By way of explanation … the following is a somewhat rambling review by a relative newcomer to the Il Volo experience and its fan base. It also is my first experience of an outdoor Concert of any note, at home or overseas.
I am 84 and still teaching Pilates via the ChiBall Method twice a week. I am a retired teacher of Legal Studies to High School students. Widowed nearly three years ago I found Il Volo on YouTube … initial contact was Gianluca singing at age 14? … before the TV program where the boys met. His voice and eyes stopped me in my tracks. Astounding gift and commitment in one so young! with such a beautifully produced and sensitive baritone. I was hooked.
I cannot sing but I know good singing when I hear it. I trained as a classical ballet dancer until I was 19 but did not have good feet. But I know about commitment and discipline to an art form. I have loved movement and music ever since I can remember. I loved and love orchestral and choral music and light classics … 3 Tenors, etc.
Finding and researching the careers of Il Volo some 2 years ago has been a healing blessing to me; a genuine comfort.
I spent a week in Portugal at an Art Retreat as I enjoy painting and then, as planned, met up with my girls in London for 16 days in the UK and Scotland … we hired a car and the girls shared the driving. We shared wonderful adventures and experiences together and then flew from Edinburgh to Milan for 3 days. They knew that Il Volo was on my Bucket List of dreams and so we checked their program for Europe and added in the Italian episode to our trip. Lake Como and Brescia were unforgettable experiences … as for the Concert! Nothing beats hearing and seeing quality live performances, (and while I had hoped for Screen support for close up viewing) I found the venue was very beautiful and not overwhelming as some of the really large venues might have felt. I will treasure the experiences.
Meeting Daniela has been such a pleasing bonus to my holiday with my girls, Thank you for her role in my first outdoor Concert with Il Volo. I appreciated that she looked out for, found and guided me.

My daughter and granddaughter, who accompanied me to Italy from Australia for the Concert, have dubbed me as the late blooming 84-year-old Il Volo ‘groupie’. And now my Bucket List item can be ticked off and I am still smiling at the memories created by these three wonderful personalities who are now indeed gifted and experienced performers.
Recent reviews of the songs of the set, provided by Radio and Daniela, have covered the Concert so well I am not sure that I have any significant comments to add except to acknowledge that Piero was warm and charming beyond my expectations and Gianluca is indeed as handsome as I expected (close up at Meet and Greet) and Ignazio played the prankster to perfection.
And no one, experiencing a live Il Volo Concert, can doubt the quality, power and control of the voices or professionalism of these three exceptional singers. Individually and collectively they do more than entertain, they touch and uplift us, heart, body and soul.
Gianluca’s exquisite and emotive solo reduced me to tears. Piero was amused and unperturbed by the chiming of the clock. His easy connection with the audience surprised me a little as I had seen that as Ignazio’s strength. His voice … bliss.
Even though I don’t understand Italian, there on stage chat was entertaining, especially Ignazio teasing Gianluca regarding his necklace and “protesting” about the non- ticket holders watching from the windows surrounding the beautiful Loggia.
I am glad we got to see the Concert preparations, to hear the excellent orchestra rehearsing and to be met and guided by Daniela before the Sound Check… and yes, Ignazio did miss the sound check, but it was interesting to see Piero and Gianluca in “work mode”.
I somehow found it pleasing that the audience, including my granddaughter, did respond so well to the respected and anticipated songs. It was good that the set gifted us some of the songs in English and they were also received enthusiastically. I think my favourite Italian song was SE, the words of which I had tried rather unsuccessfully to learn. Did it matter? It did not. Our guys can sing in any genre and in any language and I hope they continue to expand their play list without compromising their goal to gift bel canto to the world. I was delighted to be part of the well-earned standing ovation at the end of the evening. Heartfelt thank you to all concerned in bringing Il Volo live to beautiful Brescia.
Getting back to Milan for the flight back to Australia the following morning was a little hair-raising, as were the lineups at Airports, but we made it … and it was all so very worthwhile and rewarding.
I am so glad we made the journey and would be delighted to welcome Il Volo and fans back to Australia sooner than later. Wrapped in a letter I left Piero, Gianluca and Ignazio some Aussie manuka honey coated macadamia nuts.

