Lots of news these days, but let’s get straight to the most recent news.

During the television broadcast on Rai 1, all the singers admitted to Sanremo were invited to say the title of the song they will present at the festival.

The broadcast was live from the Sanremo Casino, where the Sanremo Festival was born.

GIANLUCA= Yes, I truly believe that the secret, and it is a message that we also want to send to those who have followed us over all these years, is to always remain cohesive, cultivate friendships, even if we have not chosen each other, learn to know each other, not to clash the sensitivity of the other, I think this is really important, because being cohesive makes us stronger. For this evening, Il Volo wore Armani suits, as VANITY FAIR tells us.

Black in three look variations, which demonstrate the desire to bring the three different personalities of the trio onto the stage. Ignazio Boschetto’s outfit is the most linear, Piero Barone wears a tuxedo with a t-shirt instead of a shirt while Gianluca Ginoble sports a softer outfit with an open shirt.

And in this video Piero, Gianluca and Ignazio tell us that this video is on Sanremo RAI’s Instagram and they ask us to let them know if we like the title of the new song and Gianluca specifies that it is not self-referential.

Many newspapers and broadcasts talked about the evening and this is just the evening in which the titles of the songs were discovered. As you can understand, there is a lot of visibility that revolves around the Festival and this is certainly what Il Volo was looking for when launching a new work.

It is absolutely forbidden to listen to the song before the Sanremo evening, under penalty of disqualification. Furthermore, as I have already told you, all the singers competing cannot appear on any television network other than RAI, the regulations are very restrictive on this.

And in this video, Gianluca, Ignazio and Piero jokingly communicate on the web the title of the song they will sing in Sanremo in 2024.

Il Volo was in Monte Carlo for a private event. Very little was revealed about the participation.

IL VOLO AND STYLE: ARMANI or LARDINI by Daniela

During the Sanremo period, many articles were published on Piero, Ignazio and Gianluca. Among the many, this one in particular has aroused my curiosity and I hope yours too.

Over the years, the guys from Il Volo have changed their style: at the beginning of their career they were just teenagers, a bit chubby and awkward but then, over time, they changed image and style, showing extreme safety, taking care of their physical form and the look, which ranges from super-elegant dark suits, to official events, complete with ties and bow ties,

to casual and trendy clothing that showed off at the Premios Juventud awards ceremony, held at the Watsco Center in Miami in July 2018, always paying maximum attention to their appearance.

In 2015, on the stage of the Ariston IL VOLO triumphs with the song “Grande Amore” but also with the best of Emporio Armani’s Made in Italy.

In the same period on his profile, Gianluca tagged himself in Via Manzoni 31. The address corresponds to the Milanese workshop of Giorgio Armani and the location is just a dressing room.

But even without tags, the look would have been unmistakable:

Basic t-shirts and trousers with darts and sports pockets scream the style of King George.

And for the second photo another Armani classic: gray.

Leather jacket with slightly rock tones, trousers with tubular leg and British style lace-ups. Gianluca is not new to these clothes: on the stage of the Ariston, in fact, the three boys showed off a look by Emporio Armani. Their image has been studied ad hoc according to a game of contrasts: the lyric tradition that wears leather jackets. No jacket, tie or bow tie (reserved for the final): the classic takes on the look again, especially if the protagonists in these scenes are little more than twenty years old.

Relations with Armani have always been very friendly. Armani has always been a good choice for them.

Also for the 2015 Eurovision, IL VOLO chooses ARMANI.

During the video, as they have done several times on several occasions, they will wear the new EA7 sneakers (Emporio Armani). The set of the new video will be the beautiful Arena of Verona,

Even for the first night of Notte Magica in Florence, IL VOLO chooses Armani.

The 2017 NOTTE MAGICA tour is about to begin, the boys visit the Lardini tailoring, here with Brenna Lardini.

During the Notte Magica tour, they will always wear Lardini suits, marked with a flower-shaped brooch, placed on the lapel of the jacket.

But we arrive at Sanremo 2019.

