Perhaps many of you have already seen this video, done by IL VOLOCOMIO, but I want to translate the background words for you. This is the beautiful presentation made at theVerona concert in September 2015. Who reads is a famous Italian actor,Giancarlo Giannini, the video was made just to confirm the good words.
A modern fairytale does not start with “Once upon a time …..” because it happens here, and now.
A modern fable, has no dragons, nor princesses, as protagonists.
Start in Italy, think, in some cities of our beautiful province.
More than the characters, the real protagonists are: the passion that animates them and friendship.
The passion for the “bel canto” that takes possession of three kids, the friendship that, instead of the soccer field, grows in front of a large orchestra.
And what passion and friendship alone cannot, is achieved by talent.
Passion, friendship, talent, are not the names of three fairies, but when in life, rarely happens that they get together, as if they were, they realize magical things.
This modern fable does not have an ending, because it has just begun and is still to be written, and it speaks of three guys, who have taken flight, IL VOLO.

Meanwhile, about MUSICA CHE RESTA, Emilio Munda (music writer) in an interview said:
It’s the first time I work with IL VOLO and I’m going to Sanremo, so a set of things that excites me so much.
I cannot say much about MUSICA CHE RESTA, except that it is a lyrical pop very suitable for them.

Here, the first dates of the Italian tour have been announced.
Go to ticketone.it to find tickets. Verona venue is offering a gold package with a pre-event, but no guys for 250 euros. However the first 2 rows are already sold out. It is orch pit area. Best regular tx there after that start about 90 euros but when I checked a bit ago, they were already on the 3rd row there also. If you are a member of the fan club you should have gotten an email, however I missed mine! 🙁 Came in at 4am sometime! Pat forwarded it to me. It references going to fan club page for presale code, which has technically already expired, but maybe can get better seats still? I just looked at site though, and did not see any reference code? Also there are not the two dates of Matera, which we know well have been announced. Maybe those are the two dates of the PBS special, will they be by invitation only ???
I believe that I will go to Verona, but I still want to wait for the announcement of all the dates.

Some good news was needed, given the latest news that had made us so angry, and things, here in Italy, are not yet settled.
On the contrary, every day we discover many wrong behaviors, ungenerous and unjust actions that our guys have suffered for years from the press.
Things do not end here ….. there will still be a lot to say.
At this point, after being REDwith rage 😡 for what we read, we smile with this article, 😀 very unique.
I want to warn you that it was written in an ironic tone, so read with nice irony what this journalist writes that he realized that his colleagues are exaggerating.
We have this against the three of Il Volo. They are unlucky, they sing old stuff, music of the past, someone claims that they are good for the Americans who know nothing and are fond of the memory of Luciano Tajoli and Claudio Villa. Others say that they are like spaghetti bolognese, a typical tourist export dish but non-existent in Italian kitchens and tables.
Barone, Boschetto, Ginoble form an unpleasant and presumptuous trio. Easy to understand the reasons and just as easy to get out of this situation. They are doing everything wrong. They should begin to adapt to contemporary styles. The Decalogue (Ten Commandments) is simple and I go to illustrate it:
1)Necessary tattoos, clearly visible, arms, hands, possibly face. It goes without saying that strong, aggressive messages, to power, to capitalists, to the bourgeoisie must be evident.
2)The piercing is indispensable, chosen from the lip to the nostrils, from the ear lobe, tongue and eyebrows.
3)Excessive composition of music and texts of great provocation, with strong words, possibly vulgar, something that lends itself to the rhyme with bunch, boy, sollazzo, bad luck, embarrassment, shame, terrace, weir (they are all words that in Italian rhyme with an Italian dirty word)
4)Appropriate use of various drugs, even revealed in an adolescent past and the invitation to use them with caution.
5)Convenient outing on sexual desires and confession of a very harsh childhood, repressed in a family on the edge of poverty.
6)Eligible participation not at the Papal audience but at the rave party. Better to perform in a social center and not to sing for His Holiness the Pope, old and sly stuff, from sacristans and astute clerks.
7)Intelligent add to their names a pseudonym that steals the attention of most. Type PieroAx, IgnazioZ, Gianlucaebbasta. (In Italy there are these 3 rappers: J-AX, FedeZ, Sferaebbasta)
8)Adequate some typical postures of repertoire and trend: gesticulate, make movements and gestures uncomposed, agitated, dis-articulated, closing ring and middle, instead showing, bystanders, index, thumb and little finger.
9)Indispensable to decorate oneself following the latest dictates of fashion, showy clothes, shoes by astronauts, colored glasses.
10) Useful haircut called pompadour undercut with overlying tufts and shaving at the bottom, any ridges are still allowed, possibly painted by resounding colors.
Only by observing these rules could the three losers enter the list of favorites, win high marks in report cards of teachers in the Sanremo jury and find the right national glory. That said, briefly. Indeed ….. on the fly. (in Italian: AL VOLO)

