For a long time I had hoped for this good news, this year the EUROVISION SONG CONTEST will take place here in Italy, exactly in Turin, on 10, 12 and 14 May and Il Volo will be a guest on the evening of 12 May !!!!
It is wonderful news, not only for the great media exposure that this singing competition has throughout Europe and beyond, but it is also a prize to the skill and professionalism of Piero, Ignazio and Gianluca. It is also a great gift for all fans and all the people who knew and loved them during EUROVISION 2015.
The good news was given personally by Piero, Gianluca and Ignazio, during the evening news of RAI 1 on 27 April.

PIERO = Tonight we are happy to announce here at TG1 that this year we will be guests at the Eurovision Song Contest. It will finally be held in Italy, after many years and we wish a great “good luck” to those who represent Italy: Mahmood and Blanco, it will be a great emotion for them.

The celebrations for the first 10 years of Il Volo’s career continue. The trio that bewitched the world, setting record sales and sell outs, from January 2020 will be engaged in a series of live events. It starts with the “North American Tour”. From 28 January to March the Il Volo boys will perform in the most important symbolic places of world music.
Touching sacred temples of art, such as the Radio City Music Hall in New York, (February 6th) Piero, Ignazio and Gianluca will delight the ears and hearts of a multigenerational audience that for a decade now has been following them with affection and admiration. In June and July it will be the turn of Germany and Poland with the addition of new stages to a calendar full of commitments. Summer will mark the return of the group to Italy, with two dates in Verona in August and two dates in September in Taormina.
November and December will sign a really important tour which today has 37 dates, without excluding any additions. Turin, then Milan, to end in the capital on December 4th. After the greetings, the boys are asked the thrill of having their photos on Times Square, and Ignazio says that it was very exciting to see their photos there.

In this beautiful broadcast, they presented a nice medley of their songs. And then, in the second part, Il Volo, along with Gigi D’Alessio sang a beautiful song by Modugno “Tu si na cosa grande”. Beautiful, all four very good.

The guys have been on the GO, but fear not we have NOT lost track of one minute of them as they serenade themselves from one part of Italy to another!
Starting with Roccaraso, Italy…a town in central Italy in the province of L’Aquila in the Abruzzo region…a mere 85 miles from Gianluca’s home town of Montepagano….next on to Turin which is way up north in the Piedmont area, then landing in the lovely town of Bologna where Michele and Barbara are from. You can almost hear every note they are singing or feel every ounce of joy they are expressing when you look at these pictures.
