The 2025 Festival dello Spettacolo is the first edition of a new event in Milan, taking place over three days, from October 24th to 26th, dedicated to all forms of entertainment.
Born from an idea by TV Sorrisi e Canzoni(a weekly television, music, and film magazine), it will transform Superstudio Più (the venue in Milan where the event will take place) into a huge exhibition area with live events, previews, talks, workshops, and direct interactions between the audience and artists from film, TV, music, sports, and food.
It’s a unique event: it’s the first time a festival in Europe has brought together all the languages of entertainment in one place.
There will be eight themed areas open from 10 a.m. until late at night.
Closing the Festival, on October 26th, Il Volo will take the stage, it won’t be a concert, but a nice chat.
(From the Facebook page Lemammeilvolovers Fangroup, which I thank, I took the video and am sending you the translation.)
(There’s confusion because when the guys entered, people got up and moved closer to the stage to take photos, so there are voices shouting “sit down.”)
HOST= Did you like my presentation?
GIANLUCA= Yes.
HOST= Thanks.
PIERO= I didn’t hear anything (due to the confusion)
HOST= I studied it carefully, I even forgot something, but everyone knows you, so I won’t add anything.
(people don’t sit down or go back to their seats) I’d ask the people in front who are standing to sit down otherwise those in the back won’t see, thanks!
I’m curious….well, when Piero… (Piero, in the meantime, has gone to the front of the stage and pointed to someone, maybe a little girl, who knows Il Volo’s songs, and Piero tells the host)…. oh well, then we’ll have them sing a little bit.
If you’d sit down (referring to the audience), we can get started. Most importantly, I need to send a video about you (Il Volo).
IGNAZIO= Oh, come on!
GIANLUCA= A video?
HOST= Sure, a video, yes! (The video starts and summarizes Il Volo’s latest South American tour)
Wow, how exciting!
IGNAZIO= It’s beautiful!
HOST= You’re making the girls cry like before with Renato Zero, I’d say (He’s a great Italian singer who was on stage before Il Volo).
So, guys, first of all, I’m curious: do you always position yourselves like this? Seated, in a row, when you take photos, with Ignazio in the center.
IGNAZIO= It’s automatic now.
HOST= And you’re always in the center.
GIANLUCA= He’s the tightrope walker, he’s in the center because Piero and I are kind of opposites, right?
HOST= Okay!
GIANLUCA= He keeps his balance a bit.
HOST= Sure, sure!
GIANLUCA= So he has to be in the center.
HOST= Of course. But when you sing, you always start, Gianluca, then Piero, and then Ignazio. Is there a reason? I don’t know, like different voice distributions… tell me.
IGNAZIO= Simply because of our vocal characteristics: he’s a baritone (Gianluca), we’re both tenors. A baritone’s characteristics are in the medium-low range, with a slightly warmer voice, so it’s better if he starts the song than me. It also depends on the song.
GIANLUCA= It’s a dynamic of vocal growth that then explodes with Piero’s voice, obviously.
HOST= Piero, we explode with your voice.
GIANLUCA= Exactly, we explode with his voice.
PIERO= We decided, it’s like a pecking order.
HOST= You’re last, though!
PIERO= Jokes aside, it was all very spontaneous: the projects, how we met, even how we decided to divide a song. To be clear: 15/16 years ago, dividing a song was more complicated because we didn’t know each other well and we didn’t know our personal limitations.
Now, when they propose a song to us, just from the lyrics we understand who should do what part, what’s best. There’s much more awareness, more maturity.
HOST= You just returned from a sold-out South American tour, which started on October 3rd, and then in a few days you’re leaving for a European tour. I read London, Paris, Berlin, and then you’ve already announced new dates in Latin America in March 2026. And then I’ll turn the page because you have so many dates, including Italy, you’re coming back in December 2026 (applause).
I wanted to ask you, out of 365 days a year, how many days do you stay home?
PIERO= The last number!
HOST= Five??
IGNAZIO= It depends, it depends on the years, it depends on commitments. There were years when we were home for two weeks (in a year).
HOST= Really?
IGNAZIO= Yes, there were years when we were home for 2-3 months.
But as you grow up, you realize that even to be a little more productive, you have to take a break every now and then, so we try to take a break for a month and a half, two a year maximum.
HOST= Okay!
GIANLUCA= And stopping these days is a luxury, being able to afford to choose not to work.
HOST= Sure, sure.
GIANLUCA= It should apply to everyone, to understand that perhaps as much as work makes you free, trying to take some time off, even in one day, this applies to everyone and is very important. (applause)
HOST= The first thing you do when you come home from a tour.
IGNAZIO= Take off your shoes, that’s for sure, otherwise my wife will kill me!
GIANLUCA= Good, I agree, how many of you don’t take off your shoes at home?
(Piero raises his hand)
HOST= I take them off.
GIANLUCA= You always have to take them off. I make everyone take them off, even those with holes in their socks, it doesn’t matter!
PIERO= If I come to your house and you make me take off my shoes… I won’t come to your house.
HOST= No, I don’t let others take them off.
IGNAZIO= (to Piero) You have to come to my house on Thursday.
PIERO= I’ll keep my shoes, I’ve never taken them off at your house.
The first thing I do. I personally live by the sea, so I go for a run by the sea to rebalance myself mentally and physically.
IGNAZIO = You said at home, not outside, do you run at home? Do you have a beach at home?
PIERO = Oh, you meant inside?
HOST = Indeed! I also wanted to ask you what it is about Italy that you miss most when you’re away?
GIANLUCA = Coffee. By the way, I saw the interview with Tiziano Ferro (a famous Italian singer who lives abroad) and he said the same thing. It doesn’t take much to make a good coffee. It’s impossible! Maybe we found a good coffee in Colombia.
PIERO = But we can say it. You know when we talk about artists’ vices, they ask for who knows what. We only ask for one thing in our dressing rooms.
GIANLUCA = (he jokes) red carpet, red curtains…
PIERO = …we eat any food, and in recent years we’ve requested, because it’s something all three of us have in common, a Nespresso coffee machine in the dressing room. Before a concert or maybe when you arrive, and it makes you feel good, being able to savor the flavors of home.
GIANLUCA= Which is a Swiss company (meaning Nespresso is a Swiss factory that developed coffee with an Italian flavor), but those are details.
HOST= Those are details for a great coffee!
PIERO= We help the economy grow in Switzerland too.
HOST= I wanted to know who’s the fastest at packing their suitcase.
PIERO= Me.
IGNAZIO= No, not you.
GIANLUCA= (to Ignazio) But you do it?
IGNAZIO= Yes.
GIANLUCA= But since when?
PIERO= Since when?
IGNAZIO= What are you talking about? If we have a plane at 1:00 PM, I’ll pack my suitcase at 10:00 AM.
GIANLUCA= The clothes in Ignazio’s suitcase fold themselves, it’s his method.
PIERO= I discovered something incredible, guys, three days ago. I tried it, and unfortunately, it works.
Do you know who packed my last suitcase, the one for the European tour? ChatGPT (a chat that gives quick answers on any topic).
HOST= Come on, did you ask ChatGPT how to pack?
PIERO= I put my calendar on ChatGPT and said, “Pack my suitcase,” he told me what to pack. He advised me that it rains in Germany this time of year, so bring a raincoat, bring x number of underwear, and socks, incredible!
In a few days, Chat will even do the laundry! (laughter)
GIANLUCA= Soon he’ll be singing for us too, the time will come, sooner or later, you’ll see.
HOST= ChatGPT aside…
PIERO= Guys, it exists, we all have it at our fingertips.
GIANLUCA= Evolution can’t be stopped.
PIERO= We should never be surprised; on the contrary, we should take advantage of evolution.
IGNAZIO= Do you know what worries me most about this Artificial Intelligence?
GIANLUCA= He (Ignazio) is more conservative, we (Gian and Piero) are more progressive…
IGNAZIO= There won’t be a method anymore, the kids won’t have a method anymore, because now for everything they’ll ask ChatGPT how to do it? (applause)
The suitcase with ChatGPT (points to Piero teasingly).
PIERO= Then when you come to me and say:
“Can you lend me a sweater, I forgot it? I’ll let you go out without it.
IGNAZIO= It doesn’t fit me, with your sweater I look like a cured meat. (laughter)
HOST= In fact, I wanted to ask you which of the three is the most absent-minded and has left things all over the world. (both Piero and Gianluca put their hands on Ignazio)
IGNAZIO= It used to happen!
PIERO= Use ChatGPT
GIANLUCA= Look, if he starts using it, you’ll appreciate it.
IGNAZIO= No, it used to happen, but it hasn’t happened for a while now.
HOST= You forgot some of your things all over the world.
GIANLUCA= I have to admit I’m not particularly practical, so maybe…
HOST= Maybe your head is a bit in the clouds…
GIANLUCA=…a little…
HOST= But whose suitcase is the heaviest?
GIANLUCA= My last one weighed 34 kg.
HOST= Wow!
What’s the first thing you pack, Gianluca?
GIANLUCA= 20 kg of books and then…
IGNAZIO= What he doesn’t understand is that books are great at home when you read them, but when you travel, you get a Kindle (e-book reader) that weighs nothing, you take it with you and you have all the books you want.
GIANLUCA= Then I pack the various outfits, all the things you have to be prepared for when you travel, the medicines, you always have to bring a kit, a pharmacy, Piero does that too, right?
HOST= Do you do that too, Piero?
PIERO= Also.
GIANLUCA= When you’re away for two months, maybe you need some kind of medicine…
HOST= Sure, so who’s the pharmacist of the three?
GIANLUCA= Maybe a little more Piero.
HOST= Piero, okay.
The first one to arrive at the airport?
IGNAZIO= We’ll arrive together.
GIANLUCA= Same car.
HOST= Oh, you arrive at the airport together, you don’t meet up…
IGNAZIO= If we’re in Bologna and we have to get to the airport, I always arrive last. Because then I calculate the time.
