Il Volo has been present on Italian television programs and beyond and therefore I am preparing to give you a summary.
November 27, Il Volo is a guest in an episode of the show on Canale 5THIS IS ME, hosted by the talented Silvia Toffanin.
This program is an invitation to young people who have attended the show AMICI(a talent show like Saranno Famosi) and who have been successful. Years later, these guys revisit their first debuts in music and then duet with some guests. Needless to say, the broadcast started at 9:30 pm and Il Volo performed at 0:10 am, two and a half hours of waiting to see them sing with Sarah (student of Amici) to the tune of Capolavoro which I now propose to you.
Nice performance, I liked Sarah Toscano too, but what a long wait just for one song.
Piero had the opportunity to announce that on the evening of December 24th there will be their concert recorded in Agrigento.
Silvia Toffanin who greatly admires our young men said that Ignazio got married this summer and Ignazio complimented her.
Sarah posted these words: “I sang with Il Volo and I was very nervous. They immediately put me at ease, they were really nice towards me so it was really beautiful.”
Small detail, the following day the audience figures were published, which are very popular here in Italy, THIS IS ME was the most followed program of the evening and of all the Italian channels.
The peak audience took place in two moments, at 9:58pm and at 0:10am (the moment Il Volo performed).
As I announced, the three concerts in Verona held in May would have been repeated on 7, 14 and 21 December, but due to a change in programme, Canale 5 announced only a couple of days ago that the first repeat of the concert was on Saturday 30 November.
So, on Saturday evening I had the immense pleasure of seeing the first concert held in the Arena in Verona in May (I was present at the second concert).
What can I tell you? I was glued to the television from 9:30pm until 1am listening and seeing Piero, Ignazio and Gianluca sing beautiful songs of which I want to show you these videos:

While in Italy I was watching the repeat concert in Verona, at the same time Kirsten from Denmark messaged me telling me that she was watching German television where there was a Christmas show and among the various guests there was also Il Volo.
In the program “Das Adventsfest der 100.000 Lichter”, Il Volo began by singing “Rockin Around The Christmas Tree”
But that’s not all, at the same time in some parts of the States, PBS was broadcasting the Christmas special recorded in Agrigento, and therefore Il Volo was present on three televisions around the world, how wonderful, what emotion, what pride!! ❤️❤️❤️
But since you really liked the vocal coach’s review last time, I propose another one that I recently found on YouTube and it was fantastic to see the reaction of those who don’t know Il Volo at all!!
Regarding the song Hallelujah and the saying “no one is a prophet in his own country” I want to tell you this.
You know that Halleluiah is now a song that Il Volo always offers in its concerts. After one performance, the video of the song they performed very well was published on YouTube. I read all the comments but one, made by an Italian man, really annoyed me a lot, he downgraded Il Volo saying that they didn’t sing that song well and that they should have listened to the one performed by Pentatonix who were much better than Il Volo and that Il Volo didn’t it was nothing compared to Pentatonix. I was furious and responded in kind by writing that Scott from Pentatonix was a friend and admirer of Il Volo, to the point that he had performed the song in LA with them and I attached the video. Furthermore, remembering that the next day Scott had thanked Il Volo on his Facebook page, saying that they were special people as well as very good singers, I also attached his statement!!!
What a joy to shut his mouth like this to this stupid man!! 🤬🤬

I have nothing else to add but I await your opinions and if anyone has already seen the PBS special tell me your impressions.
There is not a moment of rest for Ignazio, Gianluca and Piero. They returned on 29 November from Israel, arriving in Milan and in the evening of the same day they had a private event, a concert in the beautiful Milan Cathedral.

On 29 November 2018, exactly 4 years ago, Il Volo held a concert in the Milan Cathedral. The concert was planned by Mediolanum Bank and its founder Mr. Ennio Doris.
In this photo, you can see Mr. Ennio Doris and his wife in 2018 congratulating Ignazio, Gianluca and Piero. Mr. Doris has always admired the beautiful voices of Il Volo.
A year ago, on November 24, 2021, Mr. Ennio Doris died, and Mediolanum Bank, in memory of its founder, wanted this concert.
At the concert, only people with an invitation from Mediolanum Bank were present. The event was called: MUSIC IN THE HEART.
It wasn’t a simple concert, it was also done with a noble reason: a fundraiser, as communicated by the Mediolanum Foundation.
In the splendid setting of the Milan Cathedral, dear to the President Ennio Doris, Banca Mediolanum continues, in his memory and one year after his death, to support the Mediolanum Foundation.
The funds raised will be used to support the “Families in emergency” project to help 1,000 children thanks to donations that will be destined for Istituto Beata Vergine Addolorata and Associazione San Fedele, two historic realities in the Milan area, which are committed to restoring dignity and autonomy to vulnerable families.
Accommodation will be made available, foodstuffs and clothing distributed, treatments and medical supplies offered to Italian and foreign families in conditions of great hardship.

