Hi Everyone,

How is everyone doing? Have you all survived “The Boys” leaving to go home? I know we’ve been sad, but happy for them. There are still some taped appearances coming up. Mlla has been gracious enough to send us pictures from Assisi. Those “Little Things” help keep us in touch! Il Volo also has another concert to do in Scala on December 18th.

Piero, Gianluca and Ignazio seem really happy to be home even with a few concerts to do before Christmas. We’re hoping after that they get a little R&R until after New Years!!! We’ll just have to wait and see.

Remember these dates 12/18, appearance on “The Talk” 12/ 25, appearance on the Disney Parade on ABC. There is still another christmas concert in a Basilica in Scala on 12/18, we’ll get you more information on that as we get it.

Though we miss them, it is so good to see and hear how happy they are to be with family, enjoy Guys, have fun!!

Christmas Gifts For Our Boys

Let’s Christmas shop!

If we could what would we give Our Guys?
Here’s my List:

1) Youth – They have crammed so much and missed so much in the past four years, I’d like to give them four more.

2) Good Health – I would like you to believe this gift to be selfless. However, I really don’t want them to miss a concert near me because of illness.

~~Wealth~~ – No, not important. Besides, they’ll have that.

3) Wisdom – To continue their career surrounded by positive influences.

4) Fun – Just because they deserve it!

5) Super Duper Glue – To stick them together…forever.

6) St. Christopher Medals – To keep them safe in their travels. They may already have this one.

7) An extra set of ears – So they can always hear how beautiful they sound.

8) Peace – In every aspect of their lives and what they bring to us and the world through their music.

9) A passel of children to sing to – well, maybe not this Christmas.

10) The Flight Crew – For love in abundance. This we can give with all our hearts.

Now, what gifts am I forgetting?

Hi Everyone,

Take a deep breath and wipe away those tears. The time has come for “Our Boys” to go home to their family and friends. Piero, Ignazio and Gianluca have given us the gift of themselves for more than a few months now. We have seen them live, seen some great videos and wonderful photos! We have all that to remember them by while they take a little time at home. We don’t know when they’ll be back here in America, but we’ll keep in touch the best ways we have. Remember Gianluca loves to keep in touch with his fans and Piero and Ignazio usually will send Tweets and the occassional Keek to let us get a glimpse of their lives. We respect their privacy, but we do like the little updates they share with us.

I thought you might like to see a little of where they call home!

Piero calls Naro a town in Sicily home. In his beloved Naro, Piero likes to hang out with his friends and his sister, Maria Grazia.

Ignazio goes home to Marsala, also in Sicily. He enjoys hanging out with his friends and driving his new car!

Gianluca calls the Hamlet of Montepegano, in the Abruzzo Region, home. When he’s home he enjoys going to the beach with friends and watching his brother, Ernesto play Soccer.

Dates coming up in Italy: December 14th, concert at The Basillica of St Francis of Assissi in Assissi, Italy. December 18th in Scala at The Bascillica di San Lorenzo. It is unsure if we can see these concerts here in the USA, but i’m sure there will be videos available on UTube.

Of course we’re all sad today, but the sadness is somewhat tempered by their joy in going home!! Until you come back again, Piero, Ignazio and Gianluca, stay well, enjoy your Christmas and God speed for your flight to Italy!!

OOPS got to run, have to find Marie!! The last I heard she was seen at the airport running after a jet heading for Italy!!

I’m Smiling Because …. 12/8/2013

Hey Everyone!

It’s been a little while since we last posted this feature. We’ve had a lot of exciting things going on and holidays and coverage of the guys as they make another promotional run in the US. But, I miss reading the comments, and I think we might need reasons to smile this week, so here we go. 🙂

We’re smiling because Connie, (Piratesorka) has shared her story about what Il Volo has meant in her life. Head over to the Experience section to read, “My Il Volo Discovery.”

And we’re smiling through our tears that the time has come for the guys to finally return home for a well earned, more than deserved and much needed rest from touring. We’re smiling because it’s time for them to get hugs from their mamas, spend time with the brothers and sisters that have missed them so and to hang out with their friends and just be “one of the guys” in time for Christmas.

Thank you, Gianluca, Piero and Ignazio for including us in this incredible journey you have taken in the last four years. Thank you for giving so much of yourselves–your talent, your time, your personalities, personal moments in your lives and so much love for your fans. It touches us more than we can say, but we hope that all the hugs, kisses, gifts and well-wishes we’ve sent show you a little bit.

And please say “Thank you,” to all of your family and friends… everyone that loves you so well, supports you so much and shares you so openly with us. I imagine it isn’t always easy to let you go when it is time, but we thank them from the bottom of our hearts for the gift of their loved ones they have shared with us.

Be safe, be happy, and we can hardly wait until you come back!

Why are you smiling?

The Angels at Disney World

They say a picture is worth a thousand words, so we can be sure Piero, Ignazio and Gianluca had a few laughs at Disney World! We are so happy the guys had some fun during their working visit, yet we are so disappointed that most Il Volo fans had no notice about the performance. There is no doubt many more of us would have been at Disney World to cheer them on!

The good news is, IL VOLO performed Feliz Navidad during the filming of Disney’s Christmas Day Parade at the Magic Kingdom Walt Disney World. ABC will air the parade on Christmas Day. The parade will also air on the American Forces Network and in Canada on CBC.