And so, September 6th has arrived, the day of the Brescia concert, an event that is very special to me because it is taking place in my hometown.
I don’t live in Brescia itself, but in a town in the province just 20 km away.
The concert is being held in Piazza Loggia, a beautiful square that reflects Venetian stylistic influences. The stage will be set up right in front of the Palazzo Loggia, which houses Brescia’s city hall.
In this post, I want to share my experience and review with you. Please bear in mind that the videos and photos I took with my phone aren’t high-resolution; you can certainly find better ones online, but here I’ll be using only my own.
I also signed up for the soundcheck. I don’t always attend them, but since we’re right here in Brescia, I wanted to do it this time. Plus, I’m hoping to meet Judy, a friend of ours visiting from Australia who will be attending her very first Il Volo concert!
It’s already past noon on the day of the concert, and the fan club still hasn’t given us a start time for the soundcheck. Then, the message finally arrives: we need to meet at the gate at 6:45 PM.
At 6:30 PM, I’m at Piazza Loggia. It’s unclear where we’ll be entering, so we wait for instructions. In the meantime, I try to spot Judy; I don’t know her or what she looks like, so I keep an eye out for anyone speaking English.
The person in charge of the soundcheck gathers us together and scans our tickets; I spot a kind lady and approach her, saying: “Judy?” She immediately replies: “Daniela?” Yes, we found each other!
This is something I truly appreciate about Il Volo, this way of building bridges between people who are so far apart, yet united by their love for music and for Il Volo in particular.
Judy is a truly lovely lady, and very sharp, too! While we wait, she tells me she traveled from Australia with her daughter and granddaughter—three generations in all. They stopped in England, then Milan, and were at Lake Como just yesterday.

I didn’t expect much from the soundcheck; Ignazio didn’t show up, though Piero and Gianluca were there. Piero rehearsed parts of a few songs, while Gianluca just did a bit of “A Mano a Mano” and then the whole of “Mi sono innamorato di te.” We couldn’t take photos or get close to the stage, which was cordoned off anyway. It was also very hot, and the session lasted about 45 minutes.
I said goodbye to Judy and rushed home, then returned with my husband for the concert, which started at 9:00 PM.
At 8:45 AM, there was still a long line at the entrance, even though everyone already had their tickets. Once inside, the square was packed; we quickly took our seats. We weren’t sitting together, I was in the second row, while my husband was more toward the center in the second row, and Judi was further back, about halfway through the seating area.
In the crowd, I immediately noticed Michelle arriving with little Gabriele, who recently turned one. I snapped a photo. Michelle is truly beautiful (the photo doesn’t do her justice), and Gabriele is adorable.💙❤️
Finally, the orchestra walked out to applause; the afternoon heat had given way to milder, slightly breezy weather, thank goodness!
There they were at last: following the orchestral introduction, a piece from *Carmen*, Piero, Ignazio, and Gianluca took the stage, and they began performing “Nelle Tue Mani” (from *Gladiator*).
I love this song and recorded a clip of it; you might notice a sort of mist in the videos from time to time, it was a cooling steam effect that would occasionally drift across the stage.
The songs pause for an orchestral interlude featuring *Cavalleria Rusticana*; this break also serves to mark the transition between the concert’s three segments, concluding the first, the more classical part.
The guys return, having changed their outfits; they take their seats and perform “My Way.”
Immediately following a beautiful introduction by Gianluca, in which he describes the power of music to evoke happy memories and remind us of loved ones who have passed away, he performs his solo: “Mi sono innamorato di te,” a stunning and intimate rendition delivered with a deep, rich voice.
Next up are the beautiful “Unchained Melody” and powerful Piero’s solo, “No puede ser.”
The guys joke around a lot with the audience, who are laughing and having a great time, such as when Piero starts speaking just as the bells of the Torre del Mangia in Brescia begin to chime, marking the hour of 10:00. 😂
The program continues with a duet by Ignazio and Piero performing the beautiful song by Albano: “È la mia vita.”
The guys look back on their appearances at the Sanremo Festival, noting that they’ve taken part three times: finishing first in 2015, third in 2019, and eighth in 2024 (with truly dismal voting results working against them). We all have a laugh as Ignazio jokes that things get worse every time, even acting a bit offended, while Piero reminds him that you can’t always win, but you still have to compete.
They then begin singing “CAPOLAVORO,” immediately followed by “GRANDE AMORE.” The entire audience sings along with them!
We are nearing the end of the concert, and it is time for the inevitable “Il Mondo”; the whole crowd is singing along with Il Volo, it is a real delight.
The guys wave goodbye and leave the stage, but only for a moment; the audience doesn’t even leave their seats, and the trio immediately returns to sing “Nessun Dorma.”
Now it is truly over; the audience is on its feet, offering thunderous applause.
Piero, Ignazio, and Gianluca introduce the Franciacorta Orchestra (from Brescia, they accompanied Il Volo throughout the tour), Maestro Savio (from Brescia), and Maestro Grani; then, they warmly bid farewell and thank the audience, who keep right on applauding!
I caught up with Judy, who was waiting for the Meet & Greet (I’m not attending); she told me she really enjoyed the concert, we’ll read her impressions later. I said goodbye to her, it was a real pleasure meeting her, however briefly, as she is heading back to Milan right after the Meet & Greet and has a flight to Australia tomorrow morning.
The concert is over, and my long-awaited day in Brescia has come to an end; I’m heading home with my ears and eyes filled with harmonies and beautiful moments. I’ll probably struggle to fall asleep, but perhaps I’ll relive the concert in my dreams.
In just a few days, Mantua awaits!

