Since they returned to Italy, Ignazio, Gianluca and Piero have not had a break.
In Turin, they did a private concert for a corporate event.
And here, we have a few short videos.
Then they were guests in the broadcast VIVA RAIPLAY, conducted by Fiorello.
But how are they dressed ????
Of course they are THE DARK VOLO BAND. 😁
In this short video the boys say that only Fiorello managed to dress them like this, and they recommend watching the show if you want to know what happened.

What to say, they were fun, in their imitation of rapper singers, they sang famous song phrases, rap style ….. hilarious !!!
Very good also in the movements and those clothes, too funny!
And what about the beautiful Queen song? “We Are The Champions”, wonderful !!!
I think the boys had a great time with Fiorello, who is a friend of theirs.
But the next day, in the morning, here they are guests at a radio program, RADIO2 SOCIAL CLUB.
And here is their participation in the program.
After the greetings, the boys are asked the thrill of having their photos on Times Square, and Ignazio says that it was very exciting to see their photos there.
The speaker, standing with glasses, is Luca Barbarossa, he is the author of the words of “IO CANTO”, which he had written for Pavarotti, but which was then sung by Placido Domingo with IL Volo, while the music is by Musumarra, which is the same author that wrote “Ave Maria Mater Misericordiae”.
Then the famous selfie with Pope Francis is remembered. Below, “Musica Che Resta” is played on the air.
On the way back, the boys sing “Arrivederci Roma” live.
The boys sang “Jingle Bell Rock” and then sang “Nel blu dipinto di blu” in Dean Martin version. Here is a video of snippets of the songs. There is no sound until about 12 seconds into the video.
In the end a good female singer, Frances and Il Volo, especially Ignazio, sang “Imagine”.
So here they are guests in the broadcast of RAI1 “20 years that we are Italian”.
In this beautiful broadcast, they presented a nice medley of their songs. And then, in the second part, Il Volo, along with Gigi D’Alessio sang a beautiful song by Modugno “Tu si na cosa grande”. Beautiful, all four very good.

As usual, Ignazio Gianluca and Piero, leave us speechless, with all these commitments, always carried out in an excellent way, and we are all very proud of them.

IL VOLO is in the United States!
After the photo shoot in New York, they flew to Miami.

About Last Night ….
THE BOYS of IL VOLO are in town and we got to have a lovely dinner and catch up at Morton’s in North Miami. Gianluca, Piero and Ignazio are looking great and singing better than ever (LIVE) as they are now in their early to mid 20’s. I first learned of them and worked with them when they were teenagers. Also, their longtime road manager & friend, Barbara Vitali was with them and it was nice to catch up, reminisce and look to the future. They have now been together as a group for TEN YEARS and have a new PBS special that you should look for … IL VOLO: Ten Years. CHECK YOUR LOCAL LISTINGS. I LOVE THESE GUYS and the foundation of our work and our friendship was rock solid, which is why we still stay in touch and see each other. Hey … BTW …. New York!!!! They’re playing RADIO CITY MUSIC HALL in February and are almost SOLD OUT … so get your TIX! They are the REAL DEAL!

Last week, IL VOLO took part in a television program in honor of Lucio Dalla, great Italian singer and author of the beautiful “CARUSO”.
The talented Valeria Bosch, has written a short and nice post about this event, and of course, here it is re-proposed for you.

(In this comment three great Italian singers who died prematurely, Lucio Dalla, Lucio Battisti and Fabrizio De Andrè, are cited.)
Let’s say that for Il Volo it was a test of maturity: in fact to examine them, there was Lucio (Dalla), the great Lucio. He told them right away, as soon as he saw them: “Guys, I’ll start, so you understand immediately what level you should take.” The boys, to feel up to it, found nothing better than to place there, immediately, a high note of Ignazio, that high note which, years ago, in the Verona Arena, had stunned him, making him exclaim: “Wow, what a voice!!!”
Then, “Gianlucathevoice”, velvet timbre and growing passion, and Piero, who, entering the musical context, with his power makes even the little clouds tremble up there, made Lucio understand that he could not worry: here are the ones to pass the baton to, three boys as seen from the outside, but three giants as to voice, to intonation, to passion, as soon as you hear them sing!
Lucio (Dalla) went to say it immediately there, in the heavenly pastures, to the other magnificent Lucio (Battisti) and to the great Fabrizio (De Andrè). They, the trio that reinvented Italian music in the second half of twentieth century, then quickly put themselves back at their paradisiacal pastimes.
They understood that, in the midst of rap, trap, indie and various amenities, there is someone who still saves Italian music. For the moment they can breathe a sigh of relief.

The promotional tour in Mexico has been very successful.
Many fans presented autographs from Mixup for the moment.
Surely Ignazio, Piero and Gianluca, will have been very happy with this beautiful participation of their fans. But unfortunately there was also an inconvenience for Ignazio, he was not well, he had a fever, he presented himself at the event, but at a certain point he had to leave, much to the disappointment of the fans, but then they understood that it was a health factor. Poor Ignazio …… this is the moment in which it is announced that Ignazio has left.
And here, at the end of the event, the moment when Piero and Gianluca have to leave the store, the fans didn’t go away, they waited for them.
In addition, the guys participated in various interviews and a press conference.
But also the promotion in Mexico is over and, fortunately, Ignazio is better, but the boys did not return to Italy, as it was already leaked, they arrived in the US.

Ignazio is amused, because he says that, unbeknownst to him, they have opened his own pizzeria! 😁😁😁
In this video, in front of RCMH, Ignazio says: “See you in a few months”, and Piero replies: “Look at the pictures I took!”
The delicious and irreplaceable Barbara, always with them.
In short, IL VOLO is right there, in the US, how wonderful!
Of the reason for their coming to the US, very little is known, they seem to have come to promote the new CD and the special that will be broadcast in a few days.
I really hope they do some nice TV shows.