HOST= Have you ever missed a plane?
IGNAZIO= Yes, it’s my fault.
PIERO= When?
IGNAZIO= In Miami (when the night before departure, Ignazio was unknowingly drugged in a nightclub and woke up in a traffic jam while everyone was looking for him everywhere. Because of this, everyone missed their plane and had to book another afternoon flight, and they had the concert that evening).
PIERO= Oh, well, it was a special moment.
IGNAZIO= But we missed the plane.
PIERO= Yes, but never because of a delay, we’re very good at that.
HOST= Let’s take a step back. It was 2009 and three very young singers showed up at TI LASCIO UNA CANZONE.(An old photo with Antonella Clerici appears behind them.) There you are!
Gianluca doesn’t even look at the photo.
GIANLUCA= You see, miracles happen in life, you see, this is the example that God exists.
If you want a pragmatic and possible example, here’s that photo. (He means the appearance of all three of us.)
HOST= But do you remember what you thought of each other the first time you met there?
IGNAZIO= So, Piero and I were a bit more of a clique.
PIERO= It wasn’t us who were cliquey, but we weren’t considered by those who were cliquey (he means that Piero and Ignazio weren’t considered by the slightly more snobbish group where Gianluca was also).
IGNAZIO= Because unfortunately, when you’re with a lot of people, cliques form: the “fighettini” (meaning the slightly better looking and slightly more haughty ones) and the more social ones.
He (Gianluca) was part of the “fighettini”.
And so he was always with this circle of “cool” kids who stayed away.
Then there were us, and Piero and I had bonded a little more. Then they put us together….
HOST= Did this happen to you?…
PIERO= You can say it’s unfortunate. (he’s joking, obviously)
IGNAZIO= And even today we try to make him (Gianluca) understand that hanging out with the “preppy” kids isn’t…
GIANLUCA= But think about it, when you say… the laws of the universe, how is it possible at the right time… the timing… in the right place we meet, we sing individually on a TV show, we didn’t know each other, for the first time in 10 years on a show like that, three 14/15-year-old kids meet singing the same genre of music, then Roberto Cenci had the idea of putting us together, then Michele Torpedine, along with the producers at the time, Tony Renis was also there, they saw us on TV and everything started from there, so there must be something bigger.
HOST= Of course, since then you’ve become a trio, so you’ve learned to get along, you spend most of your lives together.
Can you tell me the happiest moment the three of you have spent together?
PIERO = A few days ago, a month and a half ago, Ignazio became a father. (applause)
HOST = Yes! We’ll talk about it later.
PIERO = This is part of our private lives. We’re experiencing a moment of happiness right now, a great moment, and I believe we need to talk about good times out loud and acknowledge that we’re living a good time, so that when the bad times come, you can look back.
This is a moment in which we recognize that we’re three privileged young men because we’re doing what we love, we do it with great responsibility, we have to admit this because all three of us are soldiers in our work; when we go on tour, we’re very responsible for everything.
But we live with the greatest passion; for us, the greatest passion, our highest capacity for expression is music, and living with your passion, making it a career, I think is a great achievement that I wish for everyone. There’s a beautiful phrase I like to repeat often: “Not all of us can do what we love to do,” and when you do a job that perhaps doesn’t reflect your passion or vocation, you have to be able to learn from what life has led you to do. Therefore, happiness and serenity are a daily commitment that must always be persevered in and acknowledged. (applause)
HOST= Great! And that time you told each other to go to hell?
PIERO= A little while ago. (laughter)
HOST= What happened?
IGNAZIO= I think it’s also normal for a relationship involving two or more people to have a dialogue, and sometimes that dialogue can be constructive and sometimes destructive. Fortunately, we’re three very intelligent guys, and we’ve made our dialogues, our clashes, constructive for us as people but also as artists, and that’s why we’re still here together today, making music, having fun, and enjoying ourselves. However, I think that not being alone is a choice, and we try to remind ourselves every day that we’re not obligated to be together; it’s a consequence, a choice all three of us have made over the years. The choice must be continuous, daily, and that’s what unites us, this desire, this shared goal of music, but also because I’m not saying we’ve become one, but objectively, who knows us better than the three of us if not the three of us?
HOST= Of course!
IGNAZIO= And this unites us so much, there you go! (applause)
HOST= I’d like to take another step back. The year after the trio was founded, in 2010, you participated in “WE ARE THE WORLD FOR HAITI.” You were about 15 years old, so very young, and you found yourself alongside 80 international stars—we’re talking Lady Gaga, Bono, Celine Dion, Barbra Streisand. What do you remember about that first international experience? (A photo of the guys with Celine Dion appears behind them.)
PIERO= I remember that scarf.
HOST= That scarf?
GIANLUCA= Those outfits.
PIERO= Look at the three scarves.
HOST= Actually, I hadn’t noticed the three scarves.
PIERO= But Celine Dion has a scarf too.
IGNAZIO= But anyway, I’m more or less the same, but you (to Piero) are truly a miracle (laughter), you’re a handsome guy now, but I wouldn’t have bet a single cent on that.
GIANLUCA = In fact, in the phases of a career, imagine how difficult it is to be authentic and it also takes the courage to be yourself artistically, because it is easier to conform, to follow trends, and you need that person who believes in you at the right time, who supports your courage to ensure that you can express your full vocation and Michele Torpedine was this for us, he was that push that allowed us to become what we are today and we want to thank him publicly and again as we always do. (applause)
(Meanwhile, the photo behind them has changed, now it’s the three of them with Beyoncé)
PIERO= He’s not Michele Torpedine, but she’s Beyoncé.
GIANLUCA= Exactly! So, you think that back then, Michele had seen these three children and had already seen beyond, as he had already done with Giorgia and with Bocelli.
HOST= Of course.
GIANLUCA= Especially with Bocelli, he was the one who created Andrea Bocelli.
PIERO= While you’re talking about Michele Torpedine, he’s there in that dressing room (it’s a glass space so everyone can see it) having a meeting… Michele!
HOST= He’s not paying attention at all!
PIERO= (he turns to Torpedine and the people with him) You’re not listening to anything we’re saying, we’re talking about you, stand up! Bow! (applause) And then you can go back to the meeting.
HOST= (to Torpedine) Yes, now you can continue talking about other things.
I wanted to share this beautiful memory I have. In 2012, I accompanied you to Los Angeles where, acclaimed like stars, you sang with Barbra Streisand (behind them is a photo from Il Volo with Barbra).
I have this memory: in your dressing room, before you started singing on stage, I remember Gianluca struggling with the hair dryer and hairspray and trying to tame his quiff, Ignazio eating breadcrumbs to clean his voice…
GIANLUCA= He still does it!
HOST=….and Piero who was very pleased with the fact that the shade of his red glasses matched the color of his earphones. So, if you wanted to look back, what would you say to those three kids, because you were truly three very young people?
IGNAZIO= But nothing has changed in the end…I keep eating bread, he (Gianluca) keeps adjusting the quiff….
GIANLUCA= And Piero changed the frame…
IGNAZIO= Yes, he (Piero) keeps changing the frame based on the in-ears. Nothing’s changed, everything’s the same.
GIANLUCA= Basically, the enthusiasm is the same as it was back then, and that’s what should accompany all artists in general. Then maybe we’ve grown a little, hopefully more mature, wiser.
HOST= Of course, that’s true. In 2015, you won the Sanremo Festival with GRANDE AMORE(applause – behind them, the victory photo).
Here you are!
What did it feel like to win the Festival in Italy after so many international successes?
IGNAZIO= That Sanremo there, besides having an important meaning in Italy… we arrived in Italy as almost three unknowns because here we hadn’t done much compared to what we were doing outside of Italy…. so besides having had the satisfaction of winning Sanremo, everyone in Italy has Sanremo in their dreams, but for us it had an important meaning because we were coming from a very difficult year in 2014, and we were perhaps in a bit of difficulty, because in any case ours is a genre where you have to work a lot, you have to come up with lots of ideas and 2014 was a very important year in some respects, in others it was difficult and very particular, so it was a bit of a gamble on Sanremo and arriving at the victory, It wasn’t just saying “I won Sanremo” but I won in the choices I’ve made up to now. That’s why 2014 is so significant for us.
GIANLUCA = Yes, and then it was the great return of “bel canto” to Italy, because after Andrea Bocelli, there had been no one who, in some way, courageously brought bel canto back to Italy. This is a musical genre that, I wouldn’t say, is more appreciated abroad. With hard work, the right choices, and the support of our manager, we managed to bring this musical genre back and make it successful again in Italy. After CON TE PARTIRÒ in 1994 (Bocelli at Sanremo), there had been no one, so it was a great return of bel canto, and we’re very proud of this because it’s not a question of being too nostalgic or melancholic. That’s the point. We’re all influenced by the past, even today’s great pop artists, young artists, singer-songwriters, just as we are influenced by a certain type of art and artists who, over time, have brought this music around the world, and we’ve realized how much our musical culture is truly appreciated by everyone.
Listening to NESSUN DORMA is like walking through the streets of Rome, something eternal with Puccini’s music and we become the vehicle of this cultural heritage that we have inherited, trying to bring it, with great pride, to the new generations as well. (applause)
HOST= But who has the prize? Who’s holding it? (I think she’s referring to Sanremo)
GIANLUCA= Torpedine has the prize.
HOST= I suspected so, Michele Torpedine.
IGNAZIO= He’s lost in meetings.
HOST= Okay, he has it anyway.
IGNAZIO= Yes.
HOST= In your phone book, there are the numbers of the biggest music stars, of Hollywood. Which one do you use most often?
GIANLUCA= I have Ignazio’s number!
IGNAZIO= The one we call most often?
HOST= Among these greats…
GIANLUCA= (to Ignazio) A little while ago with Renato Zero (famous Italian singer).
IGNAZIO= Yes, but it’s better to ask him (Piero), I’m a bit neglectful of relationships.