Il Volo captivates Piazza Loggia: a sell-out in Brescia featuring opera, *bel canto*, and pop
Piazza Loggia was packed for the Brescia stop of the 2026-2027 World Tour: the trio brought the Brescia Summer Music festival to a close before a multi-generational audience.
Piazza Loggia was packed and long lines formed in Brescia’s city center for Il Volo’s performance on Sunday, September 6. Piero Barone, Ignazio Boschetto, and Gianluca Ginoble wrapped up the Brescia Summer Music festival with a sold-out show featuring a mix of opera, Italian tradition, and pop songs.
The concert, which began at 9:00 PM, marked the Brescia stop of the group’s 2026–2027 World Tour. The date also appears on the trio’s official schedule and concluded the series of September concerts held in Piazza Loggia.
The audience began filling the city center well before the show started. The line stretched along Via Dieci Giornate, extending as far as Corso Zanardelli.
The crowd in the square included people of all ages—from couples to families—alongside fans who follow the trio across their Italian and international tour dates.
Il Volo in Brescia: from opera to their best-known hits.
On stage, Il Volo showcased the various facets of their repertoire. Alongside operatic traditions, the setlist featured Italian song classics, international covers, and hits from the trio’s own career.
Songs included in the World Tour lineup range from “Grande amore” and “Capolavoro” to selections from their operatic and pop repertoires. This reflects the musical structure specified by the Municipality of Brescia for the September 6th concert.
The formula remains the same one that has defined the journey of Barone, Boschetto, and Ginoble: three voices with distinct vocal ranges and a repertoire that spans generations.
The result in Brescia was a concert that drew an audience extending well beyond the traditional fan base of opera music.

Il Volo’s performance in Brescia marked the conclusion of the September leg of the Brescia Summer Music festival. In the days leading up to this, Piazza Loggia had hosted Fiorella Mannoia, Claudio Baglioni, Luca Carboni, and Pooh.
As for Il Volo, their schedule continues as early as Tuesday, September 8, at the Royal Palace of Caserta. Subsequently, the trio will return to Lombardy for the “Tutti per Uno” shows at Palazzo Te in Mantua.
The Brescia stop leaves behind, above all, the image of a sold-out Piazza Loggia, with the audience gathered in front of the stage until the very end of the show.

Il Volo’s vocal power captivates Brescia.
Their 2026/2027 world tour stopped at Piazza della Loggia, marking yet another sell-out.
In addition to a packed seated area and numerous standing-room tickets sold, crowds gathered outside the square to see the three artists—tenors Piero Barone and Ignazio Boschetto and baritone Gianluca Ginoble—who delivered an unforgettable performance.
It was not just about beautiful music but also great fun; the trio’s charming personalities shone through as they interacted with fans between songs, turning the concert into an evening among friends filled with camaraderie and harmony.
The world tour continues with around thirty dates across Europe and the USA, seeing them serve as musical ambassadors for Italy as they perform traditional classics alongside a host of pop songs.

