X Factor? I Think Not! ~ Daniela

This is all translated from Italian.  Please remember the sentence structure is a little different than English. ~ Marie

Daniela Writes:

Maybe not all of you know that on September 15 in Italy began the first episode X FACTOR (a musical program of new talent that are evaluated by four judges ).

The judges of this edition are all new. One of them is an Italian rapper who perhaps you do not knows (I think) his name is FEDEZ.  He is a tattooed guy who has a great following in Italy.
A Romanian competitor has presented the song GRANDE AMORE sung badly, but what bothered was not the performance but the comment of the rapper who said quote:

“The intention was good but not the song. I sorry.  THIS WAS A FLIGHT LOW COST. THIS IS WHAT DOES IL VOLO IN THE WORLD”.

X Factor 10, the first episode: Manuel Agnelli revelation Fedez hassles Il Volo [PHOTOS]

Is not the first time that FEDEZ says nasty things to IL VOLO.  The fans are very angry about this thing and have made many negative comments to Fedez.

“… carry this ugly incident occurred during the 1th episode of ‘ x factor ‘, because we will always remember who’s fedez’ and to send you… not to watch this programme until the character in question will be part Of the jury!
Mr. (Mr? ) Fedez is able only to insult and – above all – a ‘ Crow’s world for the successes achieved by our boys, Italian pride in the world.”

Another:

“Unhappy sentence instead for fedez that he should be the first on the performance of the competitor dumitru on the notes of ‘ great love of the trio’s flight is: ” the intention was there, but the song no. I’m sorry. This was a low cost flight. This is what makes the flight’s in the world “.
Words that are not liked to the fans of Ignazio Boschetto, Piero Barone and Gianluca Ginoble: ” seemed more insulting than anything else. A word of advice, when you’re on TV, watch what you say “, ” Fedez has just insulted is the flight to x factor. I have a memory lapse: how many sanremo music festival has won fedez? I don’t remember “.
Maybe it’s just a misunderstanding?

The day after, Michele Torpedine, who discovered and manages Il Volo, wrote an article in answer to the fact, signing “the former Andrea Bocelli manager.”

Looking for a job? Come into the world of music. There own place to everyone!

“Yesterday I saw the first episode of X Factor but we just do not.

Always I see the same faces, maybe there is something new, but I do not think the situation has improved.

Let’s start with Manuel Agnelli, copy of Marylin Manson and leader of Afterhours: I do not know what he did in music, but do not think I’ve seen great achievements made by him or his group.  Following Arisa, which by the way I respect as an artist: he has a beautiful voice, but I do not think it is in a position to judge or to build the fate or the future of new talent or new singers.   Going forward, Alvaro Soler, miracle with a single (I’m curious to see what happens with the second).  I am convinced that we can not sit at a table on the first single to judge any future colleagues just for the fact that it sold well with a single track.

I wonder, how do you make a table to judge a singer who had a 25th place in Spain and mediocre outcomes across Europe, and of course a great success in Italy?  In the end, ‘the genius’, Fedez, who with music has nothing to do. You may also register for the 5 Star Movement, and go talk to Grillo around, but certainly not to judge the future of a singer.

Among other things, I remind you that last night you are allowed to judge a group like Il Volo, saying after the hearing of an awkward competitor who sang ‘Big Love’ (Un Amore Cosi Grande ~ Marie) (for other selected from them), this is the effect that Flight manufactures in the world.

But what other Italian repertory works in America? her by chance (as in America there are the originals that he tries to imitate)? You should also know that the beautiful singing, opera and pop Italian Italian original products and are recognized around the world.

However even as he said that shit, Il Volo was a guest of America’s Got Talent (15 million viewers) and at this time is in first place in the American charts. Too bad for him, that a record level does not even know what it is selling in the world, its sales ranging from Macerata to Varese and I think no further.
Then what he sells is only a ‘spoke’: can not be called a singer, not a musician and does a job that has nothing to do almost anything with the music, but … miracles do happen.

So I always say: ‘If you look for work and you do not know what else to do, come in the music world. There is room for all its’.  Until next.”

Response former manager Andrea Bocelli.

Personally Speaking ~ An Idol Becomes a Friend ~

14199267_10210652398374918_6948883680929669998_n

This beautiful picture of Andrea Bocelli’s son Matteo,  Gianluca, Andrea and Ercole, made me think of this meaningful quote by Wilma Rudolph,  a famous American track and field sprinter.

“Never underestimate the power of dreams and the influence of the human spirit.  We are all the same in this notion: The potential for greatness lives within each of us.”