PIERO= There’s a dear friend of ours we keep in touch with all the time, at least once every two weeks we exchange a message. She’s Priscilla, Elvis Presley’s wife.
HOST= Oh, yes!
PIERO= She often comes to our concerts in Los Angeles.
IGNAZIO= But I can say that there was a time when we often felt like friends with Sharon Stone.
HOST= Wow, guys! But is there a number you don’t have that you’d like in your address book?
IGNAZIO= I don’t have yours yet.
HOST= Okay, I’ll give it to you later.
PIERO= Pope Leo XIV.
HOST= But you do have the photo with him.
PIERO= Every now and then I’d have a blessing, and every two weeks a confession of sins.
HOST= By the way, you’ve met two Popes, for whom you’ve sung. Pope Francis and then Pope Leo, right? What did he say to you?
PIERO= You know he’s very nice.
HOST= Who are we talking about? Pope Francis or Pope Leo?
PIERO= We’ve had several opportunities to meet Pope Francis, at World Youth Day in Panama and at Family Day in Rome. Pope Francis was as we knew him, straightforward as a person.
Even today, we’ve had few opportunities to meet Pope Leo to say, at least personally, his character; that comes with time, character, personality. We’ve had the opportunity to meet him directly, and he was very nice to us. We had an audience a few weeks ago, and the cardinal told him, “They’re Il Volo,” and he said, “Of course, I’ve been listening to you since you were 15 or 16.”
GIANLUCA= The Pope is Venetian (he says that because Piero used a Venetian accent while speaking; in reality, he was born in the U.S.).
PIERO= Yes, he’s a Venetian Pope, from Rovigo (he’s joking).
HOST= I wanted to ask Ignazio something, if I may.
IGNAZIO= You can.
HOST= What’s the song you sing to Gabriele to put him to sleep?
IGNAZIO= Well, sometimes I make them up.
HOST= Do you make them up?
IGNAZIO= Yes, I sing like (and he hums): “Goodnight my love, goodnight”… I make them up.
Or when he’s excited because he has colic, the usual baby stuff. I wrote two songs before he was born, and only those two songs calm him down, because when my wife was pregnant, I always played songs to the belly.
PIERO= It’s amazing, if he (Gabriele) cries, he hears the first note sung by him (Ignazio) and calms down.
HOST= Can you tell us the first note?
IGNAZIO= Ciao….
I+G= Ciao ciao bambina…. (laughter-it’s the beginning of the song Piove)
(The video stops here but I was able to pick up the last bit of speech from another video.)
HOST= It works?
IGNAZIO= It works well!
HOST= Beautiful, beautiful.
IGNAZIO= But it’s also nice because it’s the first time
I didn’t believe she (his wife) sent me the video. I thought, “Well, it’s the music, and like any child who listens to music, he calms down.” They tried playing any music or song, but nothing, he (Gabriele) didn’t calm down. If she plays mine, he calms down, and I was thrilled. It’s a beautiful thing, especially because we were on tour in Latin America, and so I received this video, and it’s touching!
HOST= Great! Speaking of the tour, before we end this lovely chat, let’s remember your upcoming concerts: Italy in December 2026, the 2nd in Florence, the 7th in Milan, the 17th in Rome, the 19th in Turin, and the 20th in Bologna, and we’ll be there!
Thanks guys. (applause)
GIANLUCA= Thank you, thank you all.
We’re working on new things, new projects, aside from the various tours, and we’re really happy to be the bearers of bel canto.
Thank you for all the love you’ve shown us over the past 16 years, for those who have followed us from the beginning. Now we’re back on tour, we can’t wait to see you all. Thank you!
HOST= Thanks to you guys.
I had just finished the translation, when I saw on Facebook the entire translation of the video with English subtitles, posted by Il Volo American Fan Group (thanks Donalee) and so I’m attaching this too.
Before the event, Il Volo was briefly interviewed by Rai1 for the program LA VOLTA BUONA. (Thanks again to Il Volo American Fan Club for the subtitles.)
But that’s not all. This wonderful interview Il Volo did with Lilia Kablin of Brazilian television was also published in the same days.
(Turn on subtitles)
Two lovely chats with our beloved guys, always kind and with profound and appropriate words!
How sweet Ignazio is when he talks about his feelings for Gabriele.
And that’s all, but really for a very short time, because it’s been announced that on October 29th, the Canale 5 evening program THIS IS ME, hosted by the talented Silvia Toffanin, will also feature Il Volo, so see you very soon!!!
And here I am with an update on the various events Il Volo participated in.
Let’s start with September 10th, when Fiorella Mannoia’s concert, held on June 3rd at the Baths of Caracalla, was broadcast on RAI1. I’ve already told you about this concert and attached the videos filmed at that moment, but now that it’s been broadcast on TV, I’m reposting the video of Fiorella and Il Volo’s moment.
On September 12th and 13th, the TIM MUSIC AWARDS took place live from the Verona Arena, where various awards are presented to outstanding singers.
On the evening of September 12th, Il Volo was also present, performing Cohen’s beautiful “Hallelujah” and then accepting the award for their “LIVE” worldwide tours. The event was broadcast live on RAI1.
The event was hosted by Carlo Conti and Vanessa Incontrada, and I’ll translate their words for you.
VANESSA= They’re always touring the world.
CONTI= They’re the most famous Italian trio, having captivated audiences on every continent for over 15 years, and tonight they’re giving us a song that’s primarily a hymn to peace.
By the way, I’m seeing a drone flying, transmitting images; those are the only drones we like to see (he’s referring to the incursion of five Russian drones into Polish territory, which were immediately shot down – applause).
And tonight their song is dedicated precisely to peace.
VANESSA = Exactly.
CONTI = And for you, it’s a chance to turn on all the lights on your phones.
VANESSA = Let’s all turn on the lights, more, more.
CONTI = A sign of peace, so that all the countries of the world can experience evenings like these, of music, joy, serenity, but above all, peace. With us, with Hallelujah:
VANESSA + CONTI = Il Volo!! (the song begins)
(The lyrics at the end of the song.)
CONTI = Il Volo.
VANESSA = At the TIM Music Awards, these three friends, amazing artists.
GIANLUCA = A round of applause also to Maestro Edmondo Savio and the orchestra of musicians, thanks to you too.
VANESSA = (hugs in greeting) Hi Ignazio, how are you?
CONTI = Thank you for this beautiful moment you gave us.
PIERO = Thank you.
CONTI = Here’s the award for you.
PIERO = How lovely!
VANESSA = (to Gianluca, to whom she gives the award) Hi, handsome boy!
GIANLUCA = (in Spanish) How are you, dear?
CONTI = (hands the award to Ignazio) Here you go for your tour.
I+G+P = Thank you, thank you.
VANESSA = So, you did a tour in the United States, some dates in Europe, and special concerts in Italy, right?
IGNAZIO = Yes, absolutely. Today was a bit of a demonstration of how music can be a bridge between different cultures, different ways of thinking, and the best thing about a tour is being able to meet different people, meet our fans, and still give people a feeling through music.
PIERO = This is a special evening because this is the first award Ignazio has received after becoming a dad. (applause)
VANESSA = It’s true! I didn’t want to pry into your private life, but… (as if to say he wanted to respect your privacy, but it’s great news)
CONTI = And you (Piero and Gianluca) are like uncles!!
CONTI = This fall, you’ll be starting your live concert tour in Latin America, then all of Europe, but most importantly, in December, you’ll be back in Italian arenas, back home.
VANESSA = Exactly!
PIERO = We’ll be back on tour in Italy, so we’re waiting for you, and thank you for the support and love you show us every day. Thank you!
VANESSA = Thank you, thank you for coming.
CONTI = And for this very important moment, thank you!
IGNAZIO = Love and respect each other, that’s all, thank you.
VANESSA+CONTI = Il Volo!!
G+I+P = Thank you, bye everyone!
What can I say? I don’t know if any of you had the chance to see the entire event, but 38 singers performed, receiving various awards, many rappers beloved by young people, often “over-the-top” figures heavily tattooed and sometimes scantily clad, and women performing in lingerie. In short, Piero, Ignazio and Gianluca always bring a touch of elegance and refinement in addition to their talent. With their song, they highlighted something precious: PEACE, and their voices rose majestically above a sea of “summer hits” that often disappear.
Once again, Il Volo stood out and was appreciated!
On September 13th, the 19th edition of GRACE FOR THE WORLD, conceived by Andrea Bocelli and Pharrell Williams, took place in St. Peter’s Square in the Vatican. The event was broadcast live on RETE4.
Among the various artists, Il Volo was also present (in addition to Bocelli, the only Italians).
It was a spectacular evening with St. Peter’s Square as a magnificent backdrop and a series of drones in the sky creating beautiful patterns.
During the evening, beautiful words of brotherhood and peace, testimonials and artists from all over the world, a magnificent choir and orchestra, and a truly unique atmosphere.
Piero Ignazio and Gianluca performed towards the end of the event with a splendid MAGNIFICAT, which we had already heard at the Jubilee of Youth, a truly solemn moment!
I also wanted to point out that before all the events I’ve just listed, Il Volo had two private events, one apparently in Greece and one in Milan.
We learned about the second one through a publication by the Franciacorta Orchestra, which follows Il Volo. They published this post, of which I’m translating a portion.
“An evening that will remain etched in our hearts ✨
Last night we had the honor and pleasure of participating in a truly unique private event, hosted in the prestigious setting of Superstudio Events in Milan. A special, elegant, and refined occasion that allowed us to experience and share unforgettable moments.
On stage, joining us, were the talented Il Volo, who conveyed authentic emotions with their music and extraordinary voices. The magical encounter between an orchestra and three internationally renowned artists created a vibrant atmosphere, combining tradition, style, and contemporary energy.”
The update is over for now. It’s been a very intense few days of television, where we saw Ignazio, Piero, and Gianluca in top form. Now they’re back at the end of September for the memorial in honor of Pavarotti.
