SUMMARY OF CHRISTMAS EVENTS by Daniela

Since the last time I wrote a post, it’s amazing how many things our guys have done, but let’s try to retrace all their commitments.

Milan was also embellished with beautiful IL VOLO posters.

 

Summary 01

On December 17, Il Volo takes part in the presentation in Bologna of the new book by dear friend Bartoletti: ALMANACCO DI SANREMO. The boys were kind and affable to everyone.

At the end of the evening, Piero, Ignazio and Gianluca recorded a video message dedicated to Sinisa Miajlovich (coach of the Bologna football team, currently suffering from leukemia). Here are some of the beautiful words written by Bartoletti.

“When the presentation of a book ends with Il Volo that stands up to go to dedicate ‘Grande Amore’ to Arianna Miajlovich sitting in the front row (then asking her cell phone to send a private encouragement video to Sinisa) there would already be very little to be added. Yet before, there had been … everything else. Between participation, joy and even a little emotion. With the acquired certainty that the A of Almanac is the same as A of Friendship (Amicizia ): and also the A of Love (Amore).

Difficult to find the words to thank Gianluca, Ignazio and Piero who came on PURPOSE to give us their affection.”

Piero, Gianluca and Ignazio, have also been to visit an exhibition in Bologna, dedicated to Italian music “NOI, NON ERAVAMO SOLO CANZONETTE”.

On December 19th, Il Volo performed in Monte Carlo, in the “Christmas Time in Monte Carlo” event.

Then, Il Volo announces a surprise for all the fans, a free and live mini concert, which will be held on 20 December outdoors, in front of the Milan train station.

Unfortunately on December 20 there is a horrible weather, it rains a lot and there is cold wind, but as promised, the boys do the mini live as announced.

We must make a big and warm applause to the guys who performed despite the impossible weather, but also to the fans who attended, despite the cold, wind and tremendous rain.

22 December

On RAI1 there is a television program I SOLITI IGNOTI, which is done for charity purposes,TELETHON. During the broadcast there will be many guests, including IL Volo, the aim is to guess who the people are, through clues. In the end, Il Volo knows exactly how to guess and the result of the evening of the game and the phone calls from home will go to charity.

The program was a lot of fun, the boys also sang two songs. Many laughs. Here is a  video of the whole evening.

From Mexico, images of NAVIDAD ATZECA arrive, where Il Volo sings “O HOLY NIGHT”, recorded during their last visit to Mexico.

What a sweet and beautiful song, Christmas is coming !! ❤️

Ignazio, Piero and Gianluca extend their best wishes with this video.

Summary 10

During the Christmas holidays, Piero went to Cortina for a holiday in the snow, together with friends.

 

A nice piano arrived at Gianluca’s house and, in a short time, Gian cheered us up with this nice video, where he sings and PLAYS his new piano, good Gianluca!!

Instead on New Year’s Eve, a short video published by Red Ronnie made us discover Ignazio playing the guitar during a song with friends.

And on the first day of the new year, this beautiful video was released. It was done with the aim of sensitizing young people to turn the radio volume down or off while parking, because loud music could divert attention from the maneuver.

Very nice guys, who lent themselves to this video !!

In short, a very busy period for Piero, Ignazio and Gianluca, but it did not end here, on January 3, they will be guests on RAI1 in the LA PORTA DEI SOGNI program, also they should be guests of PORTA A PORTA with Bruno Vespa.

I can’t wait to see them again at Porta a Porta !!

Dear all,

I want to apologize to all of you for being absent for a long time, without any explanation, from this site.

I am very sorry that this happened and that I was not present for Christmas and New Year greetings. 

I have had a very difficult period, because of health problems in my family, which have not yet been solved.

It wasn’t very happy days, but I have thought of you all.

So even if late, accept my best wishes for a happy 2020 year, beautiful concerts are waiting for you!!

The promotional tour in Mexico has been very successful.
Many fans presented autographs from Mixup for the moment.

 

Surely Ignazio, Piero and Gianluca, will have been very happy with this beautiful participation of their fans. But unfortunately there was also an inconvenience for Ignazio, he was not well, he had a fever, he presented himself at the event, but at a certain point he had to leave, much to the disappointment of the fans, but then they understood that it was a health factor. Poor Ignazio …… this is the moment in which it is announced that Ignazio has left.

And here, at the end of the event, the moment when Piero and Gianluca have to leave the store, the fans didn’t go away, they waited for them.

In addition, the guys participated in various interviews and a press conference.

But also the promotion in Mexico is over and, fortunately, Ignazio is better, but the boys did not return to Italy, as it was already leaked, they arrived in the US.

Ignazio is amused, because he says that, unbeknownst to him, they have opened his own pizzeria! 😁😁😁

In this video, in front of RCMH, Ignazio says: “See you in a few months”, and Piero replies: “Look at the pictures I took!”

In short, IL VOLO is right there, in the US, how wonderful!

Of the reason for their coming to the US, very little is known, they seem to have come to promote the new CD and the special that will be broadcast in a few days.

I really hope they do some nice TV shows.

