After the June 5th concert in the Verona Arena, there were many new things.
But first of all, I want to start with a photo of the concert I promised you, to show you where the families of the boys were during the evening.

On June 23, Gianluca Ginoble went to visit the Vatican museums. Beautiful museums, full of works of art that are envied all over the world.
Gianluca was accompanied by two young women. One of them, Nicole, was considered Gian’s new “girlfriend”, but after this episode, there was no more gossip about the couple. In the photo above, Nicole is the girl in the light floral dress.
Gianluca, inspired by the environments, also sang some verses of the Ave Maria. It was wonderful to hear
Gianluca’s voice resound in the beautiful Vatican rooms.
Piero’s birthday was on June 24th. Surely you have all seen the numerous and beautiful photos, also because the birthday party lasted two days.
On the evening of June 23, to arrive at midnight, there was a nice “party in white”, where all the guests were dressed in white. But how beautiful were Piero and Gianluca in white?
Among the numerous guests, including Torpedine and Barbara.
Great justified absentee, Ignazio, who was in Brazil, seems to be in the company of a damsel.
Here, we say, “If they are roses, they will bloom”. 😉
There was a lot of fun, the party took place in Sicily.
Look what a nice gift Gianluca gave to Piero !!
The three hands crossed, really beautiful and meaningful.
The party continued throughout the 26th day together with friends and family.
And then also in Taormina!!
…………. and could not miss Bambar and Saretto, with its excellent granitas!!
June 30th, Ignazio was at a cousin’s wedding.
Piero also went to a wedding, but I think it’s wedding of his a friend.
On July 5, however, a little friend of ours we met during the concert dedicated to Morricone: Julian Iorio, was interviewed for the broadcast DEDICATED on Rai 1 and Ignazio Boschetto intervened during the interview.
IGNAZIO = Julian, how are you?
Meanwhile, I wanted to say thank you for keeping me company on the Arena stage, it was great to share the stage with you, you were appreciated by everyone, ah, what have you done !!

JULIAN = So, I was excited, but I knew that I had mum and dad behind the scenes, and Ignazio by my side, and the whole orchestra was behind me picking me up. (he means that the orchestra was supporting him)😁❤

July 8, also, Il Volo announced the definitive cancellation of the remaining Italian concerts (including Taormina unfortunately) and the new dates for 2022. Tickets already purchased remain valid.

What can I say, many events have filled the days of our guys.
Piero, Ignazio and Gianluca are back in a great way, they don’t have a moment’s break, and the three concerts in East Europe were great. Very good because as fans, we suffer when we don’t see or hear them for a long time.
I must say that the latest announcement, the one relating to the Frasassi Caves, gives me the chills, I just want to see what they will do in that beautiful context, it will be fantastic.
Ok, I admit that it is nice to start a post with good news and this is it, even if by now everyone will be aware of it: Gianluca has done the control swab and is no longer positive !!
Here is the selfie and message with which Gianluca gave the news.

We are all happy with this and suppose it is the same for Ernie.
But next time Gianluca, send us a big smile, so we are happier.
A beautiful smile like this one below that you sent to your friend Marino Bartoletti, who published it with his comment:

Always very nice our Marino Bartoletti, for him the boys are just like his grandchildren!
But Piero and Ignazio, where are they? Rest reassured, the two of them are fine. Gianluca’s contagion occurred after the Christmas event, where everyone was in their own home.
Piero on January 21 posted this beautiful photo to wish Placido Domingo a happy birthday.
Furthermore, Dario Mirabile, a friend of Piero, publishes these hands, undoubtedly of Piero, who performs the beautiful music of Morricone of Nuovo Cinema Paradiso, very sweet.
So the work on Morricone’s special continues!
As we all know, Ignazio is involved in the BOIN COLLECTION project, together with his friend, new father, Fabio Ingrassia.

Another particularly juicy bit of news, was this of a sharing in a song of the new Mario Biondi CD, it is the same Biondi who writes it:

So many enthusiastic comments on the translation of a speech between one song and another from IL Volo, during the concert in Taormina, that I looked for another video where there was a speech to be translated and I found it.

GIAN = (Ignazio speaks to Piero) Anyway, opening the parenthesis, Gianluca told me the “cassate” (silly, meaningless phrases) that you say …. But do you realize? (many laughs)
GIAN = But I would never allow myself to say these things into the microphone.
IGNA = Saint Gianluca, who are you (referring to Gianluca), the fourteenth apostle?
PIERO = Could I please introduce the next piece?
GIAN = Maybe I’ll do it, also because you two will sing. I’ll be brief, I promise you.
IGNA = But why? Are you leaving?
GIAN = Yes.
IGNA = Ah, the Ave Maria is good for something! (applause and laughter)
GIAN = There are five thousand of you against me tonight, I’m the only one from Abruzzo, is there any Abruzzo here who gives me a hand? ….. Oh thank goodness!