See you soon: Daniela 🤗
…and may there be peace throughout the world….🕊️❤️
She is truly a special and charismatic young woman, full of energy and good humor.
Our meeting took place in Milan in March, a day full of clouds and rain.
But before starting my story of the meeting, I want to take a few steps back, to 2021 when Milagros sent an email to Flight Crew and Jana, our administrator, forwarded it to me.
She had written a beautiful letter that I then immediately published on Flight Crew, where she told us how she had become a fan of Il Volo and what their music had meant to her.
For those who have not read that post, I will report it here.
So Milagros got into Harvard, very impressive, kudos to her.
But let’s get to the present day.
About a month ago, towards the end of February, Milagros sent another email to Flight Crew for me, here’s what she wrote:
“Hi there! I hope you are well and excited for Il Volo’s US tour!
I don’t think you’ll remember me—I only talk to Jana regularly—but a while ago, 3 years ago I think, I wrote to you to tell you my story with Il Volo, how listening to one of their songs inspired me to try to change my life and I ended up leaving Uruguay, my home country, and getting into Harvard on a full scholarship. Time flies…and I’m about to graduate! (writing this seems a bit crazy to me)
I’ve done a lot of things over the years; I traveled to 14 countries with my guide dog, giving talks around the world, advocating for disability at the United Nations in New York… and obviously well, now
I’m about to graduate and the truth is I feel that none of this would have happened if not for that second of inspiration at a time that – no joke – was one of the darkest of my life.
I decided to buy a ticket to go and see them in Boston as a graduation present for myself…and the meet and greet! I saved for years for this so I’m very excited but obviously I’m also nervous because I’m afraid that everything will go wrong, that it will only be 5 seconds, a photo and that’s it… and well, as I’m blind at the end of the day the photo doesn’t matter so much to me, I kind of feel like I’m coming full circle and thanking all the things that brought me here today and this is my way of doing it with them even though of course they would not care at all.
I just wanted to write to share this with you all- I continue to read the site very often, I love it because you always post translations of the interviews and since I can’t see subtitles it’s very useful to me! Thank you for everything you do.
Best, Mili.”
I immediately got in touch with Mili and she told me that she was thinking of coming to Italy for about ten days before the Boston concert and exactly that she was thinking of coming to Milan. What a nice surprise, Milan is an hour away by train from Brescia and so we agreed to meet in person in Milan, truly an unmissable opportunity!
So on the afternoon of Saturday, March 15, my husband and I took the train to Milan, we had agreed to meet in Piazza Duomo and exactly in front of a toy store.
Unfortunately the weather, which a week before had been splendid and warm, from the day before the meeting had become cold and rainy, but it didn’t matter.
Then there was the problem of the language, Milagros speaks Spanish and English, I speak Italian and a little English, but even that wasn’t an obstacle.
After a few minutes of visual search, the Piazza Duomo, despite the weather, was full of people, we knew that Mili had her trusty guide dog Indio with her, and finally I saw her, she was right on the other side of the intersection.
After greetings, we immediately felt in tune, she is truly a sunny girl, always smiling.
I thought that someone would accompany her to Piazza Duomo, but no, she was alone with her dog and she confided in me that she always travels alone with Indio. This was her first time in Italy and she came to Milan which is a chaotic city due to traffic and the amount of people.
While we were walking around Piazza Duomo she told me that she will graduate in May, and the gift she gave herself for her graduation was precisely the Il Volo concert.
She told me about her constant travels, she has been to 14 countries, to give conferences on disabilities, in fact I think that maybe Italy was the 15th country she visited.
As we crossed Piazza Duomo on our way to Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II she told me that the night before she had been to Navigli, a characteristic place in Milan, full of lively youth life during the evenings, in short certainly not a calm place and she liked it a lot. This place, Navigli, was also featured in the video of Il Volo di Musica Che Resta.
So, chatting pleasantly, we crossed the Gallery and I even had her step on the famous “bull’s balls” to wish her luck.
Milagros is on Facebook and Instagram and if you Google: MILAGROS COSTABEL, you will see how many interviews she has given to prestigious newspapers that have covered her and her lifestyle, such as: BBC, CNN, IL Corriere della Sera, El Observador, Model View Culture etc.
And so we arrived on the other side of the Galleria to take a picture in front of the Teatro La Scala.
Milagros immediately spoke of Piero about his dream of singing an entire opera, perhaps at La Scala!
I think I also understood that her favorite of the three is Piero!
We would have walked to the Castello di Milano if the weather had been more stable, but instead we walked back through the Galleria and then went to a coffee bar and sat down to talk comfortably.
Mili told us about her family, about her mother who had called her the night before worried to know what country she was in. As a mother I understand these worries very well, but I must say that Milagros gave me the feeling of being a very strong and self-confident young woman.
She told me that she was born really small, only 750 grams (1.65 lbs.) and they had to give her oxygen which however took away her sight, so at two and a half months she was already blind.
Her family currently consists of her father, mother, her and a 14-year-old brother.
While we sipped our hot chocolate with cream, she told me that she saved up to be able to buy the ticket for the Il Volo concert in Boston and also the Meet & Greet, but everyone told her that the time at the M&G is very short while her, instead, would like to ask them questions and maybe write about this experience.
Of course we at Flight Crew have passed Mili’s story forward, so that the guys would know about it. Who knows if she will get a few minutes of Piero, Gianluca and Ignazio at her disposal, we will know soon because the Boston concert is coming up.
Of course, we at Flight Crew are waiting for the review of the concert dear Milagros and the impression that our dear guys made on you.
The afternoon hours passed very pleasantly and we returned home, bidding a fond farewell to Milagros.
For my part I must say that I met a very determined young woman, not at all intimidated by life’s events, a strong and courageous woman who will soon graduate.
Let’s cross our fingers that her dream of being able to speak with Il Volo can come true, we wish it with all our hearts Milagros, on the other hand, as the meaning of your name shows, miracles always happen.
A big hug from me and my husband, proud to have made your acquaintance, and of course from all Flight Crew!! ❤️

Everything is ready for the concert and Il Volo sends us this short video before the start!!
The beginning is spectacular, the orchestra begins an instrumental version of PER ASPERA, lights make spectacular plays, in the center of the stage a large black drape covers the central part and descends from above, obscuring those who are arriving. CHIARO DI LUNA begins, voices can be heard but Piero, Ignazio and Ginluca cannot be seen but all of a sudden the curtain falls and they are there!! 🤩🤩🤩 SPETTACOLARE!!
Il Volo, a complete show for the arena tour – CONCERT REVIEW
The new Il Volo tour “Tutti per uno – Ad Astra – Live in the sports halls” officially started last night from the Unipol Forum in Assago, after the zero date on Friday in Jesolo. tours of buildings
The trio composed of Piero Barone, Ignazio Boschetto and Gianluca Ginoble continue the celebrations for their fifteen-year career also sealed by the release, in March 2024, of their first album of unreleased songs “Ad Astra”.
A lot of time has passed since Il Volo was born on TV, time that has served to build a solid project, one of a kind, the result of intense work supported by an exceptional team.
The lights go out and the audience gasps, the fabulous orchestra directed by Maestro Edmondo Moses Savio is positioned on the stage and here we hear the voices of the trio, which however we do not see until the enormous veil that covers them falls and so they appear very elegant at the center of the stage.
It starts with a medley of three songs, all three unreleased from the latest album: “Per aspera”, “Chiaro di luna” and “Opera”. Then comes the first cover, “Who wants to live forever” which ends with an ovation and the first greetings to the Milanese audience from the three boys.
We continue with “Masterpiece” which makes the whole audience sing before opening the chapter of solo performances: everyone takes the time of a song to show off their vocal and stylistic characteristics and so we find Gianluca grappling with “Rocket man” , Ignazio with “The show must go on” and Piero with “E lucevan le stelle”.
Three personalities, three vocals, three children who have become men together and now joke on stage, making fun of each other for having taken fifteen years to release an album of only unreleased songs. “We took it easy” they say, then adding that their goal was had always been to “bring bel canto to the world” but that proposing a new repertoire was important for them at this point in their career. And so, after “Il mondo all’contrario” we move on to a moment dedicated to that immense genius of Ennio Morricone: accompanying them in “E più ti penso” is Cecille, a young singer who opened the concert.
Then, among unreleased songs and timeless hits, during the second medley of the evening they even descend into the audience, to the amazement of the excited audience who tries to touch them as if they were divine entities. And in fact the otherworldly moment seems to arrive on “Hallelujah”, when Ignazio asks to turn on the lights of the phones and the forum lights up to the notes of one of Leonard Cohen’s most famous songs.
It is towards the end that Il Volo thanks their manager Michele Torpedine, both for the work done alongside them and for that intuition they had with “Miserere” to mix pop and opera for the first time, a song which they then perform and which gives them a standing ovation. There is still time for another moment in which each of the three boys performs individually, but when it’s Gianluca’s turn he calls the French Saints on stage to give life to an exciting duet to the tune of “Wicked game”.
The final rush includes the “most important songs for us”, the first ones they sang together such as “Un amore così grande” and “Il mondo” and culminates with the whole audience standing to sing the very Sanresi “Grande amore” which earned them the victory in 2015. The trio leaves the stage but cannot help but return, loudly called back by the people who are now enjoying the last notes of the concert, which ends with “Ad Astra” the song that gives the title to their already mentioned album.
The setlist therefore saw alternating unreleased songs, escapes into opera music, rock standards and great classics: Il Volo does its job and does it well, aware of carrying on an Italian tradition that still strikes a chord in the hearts of many. It is with a touch of pride that I then say that we were born in the country where some of the most beautiful melodies in the world were written and it is not a shame to remember this every now and then. You see the concert and say: two hours of beautiful songs sung undeniably well, with a power and clarity of singing that is difficult not to notice.
