Personally Speaking~Mastering the Blue Steel Pose

Blue Steel

The guys must be studying up on how to perfect the Blue Steel pose taken from the infamous modeling move of Ben Stiller in the movie Zoolander.

According to wikiHow to do anything…here are the steps to practice to be the coolest, have charm and be simply irresistible!

  1. Strike a pose.  Pop your collar and grab a handful of attitude.  Spike your hair if you have time to plan ahead.

  2.  Tilt one of your shoulders towards the camera.  If there’s no camera, aim for the person who’s the target of your killer pose.

  3. Face the camera.  Look head on at the camera or your target.  Don’t even THINK of blinking.

  4. Pucker your lips.  You want an insouciant blend of boo-boo lips, lemon sucking and kiss.

  5. Suck in your cheeks.  Suck hard so your cheeks cave in.

I think it is safe to say the guys are ALREADY the coolest, charming, simply irresistible young men on the planet even WITHOUT the Blue Steel pose!

To have your photo taken a bazillion times since being a youngster and ALWAYS have it turn out good is simply remarkable.  I would guess there must be a so-so picture of them floating around somewhere, but you sure don’t see them very often.   No matter what the guys are doing they always seem to look great in their photos, many of which are impromptu or a paparazzi style picture.  Everywhere they turn there seems to be a camera waiting for a glimpse of them. Even doing their Meet and Greets you rarely see a photo where they are not ready and smiling at the camera right on cue.

It is fun to look back at their first Detroit PBS special and see the serious, reserved nature of their performance and compare it to their performances of today.  Wow!  What a change. As they have grown and matured they have become good friends of the camera and it shows in their every move.  Italians

The Blue Steel look is all fine and dandy, but I much prefer the MESMERIZING ITALIAN LOOK!  How about YOU?

Il Volo Las Vegas  A few more photos. This time with my aunt was special from beginning to end. It was my first time seeing the boys in concert and it was beyond incredible. Their music was a balm to my heart bringing me closer to my mother with every song they sang. They have awakened in me an even deeper appreciation of how music can inspire & heal. Thanks for the great trip Aunty! We had the time of our lives!:)   Laura

I also have to add this little note from Gale:

I just wanted to let you know I recruited two more that attended the Oklahoma City concert and now are Il Volo vans.  Janet and Terry, her husband.
The concert was great and I wouldn’t have missed it for anything.   I hope some day to attend another concert and Meet and Greet.    Love Il Volo.

Personally Speaking~Solidarity~Mary Bohling

Piero Bentley

One of the many things that we love about our boys is the great camaraderie that they have for each other.  It is amazing how these three who only became acquainted through the unexpected foresight of someone in the music business, have become, as they, themselves, say, like “brothers.”

Like brothers they kid around, tease each other, sometimes come to blows, embrace affectionately, share life experiences, and show, in so many ways, how much they care for one another.

Interesting that three such different personalities have been able to meld together in one such cohesive entity as IL VOLO…Gianluca, so painfully shy, Ignazio, so painfully (ha) outgoing, Piero, so “take charge.”  Somehow they have all learned from each other and been able to maintain the beautiful solidarity of IL VOLO.  Gianluca has overcome much of his intrinsic shyness due to exposure to and encouragement from his brothers.  Gianluca and Piero have tried to tame Ignazio down to a tolerable level, (don’t go too far with that guys–we love his craziness) as seen in their interaction with him on stage.

In spite of the rigorous lifestyle, with its many challenges, not the least of which is living in such close proximity during the tours, they have seemed to have been able to maintain their strong bond of affection.  We love to see them having fun together.

We even like to see them being a little bit miffed at each other–it proves that they are, after all really human.  And we like them that way.  With all of the fame and fan adoration they strive to show us just that–their humility and appreciation for what life has given them.  What they said about themselves, “three voices, one soul” really says it all.

Greetings from Zdena

February and March were so busy for our site that I had to hold some nice articles back.  Here’s one.

I am not editing this very much.  I only wish I had as fine a command of a second language.  It’s perfect the way it is.

Hi friends, maybe you have some have heard of the BAMBINO DI PRAGA or JESULUS PRAGENSIS or INFANT JESUS OF PRAGUE.  Original 48 cm statue is located in Czech Republic in Prague at the Church of Virgin Mary the Victorious.  Architect of the temple was probably Giovanni Marie Filippi – Italian by birth. Copies of the statues are found in all parts of the world.  Statuette comes from Spain and according to legend, it gave St TERESA of JESUS – the founder of the Discalced Carmelitas – but it is a long history…

Carmelite sisters regularly Bambino dress – Catholics still bring a new dress – Bambino has more than 100 different outfits.  Visit the church every year about 2 million faithful who come to pray and give thanks for being heards pleas.  Pope Benedict XVI visited Prague September 26, 2009 year and gave Infant golden crown.  Jesu now has three different crowns.

My personal plea to Infant Jesus is that all friends which you go on a long journey to be able to spend a few moments with our beloved boys returned health and well in their homes!

All together ask weirs to protect G+I+P on their travels supplied them with strength, energy, health and so on.  Of course for their families and all the great people around them who prepared them and ensures great career.  And if any of you visited Prague do not forget to visit also our BAMBINO.

JESU can have had to do miracles and meet request cordially greets!

Do They Know?

Serving up a flashback for you today.  Unless you’re in the same room with Them… It doesn’t get any better than this!  Thanks for reminding me Ann.

I know many of you have seen this sweet, sweet video.   Look again… What a wonderful surprise for small fan, Francesca!  What a moment for Gianluca!  Is it possible that these guys still don’t realize how special they are?  Watch Gianluca toward the end.   I think, when he cries, he gets a glimpse of just how much he is loved and it overwhelms him.   Heck, it overwhelms me and I don’t understand a single word they’re saying!  I think greatness is like that… It just sneaks up on you, takes you by surprise and there it is!  Doesn’t it Gianluca?
