A lovely evening in Boston’s magnificent Wang Theater. Il Volo, dressed in blue suits right from the start, delighted everyone present.
At the concert there were Mary and Mark Minton, here’s what they wrote to me:
“Hi Daniela, the concert in Boston was great! We met John from Connecticut there. It was great to see him again. The guys were in black for the whole concert and they looked very handsome. I was in the third row in the lane and Piero gave me a ‘fist bump’ when he walked around singing HERE’S TO YOU.
They sang all the same Mohegan Sun songs on Saturday. (Mary and Mark were also at the Mohegan Sun) The meet and greet was very busy and we only had a few seconds with the guys to take a photo. I’m sorry the concerts are over for us for now.”
(Mary and Mark also saw two concerts in Taormina this year.) “We will have to plan another trip to Italy next year to see them again!”
What about Mary, you and Mark were very lucky, you have seen two concerts in Italy and two in the U.S. you also did the M&G, and Piero fist bumped you as he passed and sang. All beautiful !!

Another good concert has ended and from the reviews I read on Ticketmaster, everyone is happy to have attended a concert where the voices are unquestionably beautiful. Piero, Ignazio and Gianluca are friendly and nice, as well as beautiful. The lineup of songs is excellent and everything takes place in a very familiar atmosphere.
Even the Italian press is realizing that the tour is continuing its run, grinding praise and successes.
I want to end with a comment taken from Ticketmaster.
“I have never been to such a WONDERFUL concert !!!!! All three of these artists are so talented it takes your breath away!! The venue was great and ‘they demolished the house’. I would see them again in a heartbeat!”
It is so good to see how much love our young men are gathering. Certainly Piero, Ignazio and Gianluca have lacked familiarity with the American audience in the last two years and now they are deservedly gathering all the affection from their American fans.
September 15: INDIANAPOLIS

Deborah and Jeannette were in Indianapolis, it wasn’t expected, and Deborah wrote like this:
“Well did you ever have the desire to do just one more? Sometimes things just fall into place! It appears we needed one more adventure, so in a spur of the moment decision, off we went to Indianapolis, Indiana!
What fabulous seats we had in the second row! Since I already posted my best videos from the Chicago concert, I did not plan to get anything at the Indianapolis concert!” 😁

“It was my first gig last night in Indianapolis. Done at the sound check, I had front row seats in the center, I met some very nice people while we waited for the concert to start. I had a photo with Gianluca at his invitation during the performance. It was all I was hoping for, and now it’s the next day, and I seriously wonder if it really happened! I have to go to another concert while I’m still on this planet! I guess there can’t be enough of these great guys!”
Jill, we understand very well what you felt, the first concert makes you want to see others ……….. it happened to all of us!!

The IL VOLO tour in U.S. started very well, in a short time there have already been three concerts, but let’s go in order:
10 September: DETROIT
Some friends were there, and I can tell you it was great.
They donned their beautiful white suits and then finished off with their traditional blues.
I don’t want to dwell on this concert, because among the audience there was our JANA, who had an important task to do after the concert. She herself will tell you in a post the concert and the meeting at the Meet & Greet.

Detroit is also famous for its cars, and the guys took the opportunity to get into some really beautiful cars.
The next stop is CLEVELAND, but 11 September is a date that no one forgets and our dear ones Piero, Ignazio and Gianluca dedicate the National Anthem in memory of so many missing people. ❤ 🇺🇸
12 September : CLEVELAND
This time the boys wore their blue suits from the beginning, I don’t want to be wrong, this is just my thought, but I think they did it out of respect as the day before was the anniversary of the disappearance of the Twin Towers.
Cleveland, like Detroit, welcomed Il Volo enthusiastically and Piero, Gianluca and Ignazio responded with love.
Rose Marie Paliobeis was present at the concert and wrote that during the concert the boys asked all people to stand up, and sang the National Anthem a cappella in memory of September 11th. It was a very touching and emotional moment.
Pat and I looked for a long time for a video that had captured this beautiful moment and here it is, thanks Lisa Joy, you were also present at the concert, happy to be able to see Il Volo again after a long time !!
In Cleveland there was also Judy Thurman with Beverly Olson. Read what a nice gesture Piero made.❤
Last night at the concert in Cleveland with Judy Thurman. Piero grabbed my phone to take a selfie, but his solo part in the song started, so he quickly snapped this. What love!

And now it’s Chicago’s turn.
Deborah Georgini Beaupre, Jeannette Giglio and Susan Tafanelli were also present at the Chicago concert, and they told me it was fantastic. ☺
This time Deborah managed to make several videos and many photos, thanks Deborah !!
Piero, Ignazio and Gianluca started the concert with their white suits.
The audience was very enthusiastic.

The last stage of the Italian summer tour has also arrived: Vicenza.
I must admit that, even though Vicenza is less than 80 miles from Brescia, I have never seen this city.
My friend Antonietta, went to the concert in Vicenza and sent me many beautiful photos and so let’s start by seeing how beautiful the Piazza dei Signori is.
Antonietta sent me some videos of the guy’s speeches, which I gladly translate for you.
PIERO = It rains, it does not rain, it rains, it does not rain. Luckily, so far it has gone well (obviously because the concert is outdoors).Thank you for coming to this concert, we are delighted (applause).
Today is the last date of this summer tour, tomorrow we leave two months for the U.S. on tour….
GIANLUCA = Who wants to come with us ???
PIERO = Anyone who wants to come can go with them !!
GIANLUCA = (He reads a sign) “You are the best gift for my 90th birthday !!” Greetings lady, best wishes, best wishes !!
PIERO = (he talks to Ignazio) Since I’m a mature person and I know you well, before you chase me away, I’m leaving.
IGNAZIO = Bravo!
PIERO = Ciao, see you later.
GIAN = (to Ignazio) Did you drink the coffee?
IGNAZIO = No. Coffee hurts, for heaven’s sake, because it can create gastric reflux, so the mucous membranes become inflamed (he points to a grandmother in the audience), see the lady nods. I studied!
GIAN = What happens now?
IGNAZIO = Before the tour, I called Gianluca and told him: “What should we do in a duet Gianluca?” And I propose a song that was already part of our wishes.
GIAN = We’ve been wanting to do it for years.
IGNAZIO = One of those songs that you think we have to do sooner or later. Let’s do it.
And so we decided to sing this song, especially this year, because we have come from two very difficult years, where there have been people less fortunate than us, who have suffered and continue to suffer. We want to dedicate it to those who are suffering, to those who listen to all the music to feel a little better, and especially to those who are watching us from up there. (applause)
Ignazio’s thought certainly went to Vito ❤, and now, how touching is this speech by Piero, dedicated to the memory of his grandfather Pietro !! ❤
PIERO = You know the love I have towards opera. I study every day to improve, and to learn more and more. It is a magnificent journey.
I owe everything to a person, who unfortunately has not been with us for a few days, and it is the person who made me discover, (applause) who transmitted this vocation to me. My grandfather.

And so we came to the last summer concert, a little sad, because for two months we will not see Il Volo here with us, but …………. we celebrate because they are already in your continent, they have rested very little and are ready to start your adventure !!