Their “musical journey without borders” – as they call it – is clean and feels genuine, it doesn’t matter if the repertoire is too reassuring, they wink at what the public wants and flirt with foreign countries like few others. others.
Even the TV news talked about the concert in Milan, I chose this one from ITALIA 1. (pay attention at the beginning when the audience is framed, in the first row you can see Claudia, Gianluca’s girlfriend singing happily) 🥰
The new Il Volo tour in Italian sports halls starts from Milan with a sold-out.
“The new Il Volo tour in Italian sports halls started with a sold-out in Milan.”
GIANLUCA= We are really proud to be able to bring our music to an audience after so long, for our audience who has followed us since the beginning.
“The setlist includes the great hits of their incredible sixteen-year journey, but also the songs from the first album of unreleased AD ASTRA songs”.
IGNAZIO= We did a great job with the authors to have an update, a renewal of this musical genre.
“Treviso, Florence, Bologna, Turin, Rome, Eboli, Bari, up to Messina on January 26th, then the tour will continue in the U.S. in the main European capitals and in Latin America and also new projects.”
PIERO= We have been collaborating with the Mediaset networks for a while now, there will be many surprises. We are really happy with the relationship that has been created and what is to come.
And this is the review of the concert in Milan made by a radio station,Radio Italia.
After 16 years, Il Volo still takes us to see the stars.
Piero, Ignazio and Gianluca are the protagonists of a long musical journey that leads from great international successes to their latest album “Ad Astra”. Our story of the evening at the Forum in Milan, the new stop on their winter tour of the sports halls.
On a cold January evening, in Milan with a light fog, Il Volo takes care of making us see the stars. After the debut in Jesolo, the new show has arrived at the Assago Forum which brings the album “Ad Astra” live, but not only: in a show designed to celebrate music first of all, Piero Barone, Ignazio Boschetto and Gianluca Ginoble are the protagonists of a journey between classic and modern, between tradition and innovation.
Just scroll through the setlist to realize that the trio, immortalized in the photo below by Francesco Prandoni, can really sing anything: the first cover performed live is “Who wants to live forever”, but you can continue with other hits world-wide such as “The sound of silence” and Italian such as “E più ti penso” (together with Cecille), up to “Nelle tue mani”, directly from “Il Gladiatore”. If, then, you can count on a band and an entire orchestra at your disposal, that’s it.
They are all songs, contained in over 2 hours of show, which have a meaning in the history of Il Volo: “They have accompanied us on this magnificent journey that has lasted 16 years”, explains Piero, immediately interrupted by Ignazio’s irony: “By now I have two weddings!”, he jokes, a few months after his wedding. Smiles aside, it is also from these continuous exchanges on stage that we understand why the three artists work so well together: they sing impeccably, but in a different way, each adding something to the other’s interpretation. In short, they complete each other, and Gianluca also underlines this, halfway through the evening, highlighting their 3 complementary “souls”.
But, as in any long self-respecting relationship, mutual respect cannot and must not be lacking: the three artists share the stage almost to the centimeter, even alternating in some solo passages: if Gianluca Ginoble launches into “Rocketman” and “Wicked Game”, surprisingly accompanied by the French Saints, Ignazio Boschetto gives “E Penso a te” and “Show must go on”; Piero Barone’s vocal strength, however, goes perfectly with “E lucevan le stelle” and “No puede ser”, eliciting hints of a standing ovation. It is together, however, that they give life to a thrilling homage to Ennio Morricone or excite with “Hallelujah”, illuminated by the torches of the entire Forum.
It really seems like a “Masterpiece”, like the song presented at the last Sanremo Festival and which began the most recent chapter in Il Volo’s career: “It all started from this song. A musical journey without borders, which will lead us ‘Ad Astra’, towards the stars”, they explain. In fact, between one success and another, the songs taken from the latest album, the only unreleased one so far, and the latest single “Tra le onde” also fit together: minute after minute, therefore, we jump from one generation to another, yet everything seems very connected. From “My Way” to “Miserere”, praised as the first mix between opera and pop, Piero, Ignazio and Gianluca have the very difficult merit of making even the masterpieces of the past sound current, thanks to the support of a very high-level stage system.
The scenography helps, it’s true, but the priority of each performance of Il Volo is always the same: “The objective is to bring bel canto, in the footsteps of Andrea Bocelli and Luciano Pavarotti”, they make it clear. The ending also confirms this, on the notes of 3 of the most important songs for them: “Un amore così grande”, one of the very first pieces they found themselves singing together, then another classic of our country like “Il mondo” and finally that “Great love” that led them to triumph in Sanremo and that 10 years later still makes everyone stand on their feet.
To close the concert, while waiting for the other dates that will bring the trio to the large Italian sports halls throughout January, all that remains is “Nessun dorma”, to sing all together “tramontate, stelle”. On the other hand, Il Volo has already shown them to us this evening.
As you have understood from the song list, Il Volo presented many songs from AD ASTRA mixing them with more classic songs. It’s clear that here in Italy the aim is to bring younger people together. For this purpose Piero, Gianluca and Ignazio a couple of days before the start of the tour, in Jesolo they had a special meeting with the young people who turn 18 this year (majority age in Italy), in fact a Jesolo newspaper reports the news of which I will translate the essential part:
“The ‘Newly-18 Year Olds Day’ in Jesolo promises to be a memorable event for the children who will reach adulthood in 2025. On Thursday 9 January, at the Pala Turismo, the young people will celebrate their entry into adulthood with a meeting special with the famous musical trio Il Volo. The kids born in 2007 will have the opportunity to participate in an exclusive meet & greet with Piero Barone, Ignazio Boschetto and Gianluca. Ginoble.”
An exciting moment yesterday for the boys of 2️⃣0️⃣0️⃣7️⃣ who received theConstitution from our Mayor Christofer De Zotti with the councilor for youth policies Martina Borin for their 18th year☺️ concluded with the meeting with the boys of IL VOLO.
The space dedicated to them at the B.Y.C. was illustrated. Jesolo Young and captivating was the speech of the President of the Avis Jesolo association who reminded them that with the age of 18 not only do they acquire rights and derive as many duties as the Mayor well explained, but they also reach the right age to grasp a great opportunity to do good by donating to others.
But that’s not all, during the soundcheck in Jesolo, Il Volo met a special fan of theirs: Marco.
He fulfilled his dream, meeting those three voices that for him represent something unique and exciting. Marco Rossini, a 27-year-old from Concordia Sagittaria suffering from an intellectual disability, was received yesterday afternoon by “Il Volo”, the trio present in Jesolo for the concert scheduled for this evening at the Palazzo del Turismo.
During the rehearsals the young man, accompanied by his mother, shook hands and hugged his idols, spending a few minutes in their company. Moments that will forever be unforgettable for him. Those who took action to facilitate the meeting, which took place within a few days, were Simone Ferron, municipal councilor of Concordia Sagittaria, Christofer De Zotti, mayor of Jesolo and councilor Martina Borin, all present for the occasion and satisfied with the having seen the happiness of the best moments in the eyes of the Concordia native.
We were able to follow the musical group’s rehearsals in view of the concert – explains mother Elena – fulfilling Marco’s wish, which was to meet Ignazio, Piero and Gianluca live. The emotion for him was immeasurable, so much so that he couldn’t hold back his tears. All the people who worked for this extraordinary event yesterday conveyed action, availability, kindness and openness for which I cannot find a term sufficiently adequate to describe it. If not with a big thank you.”
The trio, increasingly appreciated internationally, yesterday also met the newly 18-year-olds from Jesolo, i.e. the new adults of 2025. Marco, at the end of the day, left the structure in Piazza Brescia happy and enthusiastic. On Monday he will attend the concert scheduled in Villorba, as a birthday present.
From yesterday’s meeting – concludes mother Elena – our spontaneous reflection was born on how today disability is becoming the driving force and power of other people’s hearts. I really have to say that dreams exist. And also their realization.”

But it doesn’t end here, and with this latest news I want to conclude this post. I deliberately left this for last because it marks a truly unique and commendable step by our dear Gianluca, Ignazio and Piero.
A few days before the start of the tour Il Volo spent his time on this beautiful thing:
Il Volo from sick children: “A Great Love given to those who need it most”
“Grande Amore” sing the tenors of Il Volo, and yesterday that great love was given to the children hospitalized in the pediatrics and oncology departments of the Rizzoli Orthopedic Institute in Bologna.
The musical group in fact celebrated thirty years of activity of the Bolognese association Ansabbio, which has always given a smile to children and their families in such a complex moment. In an atmosphere full of emotion, Il Volo joined the ODV volunteers to distribute special gifts: sweets, backpacks, gadgets and signed t-shirts, symbols of closeness and affection.
An act of solidarity that honors the association’s commitment to making the treatment process less difficult. “In life, if you don’t share something about yourself with others, it’s like losing a game. You in the Ansabbio association make your life available to those who need it most, and we try to do the same with music. Today we return here to reinforce this message, if everyone implemented this way of living the world would be a better place”, stated the three singers, Pietro Barone, Gianluca Ginoble and Ignazio Boschetto (who was also born in Bologna).
For them it was not the first time: already in 2011 they ha supported the ‘Star Therapy’ project, the meeting between stars and children in hospital, of which over the years Vasco Rossi, Lucio Dalla, Gianni Morandi, Nek, Biagio Antonacci and many others.
“It is a therapy of amazement and good humor, and today the singers of Il Volo are a bit as if they were doctors, who prescribe smiles and joy”, said Dario Cirrone, alias ‘doctor surprise’, founder of the project and of the Asabbio association.
Next to him also Milena Fini and Monica Guberti, scientific and healthcare director of Rizzoli respectively, and a former special patient: Chiara Internullo, now honorary president of Ansabbio and always a fan of Il Volo, welcomed the musical trio by singing ‘Oi vita oi vita mia (‘o surdato ‘nnammurato)’, one of the most famous Neapolitan songs performed several times by the group.
