans at both airports and put on awesome shows as usual.  They were also on a special show in Santo Domingo.

Mexico Welcomes back Il Volo!

The Latin American tour begins!  Ole!

Our guys were back in peak form to entertain the fans of Mexico!  I think the rest did them well.  Their first concert being in Chihuahua/Mexico City on September 7, followed by Monterrey and Guadalajara on September 9 and 10.

As Marie says, the earth always moves when they are around, but this time it was for real on September 7.  Shortly after their concert, Mexico was struck with the 8.1 earthquake.  They felt the tremors all the way into Mexico City.  Of course, all the fans were worried and concerned and Il Volo and all of their management, assured us that they were fine.  However, in the one article I read, when they got back to their hotel, they did move from the 25th floor, down to the first floor for the evening, as there was a slight amount of damage in one or two of their rooms.

From the many videos that I saw, it appears that the Mexican fans got a little more variety in their concert than we did.  They got to hear a few and favorite “old” songs like, Mas Que Amor and a few others in Spanish along with Grande Amore in Spanish.

Mexico City – Looks like it might have been a little chilly in there.  At the bottom they all had their jackets on, but then seemed to either take them off or unzip them near the end.

Wind Summer Festival~~~ AND~~~ Pula, Italy, Notte Magica concert!

WIND SUMMER FESTIVAL

Daniela sent us these excerpts from the festival:

In June, at Piazza del Popolo in Rome, we held the WIND SUMMER FESTIVAL, where our boys also participated.

The broadcast was recorded and made available on television a few days ago.

IL VOLO in great shape has proposed a small medley of L’AMORE SI MUOVE e GRANDE AMORE.

As always, they have involved the whole audience.

The presenter said announcing it was, “Proud to have them as  guests because they are famous all over the world.”

In the backstage of the festival, the boys were interviewed.

The interviewer had already interviewed the boys at their debut so he dived in the past. 

He tells the guys that it’s been so long since their last interview. 

The director of the WIND SUMMER FESTIVAL is Cenci, which we remember, he had the idea of ​​joining the voices Piero, Ignazio, and Gianluca when they were at TI LASCIO UNA CANZONE. 

Cenci says that he had the idea of ​​joining them but the magic of these guys made by Tony Renis because he made them have incredible contacts and that maybe the guys without these contacts, perhaps would not be here.

The presenter goes on to say that the guys have conquered the world.

The boys confirm that they have worked so hard and now they have more security and that they have so much success thank you to  the fans.

Pula, Italy, July 28, 2017…the final concert for the European leg of the Una Notte Magica World Tour.  Whew!  It seems like they have been on tour forever.  I wonder what it must feel like to them?  Listening to the following video you will hear the same magnificent voices you heard way back at the beginning of this tour.  Such superb professionals who have mastered their art above and beyond all others.  Following this concert they are on a well deserved holiday for the month of August with friends and family.  Then it’s back to work as the rest of the world awaits them on this phenomenal tour!