IL VOLO, on the red carpet of the Ariston, parades with clothes designed by Manuel Ritz: the brand has joined the three young tenors for the return of the Ariston to the stage and their 10-year career. For the occasion, they wore tuxedos from the Evening line and jackets from the main collection.

We arrive at the three evenings of Sanremo 2019.

This evening we must reject the look of the three tenors who appear on stage with outfits that are too pompous and excessive for their young age. Either too casual or too elegant and baroque like in the final, a middle way isn’t it? (taken from Donna Fanpage)

This is my opinion.

I loved the velvet jackets by Lardini, but my opinion is that when they wear Armani, they are simply unbeatable, especially in this outfit.

Who doesn’t like them to dress like that?

MOSCOW : SECOND BRAVO AWARDS by Daniela

On March 19, IL VOLO was a guest at the famous Bolshoi Theater in Moscow, for the SECOND BRAVO AWARDS ceremony.

For those who could not follow the whole event, let’s recap everything from the beginning.

Monday 18 March, departure for Moscow.

In this video, the usual Ignazio joker on the plane says he wanted to try to read the safety instructions of the plane, but says it’s a little complicated (they are written in Cyrillic) !!!!

And then he says, “We’re in Moscow.”

Here they are on arrival, with some fans.

In this video Piero says:

“I just arrived in my room and Barbara gave me the wonderful news that in half an hour we have the official tests for tomorrow, so we have to run to the theater.”

This photo was posted by Piero, and shows the theater in its beauty.

I would say that guys take our breath away because they are elegant and beautiful. They wear Armani, and they wear it just fine !!

And here we are at the time of the event ….. the curtain rises, IL VOLO sings “Libiam de’ lieti calici” from Traviata.

Too short, all over, good as always.

What is surprising is that these guys go from a pop program to a classic program with such a disarming ease.

Sanremo STILL CONTROVERSY by Daniela

The chaos caused by the videos of the press room journalists in Sanremo has not yet subsided.

Today all the radio and TV programs have spoken about IL VOLO and the injustice suffered.

Many famous people in Italy have taken a position defending the boys.

The boys did not intervene in any transmission, and their attitude aroused great admiration from many people. There are comments that come also from many who were not their fans, but now take their defense.

Among the many, what has made me a lot of effect is this of Michele Monina.

He is a critic who has always written bad things, even very bad and offensive on our boys. He had never met Piero, Ignazio and Gianluca and in the early days of Sanremo, he had had a long interview with them. He liked them a lot and he understood what kind of people they are. At the end of the interview he said that he liked them a lot, even if they sing a kind of music that he does not like.

Today Monina, after reading what happened in the press room has published this nice video of the boys and has commented:

“The moment when it comes out that a part of the Press Room has insulted the boys of Il Volo, here is the moment we met. The criticisms can be made, but we do not hide ourselves … Ah, best wishes Gianluca Ginoble!”

And this is what Alessandro Quarta said, the violinist with whom they made the duet.

“Being on the stage of Sanremo with Il Volo was a blow of crazy and wonderful emotion, we found ourselves right away, the charge was wonderful.

I really like the guys from Il Volo, they are the only international Italian artists. They are loved all over the world. As an Italian and a musician it is important. We invented everything, we Italians, from notes to instruments. We do not forget it.

But as I said, things have not yet settled, there is still a lot of rage for the unfair treatment suffered by IL VOLO and today in an interview with a radio, Michele Torpedine, has confirmed the desire of the three singers to pass to legal proceedings against journalists who have insulted them in the press room, while reading the Festival ranking.

Yesterday evening, while I was writing the post, I randomly listened to the TV and I came across a program, usually of politics, where instead they talked about Sanremo, and then I immediately listened well.

The topic was, of course, the video of the press room.

The conductor of the evening Nicola Porro, has made specific questions to the journalist in the studio, Paolo Giordano, who was present in the press room of Sanremo.

Paolo Giordano, four years ago, gave very low votes to IL VOLO, but then a couple of years later, knowing them, he had changed his mind about them and then, afterward he always spoke well.

After listening to the questions asked by Porro to Paolo Giordano, I asked my friend, Daniela Ci, to extract from the whole video of the evening, only the piece concerning the questions on IL VOLO, and here’s what was said:

NP = Reply to me please Paul, is it true that there was an insult against IL VOLO? What have they told the guys from IL VOLO that they were shit?