A beautiful day of solidarity which saw the three stars of the musical group as protagonists, together with the city of Bologna. On January 17th Il Volo will return to these parts, to the Unipol Arena, for the stage of the new tour of Italian arenas, “Tutti per uno – Ad astra Live nei sports halls”.
If you were unable to open the original attached article, I will reveal the name of the person who wrote the article: ALICE PAVAROTTI, yes, she is Luciano Pavarotti’s daughter! 🥰
Il Volo visits the young patients of the Rizzoli hospital in Bologna.
WOMAN = 30 years of Ansabbio (National Association of Shows for the Benefit of Children in Hospital), 30 years of activity, you have said 30 years of good things.
GIANLUCA= If we all implemented this way of living, the world would be better. We try with our music to convey emotions, and always to support through our voice, even moments of comfort towards people, so thank you for the invitation, it is a great honor, we really want to be close to people and to all of you who dedicate your life to the people who need it, because in the end, we all need affection, kindness, we all need a hug from someone close to us, so we are happy to be here. ❤️
WOMAN= It’s not the first time you’ve come. (Il Volo had already been in 2011, see photo)
IGNAZIO= No, absolutely, when we can we always take the opportunity to come or do something, because in anonymity we do our things in a unique way.
I think that in life if you don’t give something of yourself to others, both to those who need it, but also to those who don’t need it, it’s like losing a game, and that’s one of the reasons why we are here. ❤️
WOMAN= You have many fans here at Rizzoli (hospital) among the young patients.
PIERO= We have received a lot in life and we are aware of this, we know that we have many fans here and it is right to help people and I believe that the best way to help them is to dedicate time to them. We are here to dedicate even the little time we have available and I believe that these things are good for everyone, in particular they are good for the soul.❤️
At the end of the video the final words of Il Volo:
We have learned your motto by heart: “All for a smile and a smile for all, good life to all.” ❤️❤️❤️
I don’t add words to all this, I only confirm the high quality of Piero, Ignazio and Gianluca, three very good and talented artists with big hearts! ❤️❤️❤️
And so their first CD of unreleased songs was released.🥰
For Il Volo it was an exhausting week for the launch of the CD, interviews and appearances everywhere and we were also in the pre-Easter week, in short, intense days.
I was very lucky that two events were taking place not far from where I live and with great joy I participated in both together with my husband!!
The first event was Thursday 28th in Cologno Monzese, home of Canale 5 and also of Radio Italia where the meeting took place.
The second, the next day, March 29, was the signing of the CD at the Bussolengo shopping center in the province of Verona.
Both events were about 100 km (62 miles) towards Milan for Cologno Monzese and the other towards Verona, in short Brescia remains right in the middle of these two places, how lucky!! 😉🤪
I didn’t go to Radio Italia through the Fan club, but I asked Radio Italia directly to be able to participate as an audience in the event and after a couple of days Radio Italia responded to me confirming entry for me and another person, therefore my husband was also admitted, naturally we had to send all our personal data. We had to show up at the entrance of Radio Italia at 7:00 pm and therefore we left on time and arrived at our destination without problems. There was already a queue of people waiting, entry was slow, because everyone had to fill out an authorization to use their image, given that the program was recorded and was broadcast on TV.
We had also been warned that there were no seats, but we already knew this having already been to a similar event, again with Il Volo in 2019.
When we all entered, an entertainer explained to us how the filming worked, once Piero, Ignazio and Gianluca entered, they would sit on the edge of the small stage and be interviewed by the two presenters: Manola Moslei and Daniela Cappelletti, the short interviews they would have been one after the other, but then edited at different times in the video.
They also asked us if any of us had never attended an Il Volo concert and about ten people raised their hands.
And then they came in, beautiful as the sun, smiling, dressed casually and they smiled at everyone. 😍😍😍
I knew that their new CD was officially released the next day but I was hoping, since the show would be broadcast the next evening, that they would let us hear the new songs.
And in fact it was like this, they told us we could take photos and videos, but they recommended not to release the videos of the new songs until midnight.
I took several photos that I will publish starting with these:
As you can see we were really close to the stage, a few meters separated us from them and after the interviews, they went up on stage and allowed us in the audience to get closer to the edge of the stage itself.
What can I say, we witnessed a real mini-concert. Ignazio Piero and Gianluca didn’t hold back, they immediately sang seven new songs, starting with Capolavoro and then, at the end, they sang another four songs that we know very well, namely Il Mondo, Se Telefonando, Musica che Resta, Grande Amore.
Ernesto Ginoble and all the authors and producers were also present in the room.
Gianluca Piero and Ignazio were calm but, by their admission, very excited because it was the first time they sang the new songs in public and they really wanted to see our reaction.
And what about the new songs…. WONDERFUL!!!! ❤️
I assure you that if you listen live they are beautiful, the lyrics are very beautiful, and the music is fantastic, very well orchestrated, certainly not ridiculous and repetitive songs with some basic chords done on the computer!!!
Congratulations, a job done really well, this is my opinion, of course, and I am very happy to note that Il Volo did not let itself be carried away by the pop and rap songs that are now in fashion here in Italy, songs that are super popular with kids, but which they have no artistic value, on the contrary, the more they are full of false notes and autotune, the more they are admired. Il Volo is not this and it shows in this production of theirs. Il Volo has not changed its nature, it has become more pop, but always remaining true to itself. Of course we don’t think we’ll find singing virtuosity, which they know how to do very well, but which they will always offer us in their concerts. 😉
Now I’ll tell you a couple of things that you won’t see during the official video.
The boys were singing and it was hot, at the end of a song, while Piero was talking, Ignazio in a corner, not in the frame, took off his jacket and when they were about to start the song, the technicians stopped and told Ignazio to put his jacket back on because otherwise the people on the video would have seen that first he was wearing the jacket and then after the jacket had disappeared . Ignazio said: “But I’m dying of heat,” and so they told him he had to put it back on and let them see him undress it. So in the video you will see that as soon as one of the songs starts, Ignazio immediately takes off his jacket and throws it in the air!! 😂😂
Another moment that you won’t see:at the end of the recording, the boys said goodbye to everyone, but before getting off the stage, the direction checked that everything was ok, but they saw that a song hadn’t come out well due to technical problems, so the guys told us if we were sorry they had to redo a song……but NOOOOOO. 🤪🤣🤣🤣
Then, after having redone the song, and with the cameras off, Gianluca said: “Let’s do Capolavoro again,” and so it was and we were all singing at the top of our lungs. Gianluca noticed a child in the audience who was singing loudly and invited him to go on stage, all three boys tried to convince him, but the child didn’t want to go up, he sent them a kiss and that was it.
But I must say that Ignazio, Piero and Gianluca were really very kind and nice, and their voices did not betray us, fantastic as always.
Overall it was a beautiful mini concert, indeed, an intimate mini concert, because we were about 200 people, and completely free!! 👏👏👏
None of the audience was able to have direct contact with them, because in the end Piero, Ignazio and Gianluca went to the back stage, but I would say that we can be happy like that.
And now I’ll give you the entire official Radio Italia video, enjoy!!
MANOLA= Isy Bank Music Place packed for a new episode of Radio Italia live. These very young boys started and it seems incredible 15 years ago, they were three kids and it is already a great indication.
DANIELA= Yes, yes, but then they toured the whole world with their music, they filled arenas and arenas I think on every continent .
MANOLA= My goodness!
DANIELA = This summer they will be everywhere in the world again, but this evening we have them right here on Radio Italia live, soon we will have a chat with them, we are Manola Moslehi and Daniela Cappelletti, but first let’s find out who they are with our card. Later! (the presentation sheet starts)
Piero, Ignazio and Gianluca enter the stage, Capolavoro begins! ❤️❤️❤️
(my husband and I are in the audience, on the far right of the stage, just starting the right wall. We know where we were and therefore we were able to see each other but for you, it is very difficult to recognize us)
PIERO= And now we will sing our album of unreleased songs for the first time, here at Radio Italia. We will sing some songs, most of the songs from the CD, we will start with CHIARO DI LUNA. It’s exciting for us, being able to sing songs for the first time, it’s the litmus test…(a girl lets out a little scream)
IGNAZIO= I would like to understand why you scream if you don’t know the song..😂😂…. (the song begins)
GIANLUCA= Luca Faraone (one of the authors and producers) has just arrived, a round of applause to the producer and great musician, to the great Edwyn who has just arrived (Edwyn Roberts, another author and producer) and we also want to thank Cheope who wrote this song with Stefano Marletta and Michael Tenisci (they are all authors).
IGNAZIO= This next song….
PIERO= However one thing is important, sorry (to Ignazio). Often we must not fall for social consensus, we live a daily life in which we always need to have the consent of others. Tonight, like never before, we need your consent , did you like it? (loud applause from the audience).
IGNAZIO= So we started well. The next song, personally it is one of my favorites on the album, is one of those songs where you have to put your headphones on, and dedicate it to the person you love and so if you have someone you love, dedicate it to them. L’INFINITO.
DANIELA= Their album AD ASTRA was released today and this evening they are making us feel, like a gift, to play the songs from this new album. At the Isy Bank Music Play of Radio Italia , there is Il Volo!!
IGNAZIO= We talked about the producers and this next song was written and produced in part by a great Italian producer who if a few months ago his name was associated with ours they told us: “you are crazy”, and we are talking about Michelangelo (producer)
PIERO= (he hums a song by Michelangelo)
IGNAZIO= The song talks about an elegant love, therefore: SUCCEDE
PIERO= It’s a very strange feeling tonight. This year, as you know, we are celebrating 15 years of our career and we have experienced……. (applause)..thank you…we have experienced many sensations, many emotions. Tonight is a new, very strange feeling, because we had never sung all these unreleased songs for the first time, we have always been used to singing well-known songs, we have based our career on bel canto, on the cultural heritage that we have all inherited. Really in life, never say never, this album has arrived and we are really.. I am moved, excited….😍
GIANLUCA= You know why, this is beautiful….. it’s beautiful because the beauty of our work is that we can convey emotions with our voices and this album talks a bit about us, about what we’ve experienced in the last year and a half, and our relationship has also strengthened, because 15 years is a long time but we are like a family and it is important to try to send this positive message too, it is important to do what you like most and express yourself, to be you yourself and convey authentic emotions to the audience that listens to you, so we would like to thank you for all the support you have given us over all these years, and it is exciting to sing these songs that speak about us deeply, for the first time to you this evening .
