Today Daniela emailed us a website link to RAI 1 TV. Here is her note:

I have been watching the show, In Vita in Diretta, all morning. There are quite a few folks on stage commenting about the Sanremo Festival. They are also interviewing some of the people performing at tonight’s event. At one point I saw the guys of IL VOLO outside the studio sneaking behind Sting as he was being interviewed by a lady named Barbara. You couldn’t miss Gianluca’s bright yellow sweater with BLIND FOR LOVE on the front! I was hoping they would interview them too and sure enough a little while later Barbara was climbing into their van to speak with the guys and Michele Torpedine, their manager. The transmission starts at 8.35 pm tonight Sanremo time.

This just in! A message just popped up on my Instagram saying, “Tonight headed on the Facebook page, pierobaronehouseteca_ufficiale, we give the chance to those who can’t connect in euro vision to see the boys of IL VOLO.” You might try that as another way to view the broadcast.

ALSO! Gianluca just posted on Instagram that they will sing at 9:30pm Sanremo time! Looks like the guys will be performing an hour into the broadcast tonight.

(Ciao a Tutti! – Sanremo is being televised on RAI! If you get the channel on your cable, you should be able to record, or at least watch it! I am recording all the days from Tuesday to Saturday!)

HEAR, HEAR, is official, IL VOLO will be in Sanremo.

We all hoped that sooner or later was given this wonderful news, and now it is a reality. Wednesday, February 7, Piero, Ignazio and Gianluca, will return on stage of the Ariston after three years from their beautiful and unforgettable victory.

What will they sing? We do not know, but we all know that we will be tuned that night on that program and that our hearts will beat in unison with the hearts of the boys.

Here is the article published in the newspaper Sorrisi e Canzoni:

Unlike previous editions, Baglioni has decided to maintain a greater reserve on its guests (and on which evenings they will perform) and has set a rule for foreigners: they must perform with a tribute to Italy. It will be in fact what they will do Sting (accompanied by Shaggy ) and James Taylor .

As announced by Sorrisi for several weeks, this year they will return to Sanremo, as super guests, the guys from Il Volo who will perform on Wednesday evening.

Among the other Italian stars, however, the presence of Laura Pausini is certain , which on Tuesday evening will celebrate the 25th anniversary of “La solitudine”. On the stage will also go up Biagio Antonacci , Gianni Morandi , Gianna Nannini , the Negramaro, Giorgia and the trio formed by Max Pezzali, Nek and Francesco Renga . There will certainly be Antonella Clerici , who after the Festival will present the show “Sanremo young”.

During the first evening Fiorello will also be a guest , as announced by himself on Radio Deejay . Nino Frassica , instead, will be a guest on Thursday evening in the shoes of the beloved Marshall Cecchini, his character in «Don Matteo».

And here’s how Valeria Bosch has interpreted the thought of all of us.

Here they are, finally, gathered in Bologna. Today I understood one thing: it is more than fair that they have their times and their spaces in which to live and relax each on their own, but what do you want I tell you, being a fan also means being jealous and possessive. I prefer them so when I see all 3 together, I feel calmer, more “guaranteed” that everything goes well, that the guys work together, that their “wonderful adventure” continues. Now we are anxiously waiting for them to participate in Sanremo. For us volovers the Festival is all contained there, in those few minutes in which we will be allowed to enjoy their art, their song, their emotion. We do not know what they will choose to sing, nor what the comments will be in the press. We are sure of one thing: when they are on stage they will be accompanied by thousands of hearts, scattered throughout Italy and the world, who will fight in unison with them and the applause thunderous and enthusiastic of who will be present in the theater. The public admires them, wants them, loves them, as demonstrated by the tour that last year saw them triumph under all the skies of the planet.

Backstage of L’Amore Si Muove by Daniela

Oblivion (the company that made the videos of IL VOLO) has published this video.

This is another backstage of L’AMORE SI MUOVE, but this time the boys were filmed during a stop of filming, in Piazza di Montepagano.

We all know how Gianluca is proud of his Montepagano.

I will translate his short speech.

Leafing through here and there, I found these beautiful thoughts of a girl who met Gianluca on the beach of Roseto. Her name is Valeria, another Valeria, Valeria Tirelli and her favorite is Gianluca.

With his warm, velvety voice, he caresses the soul’s cords.

With his sweetness, with his kindness, with his generosity in wanting to give you a smile, a word, a hug, he steals your heart.

I’m really happy to have had the opportunity to meet Gianluca Ginoble.

Because I did not meet the famous singer, but he, Gianluca, the “normal” guy, the one who did not change (and I hope it never happens) from the huge, well deserved success achieved along with the other guys from Il Volo.

Together, they enchant audiences around the world with those wonderful voices. Meeting Gianluca face to face, he has enchanted me.

Impossible not to be touched by his way of being, so humble, so normal, or by his sweetness, which you perceive in every gesture, in every look, in every smile.

Gianluca is the furthest you can be from how, a bit all of us, we imagine are the famous people.

If, as happened to me, you have the good fortune to meet him outside of the official occasions, you feel on your skin of having in front of you, a very special boy. He is kind and helpful, curious and attentive to anyone approaching him to say hello, for a photo or an autograph.

Even if he is in a hurry, he does not deny a few minutes of his time to anyone, ever, going (and it is something that I would like to underline, having lived it in person) far beyond what would be “normally” due to the fans.

So I thank him for his time, for the photo, for the autograph, for those few minutes in which he spoke with us, treating us in a very exquisite way and giving us a precious moment to put in the album of memories.

I hope I’m lucky enough to meet him again.

I am convinced of one thing: only true great artists, and only those who have the merit of being beautiful souls, like Gianluca, are able to enter people’s hearts in this way.

And once they enter, they stay there forever.

~Piero Inaugurates The School of Naro~ by Daniela

In these days, the middle school was inaugurated in Naro, and Piero was present.

The school was already existing but was closed for several years due to restructuring.

In this video that I send you there is the speech that Piero has done in front of the students and their parents.

When I was in elementary school, they told me that in the first year of middle school teacher NISI had the students sing, so this was the exam I had to overcome, and I could not wait to start middle school.

I found myself in the first desk and teacher Nisi says “Piero Barone, sing!” and I sang such UN AMORE COSI’ GRANDE as the first song.

So you guys are in good hands. Of course I do not hide that my favorite moment of the school day was the recreation for to eat the sandwich or lunch time. I did not like the gym because I was that chubby.

Today I see so many guys that I meet on the street and maybe many do not know them, but the heart is filled with joy to see many guys with musical instruments.

This is the message that I always try to send to children and especially parents, to give a musical instrument to their children. Today the majority of the time we spend in front of the phone and we waste a lot of time.

Congratulations really guys, because we see that there is so much effort, so much dedication. Congratulations to the teachers because it is not easy for you students “to play the musical canon” that is, each chasing a different time.

I trained at your age with the choir in Agrigento, but the message is addressed to you students, who can always try to play an instrument, to learn something about music, even in art and even in the gym with physical education , because it is from the small things that the great passions are born.

Congratulations to those who have done this wonderful job. I remember this school in which I spent a year, “a year or two years?” (asks confirmation to the teacher Nisi who confirms one year) then there was the restructuring.