I was in Oliver in high school and a beautiful song came out of that musical, written by Lionel Bart. “Where is love? Does it fall from skies, above?” Our love may not fall from skies above, but it does fly! It flies all over the world to greet their fans. Their fans, too, fly all over the world, just to hear them! We spare no expense, our love is unconditional. Our love is reciprocated as soon as they walk on stage and smile at us. All worries disappear for at least an hour or two. Soon, their new CD will be flying into my mailbox – hey, it will be from skies above, all the way from Italy! 🙂

The chaos caused by the videos of the press room journalists in Sanremo has not yet subsided.
Today all the radio and TV programs have spoken about IL VOLO and the injustice suffered.
Many famous people in Italy have taken a position defending the boys.
The boys did not intervene in any transmission, and their attitude aroused great admiration from many people. There are comments that come also from many who were not their fans, but now take their defense.
Among the many, what has made me a lot of effect is this of Michele Monina.
He is a critic who has always written bad things, even very bad and offensive on our boys. He had never met Piero, Ignazio and Gianluca and in the early days of Sanremo, he had had a long interview with them. He liked them a lot and he understood what kind of people they are. At the end of the interview he said that he liked them a lot, even if they sing a kind of music that he does not like.
Today Monina, after reading what happened in the press room has published this nice video of the boys and has commented:
“The moment when it comes out that a part of the Press Room has insulted the boys of Il Volo, here is the moment we met. The criticisms can be made, but we do not hide ourselves … Ah, best wishes Gianluca Ginoble!”
And this is what Alessandro Quarta said, the violinist with whom they made the duet.
“Being on the stage of Sanremo with Il Volo was a blow of crazy and wonderful emotion, we found ourselves right away, the charge was wonderful.
I really like the guys from Il Volo, they are the only international Italian artists. They are loved all over the world. As an Italian and a musician it is important. We invented everything, we Italians, from notes to instruments. We do not forget it.

But as I said, things have not yet settled, there is still a lot of rage for the unfair treatment suffered by IL VOLO and today in an interview with a radio, Michele Torpedine, has confirmed the desire of the three singers to pass to legal proceedings against journalists who have insulted them in the press room, while reading the Festival ranking.
Yesterday evening, while I was writing the post, I randomly listened to the TV and I came across a program, usually of politics, where instead they talked about Sanremo, and then I immediately listened well.
The topic was, of course, the video of the press room.
The conductor of the evening Nicola Porro, has made specific questions to the journalist in the studio, Paolo Giordano, who was present in the press room of Sanremo.
Paolo Giordano, four years ago, gave very low votes to IL VOLO, but then a couple of years later, knowing them, he had changed his mind about them and then, afterward he always spoke well.
After listening to the questions asked by Porro to Paolo Giordano, I asked my friend, Daniela Ci, to extract from the whole video of the evening, only the piece concerning the questions on IL VOLO, and here’s what was said:
NP = Reply to me please Paul, is it true that there was an insult against IL VOLO? What have they told the guys from IL VOLO that they were shit?
That’s true, you were there, you’re an eyewitness, was there this thing?
PG = Yes, I heard it, it was there, and I disagree because I’m not like that.
man in the studio = Only the person who pronounced it will answer for this.
woman in the studio = Even others, they imitated and ridiculed them.
NP = Paolo Giordano, you have to explain something, you are the critic of IL GIORNALE …… but there was a particular climate against IL VOLO, because they were too perfect, or against this ULTIMO, in the press room? Was there the feeling you saw, that it was independent of the music? It’s a question I ask you and I trust what you tell me.
PG = Against IL VOLO there is a fairly widespread prejudice, for years, practically since they were born.Against ULTIMO, no.
All this makes me angry even more, because it was a situation that we fans knew very well, while not explaining why there is this attitude.
But seeing this confirmed by a journalist is really terrible.
This confirms that ULTIMO was not penalized by the jury of the press room, but only by the jury of honor who gave only a sixth place to ULTIMO in the evening of the duets. Instead IL VOLO was penalized by both juries, the duet took the lowest place, so I say that if the juries had not penalized IL VOLO so, it would probably still be in first place.
ANGER, ANGER AND STILL ANGER
All this history, will still have a train, but in the meantime let’s enjoy the moment of the proclamation of the three winners.