………. and maybe be careful, you could meet them on the street … wouldn’t it be great !! ❤❤❤

Many of you have probably already seen this traveling through Instagram and Facebook.  Here is a little more info from Daniela….. 🙂

Gianluca, Piero and Ignazio, are back in Mexico.
Impossible to keep them still, one day they are here and one day there.

Il Volo, as guests, is expected to attend the television program LA ACADEMIA, this evening  (Sunday) at 8 pm, Central US Time…on the Mexican  television network Azteca Uno.

Here is the link (see below), however, when I checked it out, you can access it, but it gives you an error.  I think you may have to sign up or register to see it.  Don’t do like I did and say no.  I did that and I cannot get it back 🙁 .  I have Bing and it also gave me the option to translate it into English, when I kept going in and out trying to get the other thing back, the option to translate to English also vanished!  🙁  P.S. ok, when I just checked the link, it let me translate it and also register/subscribe.  However, when I did it, I was still seeing error messages and the screen says to retry, but nothing happens….  We may not be able to see it….

For us Italians it will be night, but you can follow the live broadcast.

Also on Monday there will be a live Facebook, where you can send questions to the boys.  Wow, what else can we possibly ask about them?  Ok, I, Jana, do have one question…. out of all of their songs they chose, how did they come up with the ONE Christmas song of “O Holy Night” to add to their Best of 10 Years CD?  It does happen to be one of my favorite Christmas carols.  🙂  Just in case anyone is able to get through, can someone ask them that for me?  🙂

 

In this video, the boys warn that Tuesday will be at MIXUP Music Store to do their autographs.

 

Last night here in Italy, IL Volo was host to a transmission on Rai 1 dedicated to Lucio Dalla, author of Caruso.
The boys sang the splendid Caruso, in a virtual duet with Dalla.
Their contribution was registered, because the boys were already flying to Mexico.

Needless to say, the boys were fabulous, they sang a beautiful CARUSO so much.

 

Once again you have surprised us.
A splendid Caruso, yesterday and today already in Mexico and for a few days because the promotion continues …….. next stop, US. ❤

The concerts continue incessantly from one part of the world to the other and are all successes of public and love for IL VOLO.

The Italian musical group performed in the Sala Grande of the Cultural Center Miguel Ángel Asturias delighting hundreds of Guatemalans.

Il Volo is a group formed in 2009 and on this tour they celebrate their 10-year musical career.

The vocal trio of male singers is composed of the baritone Gianluca Ginoble, the tenor Ignazio Boschetto and the tenor Piero Barone.

Although Spanish is not their mother tongue, the group has managed to connect very well with its Latin American audience and all three speak this language perfectly.

Many of his successes are in Spanish and in the concert, in addition to exhibiting them, they also paid tribute to the late José José, whom they remember with great affection and respect.

That moment was one of the most cheered of the night and recalled that with the theme “EL TRISTE” they made themselves known to the Latin public on The Billboard of 2013.

This is the third time that Il Volo has appeared in Guatemala and again they have won the love of the Chapines (Guatemalans) with their simplicity, charisma and way of interacting with their public, in particular with their fans.

On several occasions, the three young people came off the stage to hug and kiss their followers, as well as asking some to come with them to interpret some of their successes.

Still changing songs, different languages, Piero, Ignazio and Gianluca are truly chameleonic artists.

I don’t know about you, but I like them a lot when they sing in Spanish. Actually I like them in whatever language they sing, I’m happy if I hear their beautiful voices.

WEDDING PROMISE WITH IL VOLO by Daniela

During one of the concerts in Mexico, exactly in Zacatecas, something very romantic happened, which perhaps not everyone knows about.

A boy, knowing that his girlfriend is a very passionate fan of IL VOLO, has seen fit to buy tickets for the concert, and then take her to Zacatecas.

But the surprises didn’t all end here.

During the concert, while IL VOLO was singing “WE ARE LOVE”, the boy led his beloved in the middle of the aisle (they had no seats ahead) and …

knelt down to make her the marriage proposal !!!

You have understood very well !!!
But then, romance still exists. ❤️❤️

Everything was captured by a video made by a photographer present at the concert, who commented:

“I never imagined that I would take pictures of a wedding proposal at a concert, and today I was an accomplice to this incredible moment, during the inaugural concert of the IL VOLO in Zacatecas National Fair. This can only happen in the Romantic City of Mexico.”

And here is the beautiful video.

I bet you all got emotional.

What sweetness, what love, and could not have chosen a better moment or better song

Even the security, which stopped them at first, then let them pass, also because Ignazio, Piero and Gianluca understood what was happening and made signs with their arms to let them pass.

At the end of their song, IL VOLO informed all those present that there was a marriage proposal and congratulated the future spouses.

Everything was really natural and very nice. Too bad there were barriers, otherwise I am sure that the boys would have made them go on stage and would have embraced them.

However, this makes us understand that even young people like to be romantic.

Women, who among you, would not have wanted a marriage proposal like this? With IL VOLO singing the soundtrack?

All are very good, especially the future bridegroom, I believe that his sweet idea will remain a great memory in his young bride for years to come.