And so their first CD of unreleased songs was released.🥰
For Il Volo it was an exhausting week for the launch of the CD, interviews and appearances everywhere and we were also in the pre-Easter week, in short, intense days.
I was very lucky that two events were taking place not far from where I live and with great joy I participated in both together with my husband!!
The first event was Thursday 28th in Cologno Monzese, home of Canale 5 and also of Radio Italia where the meeting took place.
The second, the next day, March 29, was the signing of the CD at the Bussolengo shopping center in the province of Verona.
Both events were about 100 km (62 miles) towards Milan for Cologno Monzese and the other towards Verona, in short Brescia remains right in the middle of these two places, how lucky!! 😉🤪
I didn’t go to Radio Italia through the Fan club, but I asked Radio Italia directly to be able to participate as an audience in the event and after a couple of days Radio Italia responded to me confirming entry for me and another person, therefore my husband was also admitted, naturally we had to send all our personal data. We had to show up at the entrance of Radio Italia at 7:00 pm and therefore we left on time and arrived at our destination without problems. There was already a queue of people waiting, entry was slow, because everyone had to fill out an authorization to use their image, given that the program was recorded and was broadcast on TV.
We had also been warned that there were no seats, but we already knew this having already been to a similar event, again with Il Volo in 2019.
When we all entered, an entertainer explained to us how the filming worked, once Piero, Ignazio and Gianluca entered, they would sit on the edge of the small stage and be interviewed by the two presenters: Manola Moslei and Daniela Cappelletti, the short interviews they would have been one after the other, but then edited at different times in the video.
They also asked us if any of us had never attended an Il Volo concert and about ten people raised their hands.
And then they came in, beautiful as the sun, smiling, dressed casually and they smiled at everyone. 😍😍😍
I knew that their new CD was officially released the next day but I was hoping, since the show would be broadcast the next evening, that they would let us hear the new songs.
And in fact it was like this, they told us we could take photos and videos, but they recommended not to release the videos of the new songs until midnight.
I took several photos that I will publish starting with these:
As you can see we were really close to the stage, a few meters separated us from them and after the interviews, they went up on stage and allowed us in the audience to get closer to the edge of the stage itself.
What can I say, we witnessed a real mini-concert. Ignazio Piero and Gianluca didn’t hold back, they immediately sang seven new songs, starting with Capolavoro and then, at the end, they sang another four songs that we know very well, namely Il Mondo, Se Telefonando, Musica che Resta, Grande Amore.
Ernesto Ginoble and all the authors and producers were also present in the room.
Gianluca Piero and Ignazio were calm but, by their admission, very excited because it was the first time they sang the new songs in public and they really wanted to see our reaction.
And what about the new songs…. WONDERFUL!!!! ❤️
I assure you that if you listen live they are beautiful, the lyrics are very beautiful, and the music is fantastic, very well orchestrated, certainly not ridiculous and repetitive songs with some basic chords done on the computer!!!
Congratulations, a job done really well, this is my opinion, of course, and I am very happy to note that Il Volo did not let itself be carried away by the pop and rap songs that are now in fashion here in Italy, songs that are super popular with kids, but which they have no artistic value, on the contrary, the more they are full of false notes and autotune, the more they are admired. Il Volo is not this and it shows in this production of theirs. Il Volo has not changed its nature, it has become more pop, but always remaining true to itself. Of course we don’t think we’ll find singing virtuosity, which they know how to do very well, but which they will always offer us in their concerts. 😉
Now I’ll tell you a couple of things that you won’t see during the official video.
The boys were singing and it was hot, at the end of a song, while Piero was talking, Ignazio in a corner, not in the frame, took off his jacket and when they were about to start the song, the technicians stopped and told Ignazio to put his jacket back on because otherwise the people on the video would have seen that first he was wearing the jacket and then after the jacket had disappeared . Ignazio said: “But I’m dying of heat,” and so they told him he had to put it back on and let them see him undress it. So in the video you will see that as soon as one of the songs starts, Ignazio immediately takes off his jacket and throws it in the air!! 😂😂
Another moment that you won’t see:at the end of the recording, the boys said goodbye to everyone, but before getting off the stage, the direction checked that everything was ok, but they saw that a song hadn’t come out well due to technical problems, so the guys told us if we were sorry they had to redo a song……but NOOOOOO. 🤪🤣🤣🤣
Then, after having redone the song, and with the cameras off, Gianluca said: “Let’s do Capolavoro again,” and so it was and we were all singing at the top of our lungs. Gianluca noticed a child in the audience who was singing loudly and invited him to go on stage, all three boys tried to convince him, but the child didn’t want to go up, he sent them a kiss and that was it.
But I must say that Ignazio, Piero and Gianluca were really very kind and nice, and their voices did not betray us, fantastic as always.
Overall it was a beautiful mini concert, indeed, an intimate mini concert, because we were about 200 people, and completely free!! 👏👏👏
None of the audience was able to have direct contact with them, because in the end Piero, Ignazio and Gianluca went to the back stage, but I would say that we can be happy like that.