MANOLA= The Isy Bank this evening is truly a place full of energy and warmth because the occasion is special, there are three guys we know, three incredible artists: Il Volo!!
IGNAZIO= Hello, hello everyone.
MANOLA= Welcome back, this is your home by now you know it, but it’s always a pleasure to meet you. What a beautiful day today! It’s special because it was released – AD ASTRA.
IGNAZIO= Today AD ASTRA was released, we have been working on it for a while, many monts if not a year and a half and we are very happy because in any case after 15 years we are working on a totally unreleased project, we have matured and reached an artistic maturity and it gave us the opportunity to have very concrete content in each song. In fact, with the songs we address themes that we feel are very close to us, such as love but also doubt, life, why we are in the world and also a little about the world as it is going at the moment in these years, that’s it.
MANOLA= How do you decide the songs to include in your first album of unreleased songs, I imagine you’ve done a skimming…
IGNAZIO= Making punches…😂😂😂
PIERO= It’s the first time and we are proud of this album, because we have put together a team of authors who have somehow coexisted with us, they listened…
MANOLA= Shall we name some names?
PIERO= Yes, then.. we have Stefano Marletta, Edwyn Roberts, Michael Tenisci, the applause also started..
IGNAZIO= Federica Abbate …
MANOLA= In short, a good team.
GIANLUCA= Yes, but then the beauty is that we are interpreters, we have never worked on an album entirely of unreleased songs, always making projects that have led us to become who we are today. We have to thank these people who gave us the opportunity to make our thoughts and emotions tangible, not by writing ourselves in the first place, so we made friends and thanks to them we can be ourselves with our songs, so thank you…….🥰
PIERO= So now that the album is out the friendship is over. 🤣
MANOLA= It’s not true, it’s impossible not to be your friends 😍
GIANLUCA= So we really want to thank them, they are here, please give a round of applause to these wonderful guys and artists first and foremost.
MANOLA= This thing is very beautiful because we are used to seeing the final result, so the album and the work behind it is often and willingly, I won’t say is underestimated, but put a little in the shade, so the fact that you underline how far you have come together, as a team effort, it is very beautiful, very very beautiful. 🥰 There is also a featuring with Irama, the first and only featuring in this new album, in SATURNO E VENERE, how did this collaboration come about?
PIERO= We had already collaborated with Irama last year in the concert we did at the Arena. This year we were in the recording studio, we felt the need for a duet and I must tell you that it is one of our objectives to play a bit with the possibilities that music gives us, to bring together these opposite worlds, and with Irama, perhaps it is also unthinkable to combine a voice like Irama in a duet with Il Volo and I must tell you that the strength of the music…
IGNAZIO= A quartet..
PIERO= A quartet, I have to tell you that the strength of the music allowed us to live an experience in the studio together with Filippo (Irama), his way of working, of recording, of writing music which is all his, is truly incredible , I wish you one day to be able to see Filippo in the recording studio while he writes the songs, he is truly fascinating, and we thank him for participating and accepting the collaboration.
MANOLA= In fact on paper, given Filippo’s vocality, it was particular to imagine as a duet, and instead the final result is truly extraordinary.
IGNAZIO= Did you hear it?
MANOLA= Yes. I did, of course, otherwise I wouldn’t be able to talk to you tonight, right? 😁 What questions are you asking me, Ignazio?.🙄.. he’s still him anyway…🤪
PIERO= He wants to put you in difficulty..😁
MANOLA= Of course, by now, I know that guy like the back of my hand! 😉
Piero, before, spoke about the Verona Arena, you want to talk about it again, because there is something very important that will happen soon at the Arena.
IGNAZIO= Breaking news is that out of four dates, three are already sold out.
MANOLA= Wow. Four concerts at the Verona Arena, you have actually already performed there, but bringing your work, your album of unreleased songs will be something else.
GIANLUCA= Already singing them live for the first time tonight is exciting, not only for some of you, but also for us because obviously listening to them in headphones and singing them is totally different, so we will give our best and we can’t wait to bring it to tour because it will be quite long, we will start from China and Japan, then we will go to the Arena and then until next year, until mid-2025, so it will be a trip to ASTRA, exactly.
MANOLA= You said 4 dates, three sold out, one is missing, in my opinion the other will be sold out very soon too, I’ll tell you.
IGNAZIO= Yes, they’re running out.
MANOLA= I’ll tell you, we at Radio Italia bring luck.👍
IGNAZIO= Oh yes?
MANOLA= Yes.
IGNAZIO= Good.
MANOLA= So we thank you because, in short, it is the first time that you are performing with your unreleased songs here at Isy Bank Music Place. Show it Piero (Manola is holding an AD ASTRA vinyl)
PIERO= Ah, the one with the most beautiful colour.
MANOLA= It’s blue.
PIERO= Look how beautiful!
GIANLUCA= It’s an object to keep at home, beautiful, it’s a piece of furniture, look, it’s wonderful.
MANOLA= Let’s say for those who are listening to us on the radio that you have just shown the color of the vinyl which is blue.
PIERO= Where is the camera? It’s here, look how beautiful it is.
MANOLA= Cobalt blue is this.
GIANLUCA= Even those who are not fans of Il Volo can take this, just for objects.
MANOLA= For objects…..it’s a bit of a fetish if you want…
GIANLUCA= A fetish, yes…
MANOLA= So guys I want to continue…
PIERO= This is Ignazio’s hand (he is looking at the back of the vinyl cover) “who continues to hope… close that window!”
MANOLA= Again for those who are listening on the radio, we are talking about the B side of the vinyl…
IGNAZIO= In what sense?
MANOLA = The cover, side B, practically has the hand of Ignazio.
IGNAZIO= They took it while I was running away and I said HELP….
GIANLUCA= In reality they chose Ignazio’s hand because it is the most beautiful of the three…😁
MANOLA= Oh well….
GIANLUCA= I won’t show you mine because you’d run away.
IGNAZIO= But Piero’s is nice too, just nice…😁
MANOLA= Guys, all three of you are beautiful, in any position, as you put on you are beautiful and you stay beautiful. 🥰
PIERO= I injured myself this morning in the walk-in closet (he has a plaster on his finger), I was about to put on a jacket and there was a sheet metal edge….
IGNAZIO=…….and we don’t care..😂😂😂…Were you saying? (to Manola)
MANOLA= Too many things, you have to make a selection. No, let’s close, I want to hear you sing again, okay? (to the audience) – YES – and so I’ll leave the stage to you. This evening in the Isy Bank Music Place three extraordinary voices: Il Volo!
IGNAZIO= This next song is bel canto 2.0, we can say.
PIERO= So, there was a dear journalist who commented on this song saying after listening to it: “You have made bel canto more contemporary”. I think it was one of the best compliments we received and it was also our goal, and it’s also difficult to sing it.
IGNAZIO= It’s difficult to sing it, but above all we are happy with the message it sends, because with this album we wanted to send messages that talk about great themes and there is a song that we will sing after which is called IL MONDO ALL’INCONTRARIO which talks about the desire to hope, to dream, in a better way…
PIERO= Ideal..
IGNAZIO= Ideal, and this song instead invites you to enjoy life, enjoy every moment of life, because life, in the end, is as beautiful as a work which is not intended as just a work of music, but can be anything, a work of art, anything, so we wanted to say this to all the guys of our age, but of all ages, to take advantage of every second, every moment of life, because no one gives it back to us and then “Today won’t come back anymore”. 👏👏👏
PIERO= Thank you, thank you all. The next one is the last unreleased song we will sing, but not the last of the evening.
We can’t leave you like this! 😍
IL MONDO ALL’INCONTRARIO, the lyrics of this song, imagine an ideal world, imagine this stage and each of us inside this stage shouting this desire, it is truly a utopian text, but hope is the last to die.
DANIELA= Not only the successes of the last album but also those that made them famous all over the world, this evening at the Isy Bank Music Place, again for us: Il Volo!
IGNAZIO= Now let’s go into the world that has accompanied us until today.
GIANLUCA= This is a song that we wrote about ten days ago and we decided to add it to the repertoire the day before yesterday. 😂😂😂
PIERO= I wrote the lyrics and the refrain goes: “Gira il mondo gira nello spazio senza fine”… I was inspired. 🤣🤣🤣
GIANLUCA= You know this one well, so let’s all sing together at the top of our lungs: IL MONDO!
PIERO= I heard a beautiful joke these days, did you hear that joke (addressing Ignazio)
IGNAZIO= No, it depends on which one?
PIERO= Il Volo is separating!!! 😂😂😂
IGNAZIO= Ahhhhh I have certain jokes….
PIERO= But my son, alone, I say, one two three (Gianluca Ignazio Piero), alone, we don’t even get to Monza..😂😂😂.. (Monza is the closest city to Radio Italia and Piero means to say that alone their success wouldn’t even reach Monza), I’m not saying Switzerland 🤣 (which isn’t very far away), but we won’t even get to Monza.
What’s next? Ah, this is nice, with this song we participated in Sanremo 2019.
PIERO= We would like to remember that the lyrics of “Musica che resta” were written by the great Gianna Nannini.
DANIELA= Welcome back here to the Isy Bank Music Place, evening at Radio Italia live together with Il Volo. Hello lads .
I+P+G= Hi, hi.
IGNAZIO= How are you?
DANIELA= I’m fine, and how are you?
