The Flight Crew wants YOUR Input!

nottemagica-headerAs the guys start off their Notte Magica Tour in the United States, we are going to follow them in a new direction! We want your input – front and center! Any and all Flight Crew Members are invited to send us your personal insights, quotes about the concert, and any personal photos/videos from the concerts that you’d like to share. We’d like to make our concert posts extra special – from you and for you!

Leelee and I will be posting about the concerts and we have created a special GMAIL account for you to send us your stuff. It is: FlightCrew.NotteMagica2017@gmail.com .   (please be sure to note the “dot” between Crew and Notte) Here’s what we’d like you to do, send us a short quote, favorite moment, and a picture of the theatre/marquee with their name on it, if possible, etc. from the concert you attend as soon as possible after the show, or after the meet/greet, if you were lucky enough to attend. We will use as many as we can, but please do not be saddened if we do not choose yours – you can still write your impressions of the show in the comments section! For the quotes, we will use just your first name and state you are from, so please be sure to include that in your email. When sending your email, please include in the subject line: Venue/City/Date. If you have any further questions or concerns, please send to email above.

Ok Pennsylvania!! You are in the hot seat now for tonight!! As everyone knows, the first concert is always the most special and we want to know all about it. It has all the surprises; everyone is counting on you to tell us all the details! Will they tease us with some of their new songs?

Of course, we all wish we could be there with you tonight. For the lucky ones at the meet/greet, be sure to tell the guys we are waiting for them in every city!

Hope you have a great day getting ready, and relaxing, and doing your hair, and nails, and having a nice dinner, and trying on your special outfit/s once or twice, or three times – all the things that lead up to the anticipation! Is this your first concert? We want to know that, too! OMG! I get so emotional, I’m tearing up with joy and anticipation for you right now as I’m writing this, and I’m not even going for 2 weeks!

Have the best time of your lives tonight and stay safe when you get there, take a moment, look around you, take a deep breath, close your eyes, open them. Do this once or twice blue-nightduring the concert. Try to imagine, or remember, the night in Florence. It was a warm night, with a soft breeze, and the late afternoon sky; tinged orange and pink by the sun, turned into the beautiful deep blue of the night…

Also, see the “news on the new CD below” and

  1. Jana! Ok now I’m excited! In 10 days I’ll be picking up Leelee from the airport and 4 days later we’ll be sitting in the front row of the beautiful Fox Theatre watching the even more beautiful Piero, Gianluca, and Ignazio perform!

Jana, I love your art work at the top of the post! It’s really wonderful, I hope you use it again, and again.

The Crew may not know that Daniela is also “Stefy”.

Waiting for pictures and comments from the Crew! What fun!

    In the meantime…tomorrow…”Today”.

    1. Marie, Due to an unexpected hospitalization my daughter-in-law and her mom cannot attend the Detroit concert, so I have 2 Detroit PBS Il Volo concert tickets (not meet/greet) I would like to sell. I paid $300 and will take $100 for them. I live in the Cleveland area and the tickets should be coming in the mail next week. PBS always has good seats, but they cannot tell me the specific seat #’s until they get them from their vendor. They are floor seats. I DON’T want the seats to be EMPTY. Anyone interested?

    2. Oh how sweet. You’re all excited to pick me up at the airport. (Oh, you mean excited about Il Volo, don’t you)

  2. Jana you certainly described how I am feeling right now! I will be going to Easton with my son Michael.

  3. Ohhhhh, this is soooooooooooo heartwarming, the way you write it, Jana…..
    thank you sooooo much.

    1. Jana, i specifically mean, when you share with us precious tips like this —
“Have the best time of your lives tonight and stay safe – when you get there, take a moment, look around you, take a deep breath, close your eyes, open them. Do this once or twice blue-nightduring the concert. Try to imagine, or remember, the night in Florence. It was a warm night, with a soft breeze, and the late afternoon sky; tinged orange and pink by the sun, turned into the beautiful deep blue of the night…”

thank you for that, Jana. It’s precious advice, for many things

    2. oops, i forgot the first part, this too. very important. this is what i mean so precious… for the many other areas in our lives –

“Hope you have a great day getting ready, and relaxing, and doing your hair, and nails, and having a nice dinner, and trying on your special outfit/s once or twice, or three times – all the things that lead up to the anticipation!. . .”

  4. Great post Jana and Leelee! Can’t wait to read everyone’s quotes and insights. Loved your recollection of the warm night in Florence. Starting their World Tour in the U. S. is something special. The excitement and anticipation of each concert is something you never get tired of. Let the concerts begin!!