GIANLUCA= Luca Faraone (one of the authors and producers) has just arrived, a round of applause to the producer and great musician, to the great Edwyn who has just arrived (Edwyn Roberts, another author and producer) and we also want to thank Cheope who wrote this song with Stefano Marletta and Michael Tenisci (they are all authors).
IGNAZIO= This next song….
PIERO= However one thing is important, sorry (to Ignazio). Often we must not fall for social consensus, we live a daily life in which we always need to have the consent of others. Tonight, like never before, we need your consent , did you like it? (loud applause from the audience).
IGNAZIO= So we started well. The next song, personally it is one of my favorites on the album, is one of those songs where you have to put your headphones on, and dedicate it to the person you love and so if you have someone you love, dedicate it to them. L’INFINITO.
DANIELA= Their album AD ASTRA was released today and this evening they are making us feel, like a gift, to play the songs from this new album. At the Isy Bank Music Play of Radio Italia , there is Il Volo!!
IGNAZIO= We talked about the producers and this next song was written and produced in part by a great Italian producer who if a few months ago his name was associated with ours they told us: “you are crazy”, and we are talking about Michelangelo (producer)

PIERO= It’s a very strange feeling tonight. This year, as you know, we are celebrating 15 years of our career and we have experienced……. (applause)..thank you…we have experienced many sensations, many emotions. Tonight is a new, very strange feeling, because we had never sung all these unreleased songs for the first time, we have always been used to singing well-known songs, we have based our career on bel canto, on the cultural heritage that we have all inherited. Really in life, never say never, this album has arrived and we are really.. I am moved, excited….😍
GIANLUCA= You know why, this is beautiful….. it’s beautiful because the beauty of our work is that we can convey emotions with our voices and this album talks a bit about us, about what we’ve experienced in the last year and a half, and our relationship has also strengthened, because 15 years is a long time but we are like a family and it is important to try to send this positive message too, it is important to do what you like most and express yourself, to be you yourself and convey authentic emotions to the audience that listens to you, so we would like to thank you for all the support you have given us over all these years, and it is exciting to sing these songs that speak about us deeply, for the first time to you this evening .

IGNAZIO= Today AD ASTRA was released, we have been working on it for a while, many monts if not a year and a half and we are very happy because in any case after 15 years we are working on a totally unreleased project, we have matured and reached an artistic maturity and it gave us the opportunity to have very concrete content in each song. In fact, with the songs we address themes that we feel are very close to us, such as love but also doubt, life, why we are in the world and also a little about the world as it is going at the moment in these years, that’s it.
MANOLA= How do you decide the songs to include in your first album of unreleased songs, I imagine you’ve done a skimming…
IGNAZIO= Making punches…😂😂😂
PIERO= It’s the first time and we are proud of this album, because we have put together a team of authors who have somehow coexisted with us, they listened…
MANOLA= Shall we name some names?
PIERO= Yes, then.. we have Stefano Marletta, Edwyn Roberts, Michael Tenisci, the applause also started..