I+G+P= Good, good.
DANIELA= Are you ready for some questions, you are always around, I already told you, I envy you so much, because you see so many wonderful places in the world.
IGNAZIO= Well, whenever you want we’ll wait for you and take you with us.
DANIELA= I’m on my fourth Volo, but I can’t sing.
IGNAZIO= Don’t worry, let’s do a radio tour…
GIANLUCA= Radio Volo.
DANIELA= I’m in!
PIERO= We will do a tour with interviews in between.
DANIELA= Oh, are you calling me?
PIERO= Yes, of course.
DANIELA= Promise! Ok, then I’m good to go.
PIERO= You have to learn Chinese, Japanese…😁
DANIELA= But I know!!
PIERO= Look, she’s thrilled….😁
DANIELA= I do.
IGNAZIO= From tomorrow he will start studying all the menus of the Japanese restaurants in Milan.
DANIELA= I already know, I think so.😁 Let’s talk about travel, how does your life on tour work? Do you also have some time to enjoy the trip or is it just work?
IGNAZIO= It depends, for example now in mid-April we leave for China and we have seven days of promotion first, then on the 20th we will do the concert in Shanghai therefore we will have the opportunity to visit it, also because it often happens that many promotional activities are carried out in the cities themselves, not only within an office or a studio, or a hotel, so in that case, we have an opportunity to see. In Japan we have seen a lot because we were lucky enough last year to be the first artists after the renovation of this very famous temple, a UNESCO heritage site, Kiyomizu-dera. We are the only artists who have given a concert there, they chose us as the inauguration of the temple and it is a magical place there, very exclusive….
PIERO= From now the Temple is called Il Volo…😁
DANIELA= What was her name before??
IGNAZIO= Kiyomizu-dera.
DANIELA = Kiyomizu-dera ….now Il Volo, you’ve combined the names, beautiful.😁 So every now and then you enjoy it a little.
PIERO= But then do you know what they call Il Volo in Japan? Il Vro.
DANIELA= Really?
PIERO= I swear…
IGNAZIO= Il Vro, Il Vro …
DANIELA= It’s so cute! 🥰
PIERO= Too cute!
DANIELA= It’s particular. I want to give you a little quiz, a little game, are you up for it?
GIANLUCA= Go.
DANIELA= So, we always talk about travel, let’s stay on this topic, I would like to understand what type of travelers you are, therefore: who is the one who goes on adventures and who instead wants to be served and revered?
PIERO= So, served and revered: him (Gianluca)😁
DANIELA= Gianlu…
GIANLUCA= A prince….
PIERO= On adventure: him (Ignazio) 😁
DANIELA= Ah Ignazio, let’s go on an adventure…
PIERO= Everything planned: me.😁
DANIELA= Ok, so you’re all scheduled…
PIERO= I have to know where I should eat…
GIANLUCA= So in the end he too is served and revered, obviously..
DANIELA= You just have to have your references.
IGNAZIO= I’m honest, I like the idea of taking an adventure holiday, but in the end I always end up served and revered….
DANIELA= Me too, because I’m lazy..
IGNAZIO= Me too, like a cat and more!
PIERO= Do you know what happened once? We have finished this two month tour and we decide to all return to our home. I had organized five days in a hotel in Sicily with my brother and sister. I arrive at this hotel, I get ready, I put on my swimsuit, I arrive at the swimming pool… guess who I find at the swimming pool in the same hotel? -Ignazio- He, who used to take a bath, after the jun tour I also found him on holiday. 😂
DANIELA= Ah ah ah, you can see it’s the charm….well let’s move on. Who is the one who also tastes insects, and who also brings pasta in their suitcase?
GIANLUCA= I eat, I chop everything.
PIERO= In fact, look how thin he is.
IGNAZIO= Indeed…
GIANLUCA= Then unfortunately I feel my stomach…
DANIELA= You too, eat, taste….(to Piero and Ignazio)
IGNAZIO= Yes, everything, everything, perhaps he (Piero) is much more traditional.
GIANLUCA= No, it’s you (Ignazio) who didn’t eat the head of the fish in Japan….
IGNAZIO= But how do you eat the head of a Sardinian??? Excuse me, poor thing… there was the Sardinian who looked at me like that 😂😂
DANIELA= Because it’s not the food, but how he looks at you… I agree 😁
PIERO= I ate the spicy jellyfish, good, it seems like a softer squid. 😳
DANIELA= You throw yourself into the kitchen quite a bit. Go on. Who is the one who launches into languages he doesn’t know and the one who stops at English at most? (put that way it seems like a slightly mischievous phrase)
PIERO= Wait, wait, formulate this sentence better…😂😂😂
DANIELA= Wait, I didn’t understand it either….
GIANLUCA= So it’s a bit ambiguous…🤣🤣
DANIELA = No come on!! Guys, who even speaks languages they don’t know?
PIERO= Well, it’s better…😁
GIANLUCA= Well…..it’s hard for us mischievous people…😂😂
DANIELA= Really mischievous…🙄
IGNAZIO= Gianluca is the one who holds back, that is, he learns immediately but if he then has to speak a language he doesn’t know he holds back… Piero and I gesture and make ourselves understood in all possible ways…😁
DANIELA= Ignazio our Italian gesticulation, we only understand it in Italy.
IGNAZIO= No, no you’re wrong.
DANIELA= Oh yes?
PIERO= Even the temples in Greece understood it.😁
GIANLUCA= Think about one time, once for a sandwich, we didn’t speak English the first few times and we said “un panin prosc.cott” (a sandwich with cooked ham, but all said truncated) 🤣🤣
DANIELA= You got it!!
IGNAZIO= That was my father in Los Angeles, I asked him for a turkey sandwich and he arrived with cooked ham and I tell him: “Dad, how did you tell him cooked ham?” and he: “And what do I know, I asked for a panin prosc.cott…..and they gave it to me”😂
DANIELA= They understood it! Miraculously it was understood. 😁
Okay, then: who goes from one disco to another and who goes to sleep after dinner because they have to get up at dawn, perhaps to play sports?
GIANLUCA= Disco….what? Disco hmmm…
DANIELA= No, well, I mean to be late…
IGNAZIO= Gianlu!
GIANLUCA= No, not me, not me…
IGNAZIO= Come on, when you go to Milan you go to all the parties more than for work…😁😁 Finish it..😉
GIANLUCA= What are you saying….
PIERO= Look how white you are….😁
GIANLUCA= They made me pale???
DANIELA= No, they’re making fun of you, Gianlu, it’s not true!!😁
Ok, let’s do something, we did the travel quiz….
PIERO= Do you know what time I went to sleep last night?
DANIELA= Tell me..
PIERO= At 9.40pm.
DANIELA= Not like that though…
PIERO= Yesterday I was tired, I wanted to watch television and I fell asleep.
DANIELA= Okay, come on, but stay awake tonight, because we still have to play here.
GIANLUCA= No, he switches off at 9.40pm, while he sings he does this look..(Gianluca lies down) 🤣
PIERO= 5 minutes left (in fact it’s really around 9.40pm)
DANIELA= We have to hurry.
GIANLUCA= He has the switch, then it turns off.😂
DANIELA= Thanks guys, come back to the stage of the Isy Bank Music Place, because this evening there are these three extraordinary artists with us: Il Volo!
GIANLUCA= This last song, after Capolavoro…. no, it is the most important of our career, you know very well what it is because it is our first unreleased song, among other things, of 2015 and we had the great privilege and honor of winning the Sanremo festival, nine years have already passed….
PIERO= And since that day, since we sang that melody (he sings Hey Jude)
GIANLUCA= Are you also like Troisi? (an Italian actor)
PIERO= We have to say goodbye. So we say goodbye, we have to say goodbye guys. First of all we thank all of you (Ignazio disturbs), we would like to thank….enough Igna….
GIANLUCA= Enough Igna, come on, come on…1-2-3.
PIERO= Serious moment……we would like to first of all thank all of you this evening for being here on such an important evening for us…
GIANLUCA= And if I may, thanks to Radio Italia for all the support (Gianluca is unable to say the word and makes a raspberry)….🤣😂
IGNAZIO= The ciupporto (Ignazio also says it by distorting the pronunciation)🤣
GIANLUCA= It happens even to the best, it happens even to the best…..let’s do it again!!
PIERO= And then let us thank our record company, Sony Music for the support, the support they give us every day.
GIANLUCA= Thanks again to all the authors who contributed so that this album could be….
IGNAZIO= We don’t know, but do you pay for it? Because he always says he thanks you, but you pay him a lot a month (to say thank you), I want a percentage too!! 😂🤣
GIANLUCA= Let’s end all thanks.
PIERO= We close by thanking our entire team, all the structures that collaborate with us, our manager Michele Torpedine, Barbara, everyone, everyone who with us there are no holidays, they also work on Sundays, thank you, thank you for dedicating your time, your support and above all your seriousness to us.
GIANLUCA= And thanks also to my brother Ernesto who was also part of the direction of this project, thank you for everything, we love you! 😍
IGNAZIO= And we wanted to say a big THANK YOU to you who listen to us from home, but above all to you who came here this evening dedicating GRANDE AMORE to you. ❤️
MANOLA= They have performed on the most important stages all over the world and tonight we had them here in the Isy Bank Music Place protagonists of a live Radio Italia wow, incredible.
DANIELA= Did we sing?
MANOLA= But I no longer have a voice…at a certain point I felt like the fourth member of Il Volo…
DANIELA= Yes, you sing so well….Daniela Cappelletti and Manola Moslehy will meet you at the next Radio Italia live, again here in the Isy Bank Music Place, so goodnight to everyone.
MANOLA= Bye.
(some photos published by Radio Italia)
What a fantastic evening, what emotion, how beautiful the new songs, how friendly our boys, everything was beautiful.
I won’t add anything else, I’m waiting for your comments!!
See you soon to tell you about another live event!!
