It was a really nice dream, what Piero, Ignazio and Gianluca allowed to come true, for the beautiful and sweet Rachele and for her mother Alessia.
In the TV show LA PORTA DEI SOGNI (The Door of Dreams), broadcast by RAI1, the possibility of realizing a dream is given.
I chose this video, because it is the most complete of the whole evening and therefore I will translate it for you.
At the beginning Mara Venier, the host of the program, reads the letter from Alessia, a mother who with great difficulty raised her two daughters, practically alone (after separation from her partner), one 4 and one 9 years old .
Nine years have passed among sacrifices and Rachele, the eldest daughter, turns 18. Mum asks Mara that Rachele be celebrated with the boys whom the girl admires very much, because they managed to obtain, with study and sacrifice, what they wanted and have always been an example for Rachele.
Alessia tells how difficult it was to raise the girls, especially Rachele, who in adolescence, did not understand the mother’s constant NO to any request, a pizza with friends, go to the cinema, a continuous No, because the money sometimes they weren’t enough to eat. Furthermore, Rachele did not like herself, because she was a little overweight, so the mother-daughter relationship was very difficult.
At some point, they also had to leave the house and go to live in a basement, where in only one room, they had a sofa bed and a small kitchen and TV.
Alessia, with some tears, however, says that they were the best moments. They sat down and watched a program of little singing children (TI LASCIO UNA CANZONE).
“There were three kids that I indicated as an example to follow, because to succeed you don’t have to follow fashion, but to commit yourself, because what you believe in can be transformed into reality.”
Mara adds that now these guys have become famous all over the world and they bring our Italian spirit up high.
So Mara says to Alessia, “Let’s see what Rachele thinks of you.”

Rachele remembers the many problems they have always had. Remember that they often ate white pasta and potatoes, but mom always had a smile for them.
At some point Rachele understood that the sacrifices that her mother made were immense and therefore she left school and went to work to give valuable help.
Rachele thinks her mom is truly UNIQUE.
Rachele enters in the studio, and Mara asks if she has understood what is the dream that her mother has desired for her.
Alessia says that she would have liked Rachel to marry someone like Piero.
The dream is to bring Rachel together with the guys from her favorite group, IL VOLO.
Mara tells Rachele to go to the door that will light up.
Enter Piero, Ignazio and Gianluca.
Kisses and hugs and a lot of emotion, Rachele is happy.
Ignazio tells Rachele that he too was a little overweight as a kid, and that this year, he sang a solo by Mia Martini(ALMENO TU NELL’UNIVERSO) and she said that “Nobody is able to judge us, only we know what we are worth in this world.” and these are words to always remember.
A medley of beautiful songs from IL VOLO begins.
At the end Piero, gives a gift to mom and daughter, a VIP package, for the Arena di Verona, complete with Meet & Greet.
So much emotion and in the end Ignazio asks “but who is the most beautiful of the three of us?” and Rachele, between laughter says that Ignazio is the most beautiful!

Since the last time I wrote a post, it’s amazing how many things our guys have done, but let’s try to retrace all their commitments.
Milan was also embellished with beautiful IL VOLO posters.
On December 17, Il Volo takes part in the presentation in Bologna of the new book by dear friend Bartoletti: ALMANACCO DI SANREMO. The boys were kind and affable to everyone.
At the end of the evening, Piero, Ignazio and Gianluca recorded a video message dedicated to Sinisa Miajlovich (coach of the Bologna football team, currently suffering from leukemia). Here are some of the beautiful words written by Bartoletti.
“When the presentation of a book ends with Il Volo that stands up to go to dedicate ‘Grande Amore’ to Arianna Miajlovich sitting in the front row (then asking her cell phone to send a private encouragement video to Sinisa) there would already be very little to be added. Yet before, there had been … everything else. Between participation, joy and even a little emotion. With the acquired certainty that the A of Almanac is the same as A of Friendship (Amicizia ): and also the A of Love (Amore).
Difficult to find the words to thank Gianluca, Ignazio and Piero who came on PURPOSE to give us their affection.”
Piero, Gianluca and Ignazio, have also been to visit an exhibition in Bologna, dedicated to Italian music “NOI, NON ERAVAMO SOLO CANZONETTE”.

On December 19th, Il Volo performed in Monte Carlo, in the “Christmas Time in Monte Carlo” event.
Then, Il Volo announces a surprise for all the fans, a freeandlive mini concert, which will be held on 20 December outdoors, in front of the Milan train station.
Unfortunately on December 20 there is a horrible weather, it rains a lot and there is cold wind, but as promised, the boys do the mini live as announced.
We must make a big and warm applause to the guys who performed despite the impossible weather, but also to the fans who attended, despite the cold, wind and tremendous rain.
On RAI1 there is a television program I SOLITI IGNOTI, which is done for charity purposes,TELETHON. During the broadcast there will be many guests, including IL Volo, the aim is to guess who the people are, through clues. In the end, Il Volo knows exactly how to guess and the result of the evening of the game and the phone calls from home will go to charity.
The program was a lot of fun, the boys also sang two songs. Many laughs. Here is a video of the whole evening.

During the Christmas holidays, Piero went to Cortina for a holiday in the snow, together with friends.
A nice piano arrived at Gianluca’s house and, in a short time, Gian cheered us up with this nice video, where he sings and PLAYS his new piano, good Gianluca!!
Instead on New Year’s Eve, a short video published byRed Ronniemade us discover Ignazio playing the guitar during a song with friends.
And on the first day of the new year, this beautiful video was released. It was done with the aim of sensitizing young people to turn the radio volume down or off while parking, because loud music could divert attention from the maneuver.

In short, a very busy period for Piero, Ignazio and Gianluca, but it did not end here, on January 3, they will be guests on RAI1 in the LA PORTA DEI SOGNI program, also they should be guests of PORTA A PORTA with Bruno Vespa.
I can’t wait to see them again at Porta a Porta !!

I want to apologize to all of you for being absent for a long time, without any explanation, from this site.
I am very sorry that this happened and that I was not present for Christmas and New Year greetings.
I have had a very difficult period, because of health problems in my family, which have not yet been solved.
It wasn’t very happy days, but I have thought of you all.