MANOLA= In short, a good team.
GIANLUCA= Yes, but then the beauty is that we are interpreters, we have never worked on an album entirely of unreleased songs, always making projects that have led us to become who we are today. We have to thank these people who gave us the opportunity to make our thoughts and emotions tangible, not by writing ourselves in the first place, so we made friends and thanks to them we can be ourselves with our songs, so thank you…….🥰
PIERO= So now that the album is out the friendship is over. 🤣
MANOLA= It’s not true, it’s impossible not to be your friends 😍
GIANLUCA= So we really want to thank them, they are here, please give a round of applause to these wonderful guys and artists first and foremost.
MANOLA= This thing is very beautiful because we are used to seeing the final result, so the album and the work behind it is often and willingly, I won’t say is underestimated, but put a little in the shade, so the fact that you underline how far you have come together, as a team effort, it is very beautiful, very very beautiful. 🥰 There is also a featuring with Irama, the first and only featuring in this new album, in SATURNO E VENERE, how did this collaboration come about?
PIERO= We had already collaborated with Irama last year in the concert we did at the Arena. This year we were in the recording studio, we felt the need for a duet and I must tell you that it is one of our objectives to play a bit with the possibilities that music gives us, to bring together these opposite worlds, and with Irama, perhaps it is also unthinkable to combine a voice like Irama in a duet with Il Volo and I must tell you that the strength of the music…
IGNAZIO= A quartet..
PIERO= A quartet, I have to tell you that the strength of the music allowed us to live an experience in the studio together with Filippo (Irama), his way of working, of recording, of writing music which is all his, is truly incredible , I wish you one day to be able to see Filippo in the recording studio while he writes the songs, he is truly fascinating, and we thank him for participating and accepting the collaboration.

After a long wait, the book-signing event in Milan has arrived, in which I wanted to participate.
I had many expectations about this event, and some were met, but unfortunately not all, but first things first.
The meeting was in Milan in the Mondadori bookshop located in the beautiful Piazza Duomo.
Since I can’t go to any of the Italian winter concerts, i.e. Turin, Milan and Rome, I was hoping for a lot for this meeting, which was scheduled with a presentation of the book, some questions and answers and then the signing of the book.
Milan is close to Brescia, just over an hour by train, the meeting was at 5:30pm, so my husband and I left Brescia on the 1:30pm train.
As soon as we arrived in Milan, Piazza Duomo was revealed in all its beauty and sparklingly dressed for the upcoming Christmas.

We immediately rushed to the Mondadori bookstore to buy the book, a necessary condition for having a pass for the event. I had already bought the book in Brescia and I brought it with me, with the intention of having it signed even that too.
The Mondadori bookshop cashier tells me that we have the pass for the second group, because the first passes for the first group were already sold out, and she tells me that the event for the second group will be after 6:00 pm, and there will be only the signing of the book, without being able to interact with questions to Il Volo. This annoyed me a little, I tried to protest, but the saleswoman told me that there were too many adhesions and they couldn’t do otherwise.
So I went up to the third floor, where there were already many fans in line and it was only 4:00 pm.
This photo was just the final and shortest part of the queue, back there it angled towards the longest part but which I couldn’t photograph from my seat.
I couldn’t queue, as my group was on the second floor, but I could at least talk to the people in line and say hello to some friends.
And so I was able to see and say hello to Judith from Canada, in great shape.
And then I also met Sophia, granddaughter of RoseMarie Paliobeis. Both Judith and Sophia will go to the concert at the Forum in Milan, how lucky!!
I also met Alessandra Composto , but we didn’t take the photo, sorry.
A friend of mine, Cinzia, tells me she has a pass for the first group and offers it to me, I gratefully accept, so I’ll be at the first event, and I queue up, it’s very hot in the library but I’m happy to get in earlier.
But a person in charge of the library arrives who informs us that there will be no book presentation event, but due to scheduling problems, only the signing of the book!! Oh no, what a pity, I was really hoping to have a chat with Piero, Ignazio and Gianluca and instead there will only be a quick signing of the book.
It’s 17:30 and the doors of the room finally open, where Gianluca, Ignazio and Piero are already waiting, I’m at the back of the queue and I don’t see the room. the people in front of me start calling out the names of the boys.
I was hoping to have a little talk with them, but it doesn’t matter, I’m already happy to see them.
And finally after a long queue, I can enter the room and they are there at the back, here they are, finally!!
As I slowly approach, I continue to take pictures.
How beautiful they are, Ignazio is very cheerful, Piero and Gianluca are wearing surgical masks.
At one point I see that Gianluca stares into my eyes, I’m still distant, but I have the clear feeling that he stares at me and recognizes me, he sees that I’m taking pictures, lowers his mask and smiles.
In the mean time I arrive right in front of them, I put my coat on a chair, to be able to take better pictures, while I wait for my turn. But a man from the library tells me: “Madam, did you know that you can’t take pictures?” and so I put away my cell phone, but now it was my turn.
They tell me that I have to stay there next to Gianluca.
I hand over the books to sign, and while they sign, I manage to say:
“Congratulations guys for all your tour and all your events. The book is very nice”.
Gianluca = “Thank you”
Ignazio = “Have you read it?”
Me = “Of course you two (Gian and Igna) did a good introspection. (the photographer takes the picture)
Greetings from Flight Crew, (they smile at me and the photographer tells me to carry on).”
That’s all I managed to say…………shame, but that’s okay. I had the feeling that they were serene, Ignazio was laughing, I felt Piero less present because he was on the opposite side.
I didn’t want to take advantage of the time, because shortly before the library security man complained to a woman who was taking advantage of the boys’ time and ordered her to go ahead.
It’s already dark outside.
I have to rush to the train station, because just today there are strikes by means of travel and I risk not returning to Brescia.
I leave the library, one last shot of the beautiful Piazza Duomo in the evening and off to the station.
I’m tired but also satisfied.
While I’m on the return train, I check the photos I took, not bad, I like them.
Then I find a nice photo of the boys on Facebook, there on the third floor of the library, right in front of the balcony from which they performed in 2019.