  5. Jana, I will be sure that my phone camera has lots of juice. The L.A. concert can’t come fast enough. I will have 3 friends who are first timers. Can’t wait for their reaction. Joanie G

  6. I’m getting chills reading everyone’s posts!! Wish it was me!! Relying on all the Flight Crew’s great stories, pics and videos!!

  7. Less than three weeks until my concert in Minneapolis. Can’t wait! A big and heartfelt welcome to the USA Gianluca, Piero, and Ignazio. I’ll be
    seeing you soon.

  8. Help Jana, choking with emotion. We are all waiting anxiously for the first comments of the concert.
Reading your description of the Magic Night evening in Florence, it seemed to be back in that beautiful night, warm and fresh and the sunset which made it even more beautiful Florence, ………, and those strong voices and delicate at the same time. Magnificent.
Before the coming of my “time concert” I still have much to wait, I recommend friends expect your impressions.

  9. Remember those of us on the east coast that 3rd hour of the Today show is at 10am. Set those DVRs!!

  10. Yes, I also anxiously await the first photos and comments from the concert tonight! My first concert will be in Chicago and I can’t wait. I hope I can keep my composure as I am tearing up right now just reading Jana’s post! Why is this happening to me?! I think I’m infected with IL VOLO-itis!

  11. Excitement, excitement, the blood pressure is rising at the thought of the boys being back in USA. Looking forward to all the future posts.

  12. Daniela, the picture that Gianluca’s mother took, is that the Easton Pennsylvania theatre?
If so, then that means she is on tour with them.
I wonder how many other relatives and friend’s will also be there.
I wonder if they are going to do the bus tour again.

    1. She did come with–there was a post on Facebook from Ernie wishing them both a good trip.

    2. Yes, Gianluca’s mom, Piero’s dad and Ignazio’s Alessandra. Sorry Marie.

      1. Exactly Rose Marie, you’re well informed. Rose Marie, if I could I’d take your tickets.

    3. It is the theater of Eaton during the tests.
      Mrs. Leonora is with Gianluca.
I’m sure that with Ignazio is Alessandra.
Did you see how beautiful they are?
Leonora posted a photo of Gianluca stratospheric.

  13. Thanks to all of you wonderful ladies for your posts, beautiful photos of our guys and giving us all we need concerning our special guys. My concert is Saturday at Radio City. I am breathless with excitement and cannot believe the long wait is finally here. I will be eagerly looking forward to hearing and seeing all the fans photos and reviews I know their concerts will be absolutely phenomenal. What a special fan club Il Volo has in all you special ladies (and gentlemen!)

  14. Thank you Jana, Leelee and Flight Crew for giving us Ilvolovers the joy of participating in sharing with each other our photos and reviews. IL Volo is very special and so are all of you. I can’t wait till Saturday night when these Three young men step onto the stage at Radio City. This will be an electrifying moment in itself. Yes , it’s been a long wait.

  15. I am glad they go on the Today Show but, as usual, they had to cut the second verse out of Nessun Dorma. Same old thing: more time for commercials (spelled “greed” ). Too bad, because that song is a short song even when they do the whole thing. Still in all one of the most beautiful love songs ever ! ! !

    1. I was disappointed too. I thought Christmas was a fluke. They hardly even acknowledged Il Volo when they were on stage with Jackie E. but when they did their own appearance it was the same. Why don’t they even try to interview them?? If they did they would see that there is much more them than good looks and incredible voice. Il Volo has grown and matured so much and they are very intelligent and well spoken young men. I hope someone gives them a chance. I’m so grateful that PBS interviews them, but it time the rest of America hear and learn about the magic and wonder that is Il Volo. I would love to keep things as they are. Every time I turn around they are involved in another project and expanding into other parts of the world. Greatness of this magnitude can’t be held back!!

    2. Hi Myron,
i saw the Today Show Nessun Dorma online last night. i am actually glad they cut it short for promo songs – both to save their voices and so when people go to the concerts, they see the whole thing. the promo shows are just a teaser. and the lady announcers love them so much also. just my thought.
      warm greetings
(i really like Nessun Dorma. but only by our boys!)

  16. Jana you do such a great job writing. Hope we get to see pictures of the boys in all the cities on the tour. Again our renewed crew is doing such a fantastic job posting.

  17. You have a good point about saving their voices. This repertoire is much more demanding than previous programs (which, of course, it is expected to be considering what music they are doing)