We all know that Andrea Bocelli has been an idol of Gianluca’s since he was very young.  Who can forget the heart warming reaction Gianluca had when  Andrea congratulated him on winning the Ti Lascio Una Canzone competition?  Gianluca was not the only one shedding tears during that beautiful moment.

Seeing this photo of the two of them together made me think of the “greatness” they both possess, the power of Gianluca’s dreams and the important  influence this person had in Gianluca’s life.

Born with poor eyesight, Andrea became permanently blind at the age of 12 following a football accident.  As a young boy he showed great passion for music.  At the age of six, he started piano lessons, and later, also learned to play the flute, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, guitar and drums.  Then, when his nanny, Oriana, gave him the first record of Franco Corelli, he realized that pursuing the career of a tenor was his destiny.  By the age of seven, he was able to recognize the famous voices of the time and tried to emulate the great interpreters.

Like Gianluca, Bocelli also spent time singing during his childhood.  He gave his first concert in a small village not far from where he was born.  At the age of 14, he won his first song competition, the Margherita d’Oro in Viareggio with “O Sole Mio.”  Does this not sort of parallel what we know of Gianluca’s start in singing?

Andrea has gone on to show the world his greatness not only in music, but in philanthropy and charitable work.  Gianluca has been doing the same giving of his time and talent to various charitable organizations and important causes close by his home town.

I see Gianluca being so positively influenced by not only his extraordinary parents and family, but by watching and learning from this great man as well.  Andrea gave him powerful words of advice upon winning that memorable competition...“Always think with the mind, Sing with your voice and listen to your heart.”   Look where the power of his dreams has brought him to this day.

When introducing Andrea Bocelli during one of her Christmas specials, Celine Dion said, “if God would have a singing voice, he must sound a lot like Andrea Bocelli.”  I think it’s safe to say the same when talking about the voices of the men of Il Volo.

And the winning bid goes to….?

It was August 24th, the PBS night of magic.  We had just finished seeing the guys, and we were waiting to imagego into the taping area.  Mary had just received her present of the Il Volo welcome sign.  A few moments later, Michelle wheeled out this beautifully framed picture signed by Gianluca, Piero, and Ignazio!  She said they would be auctioning it off on ebay next week.  Wow, I thought, so cool!  I wonder who will bid on it?  I wonder how much it will go for?  The auction was up for 10 days – wow, that seemed like a long time?  Guess they wanted everyone to have ample time to bid – and save up for it!  Finally, the 10th day came – it was Monday, September 12th

Lorna was seated at her computer.  Anxiously waiting… She got an email with the latest bid; it was $615!  Twenty-one minutes to go.  I’m not sure if I’m the highest bidder, she thought.  I better add a little more to it, just in case!  Ok, I’m the highest bidder now!  She waited and waited…finally, she 3-guys-pbswatched the seconds count down.  Three, two, one, zero!  Ok, did she get it?  She dared not look again.  Ding!  Her email just went off.  YES!  She WON!  It was hers for $620!

I am sitting here now with Lorna, the excited winner of the signed picture of Il Volo from the Una Notte
Magica in Firenze.

Me:  So, Lorna, tell me, when you saw Michelle wheel out the signed picture, what did you think?

LornaOMG that’s too gorgeous. I would really love to have that to look at day after day in my own home! But I was leery about the price.

Me:  So, what changed your mind?

Lorna:  I had just come into a small pile of money and thought, why not? When will I ever have a second chance?

Me:  That’s a true Ilvolover!   When you finally got the link to the picture on ebay, what did you think of the initial bid suggestion?

Lorna:  It did seem a little high, but it was one-of-a-kind, so…. I started thinking of ways I could afford it. Just like I afforded my trip to Italy!

Me:  Bidding on items on ebay can be nail-biting, what were you feeling during the bidding process?

Lorna:  I checked every day, sometimes several times a day. There were very few bids. Didn’t ever think I’d really get it, though.

I checked back several times and my bid was remaining the high bid. The last time I looked there were 21 minutes left so I kicked it up a bit and won!

Me:  Did you set a price limit for yourself, saying you won’t go higher than a certain amount?

Lorna:  Yeah, well, my Il Volove got the best of me.

Me:   When you got the notification that you won, what did you think?

Lorna: I was just beyond thrilled that I had actually won the auction.  Sure, it will put some other bills on the back burner, but we must consider what is MOST important in life!

Me:  After you knew you won, did you know how long it would be before you got it?

Lorna:  I’m driving out there on Monday, September 19th to pick it up!

Me:  Well, Lorna, where are you going to put this new prized possession?

Lorna:  I have the perfect spot for it on a large wall in my living room. Now I can say buongiorno, buonasera, and buonanotte, to the guys everyday!

And, there you have it folks – Il Volo,