That’s true, you were there, you’re an eyewitness, was there this thing?

PG = Yes, I heard it, it was there, and I disagree because I’m not like that.

man in the studio = Only the person who pronounced it will answer for this.

woman in the studio = Even others, they imitated and ridiculed them.

NP = Paolo Giordano, you have to explain something, you are the critic of IL GIORNALE …… but there was a particular climate against IL VOLO, because they were too perfect, or against this ULTIMO, in the press room? Was there the feeling you saw, that it was independent of the music? It’s a question I ask you and I trust what you tell me.

PG = Against IL VOLO there is a fairly widespread prejudice, for years, practically since they were born. Against ULTIMO, no.

All this makes me angry even more, because it was a situation that we fans knew very well, while not explaining why there is this attitude.

But seeing this confirmed by a journalist is really terrible.

This confirms that ULTIMO was not penalized by the jury of the press room, but only by the jury of honor who gave only a sixth place to ULTIMO in the evening of the duets. Instead IL VOLO was penalized by both juries, the duet took the lowest place, so I say that if the juries had not penalized IL VOLO so, it would probably still be in first place.

ANGER, ANGER AND STILL ANGER

All this history, will still have a train, but in the meantime let’s enjoy the moment of the proclamation of the three winners.

And we do a little gossip ….. our boys were wearing ARMANI.

Moreover, Radio Airplay tells us that the song of IL VOLO is broadcast in 8 countries of the world: Bulgaria-Croatia-France-Greece-Italy-Malta-Switzerland-Hungary.

Roccaraso is over and The Guys are as busy as ever, attending the Armani show during Fashion Week and having the Porta a Porta special airing tonight (stayed tuned for anything I can find about those events).

“This video is from the start of the concert in Roccaraso on June 18. Our guys announced that the concert was being dedicated to little Iaia (Yaya), who has been undergoing treatment for Nueroblastoma (a cancer which generally originates in the adrenal glands). She desperately needed treatment in the US. After the people of Abruzzo (the region in which Iaia’s family lives) began the campaign “Un Sogno Di Iaia” (Iaia’s Dream), with the help of Il Volo (more so Gianluca, himself being from Abruzzo), she and her family were able to travel to Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in NY and she received the treatment she needed. The ever-compassionate and tender-hearted Gianluca is visibly quite emotional, and his sweet brother Ignazio comforts him. Bless his heart’!”

Robbie Williams, of whom Gianluca is a fan, was also invited to perform at the same private event and in fact there are several videos in which Gianluca and also Piero can be seen listening to Robbie sing, with Gianluca’s evident enthusiasm.

……and what you don’t expect is that Robbie, while he is singing Angels (the song that Gianluca sang with the soprano in the Arena), invites Gianluca to sing and gives him the microphone.

Gianluca was very excited and wrote on his page: “Last night was crazy with @robbiewilliams 🔥 and now who sleeps anymore.”

Shortly before the Monte Carlo event, the staff announced that Il Volo would return to concert at the Verona Arena in May, on 9-11-12.

There was an immediate rush for tickets, because advance sales began the same day as the announcement.

I already have my ticket and even if I didn’t manage to get the best seats, I will be in row no. 5 side, I can’t wait and I will definitely meet lots of friends.

Meanwhile, my beautiful Christmas EP has also arrived. What a beautiful gift!!

On 15 December in Bologna the Donatello Restaurant (where Il Volo often goes) celebrated 120 years of activity and among the various guests at dinner there were also Piero Barone and Michele Torpedine.

At a certain point in the evening a beautiful duet was born between Piero and a soprano to the tune of the song “Non ti scordar di me.”

But let’s take a look at the new sweet engaged couple, here are some beautiful photos of them together in Milan, Ignazio and Michelle, but how beautiful they are!! ❤️❤️

For now there is nothing else, but soon it will be Christmas and therefore I take this opportunity to wish you my personal wishes for a beautiful Christmas, which will bring joy, health, happiness and above all in this moment, PEACE. ❤️