It was certainly a beautiful event, but unfortunately there aren’t many videos or photos, being a private event, so I’m attaching what I found.

Beautiful event, too bad that we were not able to see it.
Surely it must have been wonderful to be able to hear your beautiful voices within the walls of the Milan Cathedral.
But on Sunday 4 December, in the afternoon, there is already another engagement, they will be guests on AMICI on Canale 5.
But you never stop??
And in fact, here they are on the AMICI show.
AMICI is a program where the kids who participate highlight their talent for singing and dancing, in short, a talent show. It is a program very popular with very young people.
Piero, Ignazio and Gianluca enter after a nice video promo, and then they get in three positions to watch and comment on the performances of the various boys. At the end of the video, you will also find the performance of Il Volo singing HAPPY CHRISTMAS, War is Over.
At the end of the song, Piero recalls the dates of the three concerts in Italy and the concert on Canale 5 from Jerusalem.
Ignazio adds the following, addressed to the AMICI students:
“I wanted to tell you one thing, the greatest limit of ourselves, we are ourselves, until we stop believing. Never stop believing, never, never, never.
Well done everyone!!”
As you have certainly noticed, our boys are dressed in rather strange clothes, for them, but you must understand that AMICI is a program very popular with very young people and therefore Piero, Ignazio and Gianluca have shown, in their clothing, that they are not three young in very serious clothes, but wanting to get closer to the tastes of young people.
Even though they only sang one song, I liked their attitude at the end of going among the AMICI participants.
These are young people who hardly listen to Il Volo and don’t go to their concerts, so I like that Ignazio, Gianluca and Piero try to get closer to this type of audience that otherwise wouldn’t even listen to them.
After a few days we saw two very different realities of Il Volo:
Classic, elegant, mature in the event in the Duomo in Milan.
Sporty, relaxed, youthful, on the TV show AMICI.
But their voices are always the same, the voices that only Il Volo can have!!!
Saturday April 13, IL VOLO was hosted by AMICI, the Canale 5 program that looks for new talent in dance and music.
Here are the boys in the backstage who warn that they will soon enter the live broadcast.
Piero, Ignazio and Gianluca had to duet with a boy and a girl, aspiring singers of the white team.
All together, they performed a piece of “MERAVIGLIOSA CREATURA” and one of “LONTANO DAGLI OCCHI, LONTANO DAL CUORE”.
Then, at the end of the evening, IL VOLO, performed “A CHI MI DICE”, which just two days ago came out as a new single.

At the end of the first performance Maria De Filippi (presenter of the program) says that the boys of IL VOLO are “in shape” and also says that when he sings Piero, it seems that he closes his mouth and instead his voice is loud!

It seems that two of the girls finalists will have a duet with IL VOLO, in an elimination trial. The two girls are Carmen and Emma.

In the next video, Maria de Filippi asks the guys what they are doing in this period and Piero answers as follows:
“We are working on new projects.”
Ignazio intervenes, joking:
“I’m learning to dance because I do not want to make a bad impression with Celentano (dance teacher), even if I’m not in shape, but I’ll try”.
Gianluca continues saying:
“We are working on many projects, especially for next year there will be many surprises, perhaps even unexpected.”

Ok, the lights go out, the program is over and has made the record of plays, consider that on another channel they broadcast the Eurovision Song Contest.
It seems that the guys had fun, they were at the game and they made people laugh.
Honestly I would have preferred to hear another song.

There were several Instagram messages and FaceBook posts from the guys about their upcoming appearance on the fourth episode of “Amici di Maria de Filippi,”which aired on Canale 5 in Italy, on Saturday, April 15, 2017. (Thank you to Lisa Joy for posting it very quickly for all to see!) This is another talent show in Italy. This time, the guys were singing “My Way” for two competing male dancers. It was a trio this time for this song and I thought the addition of Ignazio was incredible. I loved the little jazzy softness he gave to the song and I always love when he goes for the high notes at the end. They looked and sounded beautiful as always.
Although I did not dig too deep, I don’t know who won the dance competition? My one friend said the guy in the white shirt should have won. Maybe Daniela or Dani can fill us in? 🙂