IGNA = I’m in Sicily (lots of laughter and applause) it takes a passport to come here. (Piero laughs a lot). It is since I moved to Bologna that this thing hasn’t turned out (the dialect of Bologna is very different from Sicilian).
You live here, you go to the baker and say “Will you give me half a kilo of bread?” (Ignazio says the sentence in Sicilian and then repeats the same sentence in Bolognese, the sentence is the same, but the sound result is very different), it’s not the same thing !!!
GIAN = No, it’s not the same …
IGNA = But it’s still beautiful!
GIAN = Come on, am I the presenter?
IGNA = Go!
GIAN = Ladies and Gentlemen, Piero Barone and Ignazio Boschetto, will sing only for you: “O Paese d’o sole” (applause)
These guys are really funny, and I like Ignazio a lot when he speaks the Sicilian dialect.
Gianluca does well the part of being rejected by Ignazio, but it is really clear that they love each other.
And what about this spectacular duet between Ignazio and Piero, this is one of my favorite Neapolitan songs, every time I get goosebumps.

Since there is no interesting news on Il Volo, I searched through the old videos, and I found one of June 2017, recorded in Taormina.
The speech that precedes the song is very hilarious, Piero, Ignazio and Gianluca are really three nice rascals, who know how to entertain us.
I hope that the translation reproduces the nice atmosphere…
GIAN = Here we are! (applause)
IGNA = Sorry I’m late, but tenors pee too. (laughter from the audience) (he clears his throat)
I wanted to make a serious speech ….. we are fond of Italy, in particular Sicily, two of us are Sicilians, (he sees a white cloud from the audience) … but who smokes? What happened? Is there white smoke for the new Pope? (many laughs)

GIAN = DO NOT SMOKE!
IGNA = (he resumes the speech interrupted by cigarette smoke). However, we are mainly linked to Taormina. Taormina is very special for us, because we think it is one of the most beautiful towns in the world, (applause) but above all because we met some real friends here.
To name a few, like Saretto Bambar who makes wonderful granitas ….

IGNA = … then Giovanni of LA BOTTE (restaurant near the Bambar), then all our tennis friends ….
GIAN = Even the Metropole Hotel, who always treat us like royalty.
IGNA = The promise I want to make to the people of Taormina is to spend my summer here in Taormina. (applause) ….. but it’s not that now that you know, this summer everyone come to Taormina !!!!! I come around day 32 …. (lots of laughter)
GIAN = of December !!
Well, let’s move on to the next song.
IGNA = Yes, sorry.
GIAN = Maybe many of you know that our journey, indeed, our flight together, started more than eight years ago.
The first time we sang together was April 25, 2009. The years go by quickly …..
PIERO = Eight years old … you must understand that we spend most of the year together, so when we go home I happen to call my brother or sister, by their names. (Ignazio or Gianluca)
IGNA = It can happen, but one thing worries me, I don’t mean for your brother, but to call your sister by our names ….. (lots of laughter).
PIERO = It can happen, but the real problem is that when Ignazio comes home, he calls his dog, by our names (lots of laughter).
IGNA = It’s details …
PIERO = But I say, have I ever replied “bow wow?”
IGNA = No, but you must know that dogs become like children and …..
GIAN = This is a show of affection!
IGNA = Exactly.
And then Franzino (Franz, Ignazio and Alessandra’s dog), looks a little like you, has your features, look I’m complimenting you.
PIERO = Thank you, what a brother!
IGNA = Maybe even the cut of the eyes, the tuft ..
PIERO = Do you have a dog with a tuft?
IGNA = It’s hairy ..
PIERO = And am I hairy? (he refers that everybody knows Ignazio to be the hairiest of them three). Hairy me?
IGNA= (At this point, Ignazio speaks in Sicilian dialect. He is the hairiest of the three and I think this causes him a little embarrassment, since the current fashion involves smooth male chests. That summer, Ignazio shaved his chest, but the result was that his skin was not smooth at all, but full of small rashes, I believe that the meaning of the sentence said by Ignazio is this …)
And then, the hair removal must be done only on the legs of the women and not the men on the chest …. then I become a meteorite! 😁😁
Let’s move on.
GIAN = The first song we sang together that day, you know it true, you remember it, you saw that famous episode (of Ti Lascio Una Canzone).
Ladies and gentlemen, we’ll all sing together O SOLE MIO !!(applause)

They are good singers, good guys, good entertainers, what more do we want.
Attending one of their concerts is a real experience, but now we are in a crisis of withdrawal from concerts.
We hope that the situation will return to normal soon, so that we can once again enjoy your voices, your beauty and even your antics personally.
This year, due to Covid-19, everything is different, but a semblance of normality seems to be returning here in Italy.

Ignazio is in Sicily, but he is driving fans and gossip crazy.
New love for the beautiful puppy owner?
Perhaps, but for the moment we are content to see Ignazio so happy.
Whenever possible, Gianluca and Ignazio sing some songs.