After a long wait, everything ended quickly.
Piero, Ignazio and Gianluca in these days have already done a book signing event in Turin, then the concert in Turin then this book signing event in Milan and the following day there was the concert in Milan (I will tell you about the three concerts in another post). The day after the concert in Milan they went to Montecarlo for a private event.
Then they will quickly return to Italy, because there is the book signing in Bologna and then the book signing in Rome and the concert in Rome, and then the final event in Jerusalem.
You guys are a force, I don’t know how you can handle this.
In any case I am happy to have seen you, even if only for a few moments, but to have seen you all smiling and serene. A hug:💗💗💗
It was fantastic, the magic started 7 years ago for me, my first Il Volo concert was in 2015 in Brescia, in Piazza Loggia and yesterday 2 September 2022, after 7 years, the magic was repeated.
There are no words to describe the emotions.
But let’s start from the beginning. Piazza Loggia was bright, ready for the concert.
In the afternoon I attended the sound check, we members of the fan club were able to enter and sit in the first row. Piero, Ignazio and Gianluca arrived but did a very short sound check, but then they got off the stage and greeted all of us from the fan club one by one, exchanging a few words with each one. They were very kind and apologized for the shortness of the sound check due to the fact that being an open square, many people were behind the barriers and could watch and listen. The thing I did not like was that we at the fan club were absolutely forbidden to take pictures or videos, so there is nothing that testifies that we were in contact with the boys, and the people outside the barriers, on the other hand, could do all of them, the photos they wanted ….. what nonsense!
In the afternoon I also met Judith, from Canada, she reads to us on Flight Crew and told me that she has been following Il Volo for 10 years, since she casually saw them on the PBS television station, and she heard ITALIA, immediately she searched on the map where it was that nation of which he did not even know the name and since then, thanks to Il Volo, she returns to Italy every year. Now she loves Italy very much, but we know very well that Il Volo is the best ambassador of Italy !! ❤
And then it was a surprise in the evening, to discover that Judith and I at the concert had seats next to each other in the front row !! Perfect 🤗
My country is not far from Brescia, about 15 minutes by car, so we left an hour before the concert, but once in the center of Brescia, the chaos, there was no parking and long queues of cars, so we parked a little distant and then almost running to arrive in time, long queue at the entrance to the square and then, time to sit down and the concert begins.
I was ready with my video camera. “Ecstasy of Gold” starts, the camera starts having a thousand problems, and then “memory full” appears, but it’s not possible !!!! So all evening I had to shoot with my cellphone, which is not of excellent quality, I had to keep the images close, otherwise it blurs, but I must say that I am quite satisfied with the result and I hope you are too.
The first song that opens the concert is “Ecstasy Of Gold”. I really like this song, here is a small piece.
