As I had already announced, the TIM MUSIC AWARDS took place live on September 13th in the Verona Arena.
The date of the event was given only recently and Il Volo was invited to collect a prize, but as it was the possible days of Ignazio’s wedding, it was thought that Il Volo would give up, and instead, despite the 12th being the wedding day civil of Ignazio and Michelle, Il Volo participated, even opened the event in the Arena, which was then broadcast on RAI 1.

And here they are, splendid and always excellent, they opened the television program which began directly with them on stage, they performed a medley composed of short moments of CAPOLAVORO, FRAMMENTI DELL’UNIVERSO and WHO WANTS TO LIVE FOREVER, sensational!!!
The only ones who performed with a real orchestra behind them.
Dressed in a casual-elegant way, Piero, Gianluca and the new groom Ignazio gave a great performance.
At the end of the performance they were joined by the two presenters, Carlo Conti and Vanessa Incontrada who, after the usual greetings and questions, congratulated our young men.
Ignazio admits that it is the first event he has attended as a married man.
Ultimately they send a message of encouragement to young people to always pursue their dreams.

These days right after Ignazio’s wedding party, the weather in Italy was really bad, a lot of rain came for several days and there were also floods.
One of the first days of this weather instability brought a discharge of lightning to Abruzzo and one of these struck the bell tower of Montepagano, 😩 Gianluca’s town, causing damage, and this is why Gianluca made an appeal to the authorities responsible for the restoration work to begin soon.😍

Congratulations to our lovelies for winning another award THE TIM AWARD from RAI! ILVOLO never disappoints us, what can I say, I am an OLIVA NEWTON-JOHN fan! Gian, Ignazio and Piero complemented her voice beautifully on a truly meaningful and beautiful song, their hearts never stop expanding with love and compassion. Now having cancer myself (hopefully a survivor) I’m deeply touched by the recording and love listening to it. Oh how I love these three beautiful men!
Michelle’s words to Ignazio were even more beautiful then his were, young love, I remember it well…..and miss it now that mine has joined so many of of our families.

Loved the new song. Wonder how those three squeezed in an awards ceremony between wedding festivities! They are amazing.
Michelle seems so perfect for Ignazio. When I first saw her photo, I saw a sweetness and sincerity along with those dimples! She was pretty with little makeup and seemed not to be totally wrapped up in herself.

Daniela & Pat – thank you seems inadequate for all the tremendous detail you have put into this editorial – it is rich with many interesting items you write about – first of all – I would like to say our dear young men Piero – Ignazio & Gianluca of whom we adore have voices that are improving daily & are crystal clear with none of the usual stage gimmicks they were back at the wonderful Arena Verona for their concert receiving a standing ovation for their well-selected repertoire I loved the planets in the background behind the boys which gave a heavenly quality to everything – the awards Piero – Ignazio & Gianluca received were outstanding – very unique – very stylish & well deserved – the song ‘My Dream’ was certainly reproduced with much sensitivity – John Brickman could not have chosen better than Piero – Ignazio & Gianluca to sing this lovely tribute for Olivia – the song has a stunning ethereal quality about it & she will be more than happy watching from the Eternities – Gianluca seemed very anxious about the Bell Tower damage in Montepagano Abruzzo – Gianluca need not worry – this place I should think is World Heritage status & will be repaired professionally – thank you Daniela & Pat for this extremely good article – the photos were well selected – colourful & full of fun to look at – one last thing – the interview with the boys that took place in Poland was great – in English too – very much appreciated – love you girls til next time take care.

Albeit the date of the TIM Award Show didn’t exactly fit well with the guys’ schedule I am so delighted that they were rewarded for – as I understand – Best Live Performance”. It must mean a lot to them and it is indeed a recogniztion by the Italian music industry/people, I should say. Congrats to the guys – so well deserved. PS: Does anyone know if the award relates to any specific live show of theirs – or is it “in general” as such?
And yes what a surprise to learn of the Olivia Newton-John collaboration project – “Dream”. It is a beautiful song. The IL VOLO voices are a perfect match for the dueting part. And – of course – I do appreciate their participation in such a charity project -so much in line with their outlook on life. However, I am very much surprised that we haven’t received any purchase calls nor direct link fora download from their organization – and even more that it isn’t even mentioned anywhere on their website! Neither as news nor on the CD-overview!!! Isn’t it rather odd? This is a charity project with the aim of collecting money for a fine purpose – cancer research – why on Earth aren’t we being “bombed” with purchase calls???
And oh yes – such sweet words from Michelle to her Ignazio. They are for sure so much in love with each other – and I can only hope and wish for them that it will last and that they shall be able to celebrate their 46th Wedding Aniversary one day – just as my husband and I did a few weeks ago.

I do of course know from where I can personally download the song – my surprise and question goes, however, as to why Il VOLO isn’t doing anything to promote the song and purchase of same. Why haven’t they mailed us info with link suggestions, why isn’t it mentioned on their website? Cannot find a word about it either under news nor the discography. The major purpose of the release is to raise money for cancer – a very worthy cause that need all the attention it can… so with a fan base as huge as the one of Il VOLO they could easily get most of us to download it and hence bring in million of dollars in support – but they do nothing… This really puzzles me and make me wonder why they have participated in the project if their involvement stops there… I haven’t heard the song in Danish radios which is likewise strange as just the fact that a new song with her is big news and should catch attention. Sorry that I am rambling along here, but the cause is so important that it shouldn’t be neglected and no opportunity to raise funds be used. And Pat my father died from cancer and both my husband and I have had operations due to cancer, so yes, of course I want to be part of this project albeit I do normally donate at the big Stop Cancer Show Danish TV present annually. Dear Kirsten, here are some answers, The TIM Awards best live was certainly for the concerts that were held in the Arena and were also very successful on television.
I must also tell you that the TIM Awards also reward the gold and platinum records that are obtained based on streaming listens and in this, unfortunately, Il Volo does not excel, we fans of Il Volo prefer to buy the real records, while the kids they connect countless times to Spotify and other sites for music (lists that are often inflated with online tricks) and singers who perhaps deserve to crawl on the ground in front of the skill of Il Volo, obtain platinum records galore, while Il Volo has obtained just a few days ago the gold record for Capolavoro!!! NO COMMENT!!
My Dream is a really beautiful song and a project for a noble cause, I can’t tell you why it isn’t sponsored, at least mentioned on the Il Volo sites, but we have said several times that the official pages are not at all reliable for news, let’s definitely better for us fanpages!!

Kirsten, I don’t understand the reason for this reticence either, but if you want my opinion, the moment I heard about the song I thought, “what a noble cause, but you’ll see that the radio won’t talk about it at all, they will continue to play those horrible songs undaunted of raps sung with autotune”. And in fact it is like this, not even a mention of this beautiful song and if Il Volo did it, the journalists would say that they do this type of charity to have a gain in terms of advertising, I’m sure. Maybe you don’t know that in November they will be in Chile on 8 and 9 November again for a charity event (Telethon. Cl) but you will see that no one will mention it on our Italian radios!!
However it is likely that the agreement for the advertising distribution of My Dream was left to Jim Brickman, on the other hand our guys on their personal pages made a post about the release of the song.
